The main confusing component is the silhouette inside. It makes both icons displaying brown/gold.
Without it, a brown arrow with a gold outline would be very distinguishable from a gold arrow with a brown outline.

3x Pull give you a lot of advantages; Your other skill can be focused on 1 spot, your group mate can also better target all foes at once.
In the 2nd Beta version people who were pulled in the center, had more problem to leave the gravity well.
It is noticeable that in the 3rd version they could really easily walk out or dodge out of the well.
This is why, some of us (if other players consider CC as CC whatever it is) really would want the 3xpull.
Are you not looking for efficiency? and as said before it fits more the description of gravity well.

In the past, a change almost went live that was designed to nerf on-clone-death traits, but would have ruined pretty much all shatter builds. This change was going to make it so that you couldn’t produce another clone by overwriting if you already had 3 illusions. Through this almost-change, they’ve demonstrated the technical capability to modify overwrite mechanics.
Never a Dev said, this might happen. The community made a suggestion. They never said, it is ok.

first of all
I guess the dev tried what they could and if this didn’t happen until today. It may be really hard or impossible to separe the log for clone production on dodge and on skill.
Since the skill has to function correctly, clone replacing a phantasm; if you have 3; is a must.
2nd
Add that there is even clone prodcution on trait. What do you do about decoy and despeprate decoy?
If you play wihout Deceptive Evasion, you should be fine.
If you play wih it, it was stated already, some time you need a clone near you. to increase the burst.
You would make a lot of things useless: like Mirror Images.

Clone overwriting phantasm is a good thing, and due to the mechanic impossible to change.

There is nothing wrong with a couple seconds of continuous block at a time now. There are multiple classes that have continuous blocks…I don’t see all this forum crying about those.
Chronomancer is not a real bunker, won’t be and will never be. Continious Block for which Mode?
You could Block 2 attacks in a row. It was enough.
I didn’t get any problem in WvW nor in PvE
If you plan to rush in middle of the crowd and to shine, you failed as Mesmer and as Chronomancer.
It has Not his place there.
It is more a question of being skilled or having some cheesy block.
You people forget that Tides of time is the real block and that Echo of Memory is the phantasm summon.

I understand that people absolutly need float in the cc applicated. It is something different and only few class have access to it.
But truly, the new gravity well is weaker in term of CC, nobody or only few may understand; In Term of efficiency 3x pull is better, so i can not really understand why people are so happy about this change.
I really wish to have the 3x pull what even suit more the Name of Gravity well.
Do you guy really need this float so much?
Float has nothing to do there…And if float, it should be only after the gravity pressure.

Again, please remove the continious block before it is too late.
I saw it coming…. Some people now complain that it is too strong in Combo with déjà-vu; And yes, they are right.
Now they are talking about reducing the time of the block(sensless). Please, before you change the Name of the skill and/or change something about déjà-vu, just revert it to single block. To have 1,25 sec block or block 1 Attack, won’t make the real difference.
As said in my Previous post. Déjà-vu is there to make up for the weak block.
Chronomancer just don’t need a continious block.
People won’t understand or hate me. But it is a matter of being skilled, to be able to deal with 1 attack block. You don’t need to block everything randomly.
Plus, somewhere i don’t want the Chronomancer to be so easy to play.

I’ll say it again, you had already the right Idea about the Shield Skill and Gravity well.
Most of the Mesmer player can just not see as far as you see and you try to adapt to them.
This is not always the best solution, don’t destroy everything.

It was perfectly Viable and Reliable.
Now let’s tell the truth;
The phantasm is now pure garbage, it won’t even cast his skill if the enemy is moving. The Phantasm skill is still blockable, so nothing changed as well.
Mesmer Channeled block just doesn’t suit. The skill is now more focused on block than summoning phantasm. The phantasm won’t even summon if the enemy hide.
As stated before Déjà-vu was a compensation for the lack of block duration.
Srsly the previous was well thought.
You blocked an attack and you could almost instantly slow down the enemy’s Pace.
Now You block and you have to wait 4 sec for a running chicken phantasm.
what is wrong with you? to like it…..

Ragnarox is right, Anet always tried to keep quickness to low time.
As a mesmer using boon removal, i don’t care but something is wrong there.
It is not how Anet is doing things. So i guess you can expect some change soon or later.
