+1, I would like it also.
- Parts of orr in the cursed shores could be showing signs of life returning.
- Less undead mobs the further you get away from Orr with the natural creatures of that area coming back and the inhaatints rebuilding.
- Signs of the pact preparing for their future
- Memers of Destinies Edge apearing in events, especially with your factions member showing up in events you create.
- Increased activity from Kralkatoric and Jormags minions.
- Increasing the difficulty and rewards of the world bosses as well as adding failure states in these versions of the zones (So that players not up for such a challenge can go for the safer versions of these encounters.)
Great ideas. I like them.
Complains go all the way. I only hope someone in there is listening for them.
Hopefully someone will answer to our calls!
+1 It makes sence /15chars
. Mapping simply doesn’t take that long. 20 laurels per gift sounds reasonable.
Really? I don’t know how you do it, but for me it takes long. Maybe you can speed run it but most ppl don’t do it. 20 would be like waste of the gift.
I personally thing that trading for laurels would be a waste since you do exploration for something unique (legendary like), so making it equal to 20-50 laurels means it doesn’t matter, you can just sit in any place for X-days and get the same.
I really would like to trade it for any event skin available in game like molten/consortium/wintersday and future ones.
I dont need it bout thats right. Some ppl would like it and it could be easily done.
Also adding real reward for compleeting whole map (read this post: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Gifts-of-Exploration-1/first ) would also help the idea I have shown xp(SP) → gold conversion
Flippers also help the economy by sinking gold through listing and selling fees.
TL;DR: when creating money out of thin air, prices of all items go up, so players wont be able to buy more
You are right that the prices of non-vendor items will go up. However, the purchasing power of players who actively play and earn exp will increase relative to those who don’t. Not to say that this is a good idea though. CoF path 1 farmers will be earning even more gold with the exp conversion and the number of CoF farmers are huge compared to tp flippers. The small number of tp flippers are nerf, the CoF farmers are buffed, over all I think its still a lose to the average player.
If you would have readied my fist post you would have known I for a lot of penalties for dungeons since I thought about it and I know how to abuse changes that I asked for. All information’s are in first post. It really would work if done right.
Also it would stop the most stupidest way to level alts – end boss entry.
But if I had to choose:
-New class/weapon abilities
-New zones
-No level increase, no gear/stat increase. Just skins, obtainable relatively easy without 3 months of grind, RNG, or spending in the cash shop.
-More personal story
-Solo/Duo mini dungeons.
— Especially duo dungeons that would scale. So its not only soloable, but i would be able to do it with few ppl, not only full party and if we had 6 ppl we could just divide and all have something to do.
— New Zones and new mechanics are also very much needed!
YES, YES, YES!
You have all designs from GW1, just modify them and get them to GW2. I’m sure they would sell nicely in gem store.
Ppl like me who played GW1 would love to buy those back for GW2 characters.
Those ideas are nice. I agree with all except for:
- remove soulbinding and keep it to account bound
1. Could be nice idea and worth SOME gems.
2. Thats the funny idea
I would love my mini to run for my bags. It would look so funny considered the sizes
:D:D.
Out of 25 obsidian shards I made 1g and 7 clovers. (I took into account the cost of ectos and coins).
Still, why not make clovers sellable in the TP? Selling them for 6s at a random vendor seems wasted, somehow…
Good point. I would also want to make some better use of my obby shards.
Maybe obsidian armor from GW1?
I would love that.
In the end any way would be nice to have something for them since they drop from Orrian Box quite often.
You could still recycle the molten facility using a living story about the dwarfs and primorodus (or whatever his name was) when the destroyers find the molten facility and adapt the technologies using the power. Unlike fire legion and dredge, this story would be permanent just like Zhaitan is permanent. (also introducing dwarfs and underground cities, as well as the old city of the asura’s)
That’s content right there, my friends.
I love the idea.
Still I would like to see orginal Molten Facility in Fractals.
I have an idea. It’s really wishful thinking but I would allow trading 1 gift for bound to account PRECURSOR.
That would make the biggest problem go away.
(Not that final legendary items should also be bound to account so ppl would not sell the final product earned this way.)
Aside form that I don’t know.
Allow trading it for any kind of weapons ticket in the game or something.
—
It really shows your affection to the game and should be considered a really great reward for a player instead a taking spot in bank item.
That’s a nice idea, but I think both the items (the original and the clone) should become account bound instead.
Again right point to it. It should work like that!
Even during the Wintersday event, they had weapons in the gem store and another set for trade, using the ugly sweaters, socks, hats (which were able to be tradable through the tp. I liked this system. Gets you to actually play the event (and the game) to earn the weapon instead of always hoping to get a ticket.
The only problem for me was that I didn’t liked the design of wooden items so I didn’t bought them, and those that you could trade looked awful.
Yet they made on of the coolest (fused) design and went for BLChests… That SUCKED big time.
It’s all about preferences. I didn’t likes Brahm and Rox items, but I saw many ppl having them ind it was cool. I would bought them if they would fit my characters for sure!
I could use some of Jade skins not to mention Fused, but Consortium skins sucked almost everyone I asked.
In the end they gave only those things that I and most of my friends consider ugly to be bought in gem store. This sucks…
I don’t know why doesn’t ANet look how many ppl have bought Primevail skin already. It looks great and I have it, they have my money, and its OK!!

To me the molten facility died. It was ruined by me and my friends so it’s gone forever. Which doesn’t mean it doesn’t stay in our memories. And something being in Tyria’s memory may most likely appear in Fractals of the Mist. That’s the only plausible thing where Molten Facility could reappear in my opinion.
I totally agree it has it’s touch that you have done something and it doesn’t come back to the world. It could be accessible by fractals but I would like to see the whole dungeon and that should count for 3 mini dungs not one of them.
If fractals could get another mode with 1 long dungeon instead of 3 mini it would work for me.
But in the end it should be accessible, not destroyed forever since ppl loved it and ANet worked few months for doing this and it had some of best mechanics (especially jumping over waves) that I saw in have till now.
Most off ppl will agree we need fresh mechanics cause too many things in here are almost the same to play, not to mention lack of challenges for hardcore players (I’m not one of them, but I hear them).
Good point!
I would also suggest that the resulting item with the cloned appearance is account bound. The original can remain unbound if it was to start with.
Good point.
We dont neer any more gold taps. If we had a tap like this we would need a huge gold sink to compensate, all players gain xp somehow, meaning that all players should be affected hy he new gold sink aswell, resulting in nothing that changed.
Even if we got xp to gold conversion, gold would inflate massively and your more gold would seem like more, but at the same time that piece of bread or equipment raised in price aswell.
Creating gold out of thin air doesnt make players able to buy more, It jus lets them buy more vendor items.
If price of bred goes up that’s ok as long as everyone can buy the kind of bread they want with their money.
I’m talking about making it better for normal players – YES, some ppl are still here playing making alts etc and what they get nothing… Rewards are just awful. Yes, they are better than in most MMOs, but still awful.
So ppl who play will always be pure. Sure some don’t mind that but then there goes this neat piece like molten jetpack that you think ‘I would really love to have that on my asura’, but unfortunately it can only be bought by rich ppl, so sucks to be you for not spending time on farming cause you won’t buy it if it doesn’t drop on you and we all know how we love RNG…
So I can ask you why only the rich ppl can have what they want? Sure it works like that in real world, but it doesn’t have to work like that in here.
Yesterday someone made topic why does miniatures market went so down and he seemed for me like he was almost crying. I answered that post saying – it’s FINALLY happening since normal ppl won’t buy minis for 100g+ per exotic for the collection, only those who cheat the system will do it. So now it’s finally making some sense.
Keep in mind that TP flipping isnt easy, if a flipper is swimming in gold they probably wpent alot of time to learn and improve. If flipping was easy everyone would have done t and no one would profit.
Flippers also help the economy by sinking gold through listing and selling fees.
I personally can tell you it’s really easy (not to mention guides on the net). I have done it for a short time then I realized that it kills my fun. My fun is not something like being rich in a game, but playing and having fun with others. Then that is why I have 8 characters at lvl 80 for each class, and each of them have at least 60% of the map, cause it was fun, but how long can you move through almost empty locations and doing things only solo?!
I didn’t bought single player game…
I still remember when I was constantly in overflow cause map was so full. I miss those days even thou it was laggy and had it’s problems.
People stick to dungeons with gw2lfg.com and 75% of that are CoFs (for farming) and fractals cause ppl have nothing better to do.
Making maps means nothing. Yes, those wonderful maps, that I love, they look so nice, they feel so nice. Almost no one sees them anymore cause that doesn’t make you rich. Then let ppl become rich in there…
Being social means nothing. Just enter CoF, shut up and do it in 6min cause ppl need to feel their greed…
Let’s make peoples effort worth something finally.
Not random 2 items with chance for RNG black lion chest for doing the map…
I have no problem with the living stories they’re okay as they are except that the impact isn’t yet great enough.
I mean seriously. What is left from the 2 living stories? Nothing but a crazy karka queen.
Well, they said they will leave more from Living stories, but really need for the to focus on nice mechanics and ability to come back to THE BEST parts they made. I don’t think that most of you would want to defend refuges again, but most of my friends would love to do Molten facility or other instances where we were with Rox and Brahm.
Personal question for ANet – Why did you left the idea of giving us characters we can play with like Brahm and Rox?!
My friends loved that, it felt like doing dungeon stories when you started to know Destiny Edges story and felt emotionally bound with them. It’s like reading a nice book when you meet a character and he lives, makes decisions, mistakes and such.
This is already in place.
Mystic weapons. In a round a bout way…. xp —> skill points--> gold
Thats a very poor conversion and to reward ppl and make flipers and farmers equal to normal playing persons payer would need a lot more than 2-3g for hours of play…
The problem is that chest rewards should have that system also so pppl would finally stop doing hours farms in CoF…
I hope this does get implemented, but the fact that it wasn’t available at launch suggests that it may be harder to program that at first thought.
The fact that guild membership is account-based but representation is character-based is incredibly stupid, so they should fix that anyway.
True. Anyway, please do this chat!!!
I love the idea, but it cant be used for legendaries.
Nice idea. +1. /15 characters
NO, DON’T CHANGE IT!
That’s the only way to stop ppl to rush to vendor but 1000000000 of stuff and then rush back to TP.
Of course that would only benefit ppl for already flipped thousands of gold and not real players.

Tickets should be in gem store (not gamble you will get one, but buy the ticket…) and you should be able to gamble outside of gem store.
Making them tradable in TP – that would also worked.
The best solution would be doing both of those things instead of making ppl hate ANet for RNG like in every 3rd post I read…
- I would like to see more different mechanics like in Molten Facility or in mini dungeons – those were nice and too many things in GW2 are just straightforward dmg spam.
- Also I would love to see another continent like Canthia (If you will expand Tyria by Living story that is)
- Guild houses, personal houses, guild attacks (in way like one guild challenges another one and they both choose time for rad on a guild house or some battlefield battle)
- More WvW maps which would enforce different mechanics in each map
- bring back a lot from GW1 pvp please
- Some new races and classes could be nice but not really needed except playing Kodan
- In the meantime add more dungs and challenging stuff for typical hardcore players Molten Facility and such
- also add a lot more storylines for Living World
Karma is ok since it is convertable go gold and its really nice.
Better read my thread about Xp (SP) → Gold conversion and making players effort rewarded:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/XP-TO-GOLD-conversion-vs-flippers-and-farmers/first
Potential problem I see is players buy the skin they want right away. No problem except then they would come to the forums and complain that they don’t have anything else to do. So the tickets gives people something to shoot for. And it breaks the monotony of regular play during times of no event.
Only if selable.
But remember there are ppl like I who wont do it just bacause its RNG. So we are off for good from the system and stil most of us will get bored very soon.
I personaly like the idea just as the ide for mini slot in your chart.
“Yes. /15 characters.” <- +1 for the idea also
Prices have dropped so much in the past few days
Will they ever go back up?
I would say that minis market starts to be reasonable for normal players not some money freak flippers and CoF Farmers that have too much money.
Minis were supposed be accesible, not like buy 1 exotic mini for 100g+… LOL…
MINIS MARKET IS NOW BETTER THAN EVER AND I HOPE IT WILL BE DOWN FOR GOOD AND EVEN LOWER!!!
Yes I am very sure about buying this item zillion times!
/sarcasm ends/
Would it be impossible on during Dragon Bash this feature could be removed?
As I see it its to make ppl not buy gulk of items ans shatch them through bank slots.
I like it the way it is.
GOOD WORK in here ANet!
I think it’s great idea. I heard it from so many ppl, but ANet don’t want to do it…
I don’t know why.
Didn’t Brahm and Rox weapons sold ok?
You can sell tickets for 600gems and some ppl would buy it for sure.
Please make tickets purchasable in gem store or just make them sellable via TP.
Anyway most ppl in here dont like to gamble and its time ANet learns that.
I owuld sugest something else. Instead of getting 60 tokens lets divide all prices in 10 and we will get 6 tokens per run, nad make every bag drop 1 token so you can get up to 9-10 tokens per dungeon. Then 250 would be ok.
Also I love the idea for gatherable spots for tokens in bank.
In another game I’ve played, it worked exactly like this: Completing quests would give a character XP, but only until the character was maxed out. For max level characters, the XP reward was converted intoa gold reward.
I think there would be ways to make this work for GW2.
Keep in mind that event farming already happens (for karma), it would just be a little more rewarding. Also, dungeon farming already happens, but dungeon paths include events, so dungeon farming, too, would become a little more rewarding for players who do that anyway.
Everybody else would have additional income by simply playing the game, making events more rewarding for level 80s. Right now, if you’re going to do events, it makes mroe sense to do so on an alt (below level 80).
This change could even things out a little bit, so you play your main when you feel like playing your main, and levelling your alt when you feel like doing that, without the event XP going to waste.
If you cut events for area and dungeons on repeats it would not matter if you could benefit a little bit dungeons and karma farmers. The goal would be to make them cover more map or farm only little everyday so that normal players would be matched with their income so everyone in game would have similar money.
No it’s like this:
- flippers swim in gold,
- Cof farmers have a lot of gold
- event farmers probably a bit less than CoF farmers
- normal ppl have nothing if they don’t drop something valuable by chance and not many has that luck, so they are drown to do what above examples do and that why we have come ridiculous prices in TP. If it wasn’t for that precursors would still go for 100g max, not to mention other stuff.
On the other hand if this situation would make farmers make new characters to do hearts again it would again benefit the game in my opinion.
PLEASE give this topic a bit more atention and rate it so ther can be chance for every player in game.
(edited by Septemptus.7164)
I also would like to see a way to mark item as “not to be sold”.
Or “not to be salvaged”.
I think it should be the same. Like “protect the item”.
Anyway we need this feature.
I would like to see it.
I so agree with all you pointed in this move, especially the ability to go back to already passed event dungeons or instanced zones that have events still going.
I REALLY hope to get back molten facility since it was one of the best dungeons in this game.
Also I loved the story feeling in Flame and Frost that is now gone with last 2 Living Stories ;(…
WE can still have episoded Living Story with another great story like main storyline in GW2. Think about it.
And temporary contents… I feel SO MAD! that I’m forced to log in for each part weekly. I want to have at least 2-3 weeks of time. I’m not some no life to log in each week to run around LA with 5 characters or do few instances. Give me some time. I have a live and family, allow me to do it when I want with some logical boundary, like a month or so.
(edited by Septemptus.7164)
I also would like to see a way to mark item as “not to be sold”.
The Idea is great. I would love to see it.
But guild is accesed by characters, many characters can be in other guilds, so you would need also abbility to select guild form that chat window.
Again I love the ide. Please go for it!
For some time I hear from ppl in few guilds and in YouTube, that really money lays in TP flipping or CoF P1 speed runs. That is really true, but it also damages the game since more and more ppl log in do some flipping and goes off not playing at all and still have all they want to buy.
Instead of further punishments to players I would prefer rewarding those who really play the game.
I understand that some ppl likes trading and that makes them happy, but I think that game promotes this kind of play now, but unintended since TP was supposed to be additional way to make money not main reason and only tool for it.
All that happens because doing things across maps means nothing. Even daily tasks/achievements means nothing now for most of ppl who have all laurels ppl wanted.
I think that there should be few changes to make ppl play again instead flipping and farming.
SOLUTION
1. You should be able to do conversion experience points to gold (any way, similarly to how you can convert karma to gold), since ppl who play have a lot of xp on their characters and way to many skill points that are just there without any real use.
Event xp and hearts xp could be boosted also for this solution.
(I know this can be used against the system so read below till the end.)
2. Events farming.
Currently there is a system that gives you less and less xp/karma/gold if you repeat the same event, but ppl do loops in Arach, Southsun etc.
If you can make it also count events in each map it could be a safe way to prevent farming. If you go and actually do the map you usually won’t do more than 20 or 30 events. If ppl stop getting xp/karma/gold after for example 25 events on each map (per account a day). Loosing xp from events if you can transfer that xp to gold in efficient way would make some ppl to go for other maps, just like meta events with rare item chest.
3. Dungeons.
Ppl farm dungeons and that is ok. Everybody knows that and it makes some parts of the community angry especially when ppl acts like !@#$% in their CoF P1 warrior/mes zerg runs.
Again there should be penalty for all gold/silver/copper and drop rate if possible for doing the same dungeon over and over. Also xp penalty (per account) for finishing dungeon to prevent dung farming for xp – gold conversion.
There should also be penalty for ppl who swap characters in dungeon, since pits common now that ppl swap for alts in half of the boss fight in CoF so they can level them fast.
If killing each boss character participates in, can be used as a marker, then end reward should be based on your participation. You have fought 2nd boss 60%, last boss, 30%, but if you haven’t event touched it you have nothing etc.
I think this can be base for a system that would reward players who actually ply instead of farming. This could also scatter farmers across most of maps at least a bit and make ppl who only use TP be a bit more matched with ppl who spend real time in game.
I know there are more things that should be considered in this, but it’s a BASE. You can add some ideas for it. I really hope someone in ANet would read it and make something similar to make real players experience some love against farmers and flippers.
I’m sorry for all typos, but I made this post in a hurry.
(edited by Septemptus.7164)
+1 So TRUE, I love what you did this event, as for items and such.
I still hate no real story in there since Flame and Frost… I want more storylines!!! Paraler story lines.
I would prefer if wings moved when you move, and when you stan they can move only from time to time or strech or something like that.
In game that was made to feel alive making real threat that sits on its but and don’t move, waits to be forced to go few steps back (daily rare items hunt with bash the dragon stile we have for months), I would say dragons are just overgrown pets we have no business with. And whole game seems to be broken for that reason.
I imagined that Flame and Frost would lead to make another personal story-like thing from Flame and Frost, but we get really nothing like TO DO list for like last 2 months, aside from SAB that was cool and unique.
