with 3 weapon +mytic forge stone (not “no mane”; weapons from achivements) adn i got a Precursor, at the 2nd try.

WvW is a reference, but not very usefull. Post how you burst some one in pvp with egual equip lvl and skill, afterwards you can say no.

Mesmer OP or Strong let’s clarify
Mesmer was a weak class, bound Phantasm or Condi in PvE and Shatter in PvP (if you were running something, you considered as kitten)
Now after the patch. Not even 1 weak had passed and yet you were already calling them OP.
Understand that Strong is not OP.
Mesmer is now a strong class, they were used to be targeted at first in group fight.
But now people trying this are burning their fingers, and call them OP.
Using 4-5 skill to burst someone is not OP, it is strong.
OP is Barrage grenade now, how it is. OP was turret before change.
May be you should take time to understand what changed and what you can do against it, before calling them OP.
Running berserk or Marrauder is a risk. getting burst is risk. But you can choose not use those, and you won’t get burst so quickly.
it is easier to win now, but let’s thing settling down before calling them OP.

Lol. Thieves will be absolutely insanely strong. I don’t see how you could possibly fear mesmers when you have 1200 range steal, panic strike, 2x ectoplasms, and everything else. You can even get immunity to mes sword #3 if you go acro as 3rd traitline.
Mesmers are now even more scared of thief.

Interrupt on first Hit with Magic Bullet doesn’t reduce the cooldown of the skill itself.

it seems everything that increase daze or stun duration make problem with Confounding suggestions

but i saw yesterday that the stats change for ascended require only 10 Spirits Shards.
Due to the rarity of ascended, I guess 10 Spirit shards may be not enough.
I mean, it is a luxury to be able to change Stats from Ascended gear.
People will surely hate me for such a post, but we must be realistic. It should require more effort than 10 shards. [15/20 shards]

Due to the change on 23.06 if you use the focus trait; Illusionary warden is almost useless without Invulnerability on spawn.
As said maint of time, It purpose is to spawn in Mobs and bunch of AOE. It will just get stun, or daze or whatever and won’t be able to atack once. Sometime, you will not even see him appear.
Since changing trait is not that simple and it seems they are not willing to do it, Adding block on the warden skill (while traited [so it is not for free]) seemed, for me, 1 solution.

there is lots of possibility; They could assign the block to the first Illusionary warden’s attack.
We just would like to be able to rely on it at least once.
Focus on mesmer is like a shield for Engi or warriors those class can still block for a couple of seconds.
But I didn’t recognize that blocking and attacking at the same time is pretty powerful.
However the chance that Illusionary Warden attack a 2nd time is pretty low.
Focus is such a great weapon, if correctly used. But warden without distortion or something to protect helping him while trying to attack is pure garbage.
I don’t mind if he get the condi and block physical melee.
Understand us please, it is a Warden. It is just logic to be able to feel sure near him.

Every mesmer know have 6 times stun (Mantra of Distraction) is hell…. and i would not like a nerf on it.
If it works like Portal, what I guess.
Casting mantras after mimic would recharge the cast of Mantra.
If not, i guess you cant wait before the last use of power Block to use mimic.
Either way we should be able to pull it of somehow.

what is a small radius? 60?,180? 240? 360?
i think 240 (not sure) is already a pvp area point. This is not helpfull if all your team get distortion

Master:

Illusionary Warden spawn in the mid of lots of AOE. not being able to give distortion while having the weapon traited is a painful choice. It was and IS an important synergy.
Above of this, Condi remove on shater in the same line Master, make it more painful choice.
I mean: It is sad to make Illusion Warden and focus more or less useless, since you can not get 1sec distortion on summon, and trait the weapon.
The purpose on warden is: not to die as soon as summoned…. but it is almost impossible without distortion.
- Inspiring Distortion: Whenever you grant distortion to yourself, you also grant it to nearby allies for 1 second (5s ICD)
Having this on Minor Trait is quite a bad idea.
Imagine yourself and your gorup fighting to defend some point, pvp or pve or wvw
Each time you get distortion(minor trait that can’t be changed) , you are losing a bit of what you want to actually defend. This is not the Point of Inspiraton trait, which is to allow you to defend and not lose something.
I don’t hink you and your team really want this.
if you don’t intend to remove this trait, which lose his defending purpose;
At least you could swap it with something like: Restorative Illusions.
DOMINATION
- Dazzling: Dazing a foe inflicts 5 stacks of vulnerability for 8 seconds.
Why not Daze+Stun, since Domination allow you most of the stun trait. (signet of Domiation inclusiv)

Any thief who’s played S/D for more than 5 minutes followed that post exactly, yet somehow you missed it. You’re probably not qualified to suggest changes to the class.
Not that this suggestion is a particularly bad one, it’s just clear you’re not really familiar enough with the skill to suggest changes.

Infiltrator’s Strike/return
Due to lack of cool down in the class mechanic.
Infiltrator’s Strike/return, having 15 sec to return is way too much. It is not even an utility skills, just a simple weapon skill.
It is just too much for the game mechanic and comparing it to other classes with cool down.
This skill is like a self portal, thieves are quick enough to handle 7 sec. It could even put some pressure on them to decide to reengage a fight or not, while using it,
but 15 sec is ridiculously too much.
I would propose to reduce it by half 7 Sec.
this is a serious issue, no joke.

1. Chronophantasma shatters the butterfly effect on the phantasm, it doesn’t destroy and resummon the phantasm so it liekly doesn’t reset its attack cooldown after a shatter.
this is precisely the good thing.

About the change in Signet Blurred inscription. You are invulnerable, remove boon and have 20% cooldown decrease all 1 trait. Even now it is easy to chain 2 phantasm without being interrupted, you can use decoy, you can use mass Invisibility. There are Plenty of ways.
I don’t think a Chronomancer using a great sword need to be in close range to pull it off.
It may be hard to understand on Paper, but it is easily done. Even more if you get quickness from Sigil of rage something like that.

You just need to cast 2 phantasm and shatter them after using f5.

there is no need for weapon swap, using signet recharge the phantasm,
I meant berserker(or) Duellist, since they are the most powerfull dps phantasm.
Impact.2780 understood what i mean.
The time gap is only 2 sec to cast them. since Illusion Persona, is a base line with 3 clone you have minimum 4 second time until you’ll go back in time.

Does this mean you can:
Create 3 clones
use Continium shift
summon Phantasmal Beserker/duelist, use signet of Ether ; resummon Phantasmal Beserker/duelist
Shatter them, they will be still there and attack.
Go back in time. Shatter them again.

He is right Chronomancer doesn’t fit the Mesmer.
The problem is there isn’t really a name for what the specialization is doing.
I was looking for Latin (memoria), Hora, Dies…. You know it is not time control.
It is time distortion.
Something like interstellar or Transcender, may be Transcender is a great name.
I could not combine all though to describe what the specialization with 1 word. But you know there is not the much famous god of time.
Still Guild wars have his own god, pick of the time god, and make a profession’s name.
Chronomancer is somehow ugly for a Mesmer.
This feedback is a serious deal. Mesmer just don’t want to be a Mancer. There is already 1 it is enough.

I have more than 10k pvp match on my Mesmer.
I tried all kinds of build. Even if most of people don’t admit it, the most viable pvp build is really clone death. Hated for being easy. But, the concept built around the Mesmer was more based on Illusion death than shattering.
The position of some traits was just senseless. This is not a nerf, it is a clean play.
The biggest issue was Illusionary Persona, they understood that it’s needed to be a baseline.
From there, you don’t even need to skill deceptive evasion, which was in fact one of the worst trait. It allowed the enemy to follow the Mesmer.
But playing a Mesmer without I.P forced you to use D.E. Mesmer Damage was somehow Weak.
From the point of view that you could only burst light armored, berserk player. Meeting true team with people playing with some toughness and intelligence, you were not competitiv enough. With those change even shatter can now be used as defense and offense. This is not a nerf, they buffed the Mesmer in every way, and gave him now all viable build as possible.
You just need to know how and when to shatter.
it is a nice feature, there is no need to remove it. the problem is not the feature, the problem is the players.
