1800 gems is far too much for high populated servers, that like 35$ , Money I have, but not that I wanna spend

nothing should happen to mesmers or eles. we are perfect classes as we are.

I am curious, after reading all these threads and seeing what people are doing it seems this class can only run DD/S. Nothing else. Most people are going air, Some Are fire….Most Mix (like you should). But when it comes down to it, it’s either:

healer – Bringing back the holy trinity.
DD/S – this month till its nerfed

or nothing.

Where’s the variation?

am I doing it wrong, insta kicked, intsa hated if I choose to deviate? Seems that way. I was yelled at yesterday in a group for running the wrong build. Seems you can only “run a ele the right way or GTFO”

Mind you I am like level 6……

I am not use to creating a class other then a mesmer as its my only class I have. I assume Zerker gear (since it come sin light) will be the choice of armour I use, Ill prob roll with S/DD and stick primary air. I hope its not too cookie cutter….

Thoughts?

so what your saying is that if I made a new character things like dailies and laurels and other currencies except karma and what’s NOT in the bank are shared across the account? this includes dungeon tokens, fractals and laurels?

Lots of people have toons. some have more then 5…..Thats awesome. I am not a father of 2 or a working mother. I am 24, with a life and a career. The way I see GW2 today is hard to make a second character unlike GW1. I am really wanting to roll an ele but:

- I would have to do the whole personal story again (thats fine).
- I have spent lots of gems into gold to buys some things for my mesmer (Not so fine for a second character – although Its easy to stretch 12 gold….)
- Dailies across two….three characters? – I log in for an hour as it is….just to do my dailie on my one character – I would feel so obligated.
- More grinding…..

These are my fears. See with GW1 I could log out for months, come back and create a new character…..The problem with that here is that there are content patches and updates and logging out for a month means you can miss a lot….

I feel like if I make a second character that more and more time for dailies, dungeons, fractals, leveling, grinding, crafting, real $$ ….

any advice?

I love playing my mesmer, but i’m bored after I do my dailies…..

If I don’t do my dailies on the ele, and I save my laurels on the mes, can I buy things like ascended gear for the ele or are things insta character bound on aquire?

Back up what? I have made no claims, Ive asked a specific point. Where does the cutoff begin? Who sets the cutoff? And for what and when? Who gets to say whats the “right” way to play or what gear is “best” for any given part of the game?

When its left to self styled “pro’s” (who are anything but), numerical based requirements are always highly inflated over and above and actual requirement that the game may impose. Since GW2 places very little requirement to any of its content, the entire premis for the need of a inspect tool is suspect at best. Rather its more like the “other games have it so this should” demands that plague game forums these days, where a minority demand a feature from a different game that is out with the current games design style or aspirations.

I don’t EVER remember seeing them in GW1 except for the one hero you could get to join your party in NF. Aside fom that I don’t ever rememeber hearing about them…..why now?

actually I do, why? because its not my gear that affects the dungeon. its my skill. its partially my build. My gear does not affect a dungeon. my ability to play the game affects a dungeon.

Come on, don’t play dumb… Your gear affects a lot as well. Put two players of equal skill running a dungeon, one with whites and blues, and one fully exotic, and they will not finish at the same time or as easily – not by a kittening landslide.

This is hilarious……anet needs to consider this. why should I have to guest to another server and be able to not do pretty much anything – I could do on my home server.

I am thinking of a guardian only because I want to be on the front line bashing heads. I rolled a mes and became more support. I know your virtues are what makes or breaks you. and if you spec things properly, which don’t take much in terms of points, you have help your allies and really bring down the enemies.

I am not sure if this is actually possible or not, in fact I doubt it. but wow is pretty good for this. why can we not have a character on different servers? why have guesting at all?

Um I’m laughing – mesmers have NOT been nerfed as hard as a ele……i could pwn a ele with the shatter like build I run. when a patch comes out, we get – “oh we fixed that, or we nerfed this….” with a ele its “we changed EVERYTHING SO GO CRY”

as for gaurdians. they seem the same as mesmers when it comes to nerfing.

ya I mean the problem is really people do hide. When asking people to link gear, they link half of the gear and hide the rest. I mean there are times when people ask for gear check and the guy spend 5 minutes to waste people’s time and when you finally realize he won’t link and you have to kick him and find another person. Not only that when putting requirement in gwlfg, people without those requirement do try to join.

And lastly you get a group and there are those people who get angry when people start asking for gear check.

But my “grip” is not with gear check. My “grip” is with people that think everyone should play with them even if they dont’ want to.

hmmm…..how are they doing with nerfs? I have been reading some of the update notes and while eles have been beat to kitten – how are guardians? still as good as the first day they came out?

the story in this game is all over the place, first you deal with the queen, then you deal with centaurs, then bandits and then undead – IT DOESN’T WEAVE. it doesn’t come together properly.

thats what im referring too. I run a shatter like build doing kitten good damage, but I find them too slow…..I find them too idiotic. lets get back to elementalist. is it any good?

my main is a mesmer…..is this class a good fighter? is it better then war? is it like a paladin? hows the power?

I ask because the other class I am considering is ele….and ele gets nerfed so kitten hard. how is this class standing up in nerfs?

seems every patch that comes out something about it gets nerfed. Is it really that OP? I run a mesmer and I find im UP (under powered) – is this class any better. at all worth playing?

I have a level 80 mesmer I beat the game with, by beat the game I mean the personal story and the living story (thus far)…. I have only ever done the maps related to the living story and the personal story because there’s no sense in me going where I don’t have too….lets be real.

With that said, I only log in now to do my dailies and would like to roll an alt, maybe a char, maybe a sylvy maybe an asura. I already have a human.

I like mesies cause of the “look there’s six of me, now theirs none of me and your dead….” I run full zerker gear at a shatter “like” build.

But I want an ele…but I don’t – they get nerfed so hard they make my mom cry….and shes dead. I like guardians but I like the power of eles……..

I have no idea which to do….. thoughts?

guardians for all the epic armour, skills and weapons – I think they can ware heavy. or eles for their magical power……which will soon be nerfed….again….

Every single person who has stated that they want to see inspect in the game is wrong. Every single person who sais that the only stats you should see is AR and MF is WRONG.

Let me tell you mr elitist troll. AR means nothing to me. I can usually dodge direct attacks that are trying to or plan to inflict agony. You do not have the right to kick me from your fractal run because my AR is <5 or even 0. Why? Because by that logic mr troll I cannot run a fractal with any one, ever…..Until I have enough laurels to buy my fractals.

And by that logic, well I guess there can only be one “epic all time player of fate”…..Get off your high horse. This is also in state to your inspect gear. No. You don’t get to see my gear, you don’t get to judge me. You don’t get to tell me how to run a shatter build on a mes, how to run a tank like build on a guardian. Your elitist trollism.

I don’t care if I only have MF gear with no AR and a exotic bird. I can run that build based on my traits and skills – which are another thing you don’t get to see mr troll – why? because I get to play exactly how I want. I ran a full set of MF through a level 10 fractal with NO AR on a mesmer shatter like build and survived…..That’s right mr trolls, I survived. I got the loot – why? because I deserve the loot, you don’t. You didn’t run the set, you didnt set your self up for the challenge and get the fun rewards.

The mistake GW made was allowing the kicking of people from dungeon or fractal runs. You don’t get to kick me because I’m running no AR, a pure MF and surviving while your all whipeing. It doesn’t affect me, its not my fault you can run your own kitten build.

So whats the point?

You don’t get to look at my skills, my traits, my armour, my any thing and judge me on how I choose to play.

The gear I choose to run, the way I choose to play is my buisness and I have NOT found an issue in a dungeon or in a fractal because I know how to balance my class out.

currently I am running full zerker gear on a shatter like build. I only got rares except for one exotic armour and exotic weapons. I have no AR, I support you with TW and Null Field. I run a staff build to get my clones but also use DS – there are people who will kitten me for this build because its “not a cooki cuter from site pronhub.com” well guess what – who cares, I made the build my self, I like it, it works in groups and solo.

technically im not skipping things I don’t have to do. I dont feel the need to do them so I don’t do them. I dont go out of my way to go futher north then F/F needs me too because there is nothing up there for me to do. I dont farm, I save everything.
