you can forget about hammer, riffle, mace, axe.

Sure is you get a shield offhand.
the only weapon that a mesmer can get are:

bow (this one pretty much sure),
warhorn (75%)
pistol (50%)
dagger(25%)

there is nothing you can use beside Purity, i tried all possible combo and it is the best. it helps out
I don’t want to sell off or give value to my build. I guess nobody would ever use it.

How many people use medic feedback 0-5%
How many people use Shattered condition 0-10%
How many people use blurred inscription 0-2%

How many people use it together in the same build guess only 1

I wanted also a true build using 2 full trait, what make it even more unique.

Since lots of people continue to ask me what i play in pvp, I will share it in forum.
build

I have a lot of pvp match as Mesmer, I played countless build. So i decided to do something good for the Dev of gw2. I chose to use the considered as useless PVP trait and make a build.

You will meet people insulting you at match begin, calling you PU. You’ll get insulted for using MOA. You’ll get insulted for using a totally different build from other people and using 2 signet.

But this build is quite useful, and somehow unique

After sharing the build with other people i began to see more and more people with Signet as mesmer.

I join 2 videos for you to see what you can and you can not do. (i could choose easy win videos but i didn’t). You can also see how you can get insulted.

Match Making

Is something wrong with match making?
most of my match, why do i have inexperimented player in my team or have to carry the whole team. Not considering that the enemies are not always that strong

Even if we lose, most of the time it end with me on the top.
If i don't give up halfway, because there are things you see that could give you brain cancer.

Is it because i play solo and not in Group.
It gets on my nerves…. what should i do for it to stop?

Most of them can not even explain why the y go far. Some players (warrior that i will not name) even say, I always go far at begin no matter what.

I hope not to get sick, because each time it really goes on my nerves.

Why do you always make Human light Armor So ugly, even for the Culture Armor.
Seriously, i noticed it almost 1,5 years ago already, but i thought it would change with time.
But it is going worser and worser.

I am not talking about Human Female, since most of them are great on Design

But on Topic, it is painful to skill 6 point on inspiration, above of this, it is painful to skill Shattered Conditions.
It is even considered as useless, since 80% of Mesmer don’t even play it.
an update there would make it more attractive

Condie mesmers are not good. They are never viable at all.
I am also not sure about the image and confusing image change. But even after the maim buff, condie mesmers are still pretty bad. They can’t hold point. Their damage is okay but not enough to force a capture. Their contribution in team fight is also low. Bottom line is condie mesmer has some decent 1v1 ability but does not shine in any specific department.

I don’t know what kind of condi mesmer you are used to see. But condi mesmer is the 1 of the strongest thing in this game.
I wonder they continue to buff them. PVE they need some love yes, but in PVP.

+ this story about they are useless in group fight is far from true.

IMO. This is a really strong trait already. Paired with DE, you have cd cleanse every 10 secs, 30, 45, 60 secs.

not counting if you have 3 clones, 4 if you have IP. 4 conditions. Imagine that. AOE too.

Combine this trait with sigils of energy, Illusionary Invigoration, signet of illusions, and the vigor on crit trait. + menders purity since you are on the Inspiration line.

You don’t know what you are talking about. Almost every decent mesmer tried what you are talking about. it is unplayable.

Pushing the inspiration trait this far is not easy going. When i wrote you sacrifice Phantasm, i really mean it. Since this trait favorite the phantasm your gameplay is based on them.

As support there is nothing wrong for asking a decent support in Grand master trait.

i am sure dev already thought about it, i just ask myself why didn’t they do it, knowing that is one of the less played trait and even more one the less skilled as grand master.

This is a Grand Master trait, and really hard to reach as inspiration trait.

It feels like, to have only 1 condition removed (per phantasm/clone) at the price of sacrificing 1 or 2 phantasms, a bit poor.

Above of this, as Support trait we should be able to really clean the conditions from our Group.

If you could increase the condition removed from 1 to 2 it would increase the support ability. Sometime you have only 1 or 2 phantasm/clone active
and you see your mate with 6 conditions.
For a Grand master trait, it would be justified.

I guess more people would think about using it.

Deceptive Evasion is kitten, which is needed in almost all build.

What about swaping it with phantasmal hase or Illusionary Elasticity.

Problem is it’d make no sense comparing the other Phantasms. none of those evade while attacking, well ok, Mariner, but that’s incidentally his special ability, that he evades. The Zerker has a crippling AE attack as a special.

And the other replay too. I am comparing the Skill wirlwind attack, from berserker and other class similar skill. They all evade. but the berserker not.
It should evade aswell.

I understand what you mean, but rather teleport which is too good, since you can sometime climb and get other advantage. It would be better to only increase celerity.

I’m interested in seeing these questions answered by those who have posted in this thread with a generally negative opinion, but have gone back and retried the map since yesterday’s changes.

In your opinion, are yesterday’s changes to Skyhammer generally positive? Are there other small tweaks like this (aside from removal of solo queue) that you feel would make the map a better experience for players – changes that wouldn’t drastically change the gameplay dynamic and aesthetic of the map?

Change are for sure really good, my opinion is positive, but:
Before Change the hammer was obviously to OP, after Change it is just a useless relict. You should reduce the shot’s cooldown and change the loading time. I don’t mind something extreme but since it is now dodgable.

For novice, it is easier to deal with the hammer’s shot. But people would still not want it in Tpvp. even if i like this map.

The change on glass are great
but you know a Mesmer will still successfully pull and push

I know how you (dev) love this map, it has a great design and a deep idea to be able to interact with the landscape. I wish we could have more map with dynamic landscape.

Clone/Phantasm Indicator:

Some time, I really need to look for the Phantasm HP before shattering.
Would it be Possible to have:
Normal Pink color circle for clone
Dark Pink or purple circle for Phantasm. (Those Dark Pink or Purple indicator would show in Circle percentage how many hp left for the Phantasm.)

it could be some improvement for the Mesmer’s gameplay.

Chaotic Revival.
Previous :Gain Chaos Armor when you rally.
change: Gain Chaos Armor when you use bandage.

Furious Interruption
Previous: Gain 3s quickness when you interrupt a foe.
change: Gain 5s quickness when you interrupt a foe.

Time Warp
Classify the Skill as Glamour and let it being affected by glamour trait.

Profession mechanic:
increase walk speed of shattering illusion by 25%
Add blast combo to Cry of Frustration
I would say to all Shatter’s skill but people would cry.

Beside the Boon removal, we can put it by side. Chaos Storm is not something for enemies to stay inside without punishment.

Only Domination trait and Chaos Trait make the skill somehow usefull. But it is too random to always relay on it. if not daze, the condi applied are Sxxt. Each applied 1 time randomly, 1 per hit . how is that usefull for a 35 sec cooldown skill.
Chilled: 1 s
Poison: 2 s
Weakness: 2 s

No… the skill is weak. for what it cost as recharge/cooldown.

1hit every 1/2 sec would not be OP.

It is just sad seeing people staying in Chaos Storm as if nothing were.

It should feel like “Oh Sxxt i am in Chaos Storm quickly go away”

and not as it is now: “Chaos Storm ? hmm interresting ok… let see what happen”

it is a 35 sec delay skill, i think it should be more usefull.

Increase the number of hitx2
reduce damage of each hit/2 it could even be/4, I would not care.
Add remove 1 boon per tic.

This would be 1 tic every 1/2 sec

Why do i suggest this; Chaos Storm don’t put enough pressure on the enemies.
The foes would really feel themselves in a Storm of Chaos.

Do you think this would be too much Over powered?

Some player play with a class X and shortly before win; Change to class Y.
So that Y get leaderboard ranking, and they somehow can access later the title for the class Y.

Some time this is even a cause of defeat.

If you Arena Net could do something about this unfair way of manipulating their ranking.

why are player even allowed to change a class within a match?

there is 2 min time to do it before match begin. I guess it would be fair to somehow lock the character change in match.

what will happen afterward.
The dead players from the enemy team will go to their “close”, you will die, you will give them 5 pts death, your team will maybe try to help you and die 1 after the other.

even if they don’t come to help you.
you die the enemies come to “Mid” with 3-4 people while you are on respawn; Now add the time to go to “Mid”

Going far at begin not good

But may be with experience and acknowledge of their own weakness this trend will leave the solo Q.

Even capturing “far” without back up is like the Memser’s butterfly.
It is Ephemeral. Such a hard work for only 10 sec cap….. ridiculous.

Power block should be reviewed to add 10 sec on cooldown.
not to give 10 sec cooldown.
if you interrupt without power most of class beside thief get 5 sec cool down.
with power block it should be 15 sec not 10.

And yes thief are not affected.

To begin with, the mesmer is a (what you call)meta class.
you played this game since so long time, and you don’t know that?
for each weapon 2 skills call (Meta) clone/phantasm

your crying is the cancer.

Stab clone was dealing Condition, it never bothers you. You are just afraid of change.
Scepter clone dealing condition won’t change that much. it changes things yes, but not that much for people to cry as death.

You should more worry about Illusion elasticity.

Most of cries are from people, being happy to easily run away from scepter mesmer or don’t attack until they use the block up.
Cry because now they will be under pressure of death.

Stop being that child.

Phanstasm Distortion is a great Idea but, placed on Triumphant Distortion:
I don’t think it would be very usefull.

this is why i would ask what about placing it on Blurred Inscription?
I would be easier to reach, and would me more appropriate i think.

I triumphant Distortion is just to hard to reach, for what it does.

Yes. Scepter auto attack was useless as condi weapon.

but i don’t know what is your problem, you always call condi mesmer useless, so there is no problem to add 1 condi on useless build.

I think the idea form A-net is to freed condi mesmer from duelling trait (sharper image)
i guess you should prefer pain from bleed, since formaly it deels fewer damage.

What if it isn’t removed/stolen/xfer’ed?

As someone said above, it wouldn’t matter.
The whole idea of stacking high duration Protection from it would rely on X targets, with X being a significant number, all attacking you. But if that happens, sorry, -33% damage or not you’ll melt in 1,5 seconds tops.

It still doesn’t make removing the ICD justified, especially against multi hit weapons. a 33% chance to get protection for 5 seconds (idk if boon duration effects this) per attack, 1 target alone could end up stacking a ton of boons on that target. Even for its short duration that 1 buff would end up changing the battle very quickly. Only exception is yes, multiple targets focus firing don’t make a difference but nothing really would to begin with. The point is to balance it on a smaller scale where 2, 3, even 4 people putting out little hits on someone with chaos armor would be overwhelming without an ICD.

Perhaps keep the ICD but split it per target and slightly increase the base duration of the boons applied (5 seconds protection is fine, maybe equalize the regen and and swiftness to 5 seconds as well if not 6 seconds). It would still be punishing for the enemy(ies) to hit you but it wouldn’t stack to high. At least if the enemy slips and hits you a few times you get something for a little while from the chaos armor. As for dealing with blobs, that’s not something chaos armor can solve.

well, i go get sometime 1 min 30 sec SWIFTNESS buff in pvp from thief and guard.

so, i don’t think there should be something wrong getin 30 sec from chaos armor, if 5 enemies attack you.

I find that Chaos armor is too useful as it is already. If you use glamours and a sword, staff, or torch, combo-fields will give you chaos armor in addition to the chaos armor from the staff. One can stack large amounts of chaos armor this way.

This is one of the combo i use, But……..
even like this, it seems it is broken. If i have 3 clone up and they get chaos armor from torch combo, i noticed that the condition one the enemies/foes stack only for 1 chaos armor, Not 3.

the issue is:
Q→Do you care if you see an enemy with chaos Armor?
A→ No, not a bit

Q→ Do you care if you see an enemy with Fire Shield?
A→ Yes, it hurts.

My self think twice before hitting an enemy with fire shield, but never care about chaos armor. This is sad.

So the skill hast to be useless somehow.

If you compare it to Fire Shield
Enveloped in a fiery shield that burns foes, grants might each time you are struck (1-second cooldown per attacker).

why could not the Boon from Chaos Armor adjusted to 1 sec per attacker.

it would be a fair buff for this skill.
+ People always target Mesmer, it would only be fair to get boon per attacker.

1 second cooldown for gaining boons and causing a condition.
1-second internal recharge for boons
1-second internal recharge per target for condition.

This mean if 5 enemies are attacking a Mesmer, he will get only 1 boon every sec.
this is a bit unfair, since the boons don’t even last long and the skill as 35 sec cooldown.

Is it possible to remove this 1 sec cooldown. or at least to get 1 boon per target. this mean each target would have a cooldown on the boon he gave.

Like you did for the condition. Each target has his own condi cooldown after hitting Chaos Armor.

For skill with 35-28 sec delay which only pulse 6 time and require 30 point in a trait to be really effective. you ask a lot. Don’t you think. Plus it easy to evade it with a roll.
