well, don’t forget “X on interrupt” traits, which on the greatsword would be … 5. (though I agree with you, it’s not nice if it’s messing with others, and should be avoided.)

More weapons and armor be earned in game

…just a reminder, since it seems forgotten in this discussion: you can purchase gems for gold. This means that any “gem” store item is available through gameplay, because anything you do earns gold, which converts to gems, which purchases gemstore items.

So, yeah, I can see “it would be great to get it as a drop for X”, but “unfair, gemstore items not available through gameplay” is not really such a valid complaint, yo.

Doubled outfit?

FWIW, support were happy to swap an unlimited gathering tool for me when I bought the wrong one, totally by being dumb. They asked me to destroy the old one on the ticket, I did, and they sent me the replacement. Hang on to it until they ask, though!

So if you have another outfit you want instead of the same value, you could ask for a swap too.

A Lack of Solo Content

Good! What you call out as a problem is, I think, one of the greatest strengths of GW2.

When you provide gated “showing off my awesome” content, it also provides a direct attraction to the sort of people who want external validation to be happy in the game. If people don’t look at them and admire their widget, they get sad, and they share that around.

Heck, if it gets too easy, they do that — go look at the complaints about how “not legendary” legendary items in WoW felt to people, and the degree of salt about it, because it wasn’t exclusive enough any longer.

It’s better to seek players who have an intrinsic motivation, such as “I enjoy the challenge of beating raids”, or “I enjoy pvp, win or lose”, than players who look for things they can show off so others know they are better at something than other people.

Less players and a happier, healthier community without the disruptive minority is a win for us all — even if it means we have to give up some shinies for it. Sorry, my skritt.

Coding Quality of Life

As a software developer on something with way more daily users than GW2, I can assure that there is almost no relationship between how “obviously easy” something is to fix, and how actually easy it is to fix, at scale, in a live system with millions of users.

Remember, too, that things like item conversions have a cost. Over five million accounts, if one hundedth of one percent have a problem during conversion that causes data to be lost, that is still 500 support tickets to be triaged and fixed. That isn’t free (and, uh, doesn’t exactly make you popular when that happens.)

(and that’s doing this over way more than one DB server, so “use transactions”, etc, are really, really not as trivial as they sound here.)

So, yeah, it’s likely better to assume that if something isn’t fixed it is because “cost to fix” is greater than “value generated by fixing”, rather than that the devs hate you, or are incompetent.

Came here to report the same thing; thanks so much for being public about these. It saves me wondering if it has been noticed.

FWIW, I found that shiro revenant (during levelling) was incredibly squishy, and the healing daggers thing not very good. It improves when you can start to trait, eg, life steal on sword, but … still poor.

Switching to another legend for better healing (and spinning hammers on dwarf) can be a huge boost to your not dying early on.

When you get the herald elite, it’s a whole different ballgame, but self-healing can really feel patchy before that. It’s also worth having a hammer on hand while levelling because kite and hit at range can be useful while, eg, waiting for healing CD to come up, etc.

Also, don’t forget that legend switch gives a second healing skill that doesn’t share a cooldown, so you can do two healing things back to back if you must…

Electromagnetic Glider skin

…And just today this glider is again on the market, for six more days. I just bought myself a few minutes ago

….I’m sorry. I was just thinking “well, the only way anet would get more of my money right now is to put the eletromagnetic glider skin back on the market” and, bam, six hours later the store lists it.

PS: I’m definitely not thinking “the only way to get more money would be to offer shared equipment slots for gathering tools so I can usefully share the gemstore eternal gathering items” now.

Try jumping into the displays option in OS-X “System Preferences”, and turning off “Automatically adjust brightness”, and see if that helps things. If it does, it could be an issue with the ambient light sensor hardware on your machine…
