Grats little one. TW were one of the first NA guilds to not only rely on numbers, but instead try and do better at open field combat with less numbers. It is clear that you have a history in DAoC and WAR. It´s always been a blast fighting you in WvW, even though we rarely fight with even numbers.

We didnt ask for a 30v30 night, but for guilds to run 30 max or split up in more groups. HB have been 16-22 all evening. So far ONS is the only BG guild other than HB that signed up for it, and only if the scores wasnt to close. I am sorry that we didnt have more guilds signed up for it, but its partly my fault for making the post on the BG forum to late.

I will try and set it up again for next week.

They are in my offensive and defensive playbook, as well as a tool to move around faster when needed. HB wouldnt be the same without our mesmers. We have won so many fights because of them.

We do come out for fights when you run on your own and we have more than 15.

Right now we are running around with 18, trying to keep what we can with BG beeing outmanned in 3/4 maps. When you do form up that many that you cause skill lag we will port out of the map. Its not fun to play like that

and we have wipe guilds (HB/RK and others) and mega zergs over and over .. so .. yeah ..

the only guilds i know we have wiped to is RG but i would like to see your mega blob just get walked over by them

Some weeks Ive found myself logging of several times in EU time, cause there was nothing to do but pvdoor. Other weeks like this one, we get one fight after the other untill we have to stop and empty our bags. That is what you signed up for when you moved here. If you dont like it, I suggest helping out recruiting more EU guilds to NA servers. ( not to BG or SoR though.. )

Having SoR forces to fight on all 4 maps in EU time is just plain awesome. The hard part is to pick where to go now I hope you guys will keep on bringing it.

Sorry I wasnt able to answer the last post that got locked, but Ive been busy with work, and havent been on the forums for a week or so. There has been alot of trolling going on from IRON, but thats alright. I used to enjoy that game as well, but I guess Im getting to old for it.

Some of your posts still make me laugh though, so keep them coming – That said please loose the GIFs so the threads wont get closed.

I want to clear up a few things thats been said by people from both servers. First of all, HB aint something in the big picture. We form up 1-2 times a week in EU time, and then run around with 15-25. We are a small guild with less than 100 members spread between EU and EST timezone. About 25 of these are “part timers” as we like to call them, that have joined us from other guilds and only tag as HB when one of our commanders is on.

I usually form up in a public channel on the Blackgate TS and let pugs follow us around untill I get ~15-18 online. Then we move down into a pw protected channel that only HB members can enter.

I tag up just before fights if I want another commander to see my movement, or if I expect it to be a close fight and I want my guys to be able to follow me around easy. I rarely tag up to lead the pugs but it do happen if the ppt is close and I feel it can make a difference. I usually tag down again after 30 minuttes or so, since it gets to dull.

I usually seek out borderlands where other BG commanders is present, since it makes keeping away the pugs easier. Also we port around alot to loose the pugs. I would say atleast 20 times a night, but sometimes it feels like 20 times an hour.

HB have done 3 GvGs. One of which were vs. RG. We posted 5 or so months ago that we werent going to do it anymore, since it would require our members to get a second set of gear, plus alot of our members disliked the GvG.

Also a friendly request to the IRON members to stop spamming me pms ingame. Getting spammed by 20+ people makes me unable to read guild and map chat, and Im to kittening lazy to report you all.

With alot of good fights to be had, I thank you for the fights we already have had.

I had the pleasure of facing the SoR OCE and SEA guilds today. It was awesome to see them work as individual guilds on the same map, coordinating in some fights and hitting different objectives at other times. I would only whish that some of the SoR NA players and guilds would follow their example. It was a pleasure fighting you guys today!

That Agg/WARD/ACO group in SoRBL last night was one giant ball of hate. While it was not fun being on the receiving end of the abuse, I just want to say that was some of the best multi-guild coordination I have seen in awhile, both at Briar and Bay.

Before IRON, BG was the only server with EU with RK and HB, just fyi. For almost 4-5 months, if not longer.

You didn’t hear any of the whining from any other server that BG is putting up now.

Back then the SoR South American population was huge. Time difference between EU and the South Amaricans is just 2-3 hours. I still remember fighting 60+ LUN in EU prime.

Also we´ve been fighting EU guilds on both IoJ and SBI. VoTF were on NA servers for months and were a great challenge.

Besides we ( the EU guilds on BG ) are glad that more EU guilds are joining the NA servers. We are just not happy about them not joining the only server in a matchup without EU coverage. We want 3 way fights as we get in NA prime.

Also if you read one of my former replies you would know that Ive told BG not to recruit more EU guilds for BG, and that I would leave BG should it happen.

Last I want to congratulate you on beeing a somewhat succesfull troll. Its been years since I played that game, but you are doing a descent job at catching a few fools.

I think we can all agree JQ or even TC would have been a much better place to go for KISS and the 2 other small EU guilds that joined SoR. I have for as long as I remember told the other BG guilds at meetings and on the forums, that I didnt want another EU guild on BG as long as we were even close to even ppt. I hate pvdoor, and Id rather log out and do something else ( which Ive had to do from time to time ) than Id run around doing pvdoor.

Now I dont know if these guilds got recruited to SoR or what IRONs stand was on this, but if they got recruited I think it says alot about SoR and IRON.

I feel sorry for KISS however, they are in for some really borring WvW sessions. However now that you are here I welcome you to the NA servers. More EU guilds on the NA servers is nice, even if they choose the “wrong” servers. Looking forward to be fighting you in the borderlands.

First of all, grats on the 250K ! You and the rest of RG has always been a tough fight and I look forward to be facing you guys again in the next big game. After all its more fun to be playing against the best guilds out there, than to play with them.

HB is only back part time, and mostly just to find fights and have fun. That said it was a really good night tonight with alot of good battles in both EU and EST prime.

Most in JQ are fine with the turn of the tide. Some are taking a break and enjoying some PvE new content. The remaining in WvW are just making do with what numbers they have.

Was back for the first time in 4 months or so last night. Ran into some SF and Agg people, was good fun. Will be back a bit over the summer, hopefully with some more HBs. Looking forward to be fighting with and against you all again. Especially looking forward to some coordination with BT. It was nice to see they transfered to BG though Im gonna miss fighting them.

Tonight is a great night for Blackgate. After several tries, endless nights without sleep and comebacks by other servers Blackgate has made it to first place. Back when HB joined Blackgate the server were in Tier4, and we´ve seen the change the server and the game have gone through over the past 6 months.

Im glad that we picked BG back then, and Im proud to have been able to fight along side all the great guilds that are on this server. For me the journey ends here, but HB will still be going strong.

Its been an honor fighting with and against you all. A special shout out to TW and BT for bringing the best fights in NA, and to RG that showed us that they are the kings of open field fights.

Sadly EB has been nothing but map sized zergs the last week or so in NA primetime. Could be the guilds in there not skilled enough to run on their own, or maybe some guilds just made some builds around skill lag and are taking advantadge of it. Either way we seem to find way more fun fights in the borderlands.

You will never see HB and LotD run together and roam the map as one big blop. We do communicate alot and sometimes meet up to flank a map sized zerg, simply because the 15-20 HB or 20-25 LotD wont be enough on its own.

What we are trying to communicate is that there is 0 reason for any server to run around with map sized zergs when you have more than 1 guild on the map. It causes ability lag, culling and takes away the fun for anyone involved.

Like I said in a previous post, we do understand that you have to meet up to take heavely fortified and defended keeps. We are only talking about roaming here.

Talent is part of our small squad that you usually see out there looking for the smaller fights. Main team is 20-25 + 5 mixed scouts/defense to assist defensive non-SF players + 5 havoc that has the purpose of really only killing people + 10 secondary offense on our big nights. It’s non-value added to have everyone in one team for us, and we prefer to play toward personal strengths and not have everyone run as a big ball. Everyone enjoys different playstyles, so we try to cater to that regardless if it is painful or not. Most of my members computers lock up in the really really huge fights, so we try to see if we can do more with less as usual.

I wish more guilds and people would think like this. After all most of us play this game to have fun, and I think most of us can agree that playing with ability lag aint fun. Untill Anet comes up with a solution, we as the players and the community could go a long way fixing this, by not roaming around with full map zergs.

I have seen guilds that are fully capable of fielding 30-40 on their own, team up with other guilds fielding the same numbers only to roam around and kill. ( Last seen by Choo / LUN last night in EB. Big props to you guys for splitting up after we had a chat about it ! )

While I can understand that there is safety in numbers and winning is generally more fun than loosing, I can not understand why these guilds would want to win the open field fights at this price.

I know that you need more than 20 to take a fully upgraded keep, and I undertand that guilds team up for this. However we would see alot more “fun” open field fights if guilds would split after they have taken objectives, and go back to their own business.

Even before this weeks match started, we on Blackgate said that we expected JQ to win with 50-70K points this week. It has nothing to do with BG getting burned out, but us returning to our normal schedules instead of pulling out double shifts.

Did HB make the reset or did half get Q ganked again? Are you guys going to try and get some rest this week or hammer like you did last week? This is the first reset I bailed on in 3 months, that last 36 hours was just brutal.

We actually got all but 2-3 in at reset this time. Had some god co-op with KnT that helped push JQ of the map. I logged off around 4.30 am local time and had the people that remained follow an EA commander instead.

We will be back to our normal schedule and only do WvW 8-10 hours a day this week. We simply cant keep up last weeks schedule as our physical health would suffer

What an interesting week. Congrats to JQ on their comeback. BG had me there for a bit thinking they were going to win, but unfortunately some things don’t change. Once again they sleep at the wrong time, quit when down, and can’t get back into it. The fact SoR has more points than BG at this time is a bit sad.

If it’s true that BG has queues, then it goes back to my original point in how BG lacks skill and isn’t T1 material. Really, there is no excuse if you have two servers merge that have spent a lot of time in T1 and T2 to lose so embarrassingly.

As for 2v1… the only case in which I saw 2v1 was when we (BG) fought SBI and JQ. We were getting camped at our spawn. When I was playing, we killed equally as many BG and as we did JQ. In fact, during the later hours its more of SoR being 2v1’d because JQ and BG are trying to take our undefended objectives because everyone called it a night. Funny how they go around talking about excuse making then talk about a 2v1….

Raven, you sir are as clueless and pathetic to listen to now that you are on SoR as you were on Blackgate. I not only feel sorry for you, but even more so for your new server mates. I wonder if you are getting laughed at as much on SoR as you were on BG.

First of all Grats to JQ on the win. A week how now past since BG entered T1 again. There was alot of questions before the matchup. Would BGs new arrivals be enough to match JQs super stacked server? How would SoR play their new role, and would they suprise all and go for #1 spot now they had ocenaics?

With the week gone, I for one can look back at the week passed and say that Ive given everything I had in me. I couldnt have played just 1 hour more, pushed just 5 ppt more or killed 1 more invader. I also know that Im not the only one on Blackgate. Every commander and guild I know have put in more than double time to get us that close to #1. For that Im looking back at the past week as a proud member of Blackgate.

This last week will without a doubt be the closest any server will get to match JQs coverage and score for many months to come, unless something like Foo leaving the server or game happens. I expect JQ to win with a 50-70K point lead in the weeks to come, which will reflect their superior coverage. With that in mind I am looking forward not to care about ppt 12 hours a day, but instead look for the good fights and fun to be had.

We´ve had a blast this last week and I thank both JQ and SoR for a great week with tons of epic fights. First of all though, I thank Blackgate for beeing such a great server with so many great individuals and guilds working their kittens of for a common goal. I know we will continue to improve our coordination, communication and field skills over the next weeks, and prepare for any chance we will get to once again put up some real preasure on JQ.

I had 39 on at reset, 28 of those got in straight away, 22 have dc´d so far, leaving us 6! guys in WvW. So far none of those in Q since reset have made it in to the zone.

Whatever Anet changed it aint working.

These last few weeks have brought some good fights, laughs and something as rare as respect between the oponents. Even though WvW for us this week has been boring, we are still leaving T2 with a good feeling, alot of memories and some new found friends.

For those that didnt see it the last time we went Tier1, HB made a video about it that I want to share with you guys.
