My advice is always use ranged weapons. If kitten hit the fan u have a head start with running like hell.

I can see maybe having heroes or henchmen in story mode for a dungeon for those that like lore or don’t want to have to deal with all the zerker gear meta builds out there but not for anything else

I hear Obama plays a thief because the stealing aspect is a lot like his job. The pope is also trying to get Anet to bring back the monk.

Wouldn’t surprise me if 98% of the free accounts are existing players trying to find ways of using those accounts to improve their mains.

I wish they would add a gem store or something similar to GW1. The way they have their store now it’s impossible to buy anything without a credit card.

I think they did good on the restrictions but I disagree with unlocking squad chat at level 30. If you are showing a friend around the game before he buys it you shouldn’t have to use local chat and whispers to communicate.

Also I think they shouldn’t call it a free account. With all the restrictions its nothing but a free trial. Also with all the things us veterans have done over the 3 years there are things that the free to play accounts will never get so there’s no point in being upset.

Don’t know if you thought of this but if u use a smartphone as a hotspot the game usually uses around 20MB a hour (yep im surprised too). I have actually tested this out in different places in the game.

I would be happy if Anet released the skins to those who have them unlocked but had the skins destroyed.

Is anyone running on Windows 10, and if so what has been your experience? I’m on the fence about jumping boat so early but it seems there is at least working Nvidia drivers and I’m only playing this game at the moment anyway.

it works quite well for me

my GPU is running cooler than normal (only 70 degrees C compared to 82 before on wndows 8.1)
and FPS is up 15fps (running at 97fps instead of 82). i play on highest settings

so thats a good sign that my GPU can handle more than it could before now.

and windows 10 is to credit for that, being ALOT smaller than windows 8.1 in processor and RAM usage.

there are a few bugs yes, takes some tiem to get used to

but i’m happy with it!

Noticed the same thing on my comp.

I think the reason players say to put them away is so they dont aggro mobs. I myself love to play my minion master necro and never listen to players when they tell me to put them away cause that would severely screw up my build.

Got a question for everyone. For a player that needs tokens for a legendary what does one have to do to get a gorup if the LFG tool doesnt work? there really isnt a point to buying full zerker gear just for a few runs especially if that player isnt used to using zerker.

If the LFG tool went down then people will just use Map Chat like before it was implemented. You can also join a guild that doesn’t mind what gear you have.

Regardless, you’re eventually going to have to play in a group to get those tokens (unless you can solo dungeons or outright buy the legendary)

By LFG tool not working i mean I try to make a group but nobody joins for 1+ hours. Also im pretty sure guilds frown upon members joining long enough to get tokens then dropping them.

I think Anet needs to hear this more. Ive also played many games and this is by far superior to anything on the market so far.

if anything with legendaries needs to change it should remove dungeon tokens. With everyone asking for experienced zerker gear its hard to get a run especially when dungeons are all u need for legendary. Also PvP tracks dont provide u with enough tokens for a legendary

PvE has a storyline which give my character a reason to do what it is doing. There is no practical reason lore wise for characters to be in PvP or WvW.

You could fix your problem in so many ways. Post your own lfg, or join a guild that is active in dungeon runs, or just get your gokitten zerk gear. But instead of doing any of that you prefer to sit and complain about the toxic comunity.

You were most likely kicked because you lack experience. My advice is to watch some youtube guides and try to improve.

Watching youtube does not make u experienced unless everything on the video is exactly how it is in the dungeon. Also i doubt its the experience since i got booted before we even entered the dungeon.

I am in full support for the OPs idea. Last saturday I got kicked from 10+ groups because i didnt have zerker or wasnt experienced. That also includes group I have started. last minute 3 members decide they want an all zerker party and kick other 2 out. I dont see a point in paying money to buy a zerker set just to run enough dungeons for 500 tokens for a legendary. Also looked into multiple ways of buying it and its all too expensive.

A- Achievement point dont mean jack. Players can have 20k and still not know how to play their class (i’ve seen it before)

B- Inviting players w/o a certain gear type isnt the end of the world plus the ammount of time it takes to find a full squad with a certain type u could probably run 2 dungeons.

C- Since when was 3rd party stuff ok.

I wish i can find a physical copy since i dont have a credit card and dont want one.

Everquest does the same thing with their expansions and they are ar expansion 17 or 18. Everyone on that game seems to be fine with it.

I want a physical copy cause there’s no way for me to buy a digital copy. Don’t have a credit card and don’t want a credit card. I looked into the gift card route and most sell in increments of $20, $50 and $100 and I don’t want to spend $100 just to buy kitten digital copy.

If you trashed the skin before the wardrobe changes came out, you can get the skin again, just send a ticket with proof of your achievement.

I lost my Teq wings due to a bug and sent a screenshot of my achievement and their response was that they cannot return them because its against their policy.

Someone shouldn’t have to buy new gear just to do enough dungeons to get 500 tokens

Get zerker gear. kicks 50% reduced. It’s not really expensive.

I agree with this. There is no reason why there cant be merchant stands that dont sell stuff to players and is only for looks. Also would be funny if u have a couple npcs walk around and try to pickpocket players out of a few copper at most.

Flutters you can buy season 2 at any time and it will be ready for you when you reach 80.

I believe Anet is doing a good job with the LS and if a player cant log in for the 5 seconds it takes to collect the LS during the 2 weeks its live then they deserve to pay the gems for it. No reason why players who took time off the game should have the same benefits as those of us who played this whole time.

I actually had Teq wings that were deleted from my bank due to a bug and when I got a reply on the ticket all they said was it was against their policy to return the item. So I hope it works out for you better than it did for me.

Would be hilarious if they put outhouses in open world. Also if they make it so u get a speed boost by using it and if a player tips it over while you are inside you get a condition that makes all attacks on mobs show out of range.

The only thing that matters with what world you are in is WvW. With PvE you play with players of all worlds and I believe it is the same with PvP. With WvW you play with your server. If you wish to join a full server there are times of the day that there may be some open slots. Right now I would choose any server to try out and if you wish to change servers you can do so for free by deleting all your chars but make sure you put valuables into your bank so they dont get permanently deleted.

I think it would be cool to have the leader have the ability to have mobs attack the base or random times mobs attack the base. The amount of mobs and their difficulty would be determined by the number of members the guild has.

Has anyone thought that the money that the expansion costs isnt just what comes on the disk but also the LS that comes after the HoT story? Thinking that way i think the xpac is worth the money also there is 1 thing players have gotten wrong is that we aren’t getting 1 map we are getting 1 area which can be 4 or 5 maps as well as maps we will get for the LS.

All of the expansions for the original Everquest comes with the core game and all the expansions before which they are now up to 16 or 17 and for some that is with a sub fee. After looking at their forum the 1 thing I don’t see is players upset with the price. And most of their expansions are a few maps and maybe 5 new levels. I’m waiting for an Anet employee to come in and say that they will lower the price to $20 but you will have to pay a sub and then see how many complaint we get for that. We still don’t know everything that is going into the xpac and I think if you are truly a GW fan you will get off you high horse and pay the money cause looking at the other MMOs that are out now this game could be a whole lot worse.

What would be cool is if they took a npc with the name “Lionguard” and added the player’s name to it with some dialogue.

Whatever he used I think he died trying to get to the next level on Candy Crush Saga or maybe Farmville.

I’m not big on the name either so i will forever call the lighthouse Bob. Its a much better name than Phoenix Roost.

Is it me or does it seem kind of weird that the strategy guide is in the store? One would think after the game has changed so much it would be rather useless today.

I hope they do something to remember Cobiah Marriner. Even though this may not be the LA that he built it still has the idea that all races can live together.

It was stated in the novel Sea of Sorrows that there was a chapel on an island away form LA because they were concerned how the other races would react it being in LA. It turned out that all the races actually helped build it. Well it is possible that the chapel was destroyed either during the karka attack or Scarlett’s attack so it is possible that they are rebuilding it inside LA.

I think it would be really cool if there was a storyline where an elder dragon sends a champion into the past and we need to preserve the present by going back and fighting battles that took place in the novels. They could also make battles from the novels fractals.

I can see Furlings being Asuran. Never did get to see what they look like.

I think they should take some that they did for GW1 and put them on GW2.

I believe a Gaile Gray stated in a thread that beta testers will be the players who got drops and the newsletter. I imagine a lot of players have given up on getting one which is why they decided to also go with the newsletter.

So as you can see, being a newsletter subscriber has a dual benefit: You increase your chances of getting into the beta test, and you receive direct communication about the test and its schedule.
