I have had all three gifts and only lacking the precursor (Zap) since just before the anniversary.
I will wait for the scavenger hunt/crafting because I still believe there is nothing LEGENDARY about RNG, credit card purchase, or gold farming.
I want to play GW2 to acquire a Legendary Weapon by doing legendary things. The other three gifts could be earned by doing so. It’s time for the Precursor to be acquirable through legendary deeds also.
Because I don’t recall this in any of the Lore:
Legend tells of the legendary exploits of the legendary first king of Ascalon slaying the same village of Charr 10,000 times so that he could amass enough gold to buy the precursor to the great flaming sword from the peasant who happened to have found it on a wolf he slew while protecting his farm.
It’s not RNG. They spawn in a set rotation with three types of events and then the champions within their slot.
I also was missing this champion since he spawns last in the rotation. I simply picked a tower and did its rotation. It took about 45 minutes to cycle through and finish the achievement.

SR on last crystal allowed me to take my time and set up for the run of phase 2.
I stacked poison and bleeds then kited her.
Steal gave more stealth for more bleeds.
The mini is sweet but having finally won is far sweeter! Don’t give up.

Livia is Shining Blade, possessor of an artifact of Orr and way too smooth for simple graffiti.
I would look elsewhere for the true identity of Scarlet. None the less I would like to see a GW2 version of arguably the most dangerous, sultry and smoldering female of GW1.
Treenado Lady is easier with S/P and Thieves Guild. You can stun lock her with pistol whip for a while, while your thieves pound her. When the tornadoes start sword 2 gets you back in the action fast.
But as far as beating Liandri, I’ll keep trying until the event is over but only with tickets that come to me free. I won’t support things that favor the well computered or luck spawn with my hard earned money.

And that is how she can be so fickle about extra bosses, butt camera, and other sudden glitches against players not so “Logan in love” with her.

Neither require all that much skill and both have the same failing of purposely favoring high end computers, fast net connection, and proximity to servers.
The clock tower would lag to the point of being dead before loading.
Liandri’s Shadow Fall has killed me many times while I see my toon a safe distance from the red circles. Not to mention the fps absolutely tanking when the Zerg moves under your arena.
Requiring high monetary output for maxed gaming machine, highest possible net speed and possible global move is not a casual game and flys in the face of the manifesto once again.
Jenna has no heir. Killing her would throw Kryta into mass chaos further weakening the human race. Ergo human pc’s would want to see her live.
But feel free to kidnap and torture her a bit. Probably make her a better, more sympathetic ruler.

Fast forward to GW2 where only your opponents are clued in to your WvW experience and your “teammates” don’t know your prestige level but just have to accept you for your current actions.

I definitely agree that dual wielded weapons should alternate hands on auto attack at the very least.
But two different weapons would have too many purposes to animate. Such as the S/D set the off hand dagger or Main Gaughe would have been more defensive until distance was closed within sword reach. And a shield bash compared to a light hammer or mace off hand would be quite different.
Basically you are looking at more animations and specific situation uses for off hands than what you originally posted if you really want to get down to realism.
And just as a side note “Hand and a Half” Sword is another historical name for the large sword with the filtered name.
Is it a coincidence that a short time after the demise of Zhaitan enough magic was released/now enherent to fascilitate the expansion of Ascended items? Or is it planned lore from the Anet team?
If it is planned are we gonna see more access to Ascended/Legendary items with each slain Dragon?

1. Very few thieves use venoms, so up.
2. What thief needs a snare venom? Only dd ele’s can out run us and I’ve never seen one run away.

The armor and weapons from both Jade (love the Canthan influence there) and the new antagonists rock.
Lastly the two new npc’s look and sound amazing! Hope their armor and weapons become available.
Diversity is key in team condition composition. My typical team is Thief (poison), Ranger (burning), and Engineer (bleeds). They are all balanced builds that put on their conditions then go to damage/Crit.
No this is not min/maxing play style that would be needed for tPvP. But t works great for EVERYwhere else. And that shows me the change is most needed for PvP to be split.
Ya I agree you can run with five Necros if you want, but why? All sports, businesses, life thrive on diversity. Guaranteed loss= 5 point guards… 11 quarterbacks… 9 pitchers… however many goalies… You get my point.

now i sit here and GoM is 100k points ahead of ET and FC, i feel bad because we out number them so much. Even our PvE players are now band-wagoning in….face smashing doors while standing in AC fire and still being able to get into things through sheer numbers, i die a little in side.
I kind of think this is a good thing. A lot of pure PvEers are afraid of WvW and getting their feet wet might help your server’s general WvW population.
I’m on FA and WvW 3-4 times a week but my guildies were deathly afraid because every time they went in some TC Zerg would melt them before they even rendered the attackers. Nothing liking getting killed by a sea of red names to demoralize a player.
The new match ups have allowed them to see some varied tactics and survive more often than not instead of hiding in a Zerg hoping a bigger Zerg wasn’t around the corner portal bombing.

You cut the population in half and you’ll only have diehard WvW participating. It will not spread players to other servers. I WvW 2-3 hours a week max. If there is a que, forget about it.
Besides WvW is designed for the casual also. The PvEer who wants a little PvP light experience. Reduced populations would completely exclude them.

From a small guild perspective this sounds like hubris. Maybe your guild needs to be capping something worth more points and possibly defending it a bit?
But I agree with the unclaiming choice needing to be implemented. If it is tactically necessary we should have that option.
Just be happy you got something other than flowers and shells. 20+ crates later and I’m full up on both.

What happened to “I free a town it stays free?” The camp right behind the Queen should never suddenly fail and be overrun with a mob zerg when the Queen spawns if this is still Anet’s Manifesto.
The Legend of the Credit Card until Legendaries are account bound on creation.
The idea of Karka mystically appearing out of thin air is ludicrous. Not to mention the tremendous lag it produces having max players/partical effects going off then suddenly add an unknown number of spawns. I say unknown because the culling doesn’t even render most of the Karka, I only see masses of suddenly downed players.
Another thing Anet needs to do is test these events on average machines that most of their player base are using. Not everyone can lay down ten grand for a gaming machine. I don’t mind a difficult fight if I can at least see the rendered opponent and react without slide show effect.

The magic number in GW2 is 5 players. All Training Missions and T1 should be doable by 5 level 80 exotic geared players.
Any guild larger than 5 can’t truly play together unless they are WvWing or rampaging Orr. Even then you can’t chat unless you have a commander in WvW and only with non game comms in other places.
No. Not even a matter of fair or not fair, Hall of Monument rewards are there for a reason and considering people still play GW1 and can still earn the rewards, if you want HoM stuff I suggest you play some GW1.

Back on topic I understand why daggers get so little love. Who wants to spend so much time painting on such a little canvas. Also why we have so many shiny great swords.
Veterans are susceptible to all cc’s. You should be rocking his world as much or more than he is rocking yours. My personal fav with vets is blind but I’m a thief.
I predict some free and some gem store items just like all the events so far.
What I’d really like to see is a cumulative reward adding on to HoM ranks and year(s) in GW2. I know not fair to non GW1 players but (add your favorite “life’s not fair” shot here) many devoted fans/players continue to support after many years with Anet.
I would also add JP’s as being necessary in the quest. They are new, prolific, and not used in any other aspect of Legendary creation. Plus they feel perfect for a Precusor. Find a puzzle that fits each specifically.
Look to the Moa Chick of GW1. The quest was doable but lengthy and across all maps (4) of GW1.
1. It required unique and deadly situations. Seriously who in their right mind would purposely get hit by the Forgeman’s molten dump?
2. It required interesting play. Dipping the egg in a stream that you can easily see but “can’t get there from here” half hour treck.
3. And most importantly I didn’t have to farm 250 of anything!
The real bummer is only access to amulets and rings in WvW.
FA has a lot of PvEers that are enjoying the large amount of rare+ drops in Southsun right now.
Plus I watched another TC/DB Zerg say hello to one another then go in separate directions in FA BL. We know what you are doing.
Reminds me of siege turtles from GW1. Really why not the juggernauts came back as golems so why not mobile siege yaks?
The MF dagger has a nice lightning animation to it if you are just looking for partical effects.
The quest for a Legendary is supposed to be legendary. Right now you have to run WvW for x2 stack badges, some dungeon for x2 stack item, and world completion for playing across the game.
Everything else is farming anywhere you want to buy the t6, lodestones, ectos, and precursor. Why shouldn’t at least one more of those encourage more actual game play instead of farming?
The areas of play left out in current Legendary quest are sPvP and JP’s. These need a portion in the quest somewhere.
Be tough to enforce your fee and I’d hate to charge up front which opens you up to scamming “take the money and run” situations. But I don’t see any reason not to say “10s for portal” and hope they mail it to you after.
I would wish upon a star (or BLChest, just as numerous) that Anet would make enough profit to buy themselves out from under NCSoft and get back to doing what they do best; making a great and successful game that is fun to play from all perspectives without the MONEY GRUBBING.
I’d sure like to hear an official response considering Anet is involved in interstate electronic transmission of funds and or services with regards to games of chance which is the legal definition of Internet Gambling as governed by US law.
Yea Vol I see where you think you are going. But content completely gated by gambling is far different from your knee-jerk anti religion rant.
I am simply offering a different perspective on having so much material only available by gambling in a game that doesn’t have an Internet gambling license.
