I wish they had more than 1 JP per map, and it didn’t have to be extremely difficult… just silly, maybe long, and fun to play. I love Sharkmaw Caverns, it’s ellusive.
There are four jumping puzzles in Caledon Forest, three in Lion’s Arch and three in Diessa Plateau. Two in Southsun. Of course some maps don’t have one at all, but there isn’t just one per map.
I meant the new ones.
There are two in Auric Basin and two in Tangled Depths. More if you count all the things that require jumping and have chests at the top, but don’t have achievements attached to them.
They’ve had plenty of suggestions ignored. This is just a money making mill mmo.
Logically, wouldn’t you say they would make more money if they didn’t ignore suggestions?
The response from the devs to this question will likely arrive at about the same time as the new map :p
Unbound magic is the currency of all of ls3, so it will probably still be used in the next map.
Wow, it only took 60 posts to convince people that it’s obviously not intended.
I also added a comparison of Hal to the original post: Hal the HeremitAnet said they changed the schedule from 2 weeks between each Living Story episode to 2-3 months in order to ensure the quality. And actually they should have gotten more experienced over the years. But we’ve got longer breaks and the quality is even worse now. Great!
Where did anyone here say you convinced them of anything?
Caudecus could never blend in just by using a total makeover kit.
He’d also need a name change contract.
Just like Sya..
Also I didn’t find anything about total makeover kits in the lore yet, Sya is supposed to use Mesmer abilities.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Aid_Worker_Sya
There could be any number of reasons the NPC changes appearance:
1. Could be LS3 related. NPC really looks unique, but uses magic tricks to appear like varying common NPC’s to fool others.
2. Someone messed up the code. There may be references to NPC’s with random appearances. And someone accidentally put in a reference to a randomly changing NPC.
3. Could be intentional for the reason of the character can’t decide on what they want to appear like. Total makeover kits are canon.
You’re assuming it’s #2. That’s why people are saying you’re reacting without information. And for most of us, your reaction is more than should be for the appearance of a random NPC that most of us likely don’t register looks one way vs another. It doesn’t impact the game’s playability. It’s not a bug that halts the process of getting a legendary’s precursor that has been reported well before the precursor collections were made and yet something relies on that bug not happening.
1. It also happens to the asuran researchers. I think they’ve got enough to do, why should they fool others?
2. Yes, that’s what I’m saying.
3. I need a source on the makeover kits. Sya uses mesmer magic to change her appearance.
Plus they’re changing with every change to the map instances. That’s why I’m completely sure that it’s a technical thing or lazyness (or time).
And it doesn’t have to be a ‘progress’ bug to be worked on? It’s part of the story, the lore and the map doesn’t work as it’s supposed to be. It’s their job to fix it, no matter what kind of bug it is.

Then you aren’t looking hard enough. I’ve honestly never seen a game that was less of a mess.
Npc #347 has fainted from exhaustion
Cheesecake, I choose you!
Have you ever seen an npc change appearance right in front of you? Have you ever noticed an npc’s appearance altered at all while you were in that map, without changing maps or logging off? I have a sneaky suspicion that the only time an npc looks different is because it’s a different instance. Therefore a different plane of existence. Therefore not even a little immersion breaking.
Since when are different map instances different planes of existence? You’re mixing up gameplay with lore. Map instances do not exist in the GW lore. They’re just there because of technical limitations of our game.
And why is it so hard to acknowledge a problem with GW2? There are so many people defending Anets intention of a thing I would call lazy work or a bug. Give me a reason why they shouldn’t do anything about it.
Why are map instances a technical limitation of the game and the progress of events in different map instances a technical limitation of the game and the inability to interact with other real life players across different map instances a technical limitation of the game, but how an npc looks across different map instances can’t just be written off as a technical limitation of the game?
Ever noticed how when a map starts closing and you have to switch, all the events that you just did aren’t done anymore? Pretty sure alternate reality is the only way that makes sense.

The truth is, every npc works for Anet. So every little thing Anet tells them to do is a job. The dialogue is a job. The statue loving is a job.
The npc in the other instance is a different npc, obviously.
You’re right.
Sometimes I just want to travel to a volcanic island in the middle of the ocean to have a nice conversation with my old pal, npc #347. Then I get there and his hair color is brown instead of blond, AND he changed his clothes. It breaks my heart as well as my immersion :’(
As far as bags go, open them on a low level character. The most profitable level isn’t always the same, but https://silverwastes.loltools.net/index.html tracks it
;_; this year!? but this is more than 2 months from now
And then anet will have “broken their promise” and we would all be forced to rage quit, am I right?
You can if you want. I play the game that’s in front of me, not the game I get told is coming in the future.
So, rage quit? Probably not. Cheesecake break? Definitely.
~EW
It’s not that I want to rage quit. It’s a question of honor and stuff.

I’ve gotten 1 fragment during one mad king says and the other 2 for that day 2 hours later. Where does it say you can only have one participation per account per day?
No current event update. Just meh.
There were lots of light armor skins, weapon skins and gliders in the store last time I checked. Wonder what happened to them all…
Are you REALLY suggesting that he should have purchased just any skins / gliders? You HONESTLY didn’t know what he was talking about?
I REALLY suggested that, and I HONESTLY didn’t know that. Cross my heart and hope to die.
It just makes no sense to me…I was ready to drop $50, but instead ESO will be getting that money…
And when they do return to the gem store, I may be playing Revelation Online then, and will probably not notice they have returned.
I just don’t see the logic in removing items from gem store.
So the ESO store has those exact items? Or will you be spending your money there on completely different items as some sort of “protest”? I don’t see the logic in that.

Saving the City of Gold: doing Octovine 100 times and winning.
You can always make that one go faster by using them looting squads to switch maps for multiple wins in a row.
Most of the squads even unknowingly assist you with it, by shouting out the progress of each map.
Hey, Mordremoth was the jungle. We killed a jungle. No mod in the world can get rid of that one.
Not a single tree was killed, unless that thing at dragons stand count as a tree… even so, we didnt technically kill it, it was killed by slapping its face on a rock.
Blighting trees are trees too. 3 of those in dragon’s stand, plus others.
Yeah but the trees where dead before.
Whatever helps you sleep at night, you monster.

Confront your fears. Only then will you know peace.
Well they are, i don’t want to gather wood in this game it feels wrong.
Then don’t gather wood. You’d rather pretend the wood doesn’t exist?
It’s unlikely these trees will feel any pain from being cut, being pixels and all. You shouldn’t feel bad.
I don’t really care about exclusivity of the items, but I would support cash only shop for items/gold. I need gold and I’m sitting on bunch of gems but I’m not dumb to exchange at current rate. As a result I’m grinding for gold, I have no use of gems and I’m not going to buy gems again anytime soon as a result. If Anet cannot solve this they should allow 3rd parties instead of banning them.
Plus gold to gems transactions should be final to avoid flipping.Btw I always interested if Anet has a license for gambling? Buying gems for $ and selling Black Lion keys is pretty much gambling regardless if it’s straight $ or slot machine tickets (gems). I think all RNG items should be eliminated from $ shop if there is no such license.
You have to have a license to gamble?
If you want leather, you can farm it yourself (best targeted method is Orr event chains) or sell other materials and buy it from the people who are farming it.
Game economies exist because you are not expected to be able to supply all of your own demand because this is a multiplayer game.
It’s ArenaNet’s fault for having such a low droprate of the item in the first place. They have to solve this issue. The worst part of the leather is that you need it to reach 500 in armorsmith. The price discourage people from even wanting to level it up. This results in a bad image for the game and for the company and their decisions.
Leather can not be collected from nodes like iron, wood or plants. That’s a huge misstep. Why can’t it be gathered directly from dead animals?
If they let us gather leather from dead animals the economy of leather would be normalized. It would also add one more harvesting item in the gem store for them to sell and increase the company’s income. If they can’t add this within 1 year they have failed as a company.
They just added a leather node to the guild hall for you to farm. You’re welcome.
It already exists. It’s called Perfect Imbalance. Its ever-changing effects helps keep the game interesting.
~EW
You should be a politician.
Or, actually, you shouldn’t – we really don’t need any more of that type of whataboutery.
Imbalance isn’t “interesting”, it’s just bad design.
Yes, it would be much more interesting if the winning tactics never changed.
I thought they were done with quarterly patches.
When did they say this?
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Living-World-Season-Three
Hot is heart of thorns. The next arc can’t also be hot. We have to call it something else. Like LoF. Lungs of Flame. That’ll work.
I expect fire breathing dragons.
Well the things are just going to get Hotter as Primy gets closer to full awakening. So it is not Heart of thorns any more but Hot.
1. He’s already fully awake.
2. Calling the entire story arc “hot” because you expect the temperature to increase is incredibly unimaginative.
Looks like someone does not get the joke.
Why so serious when the name Guild Wars 2 Hot is a joke name and reference to how Season 3 is heading to Primordus which he is themed as the Elder Dragon of Fire and Fire is Hot. When you shorten the name “Heart of Thorns” into just the first letters of each word then it will spell the word “Hot” which is where the Joke name comes from.
it is like how people use to joke about Guild Wars Eye of the North when they called it GWEN which reference to Gwen returning in GWEN.
(H)eart (O)f (T)horns (T)he (E)nemy®ises?
Or TEPID? (The Emerging Primorus Incursion Dilemma)
Or event WARM? (War Against Revived Mursaat)
This guy gets the joke.
I did lof, though I’m sorry I did. Jormag obstinately killing everyone wouldn’t have been more obvious than this “joke”

It’s the mouth of Mordy. His physical body that can be destroyed and remade more than once due to magic and fictionyness
because they are designed around an entire guild contributing towards them
Out of 500 members there are maybe 10 people that contributes just a little bit. Everybody is greedy. Gw shouldnt ask this much for the upgrades really
Though only 10 people contributed, all 500 will get use out of those upgrades. That there are 490 greedy people in your guild is Anet’s fault?
Because they’re worth it?
Sounds like a personal problem
You say this now but just you wait. Down the road you’ll have the option to trade a bajillion minor runes for an entire set of Legendary armor and then what will you do? You’ll be begging for more minor runes, that’s what.
Okay, my next questions would be how many people in your guild had access to those valuables and how long did someone have to be in your guild for you to let them have the option of taking things you didn’t want them to have?
Can it still be called theft of you gave him the permission?
I thought this was about Charged Quartz Crystals which are Account-bound, not Quartz Crystals, which can be purchased, and thus are not really time-gated.
<cough, cough> grow lamp <cough cough> 35 gold <cough cough>
I’ve never made grow lamps to sell. Are they more profitable than the ley line tools?
Next week then. Coolio
I did find a post on page five of the “Dev quotes from Reddit” thread mentioning they might bundle LS3 with the next (summer) quarterly update. I guess that’s relevant.
I thought they said it LS3 wouldn’t start till after Raid Wing 3 was out.
Raid Wing 3 will be out this month, more than likely.
Really?
I can see Raid Wing 3 coming with the summer quarterly update, and LS3 coming the quarterly patch after that. I can see LS3 being held off until the autumn/winter patch, whenever that might be.
Really really. I have a distinct memory of a source for my prediction, though I can’t for the life of me locate that source atm.
I thought they said it LS3 wouldn’t start till after Raid Wing 3 was out.
Raid Wing 3 will be out this month, more than likely.
I can think of a dozen different reasons I’ve had for doing fractals one day or another.. You said yourself that you run them every day. Who exactly needs another reason?
Maybe because the fractal dailies are already more rewarding than all the other dailies put together.
