While I am not really a part of the mesmer forum community, I would like to suggest some things. First off, there is not a LOT you can do about interference, though in 5 man groups the only thing that could possibly worry you is the guardian’s flames, decrease these by putting post processing on ‘none’. With recent updates the effects shouldnt be too bad, aside from that, try to focus on specific bodyparts instead of the whole creature, e.g. focus on the imbued grawl’s bow, not his face, that’d be rude.

As for training, I would say it is a great idea to try out a very good friend of mine, Legendary archdiviner.
Pick out a fractal level you feel comfortable with, reroll a couple of times and fight the initial archdiviner, with his obvious yet punishing attacks you can train to be focussed on fights and make less mistakes, as well as managing and placing illusions. If melee is first uncomfortable, try to go from range to melee in time. Group play should, be discovered with experimenting in guildgroups and such, or maybe watch some videos.

Phase 2 was a bit unlucky, though. Better use warden+curtain before feedback. Saves easily 20 seconds.

well no this was intended, with the vulnerability stacking I would averagely bring him JUST into phase 3 when the second attack is a feedback
so instead, I used slightly worse feedback+warden as a start, so I could get a killer feedback and push him right into low health p3. because of the smash the final feedback was a bit dissapointing, but worked nontheless.

Finally passing the 5 minute barrier on mesmer, I likely won’t be trying to beat the warrior record, as there are so many warriors, it will be beaten again soon anyways. Nontheless, Im sure it is possible.

‘Best’ is pretty relative, if you want easiest, you need warrior.

Expecting you to be running a build with atleast ten in domination and 30 in fueling, its not really hard. And should work with asassins as well as berserkers.
Get the empowering mantras trait plus 4 mantras, deceptive evasion and blade training in dueling. Switch empowered illusions to 20% mind wreck damage. Use S/S. Go in, spawn a phantasm to start, use sword 3, dodge twice, mind wreck, use illusionary riposte when you see the laser incoming, rest auto attack, dodging and shattering when on full endurance(spawn an illusion up front for more damage ofc). and blurred frenzy when you feel like it.

Being good covers so much more than just being able to dodge.
I’ll take a duo arah path 2 run of a mesmer and a warrior.
What the mesmer has to take care of:
-proper use of staff 2 to increase movement
-using warden on one of the two defilers at the end of the tunnel
-switching to signet of inspiration instead of nullfield
-teleport to wp, not getting into combat
-proper use of phase retreat
-proper use of sword 4, 5, warden and signet of inspiration
-phase retreat + invuln shatter to get into los spot quick
-standing so close that he doesn’t rapidfire else
-don’t cause bubbles/unintended movement.

Eww, staff, why wardens instead of stealth, what the hell is sword 4,5? Eww signet of inspiration, Eww more staff, and eww making lupi boring on purpose. guess I’d rather be a bad player. And nobody matches these criteria XD not even you do, better not be using this for your trial runs.

Im pretty sure it doesnt matter, there is no direct hit splash that can be detected, as far as I know, therefore I presume its a percentage of hp which is decreased, next to that, the skill you’re using doesnt have a damage skill factor, making the usual calculation(power*something critdamage*magicalAnetthings*11herbsandspices*skill fact) unusable

killing tentacles also hurts the maw, but it wouldnt make any sense if it mattered in which gear you killed a tentacle, as the maw loses 1 tentacle either way.

They are uninteresting. Dodge-athons, bang-on-meatbag-athons, down-athons, revive-athons. During the period I did them they were also glitch-athons, bug-athons, avoid-athons.

Why am I even bothering to post?

Anet just doesn’t seem to get it. When I ran the instances and those peeps who would reply when I asked why they did them would say “They are fun!” and I would ask “fun exactly how?” pointing out the dodge-athons, bang-on-meatbag-athons, and they would inveritably reply “cause I run past X” “cause I glitch out Y” “cause I bug out Z”.

Yeah. Leaving this post so perhaps the future dungeon design team at least reads it. While I am no WoW fan, the dungeons were far more entertaining (aside from Occulus).

I studied your videos religiously, but I could never do phase 1 consistently. Probably 80% of my deaths were in phase 1. IF I got past it, 2 and 3 were cake, but that was a huge IF, which made it too kittening frustrating.

I think its safe to say that for the mesmer, P1 IS the solo, its what 95% of the questions I get are about.

+1, works and also has for months, mossmans axes are ground targete though, so you really need to make sure nothing is in the way and the Target is completely immobile

@OP it was changed along with the treb shot patch (treb shots are unblockable/reflectable too; but they used to be deflectable -swirling winds)

Just did Korga and he got stuck in a pillar and then reset at like 15% hp so disappointing. I had never fought him before but he is really just a kite fest I wouldn’t say he is t2 challenge wise.

you need some serious determination to not get bored to death during the fight though xD

its true the 10% doesnt apply to illusions, but as long as you keep using autoattack and reflection the scholar rune is still best. Right now Ranger is actually a little better most of the time, but that’s because its bugged, so I refrain from using it personally. As far as sigils go, I’d say battle is the better choice for a phantasm mesmer.

I actually help out puggroups plenty when they’re willing to listen, which they often are(yay EU servers?). Giving incentives such as money would destroy the whole idea and people wouldn’t actually end up helping anyone. You can’t change the communities motivations, and surprisingly there are quite some experienced(not lfg experienced) people who are willing to help, but you won’t get them here, and definitely not if people aren’t going to learn that the term ‘elitist’ is practically an insult.
