Anyway in an other thread they said that stacking FGS’s fire field is not an exploit since it is “intended by design”. So… what is intended by design and what is not? I guess we have no way to know until they post about it.

Here’s the thing. There are many actions (both in-game and on the forums) that the devs consider illegal, but they will not tell you about it. Yes you read me right. In the agreements that everybody checked and read they mention that they can terminate your account for what ever reasons they see fit, without having to disclose them.

Boom, that’s the power of law my friends! Or is it the spirit of the law ? Ah, I’m confused again. Hopefully Danicia can clear this up for us: she’s our moderagod after all.

Luckily the developed states in which we live generally have a less interpretative approach to the law than Anet. This is why if say your name was something like Dalon and you were to get banned for a reason not mentioned anywhere then you should be able to ask for a refund. Or make a big mess publicly. Just saying.

In theory you should know what is an exploit and what is not. But in practice you can not. The reason for this is that Anet does not know either. Anet’s opinons are usually as enduring as living world content and they have profaned everything they wrote in their manifesto.

Note to mods: I am just stating the facts; please do not interpret anything I wrote as an insult to Anet’s staff. Edit: I am genuinely puzzled!

I’m always surprised by the people just barging into the dungeon forums for the first time and calling us bad…. Anyhow, we play how we want and expect not to be attacked because of it. If the OPs intention was really just to ask when it will be fixed, he would nothave felt the need to continue this thread, as it was answered ages ago. the devs are on our side today(I know, surprising, right?), respect their decision and leave it at that please.

This time soloing cliffside on lvl 20. This project actually took me quite a while to finish up, even if it doesn’t look amazingly tough. Im sorry about the final seal hit being a bit sloppy, quite frankly I just messed up there.

They cost about 1g each, and @magicslurpees, you can see me switching traits after doing the first steal, this is to change it to a 1500 range steal instead, which I didnt need anymore. However, in a normal situation this would get you 2 steal usages, making the RNG a bit better

A while back, I actually tried for a long while to get a triple wisp solo on mes, but couldn’t pull it off. Was thinking of other ways, including Shadow Trap/Portal, but figured it’d be close but not possible. Forgot that Shadow Trap’s cooldown is when you lay it not when you use it -.-.

Oh forgot to note, mes solo may be possible as well then. Maybe I’ll make an attempt.
Watchwork portal the one you went for first, drop normal portal, take port back.
Get to the third one and pick it up to bring to the second one. lay the portal, slot it in, take portal back, pick up the wisp, take portal again, slot that one in.

I haven’t tried it yet, though I’ve got some watchworks left. I think though, that it’s not likely possible. Portals don’t reach all the way to the end of the fractal. So you have to walk away from them first to drop it. That combined with the lesser mobility on mes and the fact that portals have a small cooldown time between uses, makes me think it will be either 1 or 0 seconds left.

Also as for the shadowtrap, you’re aware that I’m using the improv trait to recharge it , right?

I know its not that impressive at all, but I just had to do a video soloing all wisps, enjoy the music, look at the first minute or so and click away, or stick around for another silly bloomhunger kill which you can see by the hits Im taking would likely not be any harder at higher levels.

For EU Mentors, I think of letting Sandy to be in charge. As long as the group has at least 1 experienced mentor and 1 student, any trial group can be run.

While Im flattered that you’d consider me, Im afraid that Im going to have to decline. Im personally handling both thief and mesmer trials in rT, as well as global management, and seem to be getting plenty mentees myself. If I had to spend time trialing within the mentoring guild as well, there would be no time left for me. Right now I’d like to focus on getting some videos up again, as my last solo was over a month ago .__.

Don’t expect anything noteworth of me, as I had some delay (~0.2 seconds until my action appears ingame, ~0.5 seconds until the server responds) it wasn’t even an easy task to close up on running. Not to mention that arcane shield at hunter/crusher that the game did not want to execute.

Interestingly, I made another speedtest to Dallas (server hosted by Skysmth) and got the result of 67ms ping, 44mbit/s download and 3.02mbit/s upload, which is horrible for me, but yet is in no relation to gw2 servers. Pingtest to Francfurt was 14ms ping with 80mbit/s download and 5.88mbit/s upload. So that can’t be it either.

Whether or not you submitted it isn’t relevant. What’s relevant is that you’ve claimed it as the world record, using rules that weren’t agreed on by the guilds at the record meeting.

GWSCR didn’t make up rules only for GWSCR. The guild wars 2 high-end guilds made up the rules that they wanted to use for records of every sort, and GWSCR published them, and provided a place to share them. When you claim a world record, you’re expected to follow the rules that we as a community agreed on, not what ‘gwscr tells you to’.

What will you do when someone who didn’t agree on the rules claims a record?

Personally, I prefer the timer method used in this kill, but others didn’t agree as much. They preferred: Boss kill timers start as soon as the boss is aggro’d to you and/or moves/starts an attack animation, and ends when the boss is dead.

Obviously, we have the ability to change the rule, if people wish to see it that way. I guess we could also just make two boss kill rules… >_>

Them being good doesn’t take anything away from you. Hell, in proud of myself for recently surviving my first full melee encounter with lupi— this was a personal goal of mine for a long time.

Sub minute kills are not ever going to be part of the meta— they’re just a demonstration of the best possible, most optimized effort.

There are also 21s kill without FGS. Although sometimes if you are lucky you can get a phase 3 skip in a casual gamesun.

Anyone do it on mes? Seems tricky due to low DPS, but then you are invincible (and can use your phants on those mobs) so maybe.

I imagine if you wanted to be quick about it on warr then you could just aggro the first additional spawn into the bubble and ignore them while you finish her off, since the time it takes her to spawn more would probably be enough to get the rest of her HP down.

Just wanted to note that since it was said “more interesting for groups”, gotta disagree, in a group setting you should be able to burn her faster than the mobs can kill the terminal.

While I haven’t completely soloed it, I think I can speak as such because of my duo partner’s tragic early death.

The mesmer has no particular problem with soloing this, and for several reasons:
Phantasms distract technicians, invulnerability keeps scholar bonus up, as long as you don’t let risen silver’s near the console they won’t wreck it.

The order or strategy is fairly simple, get 3 mantras, one being the stability one, and perhaps blink as a final skill. Take s/s s/f. Pull risen berserkers from the console with curtain and make sure they agro on you by hitting them. Don’t get near technicians untill they start attacking grubs. Then dispose of the low hp deadeyes first. After that, go take out the berserkers. As berserkers have been killed, move to the techs, if they lose grubagro, hide behind the rock and spawn some swordsmen. One of your phantasms will then act as an absolute tank, but make sure to spawn more for maximum tankness, this, combined with the phantasmal regen from your inspiration traits will ensure you a pretty much permanent meatshield. Kill techs off, dance around and die to brie from lost focus due to enthousuasm.

If the techs do end up attacking you at some point, try moving to the other side if the wall as blub cleverly came up with, note that you can get out of stun though the use of distortion, blink, stability mantra of a temporal curtain pull rupting the techs

Oh oh and don’t forget untraited wardens block deadeye shots.

I think warden reflects are boosted by Empowered Illusions and Phantasmal Strength but not by player-based % bonuses — those only affect player-cast reflections; Feedback, Temporal Curtain, etc.
