Hello! I was once an co-creator/owner of a guild with a friend of mine but I decided to let go of the reigns once and for all and left my guild to my friend and now I am looking for a guild that is into sPvP. Recently I’ve really began to like and really get into sPvP and would love to find a group that enjoys sPvP as much as I do and who are actually quite good and can possibly teach me some things about the game type!
I have joined a few guilds that say they sPvP besides doing WvW, and PvE -but in truth 3 or 4 out of their entire roster are actually into sPvP and about 2 are any good at it.
It always goes something like that.
I am very patient and like to learn! I play mesmer and ranger and am starting to learn my engineer but I still have a long ways to go- I like any game type but I am more focused on sPvP.
On the dungeon aspect- I do not like Elitists, if I am doing a dungeon as long as I get through I do not care how we get through but changing my build for one dungeon I will not do. I am more of a casual player but I do like to win! this goes for WvW, sPvP mostly, but who doesnt?

I recently received map completion but I did not receive any rewards from it, is this due to the new WP added in Gendarran and Divinitys Reach? I have acquired both PoI’s and after that point I would’ve received 100% in which I did but I did not get gift of exploration or anything that comes with it.
I think it’s about time Gw2 introduced new armors!
You can only mix so many armors together with each class to the point it’s boring.
I think that the few PvP armors that are unavailable should be added to PvE since a character model is already standing for them, so would a conversion be hard?
I hope in the future along with a new dungeon – the ‘flash’ dungeons as I call them, that are being introduced with these events -should also come armor with vendors; OR since that would be unfair to players who join later if its a non permanent dungeon/event and gw2 is all about ‘fairness’ then create new permanent dungeons in the future.

Meddling your mind around a legendary can get you irritated- if thats what you focus your gaming experience around- yea, im going for a legendary because the stats are good for my character- but I can get a similar staff- so what if I want to be a little more shiny than someone else? If there were more armors- or personal armors as they were in gw1- class specific instead of class generalized, then I wouldn’t care about a legendary.
If you have the patience and the time for a legendary then by all means go for it and ignore the rest.
Well a “universal” theme tends to stay in the “lame” theme.
What’s wrong with having a more Arabian part of the map or a more European Side of the map? Personally, I don’t see a problem unless stereotypes are thrown in or partial based inaccuracies.
Cantha was my favorite because it’s when I started playing GW- there were things I hated about it but in all I liked it. It would be a shame if something like that wasn’t added.
BUT GW2 is still ‘new’ and growing and Expansions will come!!

GS mesmer is all the rage when you can get a better build – a dumb player could perfect GS build.
I can usually take down a GS mesmer with a staff if im paying attention- especially since GS mesmers tend to have little to no toughness and you can take her out with a few illusions and shatter along with Chaos storm and – blink around- its not that bad since they will tend to try to keep you away from them and cant deal with up close- unless she have a sword as second hand.
So I was just casually browsing about GW2 when I came across this picture of a norn and her companions- and she has a hairstyle that I assume was removed after beta? before beta- and it’s a really neat hairstyle since it screams ‘norn’.
Maybe this hairstyle would be added on a later date through some other event?
Like Rox’s horns since the character model may still be there.
I’ve seen some other hairstyles for other races that were taken away- and they were quite lovely and unique to that race.
More hairstyles would be appreciated over all that are specific to a race and gender like gw1- and not any more shared hairstyles, which seems a little rushed and unoriginal.

Honestly I would hate to go up against one, and if I defeated a mesmer he/she couldnt have a normal death it would have to be something cool like getting exploded or eaten by a dragon- since it would be soooo hard to kill one if they truly were real. In general any class could be extremely difficult to defeat if played well- but if mesmers were real… man, it wouldnt be fun to face them! But it would be fun to be one- what would be your ideas on them?
I could totally see a mesmer as being prissy and noble like.
Mesmers are awesome- like.. why add something then take it away then re add it but less effective then completely take it away again?? Whats the purpose in that- with any class nerfing.
Confusion builds were my fav to run in WvW so now I and many others must find a different build that will eventually be nerfed in some way and the cycle will continue.. regardless I still love my mesmer I just stay out of WvW from now on
I love my norn – the only drawback is that I see the same female norn face- which is why I chose a face that for some reason reminded me of Jill Valentine from the RE series shes a mesmer— plus legendaries are better on norns and charrs since they are bigger and you can see all the pretty details!
but about norn bodies- honestly, the male body model makes sense compared to the female but the females are soooo much smaller than the males – its just like a giant woman.
More hair please! for all races!

Flowers and different kinds of leaves for sylvari! Since they are ‘plants’ why do no sylvari have any flowers in their hair?? Even realistic looking flowers.

I will try to type this in a way that I dont seem ignorant of what commanders and large zergs do and are for in WvW.
Here’s my situation…
I am at 94% at the moment, I have completion for my own servers homelands and one of the other homelands is complete. But there is 5 things left that I need in WvW and no commander or large group will dare take those 3 in EB and 2 in Isle of Janthir Homelands, even though they literally have one small corner in EB and with that being the last Vista and Poi’s that I need.
I ask can we go take the ‘smaller’ fort the answer is “no” or “not on commanders watch” I understand to fight back the main force and if it’s out of the way then keep it out of the way I guess but since February and noone seems to care or want map completion?? Or everyone but me has it by now.. So, should I wait another month OR switch to their losing server in hope that I can get those last few and then raise enough gold to switch back?
The server I am in is Devona’s Rest..
Does anyone else have this problem in their server??
I know what you mean- I know of a one in particular that got the title and when he realized commanding isnt as easy as he though he doesnt wear his title ever unless hes in PvE but around other commanders he doesnt
I love trapper in wvw – although I only see its success in a large group if we are taking on a large group- never on my own since Im always taken down by a zerg or larger group if Im on my own. but 1vs1 or no more than 3 im usually alright- by far its my personal yfav since in Gw1 I went trapper.
I use female face 3, I modeled my sylvari after Vevina of the Nightmare court, I just gave her black eyes instead of gold. -
EVERY female sylvari I see has the 1st face with the leaf hair- it’s really ugly. no offense

I use the 7th face- the second one on the second row. with the leaf hair that goes forward..
I think more options would be nice- like, since they are plants- and I saw this in the advertisement the Sylvari females had flowers in their hair instead of twigs, cat tails, and leaves. I think those need to be reintroduced- makes no sense to me why humans and norns have more hairstyles than any other race. A cute top side bun with a lotus as the ‘bow’ would be cute!!! ijs..
I’d like more faces for humans too. I’d like a messy bun option for human females. The current bun is too fancy.
Oh gosh yea! maybe more realistic hairstyles I would like to see more ‘curly’ hairstyles or more african based ones since they all seems to be ‘straightened’ maybe I want a girl afro with big earrings.

Sylvari – add some flower to them! Tired of having leaves and sticks for hair, I would really enjoy my sylvari to have flowers, styled of course; in her hair!

It’s not such a priority imo with the faces but among norn and humans so basically tall humans and humans, an “add makeup/no makeup” would be appreciated, maybe I really like the features of the face but the makeup is just too caked on for a battle maiden.
More ‘celtic’ hairstyles for norn, even more simplistic ones. I will honestly admit tha tI was a little disappointed when I made my norn and Jora’s hair was not among the choices! I mean, she was the main norn in EoTN so add her hair to the list!! Add more hair and face hair options for male norn.

Im tired of being on a losing server (the middle server) and not being able to complete this at all- And I do not feel like spending 79g to switch servers in hopes that the are in control of the specific area that I need.
I would have to switch servers twice or become apart of the largest zerg WvW has ever seen and take everything.

And wheres proof of this intention? I dont mean the gem store prices are high I think they are super- but gold to gem rate is.. just I mean 4g wont even get me 140gems.

The ability of the Gem exchange rate to adapt to in-game inflation is an incredibly elegant system.
1. People who don’t like to spend real life money:
Benefits them, because you can use in-game gold to purchase things in the Gem Store. All other games with microtransactions off the top of my head does not have this ability.
2. People who want to convert real-life money to in-game gold
Because it adjusts to in-game inflation, the gems you buy today will be worth the same a year from now, when adjusted for inflation. When the game first came out, 100 gems got you like 20s. If that rate was flat, no one in their right minds would convert Gems to Gold. But because it adjusts to inflation, it keeps people who like to convert money into gold happy.
3. Anet
By allowing it to adjust for inflation, Anet encourages the activity of people #2 over #1, which is important since #2 spends real-money, and #1 doesn’t. If the Gem exchange rate stayed flat, no one in their right mind would purchase gems today, since Gold is so easy to get.
The Gem Exchange Rate which adjusts for in-game inflation is an elegant compromise of the 3 parties above. You’re looking at it from just #1’s perspective.

Great for all the real money users- I get that they are the ones bascially driving the market up and up at their leisure and Anet is happy about that.
The only activity I see for #1 is grinding.. now wasn’t Gw2 not supposed to be about that? Oh wait, it is just another MMO. Who am I kidding.
Think about it like this, you can either grind 4-5 hours for that 20g. Or work for 1 hour and convert $10,- into that 20g.
But yeah, the gem system is in favor of real money spenders. Which is not weird at all, considering that that’s how they get an income and can pay the developers to make new content.

mow the loan/backyard for 20$, rather than paying the loan mower service for 70$

theres so much things to do outside to finance your gaming needs
20g 4-5 hours is insane – what method are you using?
I mean really, I get about 1-2.1g in an hour which gives me ‘maybe’ about 5g within 5 hours. maybe thats just my casual-ness not to pick or seem condescending but that seems a little exaggerated?
It would be great if Gold to Gem would somehow stay low- while Gem to Gold would stay high- I think that would work possibly work in benefit to all instead of using 79g to transfer to a different server or 10g for a measly 350 gems.
My 50g is only worth hrmm really nothing if i convert to gems- but I dont mind dungeoning for the gold I get- but full out grinding is not my style.
whatever- ill just forget gems for awhile at least until the flame and frost picks go away— or something.

idk about significant but I did have 3g now its back down to 40s and 230 tokens now its down to 78.
also i found the bow of the white hart- its gone now along with my exotics that I bought from the TA vendor.
So I just got out of AC exlplorer and the tokens that I had earned and the 3g that i had on that character is now gone along with my level- so what do i do now?

Hrm Try Ectoplasms and Tier six materials like elaborate totem powerful blood etc.
maybe even go after a legendary to sell after you make it
Ectoplasms will always remain profitable, always. Tier six – certain ones like crystalline dust is currently 26s per dust. I dont see if dropping under 20s.
Try charged cored or loadstones. I think they may flux a little or just go up.
He’s my thought. Perhaps you should consider converting your Gold to Gems when rates are low? For people who tend to wait to make the conversions until something good in the Gem store shows up, they usually get the short end of the stick. This is because there are a lot of people converting at the same time, thus driving up the amount of Gold needed for each Gem.
Side note: I helped bring the rates back down, since I got some good deals for turning my Gems into Gold.
You could simply wait for the huge influx of cool items to die down and the gem ratio to re-stabalize.

I have nothing now, because my 10g went to 300 gems.
I had around 130g before I decided to go for the Bifrost legendary which – earlier I bought 69 Crystalline dusts for 21g and and a bunch of ectoplasm which drained me completely.
I think I would too and then fling purple poo covered in butterflies
