Honestly this thread would be incredibly entertaining if it wasn’t so pathetically sad… If the player in question wasn’t one of the best ‘known’ guardians around, I might be able to understand the entirely immeasurable kitten, but just wow…

It’s incredibly disappointing seeing good players get so bent out of shape over some superficial nonsense…

Nice interview btw though. If you can get Teldo, Ostrich, or Super in there next, that’d be pretty cool.

That’s it.

If you’re going to be big on hosting, it’s good to get peoples attention w/ a catchy Subject Title… but you also need to be aware of the context and actual reaction you want to get.

Look at things from all angles.. Understand the words you use.

If you meant it to be singular… as in ~he is the best, undisputed~, then you need to back it up w/in the content of your posts.

Otherwise, use choice words to still be ‘catchy’, but always… always always always… ~HEDGE YOUR BET~.

I think its alright now isnt it? because well i can say with 100% that he is a top guardian which doesnt mean he is the best now

I am curious what role he plays on the team, he is a bunker? You just sit on a node and defend and ask teammates for help?

Or do I go to mid and help team out?

you actually try to hold mid and sometimes help on sidenotes if there are 3 vs 3s or 4 vs 4s but then dont forget to tell smbdy of your team to bunker mid for the time you are at the sidenode

so i have read all your posts and i didnt intend to offend u i cant even really believe that you feel like you must suck only because it was written there that he is a top guard…and seriously nobody can deny that he is one of the best guardians ingame he has been playing in the top 10 lb for over 3 months now and has won several tournaments with his team….i agree that the team wins and not the single person itself…but after thinking a bit…if you are in a top 10 lb team what kind of guard would you take? of course one of the best…thats why i wrote top guard now

I think you might be having a wrong idea here. It is a PvP build. Not PvE. Interrupts aren’t that great in PvE, especially against bosses since many are immun to it.

When constantly swapping weapons, you should be able to maintain 9 stacks of might which will require 3 weapon swaps (20s might duration on swap +50% duration).

i guess 875 power for 25 stack is around 25% damage boost? or is it more?

yes its not pve build, i just try to compare the applying of vulnerability with might stacks and therefor the runesetup for my armor (max boon duration or not).

you also get 25 vuln stacks easily on your target because of the interrupts… so you have an average of 15 might stacks on you plus 25 vuln stacks on the enemy..which is huge!

also you dont get the random boon from bountiful interruption which is also nice to share with your team

Just tested it all day with several weaponsets and some minor changes.
S/S + GS, S/S + Staff, S/P + Staff, even Staff + GS.

After a while you get the “flow” and stacking might is easy. It’s a really nice build, the only problem I see (or should I say don’t see?) is that there are no real advantages compared to 20/20/0/0/30 (with halting strike). Overall damage is about the same, only difference is that with 30 in Illusions and Illusionary Persona you can burst much more often. Using sigills of battle, runes of hoelbrak and shattered strength combined with Illusionary Elasticity and greatsword, you’ll also get many mightstacks without relying on interrupts and having “slower” shatter bursts.

I won’t say it isn’t viable, because it definately is at some point. It’s just that standard shatter (+halting strike) is so much faster with 30% reduced shatter CDs. Plus, with some mightstacks and IP + HS, the damage is probably still slightly better. Somebody should do the maths here.

The main problem is that you dont have the 30% boon duration which is essential for this build…also i think the biggest problem is that you dont have bountiful interruption which gives you 5 mights stacks for like 13 seconds which is HUGE! imagine u interrupt two enemies with gs would be 10 might stacks for 13 seconds…therefore you can keep up the might stacks way easier than with 20 20 0 0 30

yea haha i have to admit that when i first played the build i also forgot that quite often
but yea first time that i am actually feeling usefull for my team as a mesmer which is awesome
and i am really glad u enjoy this build as well!

yea knote but you cant stand still because you get 100 more dmg a second because of one condi..nobody would do that i would make torment deal less dmg every second but more damage when standing still so you can coordinate it perfectly…mesmer can apply torment and then immoblise warris can too and necros as well so it would be nice over all

So guys i have been playing in this condition meta for quite a long time now and there is one thing i realized..the way torment works is just wrong:

Why?:
- u have to move around all the time in this game so why would you be punished for it?
- necro’s ds #5 skill immobilises ..so here is the question: if it does damage when the enemy moves why would you want to have an immobilise there?
- atm torment is like a stronger bleeding stack and another condition that will be cleansed instead of bleeding because everybody has to move

Suggestion:
- change torment: the target gets x dmg every second and + x dmg every second the target is standing still
So why do this?:
- In this game you should be punished for standing still all the time and just spamming your skills like i see some classes doing
- Also if it is changed like that people can set up combos like “i got torment on him immoblise him! awesome!”
