I just noticed that this issue mostly affects dodging the enemy’s melee attack. I’ve been doing a lot of CoE EM lately and was able to dodge most of subject alpha AOE attack without any problem, although sometimes the bug still occurs but rarely. This bug is more noticeable while fighting melee mob like risen abomination or ettin.
I ran that path with Pug before and we did it with only one wipe. Heck even my gear was only rare back then.
The recipes for the armor can be bought with karma from a heart vendor at diessa plateau, but the pauldron recipe is missing and can’t be found at any other vendor at nearby area. It’s a level 17 armor so it should not be sold from a heart vendor at high level area.
Just made a new character recently and the shoulder armor from warrior starter item clip significantly.
I’m using shortest and widest male norn body.
Just finished my full set of exotic recently. Combination of few dungeon and cultural armors.
yea the problem is they keep spawning… idm if there are tons of them as long they don’t respawn.
You could just skip those mobs in the area though. but this means the design is really bad makes people don’t want to fight those mobs on that kind of area where there are tons of volatile blossom that can respawn once they are destroyed which is just stupid.
Grimward (Shield) has clipping issue with guardian aegis cosmetic effect.
I can’t click or target any NPC beside using tab, restarting the game somewhat fix it but it will be like that again after playing for a while.
The “My Story” tab at hero panel shows nothing when I scroll it down.
When I killed the eye of zhaitan while it’s not at the center of the map (after it teleports from the center) before it could teleport back to its initial place, the cutscene will not play making the quest stuck there.
Nope they are not. Infact they have nerfed CoF and CoE recently, I suppose it’s just your group being bad.

It’s fair because you already got 60 tokens on that run before. Anet already clearly stated that only the first run on a path will gets 60 tokens while the rest only gets 20 tokens so it’s your choice whether you want to do the same path to get only 20 tokens or wait until the next day to get 60 tokens on the same path again.
He is one of the most enjoyable boss to fight imo.
It shows 12/6 instead 6/6, but the effect still applies normally despite the wrong display.
But see Sentinel, what you are saying is that you rarely use some stuff, apparently because of the CD. So doesn’t that suggest that the skill needs a fix? Otherwise it is just
toolbar clutter.
I use all my skills, yep all including my secondary weapons as well and I’m not having problem using my skills properly. If you know WoW you can say what a real toolbar cluster is, GW2 skills system is one of the simplest in mmorpg. So if you can’t use properly I can’t say anything much rather then tell you to practice on how to use them because I’m having no problem running dungeon with my guardian at all.
Hey Sentinel, I appreciate what you are saying and I’m not trying to act as
a full tank or healer – but the CD’s on the abilities I mentioned seem silly.
You have to use your skills on the right time to avoid having the cooldown when they are needed. There are some traits that can reduce the cooldown on certain skills like shout, meditation, etc for 20% which is quite nice imo. If you use your virtue a lot, you might want to spend your trait points on “Virtues” which reduce the cooldown. Heck even I rarely use virtue of resolve or virtue of courage, I usually only use virtue of justice because it has a really quick cooldown time.
Inquest mega blaster(CoE Story) is ridiculous. They can almost one hit kill you with a single shot if you are trying to melee them because you can’t see the projectile coming if you are too close, even the projectile follow you around making dodging becomes useless.
Legendary Searing Effigy is too easy. It doesn’t even have an attack that can hit you really hard.
Everyone is responsible for themself. I’m a guardian and I’m not trying to tank mobs at dungeon, why? because they hit really hard compare to mobs on PVE world. You are not supposed to become a full dedicated healer because it will never work. Although I’m still helping people if they are down(not dead) but I also have to look for myself trying not to get killed. I’ve done several explorable mode at CoF, HoTW, and CoE. I’ve done dungeon only with pugs and we always finished the dungeon with no or few wipes only.
What I see here you are trying to keep everyone alive and tanking instead looking for yourself, which is definitely a wrong playstyle. This is not WoW so don’t expect the trinity will work here.
CoF path 1 and 2 are way too easy.
HoTW path 1 is really easy, although the rest are quite easy easy well.
CoE only path 1 is the easiest because you can melee the boss easily.
At least gives him a delay/signal so we can dodge it not rely on luck that you are not the unlucky one to get imprisoned. Sometimes people just ignore me while being imprisoned and getting killed because he spam tons of AOE right on me while can’t move which downed me instantly. Other then that he’s one of the most fun and challenging boss out there although path 1 is too easy somehow…

Yea I also got the same bug.
The effect still work functionally as 4 runes but the display kinda messed up.
I was able to do it with a random group yesterday. All you need is a good communication between each party member.
This bug has been extensively reported in the past. Aseyhe has even posted a video in Dodge roll “randomly” fails [video included], I think the issue is well documented.
Yes I’ve seen that thread before but this bug has not been fixed for that long.
Primarily for dungeon run, but will also do WvWvW or sPvP.
Main character is a lv80 guardian and have 7 other characters with different profession each with a lv 47 thief the second highest.
I agree with with Sentinel, I pretty much retired my thief until this bug gets fixed. I just wonder why many people don’t seem to be affected by this bug as dodge rolls work normally for them, yet I have this problem with all my melee classes. Is it tied to specific keybinds or game settings? On my thief, dodge rolls fail around 33% of the time, often twice in a row. It’s beyond annoying.
TBH I hardly see people use dodge effectively, most people tend to use range weapon against something like champion giant which can one-hit-kill you which why people might hardly notice it.
I only get it with the shortbow 3 ability (ranger), dodge rolls work fine
Because you are using range weapon. I get less rubber-banding dodging while using range weapon I can tell, although thief shortbow third skill also gets rubber-banding dodging as well.
I’m sure that this is true, however just giving the name, such as rubber band dodging, doesn’t help Anet in any way shape or form. You need to give them more information on the bug, what it does, how it activates, etc.
I use the term rubber banding dodging because it pulls me back to my initial place before dodging or sometimes even bounce me back and forward which makes it look like a rubber band effect. I might post a video about it later on though if the problem still persist.
This bug has not been fixed for weeks. I know some people may not experience this but I know a large number of people who are get affected by this as well. This makes dodging with melee combat like gambling because dodging might or might not work and the consequence could kill me in combat not because I’m not able to dodge properly but because the dodging doesn’t even work properly. This problem becoming really noticeable when playing as a thief where dodging is the only reliable thief defensive option unlike guardian which has tons of defensive skill like buff and blocking.
Some of the colour palette at sylvari customisation are just plain black although they have the right colour and colour text when you try to use it.
This is a minor bug that my main character ready his weapon without drawing it after logging in or going to the mist or portal while my other characters have their weapon sheathe when I log in with them.

Dungeons are better when they are fun. Fun is subjective but I am fairly certain that fun to most people is the ability to actually clear them without having to study, lose 5g on repairs, and lose the will to live.
Fun usually involves a challenge. That’s how grinds don’t become boring. People have played games like Contra and Super Mario for ages, when, essentially, they’re an never-changing dungeon. Why? Because they were challenging.
People replay NES games because everyone loves nostalgia. Also, if you think Super Mario Bros. is hard I think you lost all credit here.
A better comparison is “Dark Soul”.
It’s a hard game, but why people are still playing it? because it’s fun and challenging not boring and challenging.It is a better comparison but it’s also a different genre. Dark Souls keeps you playing because you want to see how the story will progress, to see what cool loot is around the next corner, to always be wondering where the next secret will be, to fight the next friggen amazing boss, etc. Guild Wars 2 challenge would be about holding back people as long as possible from obtaining dungeon gear. You run 1 to 3 paths over and over where no change will ever occur, and honestly, it is more like 1 path… maybe 2 with the changes, I have yet to test.
I’m talking about the difficulty part so you can ignore the genre. The only problem here is how they execute a fun and challenging game. While explorable dungeon reward you with token that you can use to buy armor, the amount of time required to complete and the difficulty of some paths in explorable dungeon are non-sense. Why do you think people are doing speed run on a same path at CoF? because they find it the easiest and fastest one to do not because it’s fun beside there are tons of way to exploit the bugs in it. After Anet implemented DR system people are now “forced” to do all the dungeon path if you want to get full reward. I don’t mind this system as long all paths are balanced out in difficulty and amount of time that is needed to complete it. The problem is some dungeon paths are easier and faster than the other and some of them are more boring as well. I’m only hoping they can balance all the paths so they are equally enjoyable and fun to do not dumbing down the difficulty because people whining about it.

Those elitists keep saying explorable dungeon are easy to them. The fact that Anet balancing the difficulty because majority of player feel that they are too hard or imbalance. I still have faith in them to balance this dungeon issue while not dumbing down the difficulty too much. We can only wait and see in months from now on how they manage to balance things out.
The point is that very, very few people have actually tried all the dungeons out. Many people also are running these with level 70 greens/blues. You shouldn’t be even remotely capable of doing this w/o at least level 80 greens imo (which are like 20 silver come on).
If armor stats contributed much to dungeon run this is definitely wrong. This means rich people with the best armor like exotic that you can buy from TP will run the dungeon more easily than poor people with blue/green armor. I think they should balance the stats like they do in sPVP. This will makes people stop complaining that they have underlevel armor or getting wiped because of poor stats armor while still having repair bill to avoid people to zerging too much without thinking. So it will all depends on your skill not armor.
There is VERY little difference between exotic gear and green gear at level 80. I have a friend that bought a full level 80 green set for his warrior for 2 gold and is doing fine in dungeons. That’s NOTHING at level 80. Level 80 exotic gear gives you a small difference but not too noticeable.
There are literally people who can’t solo normal mobs in the dungeons (not even the silver ones. REGULAR MOBS). They are clearly heavily undergeared. This is stuff I could solo as a STAFF ELEMENTALIST even when I had a mixed bag’s worth of level 77+ gear (from blue to exotics). This was Arah too so they should have been wearing level-appropriate gear to begin with.
Last time I checked the stats difference between exotic and green armor set are quite huge. Exotic gear have almost 50% more armor rating than green gear. Those two system are what I actually really hate about this game. Why am I being punished for played a lot of DE at high level area where there is only DE all around at orr and no heart quest at all, this makes no sense to me. Anti-farm code is just plain useless and punish people who wants to get crafting material from drop to craft their equipment. End game should not be limited by something like these two which really punish player for playing high level content.
Mainly looking for doing dungeon run and PVE, but will do sPVP or WvWvW as well. Might not be able to play much until end of the year holiday.
The eye of zhaitan can’t be defeated it became invincible after I defeated it and stuck. The cutscene didn’t even play properly.
