We had 15 out and put it this way you had twice as many minimum. Not saying it was all HB, but thats the main tags we saw, and if youre all running together then you cant turn around and say it was 18.

we had more on when we were roaming in JQ bl. Our numbers then were 25-27 throughout most of the night. That said, we had only 1-2 pugs following us most of the time, as we were trying to get some gvg open field fights with RG, and we didnt move out untill most or all pugs had left us alone.

Anytime your team wants to dance NA prime time, come and get it. You use strats similar to WM in open field, and while we workshopped a counter to it, WM left before we could try it out. Eager to see how it fares!

It’s going to be the PRX/RG show now. Until they decide to move on again. Same thing happened in SoS. Its how well you do after they leave which makes all the difference.

HB are the new PRX in terms of massive numbers steamrolling through you the way they do with culling.
PRX are not a shadow of what they used to be. Still solid, but nowhere near what they used to be before the euro move.
And if HB come saying they only run 20 people (and i mean on the field not your guild alone) im calling shenanigans on that, its a minimum of 30+ always :P

The only time we have 30+ on is at reset, and then we always try to have atleast 1 5 man group seperated from the rest. Also we run without commander icon most of the time to avoid pugs following us. We usually field 20-25, and late night we only field around 15.

Good fights tonight Agg. I guess you took some revenge. It was to bad we got into BG bl that late, and even we couldnt get all of our 18 guys inside BG bl. Think we still had 4 in q when we decided to call it at 6 am here. Even with the backup of a few pugs, we just didnt have the numbers to take you head on. Gonna try and meet you guys again tomorrow. Hopefully we´ll meet you sooner when we still have some numbers on to face you

Thanks for the fights RG. No doubt about you guys have alot more experience doing GvG than we do, and we have alot to learn on this part. It was a learning experience, and we will try and look over our footage, do some testing, adapt and try again. The open field fights seemed a more ballanced, and that is where we got our experience, and what our gear and specs are build around. That said we did have more numbers.

Good fight all around, and the best fights we´ve had in a long time. We will be there all week doing our best.

Also I hope more NA guilds will pick up this kind of fights and join us even after RG is gone.

Dear TSym – Come out and fight please. We are not going to have fun with you in a supply camp, next to your spawn with 20 ballistas set up. Get roaming, who knows you might end up having some fun. I hear that JQ will have some guilds out here doing the same.

Dear SoS. As much as I respect you guys trying to recruit, trying to do so, by directly sending mails to gm´s of the the current #3 server, that is already lacking coverage compared to you and JQ, is not only really low. But it will also hurt you in the end if you end up fighting 1 server instead of 2.

I hope you will consider this, and do your recruiting outside the top 2 NA tiers.

Good reset night, HB has earned the respect of my entire guild. I have to say, the only thing that stopped SoS from flipping Garrison again was that HB + BG group constantly hitting south and we were forced to draw our attention over there for all of the time HB was online. We (JQ) have a guy hanging out on our borderlands at Spiritholme (north supply camp) constantly using supply to build golems. When politely (or otherwise) asked to stop, he makes some complaint about Temple of Balthazar.

When we finally managed to get an upgrade through, a large group of Blackgate (Mostly HB) appear (literally RIGHT after the upgrade finished) and took the camp.

Now of course I can’t blame anyone, because he isn’t representing a guild. However, it is awfully troll like (though I guess since he is building golems he could argue “But i’m being useful!” as opposed to building rams). He ignores any requests to allow us to upgrade the camp (until that one time we managed to get an upgrade in before he could use 10 supply to keep the supply down).

In any case…if anyone is resorting to a tactic like that (having someone on an opposing server to clear supply to avoid upgrades). I’d just like to say, bad form. Very bad form. Poor sportsmanship, if that is what is really going on. I would say that if it was someone on my server doing it. I would CERTAINLY, if that person was in my guild, kick him immediately.

Anyway, just thought I’d mention it. If anyone wants to know his account name to check if he is in your guild, let me know in a PM and I can send it to you.

EDIT: His account name is quite literally evidence in itself that it is a troll, though I don’t want to post it in public here. He has been reported, however there really isn’t a proper category for this.

Heh, my guild ran into him when we went in to take the supply camp. We thought you guys were planning for an attack on hills. He is probably a BG troll. I heard they are aiming for you guys this week. Which makes sense since they are barely attacking us in your BL.

Didnt really see any JQ guilds worth figting ( no offense intended JQ ! ), so we tried roaming S to find and fight AGG and FoE. Had some really good clashes where we had to pull out our a-game. Thanks for the fun to both JQ and SoS. Those 3 way fights in garrison early after reset was pretty insane

We miss fighting TW as well. To be honest, I havent seen anyone in Tier1 bring the same level of open skirmish skill as you guys did. That said we have only been here less than a week, and are yet to fight alot of guilds. I know tonights will bring alot of good fights.!

I havent seen any familiar posters, or anyone from any of the big BG guilds mention 2v1 beeing an issue. We are aware that it is a part of the meta game, and we try to make the best of it. Anyone that says otherwise is either a troll or simply unaware of whats going on.
I suggest you just ignore them.

Tier 1 has been a blast for HB so far. We knew we would get alot of heat for our video, and we are loving every second of it.

Just heard that JQ finally got SM. Well done guys, but dont get to comfortable in there. I know someone with an army of 60 omegas just waiting for an excuse to be used

We don’t care about some random guild coming into tier1. Your job is to make us care by bringing it to us. So far all I have seen from HB is failed turtles. Don’t get me wrong, we are all enjoying all the loot bags.

Someone should have done the research before you guys reached T1 to determine that the turle tactic doesn’t work in this bracket. SoS defeated that tactic back when TL used to do it, which was before the healing nerf. Now, it is just LoL.

I really hope you guys get your strats together because I really don’t want to see SBI back here. They are the most boring server to fight against.

The Blackgate that showed up on Friday was amazing, it was one the strongest openings to a match up that I have ever seen. Not only that, SoS are ALWAYS first on the opening day, Blackgate are the first server in nearly 4 months to break this rhythm.

If the same Blackgate that showed up in the first 24 hours, showed up on the second day of the match up, the scores would be a lot closer. I do not understand, why the same people that logged in on Friday, didn’t login on the day after, and the one after?

It looks as though Blackgate have given up, it’s a shame because your server is far more capable than this.

Blackgate dont have coverage for full maps in any timezones, however on reset nights, EUs stay up late, NA´s log on early and our OCE and SEA crew log on in their morning so we can fill the maps and make it a night to remember. Throughout the rest of the week we got a couple of guilds for each non NA timezone, which have carried us so far. It is clear it aint enough for Tier1. I still see the same guilds out there every day as I did on friday. They are just spread out between all of the 24 hour schedule, where as on friday we were all playing together.

I’m going to keep it clean and be a good sportsman here but HB sure is making themselves look they talk a little too big for their britches with that video in Smokee’s signature. I’m glad you guys want to bring it to T1 and be #1, I’m sure everyone would agree that good competition is what makes pvp fun but gloating like you are in that video and then getting crushed is pretty bad. Also on a side note, let someone else make a tribute video to your guild otherwise it looks like you’re the attention starved kid saying, “hey guys, it’s my birthday so wish me a happy birthday. Hey guys! I said it’s my birthday so wish me a happy birthday! Guys?” Hopefully my advice is taken seriously and not as an insult. See you guys out on the battlefield.

When did HB get crushed? We are only a small part of Blackgate, and we stand by the statement that we work towards making Blackgate #1. We are making a difference on every map we enter, but we cant be on all maps, neither can we be on all the time.

HB aint backing down. With the exception of 3 hours during the early sunday hours, we´ve been out there in the field 24/7 during the weekend, and you will see us again tonight. I have said it before, and I will say it again. We are loving the fights we are getting. Please keep em comming.

Regarding Indos comment it is true that Blackgates strength and weakness is its coverage.
We got very few guilds that can field 20+, but alot of small guilds throughout the timezones. We as a server has taken steps towards making these more coordinated, and we have improved, partly thanks to SoR who forced us to improve. Tier 1 is a whole new ballgame, and we will have to adapt once again.

I hate both JQ and BG equally, both servers cant honor a duel. Always taunting. Even the so glorified HB runs in 5s and when you die 5vs1 to them you get laughed at, what a joke… you cant even try to tickle a 1n1 out of that guild its a brainless aoe zerg. BG as a whole im thoroughly disappointed. What kind of a server gives up after 1 1/2 days. I really miss SBI, at least they had decent roamers that would bow and duel you and showed some respect.

I am pretty sure no HB´s have laughed at you. If you still stand by your statement, please let me see a screenshot.

Regarding the matchup, I still think its to early to call out who has what coverage. Alot of people on all servers pulled of mulitple shifts during the weekend. Give the matchup some time to settle.

It looks like Blackgate is going to tier1 again. Its been a while, but after winning tier 2 for god knows how many weeks, I think we have deserved it.

@ Jahn – We do understand how the rating system works. We do also after reading your 20 posts understand that you want us to fucus TC cause you are afraid you might actually loose to TC. The thing is though, that alot on BG dont head out to WvW with the aim of maxing the score. We head out there to have some fun. Things are different when something is at stake, like the first week we were in Tier1. Reality is that facing a different enemy at this point will only slightly change our score, and that some people are resting and charging up their batteries for that first week in tier1, where we know sleeping wont be allowed.

@ TC and SoR ( including TW – yes I know you guys dont get much forum love.. ) great fights in TC Hills last night. We had one goal when we took down that outer gate, and that was to have some great 3 way fights inside, and for the next hour or so, that was what we had.

Amazing start for this week. I thought it was fun playing vs. FA/CD, but this is definitely far more enjoyable. TC is very proud to be the new member of Tier 2 WvWvW.

In SoR BL, TC ran into the garrison while BG and SoR were fighting and smashed into the back of BG forces wiping them with the help of SoR. I had a feeling they would not be too happy about that. Good Fun!

On a side note, I’m really impressed by BG’s guild HB, they are amazingly well organized, respond with ferocity, drop siege in seconds and have such a strong force for so few people.

Here’s to an enjoyable week in WvWvW. Over at TC we know we don’t have oceanic coverage to keep up with the higher populations of BG and SoR, but during NA primetime we can hand with the Tier 2 servers and give them a run for their money.

That said I think the breakout event is such a spoiler on a reset night. 80+ people shouldnt be able to get assisted by that guy and unkillable siege. After we killed him the second time and some epic fights in that tower, we decided to just let you have and start putting up preasure on SoR.

To sum it up.: Well fought TC, you are a nice addition to Tier2. !

I got 2+ mill karma on one character, and 1+ mill on another just by doing WvW. As a WvW player I would like to be able to spend my karma on something usefull for WvW ( Camp / keep upgrades or something. If not, then Anet should simply remove the Karma gains from WvW, since they are useless to us )

It probably wont matter because the Blackgate bandwagon got a lot bigger this week because instead of it being a fairly balanced match, now BG has 24/7 coverage with 75+ zergs in all four BLs.

I don’t know for sure, but it seems like IOJ dropped and BG got stronger … did a bunch of people from IOJ ragequit to BG?

Poor attempt at a trolling post mate. BG still has empty / outmanned maps, even in NA primetime. Yes we did get an influx of OCE guilds, but dont forget we lost some to SoS aswel.

If anything I see less SoR out there fighting than I did just a few weeks ago. Back then we could be sure to face 50+ LUN and the rest of the brazilians as soon as the clock hit 8 their local time. Now we are lucky to face 20 of them twice a week. Since your server is still full and I see you guys in LA overflow, I take it your guys are busy doing pve events.

Really looking forward to play against TC again. I remember them as some die hard players that always came out with twice the numbers when you wiped em, instead of leaving the map.

With the Euro transfers Fort Aspenwood got some weeks ago it surprised me that TC was able to keep first place, and it just goes to show how strong they are.

Actually we found ourselfs farming TW ( and other SoR ) badges just a few days ago in SoR bay for a few hours when they outnumbered us 3-1. Also I have never been able to “pvdoor” against SoR. Fact is you got some strong times and some weak times, just as any other server does.

BG got destroyed in Tier 1. They “may” make it up there again due to the points build up here but will most likely drop down the very next week, lol.

I wouldnt call that “destroyed” – That said we having fun in Tier2, though it would be nice to have some different enemies if only for one week.

Engineers are now listed next to thiefs and rangers in large scale WvW – Not wanted. Wonder what the next class will be?

Add to that, that Anet keeps removing WvW content instead of adding to it, and the fact that they keep countering the coordinated guild tactics to make the crying pugs happy, and you got yourself a game thats heading in the wrong direction.

When do game developers realise that they need to listen to the community and not just let some programmer that never played that game decide where it goes?

Arenat is obviously trying to remove any use of coordination and communication within the game. First it was the turtle, now this. What will be next.?

Using a third party voice com is considered a hack and will cause you to get banned?
Food buffs no longer works in WvW?
All players will get 1 set of gear to wear in WvW?
All players will get the same 5 skills to use in WvW?

Anet dont give a kitten about WvW or the players doing that. They have proved that over and over and over and over and over and …. you get it by now Best thing to do is just to laugh at their ignorance and not let it get to you.

HB were an EU guild, but 1½ month ago we started recruiting NA players ( mostly eastcoast ) to help fill a huge gap in the servers coverage. Dont think we have faced a server yet with even matched EST playerbase. They seem to be non existent on BG, so instead of looking for others to come help us, we decided to look at what we could do to help the server.
Today we manage to field around ~15-20 in EST prime which is only slighly less than in our EU primetime, so I guess you could say we are both EU and NA.

Its good to see RoS still got alot of fighting spirit. I still miss alot of players from the start of the game there

Indo if you spend as much time ingame fighting as you do on the forums, maybe SoR wouldnt loose as much.
