My goal tonight is to lock down some random small group action as it will be the last time I’m out before fight club and server reset. I’ve been forced to play bigger objectives so far this week with all the action going on in KBL but hopefully that died down a little and there’s some wiggle room for some mischievousness because I feel rusty. The only roamers I’ve run into so far are from OG who apparently had better places to be at the time. Though I did get a fight out of an OG ele who killed me but they did not return to the spot for a rematch (not like I expected them to though it would’ve been nice). Anyway so long as my bois (holla!) are on we’ll be clubbin’. If they’re not doing dungeons.

Also before you skewer me for saying I haven’t seen roaming groups from Magz or DB it’s because I don’t get to play every night and when I do it’s only for maybe 2 or so hours. I’m a useless casual punk any day that isn’t reset or Sunday. :*(

I don’t disagree. But the second someone takes offense and goes feral on everyone the conversation should be over, reported, and not fed into any more, end of story. It’s the nature of our relationship with Magz and DB (and actually all of the rest in the past to be honest) this match up and we need to accept that we’re not going to be having introspective life-changing dialogue with them, especially once the conversation degrades into slandering and obvious trolling. So you didn’t win an argument on the internet, the horror of it all! Just don’t respond at all and let it go is what I’m saying. I’m all for constructive conversation which I try my hardest to impart on these threads, but let’s face it, it ain’t happening right now and I doubt very much that attitude will change between now and Friday.

Stick to the personal stories or triumph and funny defeats, give credit where credit is due, tell Magz and DB you love them and squeeze them and make them uncomfortable with your awkward hugs while whispering sweet nothings into their ears.

Maybe, maybe not, but we can end it on our side. Kain needs to stop responding to and propagating it completely. This “I know you are but what am I?” needs to stahp. When has this back and forth ever worked in anyone’s favor? Who is going to come in here and say “wow Kain all your many angry forum words have convinced us you are the greatest ever! We apologize and will be sending each of you 1g in reparations. We aren’t worthy!”? No. One. So please, Kaineng, grow up and quit it.

Yes you were the other one I wanted to commend but I couldn’t remember your name. You were #1 in keeping those supply grubby Kains in line.

I didn’t get to play very long last night but I saw some neat things come from Kain in a short amount of time on KBL. Mags was in Bluevale trebbing our Bay keep, which boy that was obnoxious. Nicely locked down, we tried a couple different things but it wasn’t working. We finally portaled in to take out 2/3 superior trebs, only to have them build new ones. A second portal didn’t work to knock out the new ones, the third did. We were all running Yaks in and supplies over from the Garrison to keep the wall up and get our waypoint finished (which btw, really good job letting the upgrade finish, I was impressed almost everyone listened and didn’t pull supplies form the keep).

Meanwhile, DB takes hills out from under us since so much of our attention was directed at the Mag blockade. Unfortunately we had to commit to what keep was more important at the time and since Hills would be as good as gone before anyone got over there, we chose Bay. DB took the golems they tore through hills with to our Garrison, but that wasn’t something we would let stand. I believe we killed all the golems and pushed DB back into Hills. We then returned to Bay and whittled down Mag after finally getting enough people to push them out. I don’t know if we ultimately saved Bay because I had to log, but it looked quiet when I left.

A special cookie goes out to commander Lucennt for keeping us focused and being patient.

I have had the worst lag today. I keep losing fights because my character decides to just stand there while all the CDs blink forever. >:( Enjoy the loot from that, everybody else.

We’re doing better since Friday. Before people jump my kitten for being critical of Kain, I am never talking about score or that one guild who used TS/vent/mumble that one time when I am saying these things. And it’s also not about being double teamed or the secret Draguuma Empire or whatever everyone thinks is going on. It’s all about how you respond to it. Are people defending supply camps when our keeps are so obviously being choked out, placing the correct siege, having a plan before they rush a keep they just spent 20 minutes knocking the walls down, responding to attacks with the appropriate amount of people, prioritizing locations, etc. That’s what I’m talking about. We still can’t defend camps or break a camp camping (is that what it’s called) to save our lives but I am seeing more of the other things that just weren’t there Friday night.

Now we will learn some things this week and go right back to unbalanced matchups starting next week so we will forget it all. Oh boy!

And lighten up forum Kains. You really gotta let people telling you that you suck go. It’s a good real life strategy. Haven’t any of you grown up with siblings or rivals?

Kain you were schooled last night. There’s no argument there. Learn from it, it is actually a good thing. I experienced shady queue problems as well and trust me, that was not why we were struggling. Let’s cover the basics so we don’t have to fight about it later: We outnumber you guys 1 billion to 1, WM are all bots, some mesmer hacked into something and took the entire map, Kaineng can’t coordinate their way out of a paper bag, Kaineng are like the champion boasters of everywhere, Magz and DB aren’t outnumbered they’re just not trying hard enough, Kaineng has ruined WvW with its transfers, Kaineng lost that fight because Magz/DB outnumbered us for like 30 seconds, something about that Bunzy person. Good?

Now I am stuck at work and can’t queue up. Boo. I for one am still happy about this matchup.

Not sure which guild you are in since you don’t have a guild tag in your sig (but I’m thinking you are original Kaineng). I don’t generally get to play until the evenings, which means we are usually running 10 by then anyway.

Wasn’t trying to insult anyone, it’s just hard to find smaller guild groups from Kaineng due to the needle in a haystack meme. Honestly though, it’s typically hard for 5mans to find each other even on a T8 population server.

You even brought up one I’ve never even seen before so shows how easily we can miss them here too. We don’t even have 10 in the guild that WvW (the other day we were excited to have 5! a full party!) so that would explain us not running into you.

Only Kaineng I saw out doing 5man was WM and some people from Team OP (or something like that). It’s hard to run across them due to the overall population of Kaineng though.

My guild runs 4-5 but we only ran into AD maybe once or twice during our rematch and it was when they were mixed in with others. I don’t recall seeing you at all. We had more luck with 5 man squabbles with Bsty. We try to stay separate from the zerg but they’re kind of everywhere you go so we don’t always look differentiated.

This is literally not possible if you mean by points. Mag’s night time weekday crew is like 10-15 people across all borderlands. DB’s daytime crew is similarly anemic going by proportion. If kaineng took 2nd in day and night during the week, they’d still win by points.

Reset and weekend should be really competitive, though.

I said please. I’ll take your word for it, seeing as I’ll probably spend more times in queues than playing this weekend. My despair is all consuming. I’m looking forward to Mag’s group roamers the most! Tell me you still have a lot of those?

To add to FC as this comes up every week, if it’s a 2v2 or more define the rules up front. Down and out or spike until the last remains, whatever just make sure everyone is aware of it. Last week we did spike until the last remains and I liked that a lot, plus you’ll get some loot that way.

YB and CD have put up a great fight. Not everything is about that pie chart. With even numbers I would be surprised if we even came in second place.

My favorite part about last night was the WM zerg running in a circle being chased by an AR zerg fighting over and going through Pangloss and Ogre’s. It just looked funny visually, like the Benny Hill song was playing in my head.

I agree. I only run in a small party, and it is much better. Translates to there being more time to get away when we see an enemy zerg coming up the map, and that’s a big deal for my repair bills.

My puny upleveled engi was a wrecking machine with a wrench last night in WvW so I’m sold, and I’m not even running a power/crit centered build right now. Not even gonna complain.

Looks like most of the action was in CDBL over the weekend. Always a queue.
Gotta say I am not getting the best loot in the world so far, maybe it’s because I was running my alts, maybe because I was a heathen unto myself and zerging with my alts on top of that (hey, exp is exp). I hope you guys are banking more off of us. I think I got a dye off a mob once. Sold it, those things are money makers right now! Anyway. Neither CD or YB have danced on my corpse yet! I appreciate it. Don’t rub it in, man. Zerg fights at Sunny that when on almost all day Sunday were fantastic. Zergolytes were listening well for the most part.

My parting suggestion for Kain of the day is: commanders should talk to each other about what they’re doing and where they need people more. We had a mini map chat implosion when backup wasn’t received at an undisclosed location. I have a hunch it’s because the blue doritos weren’t communicating their needs to each other and too focused on trying to win the hearts of the pugs. I don’t know for sure, for I am small and lack the hat of the blue dorito. Just a hunch. We are quicker at reacting now, now we need to learn how to react in more than one place at once.

Yak’s, you guys are my favorite server we’ve faced so far. I remember back in T8 I admired this server a lot, you are a funny bunch. I’m glad to finally fight you. You guys are GOOD. I’ve never seen anyone defend a supply camp with so much ferocity. Last night you were trebbing Hills in your BL with 4 superior trebs. Me and my party ran down there to ballista them, but nope, you already had scouts watching for that. I love it, you always seem to be prepared and I think it sets you apart. And this is my impression after only one night of fights.

Kain, your response times are great so far and I like that I saw smaller zergs running around instead of 1 giganto zerg. Keep it up, but learn to scout because Yak’s will have that over us every time.

CD? I didn’t really see you. I’m sure we’ll meet sometime soon.

There are a few small groups, I can’t tell if a lot left or are just in PvE until we hit a wall. My guild doesn’t run more than 1 party at a time. [ONI], [BC] (haven’t seen BC in a while) are others… sadly I can’t remember more. So many new people I can’t keep track.

My head has become one with my desk. Don’t we have enough flack to deal with? This thread is just begging to be swamped with llama drama.

This thread is a complete embarrassment and I hope it gets locked. DR, you faced the same bitter vitriol on your way up that we’ve been getting every week now. Your cognitive dissonance is showing, blinding me even. Pots and kettles calling each other black. I was looking forward to a tone of rivalry and fun jabs now that your problem people are gone, but you’re just as mad at us for no reason as everyone else we’ve faced. I’ll be sitting this thread out this week if it stays open. I expected better from you as another server who has charted a similar path as us, and I especially expected better of some Kains in here to not take the flame bait. Just so, so disappointing.

Some serious class acts from both servers this week. NSP, I’m sorry our rematch couldn’t be under more egalitarian conditions. One day. I hope you both appreciated the fights when they were good, and I do think there were many. You’ll be so much more comfortable in a lower tier. Stiff competition in that direction the way it’s shaping up, and you all are the type to find the most motivation under pressure. I won’t wish you luck, you don’t need it and don’t seem to want it from us anyway. Just have fun.

I was fighting a bit earlier at our spawn point in NSP and I wanted to see the fight club. I have meet some great people there. I joined a group of kaineng and I had a lots of fun fooling around. It was funny when I was stuck in the crossfire when both server where trying to kill each other, I’m really bad at 1 vs 150.

I wanted to join the fight club but I didn’t wanted to cover myself in shame. I was hopping that there could have been some people from NSP that I could have joined for some team fight. Joining with Harmless would probably have made a good team, she would probably won the fight all by herself :P

The best part was the moose part, being a NSP moose can be tough.

I had lots of fun thanks everyone and a big special thank to those players from Kaineng in my party.

We are actually dead serious about this. We really dont want a numbers advantage. Its fine if you do. But we dont. We rather fight bigger servers and win a close game than win with numbers by a large margin. In fact… i rather lose big than win big if its only because of numbers.

Every server has zergs, barking commanders, and small groups. What you need to find is a small guild who only roams or does ninja operations.

Hope I see more Kain guilds at the tea party tonight! Maybe it was just when I was on but I was one of maybe 3 non [RE] guilded players out there last week for a while. :P

My party was in KBL last night. We set up shop in Redbriar tower and waited for the AR karma train to hit it for maximum meat grinding but it never came and we got bored waiting for it to get zerged. So we went to ARBL instead.

1. Please accept our hugs and pleas for peace. We don’t hate any of the servers we’ve faced and we certainly don’t have meetings where we brag about how many people we have to make matches uneven and then cackle in a dastardly way. Anyone who is worth their salt and respect on our server would NEVER intentionally disrespect any one of you. We do call it out when we see it (at least I do), but there’s nothing more we can do than that.

2. I think after all of this dies down I will have PTSD episodes triggered by the word “transfer”. The horse is so dead its remains are dust, blowing away in the wind…

Anyway, I went from 92 badges in my current stack to 149 last night. Probably my best night for that in the game so far! No rares though. Not a single one. What gives? Stingy opponents! You were giving the best loots over the weekend.

I know my guild will invite people to party who look like they took a wrong turn at Albuquerque and ended up in W3 and help them out if we have the room. They’re usually new and don’t know what is going on and it’s a huge help to them. More should do this; keep an eye out for lowbies who are just wandering around confused and can’t or won’t do Vent for whatever reason. You find some great players that way too.

I am looking forward to this! I didn’t think I would be ready to deal with DR again after what felt like no time at all but what the hell, bring it on.

Also I keep seeing Chester everywhere. It’s Chaster. Chester makes me think he runs around everywhere without his shirt on.

Some non-Kainzerg stories for those concerned…

Yesterday afternoon me and one other capped Bluebriar camp in ARBL, fully upgraded it, and walked Yaks into DB for maybe 1.5 hours. Had to seriously defend it twice and won, some people from Kain actually came to help! The upgraded guards made a huge difference. Otherwise we were defending the yaks from an AR ranger and guard who kept trying to take it down. Seriously tanky ranger. Very impressive. We eventually lost it to a huge NSP zerg (I think it was NSP. I don’t remember. It was huge though.)

Then later that night myself and two guildmates along with an Ele from RGN or REN or something similar held Champ’s for quite some time against 2 AR guilds that wanted it very, very badly. The fights averaged 4vs8, we fought them off maybe 3 times. Then we got roflstomped by an AR/NSP (again I’m not paying attention as I die so unceremoniously) zerg and lost it.
