I got my exotic on 7th run and I never experienced any DR from the chest except for less ToT reward.

Completely agree — I did not say otherwise. However there’s an underlying assumption that anyone can complete it. This achievement is unique to GW2 (to date) in that it also requires a low-latency connection (and to a lesser degree good gaming hardware).

Unfortunately it does if you’re an achievement hound. This applies to any achievement: Some players do not enjoy the dungeons, but they’ll be forced to do dungeons if they want achievement completion.

This particular achievement is a little different from many others because: (1) it’s around for a short time, (2) it’s effected by your server latency to a greater degree than the other achievements, (3) it’s not incrementally completed.

If you are a “real” achievement hunter then you should not complain about it unless the achievement is broken or no body can do it, instead you should keep trying until you can get the achievement.

I’ve seen people doing it 17 hours straight, at the end they were able to do it because of their hardwork and determination.

All hardwork will be paid off at the end sooner or later.

Since people are still getting it from the dungeon, the price could drop at any time.

I assume you really don’t know that people are getting exotic and halloween weapons including myself from the chest at that dungeon.

You can repeat the dungeon as MANY times you want and you can always open the chest at the end.

At least you did it with a low level toon which is quite impressive.

Get help from other people, there are tons of helpful people around you.

I got the book on my level 20 toon without any help, although I did die few times basically because mobs at bloodtide coast and sparkfly den can one hit kill you if your level is too low.

You can sneak pass through all those mobs without actually have to fight them.

What’s the different between a naked charr/norn and the one with clothes on? Their body size remain the same unless they are using distracting colour like bright pink for example.

Not ALL jumpers are complaining about this I can say.

While I didn’t have much difficulty with the puzzle, most of the Charr and Norn I’ve seen wear the most ridiculously large clothing that adds even more to their size. You’d be surprised how big of a difference there is between a naked character and one wearing one of the larger armors in the game.

This mostly applies for heavy armour user.

My charr uses a medium armour and it doesn’t really add up more to his size.

I hide my shoulder and headpiece though.

I know the medium armor my Sylvari thief wears makes her significantly larger (in fact, when I was still acclimating to the puzzle it helped me see my character better as the armor is so wide it stuck out of most norns, although charr would obscure me). There’s probably at least one skin for each armor type that has that behavior.

I agree that being alone doing the JP is way easier, but once you are more then halfway through the JP there are usually only 0-2 people left mostly so as long you can survive the first few parts it should gets easier.

I’m not struggling too much, its the last and final jump im talking about. Everytime ive gotten to it, and im still trying, i slam my face into the wall and slide down, rather then enter the clock tower like im supposed to.

I’ve done this on my necro, i know the jumps, i have it kitten near memorized where for every 1-4 fails, i get to the end.. and it keeps happening..

Try to jump earlier before the lightning struck the clock tower, you have to time your jump to make sure you get inside the shattered part of the clock somehow.

If it’s meant to reimburse people who opened lots of chests, then there should be a way to use all tonics, not just mystic ones, as they used to give lots and lots of tonics of any kind.

For example, 4 any tonics should give you 2 or 3 Mystery Tonics.

People who open the chest during halloween event will get mystery tonic, therefore this system is made for those who are trying to get halloween item from the chest.

I know it’s kinda lame, but I understand what Anet is trying to do since there are tons of people whining that they didn’t get anything good from the chest…

I was able to do it with all races without having problem, although you have to time your jump correctly in order to get in the clock tower.

I failed to get in the clock tower twice with my asura, but I didn’t encounter a single problem with my human character.

Yes, you should be able to use transmutation stone to re use the skin.

Well at least I’ve re used many times the skin that you get from the character creation(e.g. hood for thief).

I did my first attempt for only about an hour with my norn, after that less then half an hour for my asura.

IT IS harder to do it with an asura because everyone else does block your view, although at the end I did it just like you say.

The problem is NOT everyone can do it like that.

But I like the difficulty as it is.

Try to open all the chest along the way :P

Sure it’s harder to do it with an asura but it’s do able, also it’s getting easier toward the top because most people probably already fall before you therefore less people block your view lol.

Since this isn’t really about the achievement itself (which I said a few comments back I wouldn’t talk about anymore): that’s not very sound logic. There are plenty of other achievements which aren’t challenging to get and are still listed under achievements.

Although I’m not a fan of jumping puzzle, I just keep trying.

Mummy and skeleton costume are good if you can use it properly, if you get spider, candy corn monster, etc go get a new one from the mystic forge until you get a good one.

Just because you don’t understand how to be good doesn’t mean the other feel the same.

This is not PVP btw so you can’t say it’s pay to win because it’s not the core game. This brawl system is new so I expect more balancing in the future.

Why there is no title for getting 500 win at costume brawl?

lol I saw someone on lv 15 yesterday and he did pass through because there were so many people going there so he just went the zerg of people.

As long you can stay near a group of people you should be fine, most of them are helpful.

You don’t need a TS for the first time that you apply the skin. After that you can use TS to change the stats as much as you want provided you have the appropriate TS(normal TS lv1-79 item, fine TS lv80 item).

Will you use the book for your level 80 character? I don’t because it has lame stats. The devil horn is a town clothe so you can’t wear it during combat.

Look at those skins from the chest, they can be transmute WITHOUT the use of TS. They should at least give us skins instead of giving out something that we can barely use during playing the game.

Transmute it with stones then. Not like that is so hard or expensive… and if you really got an issue with it, add a proper constructive criticism post to the suggestion board or something.

It is a Halloween event, and as far as I can understand about Halloween (living here in EU) its is all about tacky plastic “horror” stuff anyways. Just roll with it and enjoy it while it lasts.

Besides, who knows what the other acts may give us?

You do have free things you can get. You can get the devil horns for free, and so far there’s that book that you can equip (though I feel there’s more to that book in the next acts).

EDIT : There is still a chance you will get any cool item/skin from future acts, so people still have to be patience about it.
