Too bad. Maybe if siege would get a “Repair” skill instead, so you can either shoot with them OR repair, maybe that idea would get more positive votes.
If it’s skin-only, I’m fine with this.
WvW, most importantly, can give you very unique experience. There are people who think that’s enough to play and enjoy this mode, like me. Reward tracks were nice addition indeed.

If ANet has the balls to nerf their precious elite specs and other diversity-killing abominations like durability runes and the new stat sets, that’s to be determined, but I’m not expecting anything, particularly since the majority of people that would be voicing their outrage have already given up and left the game.
We won’t ever see Elite Specialisations nerf; marketing. You paid, you get better stuff. The only way for us to see more diversity is to wait for more elite specialisations to appear. When, where? God knows, since Mo himself said there will be no talking about next expansion anytime soon. Unless we will see elite specs drop in without expansion, which is really doubtful.
The bug came with lastest living story patch, I reported it and made a post in bug report section (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/You-can-pick-up-40-supplies-in-WvW/first#post6334843). It went away for a few days, but looks like it coming back now… It has something to do with Presence of the Keep buff, other than that it’s pretty random.
I don’t understand why people are so interested in changing point distribution from 3/2/1 to anything else, the absolute difference between first and last is the same, the only change is how glicko is scored. Adjusting the points to 4/3/2 or 5/4/3 does nothing to change the final results but slows down glicko changes so that bad matchups remain bad matchups for longer.
At the moment, top server gets same amount of points as two other servers summed up. Changing scores to 4/3/2 would bring it more together, make each skirmish much more important, hoarding points at the beggining wouldn’t mean as much as it does now since it would be much easier to catch up.
Overall, I really like the idea, but I hope UI will get some redesigning. It’d be cool to get some small reward for each place, like reward track potions.

How did I miss this one? That’s great news!
Idk, I have 5000 flax seeds stocked but I barely have 1 stack of Flax fibers. Leathers are somewhat easy to come by (just as mithril and elder wood), idk why it is so expensive compared to the others.
Leather is needed in crafting all types of armors if I’m not mistaken. There is just too many uses for it.
Best idea since reward tracks.
There is also a free bonus that comes with playing druid – everyone will hate you straight away.
You can make aura work by going out of a keep’s aura range and going back in. It usually works.
Just go druid, and tell your friend to go druid as well, and cheese the kitten out of everyone. You will be unstoppable in pair as well as solo.
Happened to me in Deser Borderlands, Air Keep, when Presence of the Keep finally decided to pop up. By the way, the buff is still missing when you waypoint into the keep. Anyway, I can build an arrow cart in one go. Or a guild cata…
Update: with 30 supplies you can’t pick up more, with 20 it goes back to 40. Apparently Presence of the Keep is even more broken now, same thing happens in Garrison and Fire keep.
Update2: apparently it doesn’t work for some people.

With current Ring of Fire hype, an idea came to my mind. Step aside, golemancers – make way for Gasomancer.
After visiting Fire Island, group of engineers took a closer look at gasses. Combining gadgets and ways of alchemy they learned how to control gasses and improve with them current technology. – yup, elite spec lore. Can be done, easly.
I’m not gonna to describe each trait and skill individually, I’d like to see other giving some suggestions as well.
New weapon would be a sword. It can pair very nicely with both shield and oh pistol (as second one benefits from close range combat). Class mechanic gave me a small head-ache. As nobody really wants F6 (we already have enough clicking to do, thank you) I decided, unique specialization mechanic will be bound to new elite skill – the Miniaturized Compressing Packet – an elite gadget. This would fill the elite skills with missing skill type, plus safe us from stretching our fingers beyond believe.
Upon choosing MCP as our elite skill, a bar above tool bar would appear, representing amount of compressed gas we are holding. Certain skills would benefit from this gas, using some % of it, there even could be implemented skills with effects based on how long we charge them. When the gas container is empty, we would need to use MCP to fill it back up. This would root us in place for a couple of seconds. If the bar is not empty yet, we could use MCP to empty it instantaneously and get certain effect, like AoE blind, kockback or something like that. Upon emptying the skill would change to “Fill MCP”.
I am not sure what to do with utility skills, I would like to see no unique skill type, but one new skill for each skill type already existing (excluding Gyro, ofc), but then healing skill would be problematic, as all types already exist there. Anyway, both sword and new skill would provide us with a lot of mobility to run away in case we want to fill our gas again. I’m thinking about Gas Turret giving AoE blindness, after deploying it could be overcharged with “gas explosion”, blinding and burning foes, and each second we hold the button making the AoE bigger or lasting longer. Or both.
Traits should benefit both power and condi aspects, to let us choose between both off hand weapons. At least one trait should be doing something to gas usage, like reducing gas usage for skills that use it, or make the container bigger. Another trait would give us couple second of stealth when filling our gas up, or stability. I would like to see a trait affecting our elixirs, like making toss elixir AoE bigger, harming enemies and ripping a boon of them.
I’m very sorry if there’s a typo, or my ideas aren’t really clear, I will read it again in the morning and try to make it clearer if it’s so bad.
Opinions? Ideas?
If I kill someone that did some nasty stuff, like corpse jumping etc, I usually just pull up my SAB Radio, /sit by the corpse and play music.
Carry around stacks of candy corn.
Once victory is achieved, spam it until your character throws up in detest of their cheese builds or cheese tactics.
Oh god, that’s so nasty.
Oh yea, Earth Keep. Forgot about him. He’s alright.
The other thing is the grills really made fighting fire keep lord a lot more managable. Well, arguably the entire keep.Though you do lose the comedy of knocking people into lava.
I really miss that lava pool, pulling/pushing people into it was really entertaining. I wish they haven’t covered all of it, but well, at least the boss is easier to fight with.
All reasons aside, I think I remember somewhere someone from ANet saying before HoT came out that Elite Specialisations are not going to be an upgrade, was that really a thing?
+1 for toning down. Some abilities and mechanics are just ridiculous at the moment.
When you blast poison field (Mortar 2) it gives AoE weakness, which damages break bars as well.
I’ve been getting 3,7k – 4,2k hits from revanent hammer autoattack, just a few moments ago (not to mention 11k CoR). ANet, please.
I stil use healing turret almost exclusively….i use rifle turret on my static discharge build….i use supply depot when i use power builds…net turret has been used for cc in raids…..turrets are not dead, you just cant camp in pvp with s2pid turrets and expect to win games cuz thats just not right, happy it was nerfed.
Too many bandwagonners used it in pvp to win games back then it was so messed up.
Turrets have few very sophisticated uses, healing turret aside, and rifle turret is being used for its tool belt skill. What we would like to see is turrets becoming more universal type of skill, which will be extremely hard to archive for ANet due to vulnerability and stationary nature of turrets.
With power creep that is happening these days taking pistol over shield is a muss anyway… Unless ANet is going to completly rework shield, next to reducing cooldowns they need to give us an one-handed power weapon to pair with it.
For rifle, first thing I’d suggest is give it evade on Jump Shot to somehow match it to the 3-seconds-evade hammer skill, also make autoattack’s damage higher (or shoot faster, so we have a machine gun when quickness is present ) to compensate lack of purely defence abilities.
dueling is always done in same spot it either on vista island or behind south camp.
Worst part, not all people keep to this rule, I got yelled at two or three times after interrupting what turned out to be a duel, between Bay and Garrison. In home border.
Another story, I was struggling with a very good herald (again, near home garri), an ally was standing and watching me slowly losing, I threw Elixir S and asked if he can help me, I got an answer ’it’s a duel’.
(edited by Samug.6512)
You can hate me or not, I don’t care whether it’s a duel or not. In 1v1 cases I always assume my ally is getting ganked and needs help. If you want to duel, get out of public space, there’s plenty of space out of public use, not to mention Obsidian Sanctum arena.
ArenaNet needs public test realms for this game. It’s really obvious that the things going into GW2 for at least WvW aren’t being tested by the right numbers of people, and several websites have shown that it’s only developers who are testing what gets released. Tons of garbage has been added to WvW that makes the fights so totally lopsided its unreal.
Most obvious is the insane amount of lag in big fights in WvW. I recently upgraded my internet from 12mbps to 45mbps and the fps after 4 years of this is STILL dropping to 1-3 fps. There is absolutely no excuse for this, and daily I’m seeing people give up and quit playing because that is their endgame and it has become too much to bear. There are other good quality free games out there that take care of their customer/players and those leaving know that. I think after this last quarter earnings ArenaNet should be getting their act together to keep regular players in game rather than being cheap and letting them go.
FPS depends on your hardware, does it not?…

Only thing that matters in wvw roaming is mobility/disengage and damage. Mesmer, Elementalist, Thief, Warriors all have it and still do, for years. Well except elementalist now, cause their kit went to more support instead. Who needs cc when you can blow up people instead, while the druid still needs long drawn out fights.
You forgot damage sponges – evades, blocks, absorbs, damage-to-healing skills, and passive regen.
I’d love to see better rewards for 1st/2nd/3rd place other than a few chests with two blues and one green, which are forgotten after 5 minutes anyway.
The problem with druid is, they made him a healing class. So even if a druid player sacrifices defence for bigger damage output, they can still heal, because that’s what druid was designed for. Heal a lot. And even more.
I stopped using tool kit after I realised most pulls, if successful, end up with lag-like effect of my enemy and pulling him only half way towards me.
Also, yea. If there is a small bump in the terrain between you and targeted enemy, they are likely to get catapulted into the air. Also with lag-like effect, so you have no clue where the enemy is going to appear (as the ‘catapult’ is often fake, client-side effect).
Since my last topic about smoke bomb from Autodefense Bomb Dispenser trait was responded with positive, silent answer from devs contained in patch notes, I’ll point out one more ‘bug’.
Elixir S from Self-Regulating Defenses isn’t affected by any elixir-related trait (Alchemical Tinctures and HGH – doesn’t remove condition, doesn’t give mights, lasts 3 seconds) and doesn’t break stun.
Also. Remove confusion and stun break when “final blow” is received.
So:
-shield rework,
-one handed power weapon (mace?) to pair with shield,
-more ways to mitigate damage (I’m talking about vanilla engi),
-rifle buff,
-gadgets rework,
-proper med kit.

Scrapper’s reflective boubble and projectile protective boubble on Catapults in WvW are not accurate – the actual effect ends about 1 second after the animation ends. It’s SO kitten ANNOYING to throw a siege disabler just after the boubble disappears just to see an animation of destroyed projectile appearing in thin air. Exacly the same thing is with scrappers, only more annoying, because the projectile is reflected back to you. GG.
2. Gadgets and Gadgeteer
Gadgets need to be buffed. They take up a slot and for skills with one or two uses with low synergy over “kits” they need to provide more utility than what they currently do. The Gadgeteer trait is simply not enough to invoke create uses of Gadgets. I see Gadgets as more-or-less a way to provide utility where the Engineer lacks. An engineer would make a gadget to assist them in things they could not normally do. With this in mind, how could we make gadgets unique and/or improve their utility?I think Gadgets need a unified mechanic similar to “explosions” above or maybe give them a similar mechanic with boons like Alchemy? Perhaps Gadgeteer should be “Gain boons for each Gadget Equipped (Might for Rocket Boots, etc) .” “Boon duration is increased for each Gadget Equipped (+2 seconds).”
-Padre
I really like the idea of gadgets being ‘equipped’ – Utility Goggles already works this way. AED could be changed to last longer and grant immunity to damaging conditions, Rocket Boots could last 10s, give Superspeed and leave burning trial behind – something like Slick Shoes, Mine would need total rework, but I really like the concept.
Rifle needs buffs, with current projectile-hate meta it should have some unblockable skills and evasion on jump shot would be a fair addition (being immobilized while flying to the targeted area means you are totally disabled, can’t even Elixir S from this…)
Shield is at the moment completely useless, with so long cooldowns it doesn’t provide enough defense and equipping it means dropping second pistol, so you will never output enough damage to matter. I would love to see one handed power weapon to go with shield (maybe mace, ANet? Please?)
I never really played with turrets, but maybe giving them PBAoE would work somehow?
Or they could just make the projectile always home towards the enemy. Currently if you use a skill like Surprise Shot, the projectile will target the enemy. But if you use a ground targeted skill like Grenade Barrage, the projectile will fire towards the place you are looking at with your camera, and it will most likely miss your actual target.
Changing SD to PBAoE would kill what’s left from rifle, but they should totally change the trait how Josa said. This behaviour is probably one of the weirdest skill behaviour among all classes…
In past few weeks (yes, before patch too) I noticed sometimes, rarely, even though I throw Elixir S under my feet, I don’t get stealth. It happened twice today, when enemy was on top of me. I am pretty sure it is not a case of me missing AoE circle (I play engi for 3 years now, I’m pretty experienced with this stuff). I don’t get reveal too, Throw Elixir S goes on full recharge, so it’s not interrupted. I’m not sure about other Throw Elixir skills, Elixir S’ effect (or lack of it) is just the most visible. Is it only me, or is there anyone else noticing similar issues? I’m thinking, maybe it’s a case of the elixir bottle being a projectile and being somehow blocked/absorbed/reflected?

Notes
For the purposes of triggering the bonus damage (#6), the game considers summoned NPCs to be companions; this includes minions, and those produced by sigils (e.g. Sigil of Demon Summoning) or various consumables.
If minions count, my guess would be yes. But this is ArenaNet we are talking about, consistency isn’t their strong trait.
I’m trying to run celestial stats with rifle in WvW roaming, but sadly rifle doesn’t give enough damage mitigation.
Gadgets need overhaul. Most of them need cooldown reduction, including AED. I’d like to see something you suggested, Gadgeteer trait making gadget skills more powerful (longer jump on Rocket Boots, insta-cast AED, bigger crit chance with Goggles, PBR damage boost etc).
And, since most of Elixir Gun skills are effected by Elixir-related triats, maybe we could get gadgets on other kits? Tool Kit’s gear shield would be a gadget, traited with Gadgeteer would give us invulnerability instead of block, or grant 5x Stabilites on use? Bigger range on Magnet? Pry Bar causing Confusion AND Weakness?
Edit: if it would actually take place, to make some kit skills gadgets, if would be logical to make turret-related kit as well. I saw a Medkit change suggestion, so skill would be turret-like stationary machines that pulse a boon every x seconds…
(edited by Samug.6512)
We would really use another one handed weapon with power stats, shield is useless now because pistol mainhand can’t do much direct damage, and shield is purely defensive at the moment; mh pistol alone can be outhealed pretty easly.
Rifle is in a weird place, hardly usefull in ranged since Hip Shot doesn’t give big damage.
Only one ability for close combat, which has decent damage, but only in meele range.
One ability to kinda defend from meele classes, but knockback isn’t big AND we’r getting CCd too.
One gap closer which can be interrupted, and prey you don’t get immobilized in the duration of jump, because you are locked in mid-air and can’t do anything.
And Net Shot of course. Slow projectile, blockable, reflectable, evaded by moving, even enemies running in straight line will be missed.
Unblockable, oh god yes please make it happen. Amount of blocks, evades and reflections that currently exist just makes me want to quit the game.
Apparently smoke bomb from autodefense bomb dispenser trait isn’t a smoke field, and yet is has almost identical funcionality as smoke bomb from bomb kit. Is that intended?
Instead of Chilling Fog, just for April 1st get an…
Elixir X sprinklers tactivator
All players in the structure’s area are effected by Elixir X. All enemy players turn into Moa (or tuna fish if underwater), and all allies take form of powerfull Tornado (or plague form underwater).
How about, making glass panels shatter only from blast finishers and the cannon? Or only by jumping on them from high places?
I really don’t like the word “follower”, it stinks to me with GW1 hero system, which totally ruined the game, because there was no need to play with other people at all.
When Portal Entre used, the little status icon should pop up, just as when you use Portal Exeunt. Also, a range indicator would be amazing, just a red bar on the bottom of skill icon.
Stomping with Phase Retreat + Blink is easier.
