Yes, those bots or on the run for months and I reported several and they are still online. Others reported also and almost none of them got banned. It’s sad but you can rad some post on that (some that I read got deleted).

So overall yes, I agree I might go a bit too far, but I feel they are trying to go the way most games do:
- persuading (forcing) people to buy gems with a bad way
- going for cheap items (reskins instead of making new ones)

Let’s face it GW2 gem store is kinda lowering the level and if they do that I might stop paying for things in there. Those last deals make me feel kind betrayed, yet I want to support the game. So I don’t like the way I feel.
If more people feels like me then it will impact finances and that will impact everyone in game as far as I know.

As for me. If they need cash boost, make expansion and sell it like another game. I know it might not be their style, but we all play for free so buying massive update once a year or two is not that bad. That can help finances a lot.

Cultural armors are expensive and exclusive for the very reason that they are cultural. That’s their whole point. Taking that away only would make everything more common and wide-spread.

Molten items, some of the first added even items like Ghastly shield, Halloween backpack, maybe winters day weapons (although they look poor), Molten jetpack? Even things from Zephyrite sanctum starts to be rare.

Items that are always in game will never be so please don’t lie to yourself.

the reason why i am against gem store sales is because they become skins for just one character, not unlocks like the HoM armor skins, if they do become actual unlocks i would not mind it as much.

I really look forward to see that, but in the end I would buy even one for the character if they would review one from GW1.

- there are many items needed in gem store – thole thread with ideas those were few.

Game improvments to make people feel better:
- fighting gathering bots that create incoms for gold selling sites? (for few months they are on an uprise, but there is lack of fight from ANet – just read forums)
- expanding the world so people stop suffocating?
- announcing expansion so people who stopped playing would log in and try to get ready for it?

How do they reach us?
Thats very simple. Just by paying attention to the fact that we don’t have to buy gems in 1 month but for last few of them?
Basically they say “We don’t care you spent money for last few months. Pay us now”.

Crafting a singe weapon is not a problem, but they should help players with multiple characters by lowering the cost of 2nd item, then 3rd and 4th so after gearing like 3 characters rest would be pretty much free.

Also leveling Crafting is like a huge mistake. It should be less costly to get to 500. Basically now we are forced to have ton of cash and only minority of this game population has it. Leveling 1 crafting school to 500 for 200g at start and after months over 100g… Thats really too grindy way to go.

It could be an option but it should be an expensive one. 100g is expensive for most people. 1k badges is not really expensive in WvW, so it should be balanced.

Perhaps the largest question I still have, how would everyone feel if the only changes to commander were the smaller scale ones? The other stuff is super interesting and has a lot of promise, but is also a major task and one I can’t make any guarantees about. Would the commander system be functional enough with more markers, guild only tags, less suppression, better supplyinfo, and possibly additional marker shapes?

*I hate to say it but if everyone had one they wouldn’t be legendary. * Yes we are all, as individuals, are on our own hero’s journey but we also are playing in a shared world but an item that by label is “legendary” should be difficult to acquire. And to craft one, what you need above everything else is the precursor weapon so they made that difficult to find. Sure there’s an extremely rare chance they will drop from a major chest or from playing the mystic slots and some people are luckier than others which is why you can get one off the TP. Of course you and everyone else wants one and they are rare so expect to pay though the nose for it.

John already showed us a while back how many of a particular precursor sold in a single day. Problem is we don’t see them because they simply don’t last long enough to register on the TP. It’s posted and sold between the times that item was sampled by gw2spidy, gw2tp or gw2db.

And yet, you can buy one from TP. Very legendary indeed.

If everyone worked hard enough to get one, how would that make it any less legendary (at least on individual level)?

Basically the fact you can buy it from TP or even the fact it isn’t made only by bound to account items like all dungeon tokens, ascended materials etc makes it useless and non legendary, so I basically don’t care.

I feel more legendary with my molten staff or back piece from 1st Halloween, because you needed to be there and do something and its almost or no more ungetable.

Besides we will have soon legendary precursor hunt, so those of you who think legendary is actually worth it, just wait for that.
As it will soon come you will get your gold sink item that 1/4 of players have till now.

Hopefully those precursors will be bound to account and legendaries made from it abound to account also.

Simple solution to the personal story… make it unavailable until you choose an order. When you race change, remove the personal story of your character and get rid of the quests, keeping only your order. Cultural armor could be changed to the new race’s of the same tier.

This could lead to some technical problems, but I think everyone would agree it’s better to redo the story if you change the race than don’t change race cause the story is the problem.

Or if possible only make someone redo first X levels of the story.
But let us change the race.

How big do you expect a squad to be?
What kind of content is a PvE commander most useful?
Is money a good enough gate for commander tags?

1. As big as possible. At least for all map characters
2. Being guild commander, commander being account status, 1 name for account commander (showing commander name instead of characters name), making sub squads, commander being able to see every person in squad like they are in a party (yellow color?), making one squad with more than one commander, different commander tag shapes and colors.
3. Money seeps to be OK. Some people buy them just because they are buy able, but they don’t do much damage aside for making people in LA map crowded with tags.

There would be also a nice way if you could click on tag and disable seeing this commander for 1 day, 7 days and forever. If we see a troll commander we can use that.
Please make blocked commander list similar to blocked list.

I think it’s less of an issue now that you can trade siege and I wouldn’t exactly say it’s working as intended. I think our goal was siege placement was done but lots of different people but in reality it’s much easier and more practical for the commander to do it as they have a better understanding of supply and are paying more attention to these things. I could see features to support easier donations but in the end I think people can do this pretty easily now so I honestly haven’t given a feature like that much thought or discussion but now typing this got some ideas flowing about it and I could see a few neat ways that could be improved. : )

Maybe commander can activate siege lock in area around him that will basically mean “Only I place siege in this zerg”.

You have siege lock and you can use the mechanics of a baner holed in hands that refreshes area of effect each few seconds.

Since the start I had a major respect for people in ANet.

It amazes me how mad people get when Anet decides to offer bonuses for buying Gems. They aren’t forcing you to buy Gems to play this game. Just like when they offered Gem Store discounts for items these past three days. It’s all optional. If you buy X amount of Gems, get bonus goodie. Pretty simple marketing tactic. It’s a different story if Anet put it up for sale for 4k Gems.

Players need to realize that it’s their own desires that drives the decision on whether to buy Gems for the mini or not. Are you a collector, and desperately need Mr. Sparkles to complete your set? Are you a completionist that needs to fill every blank slot in your bank? Or are you an asura fanatic that must have an epic golem to show off in game? Last I checked, Anet isn’t responsible for our psychological profiles.

I respected them a lot when they promoted buying gems with free minis. You could get them anyway and those who supported the game had them extra.

When they changed it to free gifts only for those who will spend money when we tell them to – I LOST MY RESPECT FOR ANET.

I’m glad I don’t collect those special minis since I only bought 2k gems and 4k gems is too much for me in December. I would basically rage.

I have an idea that commanders should be able to have 4 states of tag:
1. Off
2. Small commander
3. Guild commander
4. Full commander

It would mean that if you have your guild or pack of friends like max 10 ppl (in squad) and you raid camps and towers you can mark yourself as small commander so people will see you.

It would allow commanders to ask such a group to knock keep door, when they are next to them or something similar. (It might be a good idea that small commanders would only be visible for people with commander tag on).

I love those ideas, but for me where should be some trait lines, not only one. Also you would get cxp (commander xp) when runing with tag on? (not sure if it would not make more chaos than its worth.)

Basically, there should be mechanics to make it better for people to run with commander and do what he says and not only do solo missions, which are fine.

I would increse the range and make it only for people in squad (so people would join and not only run next to you.)

At the start I will say I dont have commander tag so I will be a bit teorethical, but please hear me out anyway.

I would say Commander firstly needs to be Account Bound with new name space.
Basically you buy commander and set commander name. When you have tag on it shows commander name on all characters. When you don’t – you have normal name.

Comanders should be able to join one another (main commander invites others or they invite themselves below another as sub commander). Commander should be able to mark people within a squad with different collors (just a circle next to a name that would indicate that you are with commander and what team). Also Commanders (within a group) whould see on the map all marked characters from the squad on the entire map, to allow them to see how does each group progress with their assigment.
Showing assigned group in squiad in chat would be great.

That are my thoughts for now.
I hope commander will become game changing aspect.

Sure, but I have characters (8 of them) and I plan to play WvW with like 4 of them. So moving those boosters would be nice.

You can bump it all the time, but sadly no one cares anymore :/.

As mentionned, dungeon armors are really race-specific. I still wonder why the Flame Legion have armors for asuras, yet the black citadel vendors dislike the idea.

Same goes for female wear Sons of Svanir armor somehow.

I personnaly don’t think armor is really a part of race uniqueness. A human can wear a Twilight Arbor armor, so how does that make sylvari really unique, for exemple? Everyone can wear leaves, but only one kind.

I agree the fact I want cultural armor for everyone is very personnal: my character is young norn, so as young norns have human bodies, I play a “human”. AND the T2 medium skirt is really cool.

I understand that cultural armor should be tied to a culture but making it race specific is way too bad.

Really let us work to be prised by a race to get cultural armor…

They have to work on them and that is an effort I can gladly pay for but I really want them. Many people like you can read in this thread or all over the forum, wants them.

I love the idea. It can even be tied to some gem components like mystic stones, but they HAVE TO BE available FOR ALL RACES!

Personal story and home instances aren’t of much importance to many players. With an obvious warning that personal story and home instances would be reset/wiped/whatever, I’m sure many, many people would still buy gems for character race change.
