Hey all, just a quick note. Earning higher tiers of reward in the Boss Blitz in the Queen’s Pavilion is a great way to earn Festival Tokens, and Queen’s Gauntlet tickets – the rewards that the other activities within the festival give as well. If you check your inventory, you should see the tokens & tickets you have received.

How do we achieve the ‘Chaos of Lyssa’? Is it available through PvP reward track or AP rewards? Or just extremely ridiculously rare?

So how hard is it to get the drop? Or is it acquired through certain means such as Crown Pavilion? Or PvP reward track? Or is it as useless as grinding through bosses and mobs in hopes to get something semi worth while?
Oh wait im sorry, what I should say is “Am I and many others going to be wasting time in the Pavilion in hopes to attain the Chaos of Lyssa back item that is 100 times more rare of a drop (it seems so far) than Dwayna or Grenth for no apparent reason other than to annoy people.”
I think I wouldn’t be as irritated if there was at least a path on how to get it, and not random hopes similar to precursor hunting.
Any ideas?

So, Anet finally answered my cries – I know not to me specifically- but they came out with a Lyssa related backpiece but it’s nearly impossible to get from what I am reading in map chat and stuff?

SO why was it not incorporated into PvP rewards or AP rewards? Dumb idea since it wasn’t, Imo.
There is currently only 1 on the market place and it’s listed for 999 gold… but it did sort of just come out I guess so there is possibly still some hope…maybe. So, thanks Anet for crushing my dreams and the dreams of other Lyssa appreciators once again. Thank you.

I am officially trying out theif! well not necessarily ‘trying out’ but officially playing one.
My main is mesmer.. or used to be I have 2 mesmers just bc I love them so much
my second main is warrior
Now I would love to try a thief! simply because I see some really epic thieves in pvp and wvw- and they look super fun besides their squishiness, and it’s really the only class other than elementalist and necro i haven’t played into seriously.
Im leveling her now (sylvari) she is a level 13 currently!

And any pve/pvp tips would be appreciated!

I dont plan on jumping into pvp ust yet, until i have a little bit better grasp on combos and timing and such! <33

the only thing going on atm is the pvp tournament of legends- dont expect anything new with that going on.

we all become skeletons with our armor still in tact- norn would be giant norn skeletons and charr would be charr skeletons and so on

I think it may still be rewarded in PvP after getting rank 30+ Im glad I made it when I did is all I can say.
Making the tribal set was the best and most sure way to get it – but they removed crafting from PvP so I doubt you can attain it that way now- maybe still available through rank chests?
I hated it actually when i first got it, but now I appreciate it.

Okay so basically what this means is when I zoom out to map after visiting a merchant I cant fast travel immediately I have to wait for merchant item cool downs if I recently sold things from my inventory.
This was taken away on the Dec 10th patch so that you didn’t have to wait for the selling cooldown in order to zoom out in map- I know it’s not a big issue but I really appreciated not having to wait for the cooldown, but since the April 15th patch I’ve noticed it’s back… >:c

It doesn’t matter. Anything you are wearing will be unlocked for the Wardrobe. Anything in your PvP Locker will be unlocked for the Wardrobe and deleted.

So should I remove my armor to be able to access it or unlock it when the update comes?
Or does it not matter and will just be placed in my locker when it is replaced by my PvE looks?

can we get some new dungeons + armor to go along with it?

it could have been they used you to get through, so that they could invite one of their guildies or friends- its not uncommon or unheard of.

me and a friend would usually take out the mobs including the troll, and then LFG afterwards- we joked that this change was implemented to prevent us from doing that now- we tried to take it on just us 2 – nearly impossible.
We eventually took the troll out with a party but- I think this is a somewhat unnecessary change but I cant do anything about it.

As a very frequent dungeon runner running at least 5 dungeons in a evening, no matter what paths you do, if you do them alot they get kinda old.. routine.. and meh. So I know Anet will open up new map areas with hopefully permanent content with new events, vistas, races even, etc. similar to what we already have in our maps – but what id be really looking forward to is new dungeons along with new armor skins and weapons to complete the package.
Dungeoneers are in need of new dungeons, so hopefully Anet you’ll think of us while doing what you do- and no please, no new paths in existing dungeons.

Anet step on it- fix these please.

Ever since the marionette event that took place in Lornar’s pass I have noticed that when I summon my phantasm with focus 5 it does nothing- it will summon her, but she stands there and does nothing. I often shatter it because of this – and it happens more than once in a row.

Its against enemies and objects alike (the blockade in SE)

Anyone else experience this problem?

I recently transferred myself from DR Devona’s Rest, a very low populated server that can barely ever complete world events dealing with Living Story and has a hard time keeping up in WvW, but I have a few really good friends there and often find myself visiting back.

yes lots of grinding and actually winning tournaments- unless you find fun in PvP then you wont consider it grinding

at first it was during the first and second beta
but was removed afterwards

It does take a while- since PvP xp isn’t given in large quantities even with a booster
The higher ranked you become in PvP the longer it takes to rank up

No they aren’t going to move this armor into PvE all 3 sets light medium and heavy have 1 set of PvE named armor that is only exclusive to PvP, that are only acquirable through certain ranks.

I crafted the Minstrel in December of 2013- and I really do like it for my mesmer- but Is it just me or does it reaaaallllyy need a visual buff? Such as footfall or at least an aura glow?

Do you think this Legendary is done with developments?

In my opinion these seem to be the legendaries that seem somewhat incomplete compared to the rest- is it because they are offhand?

Some might just say they are fine the way they are but they are legendary weapons- so make them look legendary anet!

I arrived in Divinity’s Reach earlier today after a dungeon run and I saw several ppl in map chat harping on a mesmer trait simply known as PU.

Sorry to seem so naive of what problems it brings- or does?

I’m not asking why shouldn’t a mesmer use it – but I really want to know is there something wrong with it? is it broken?? or.. whats the big commotion about? Because the ranter was very… upset about the PU trait.

Maybe if someone draws a comparison for me I could understand it better.

Im thinking it’s going to stay- although the ones that purchased it are putting their input- and it might change (definitely not saying that it will but similar to what they did with the flame light armor)
I don’t see it going anywhere.

It(the blue star skin) messes up my phantasms completely.
Actually it’s the skin and the haze that comes off of it.

I really like this armor – but the option of having the blue skin or not needs to be implemented- I saw in a previous post where the option was in order to have the blue skin body- there needs to be a full set worn. I thought that was a good idea. So with separate body armor pieces it does not have the blue skin phantasm ruining effect.
Or just remove the blue skin entirely- I like it personally because it reminds me of a Hindu deity. And I love mythology – but I almost couldn’t tell what I was doing at one point in a dungeon because of this shredded cube effect.

Other than that I really love it.

Even though I think the nipples are pushing it a bit, I really wish we could get off that subject, and get back to the entire rest of the skin… great concepts, great dye channels but there are some things I have mentioned previously that deserve a lot more attention than this… please fix my norns horrid armor model, and gimme an aquabreather for this stuff, because I think that was an actual honest oversight.

I think aqua breathers need a better everything- they are always left out completely.

dont think they will fix it especially since it has the same effect that the celestial gloves/helm/boots (upcoming) give off when I summon my phantasms. They haven fixed that either.

Take away the blue ‘star’ skin- leave the armor

the stars look more like white noise than anything

it’s and interesting design- but I dont see why it gives my norn mesmer a horrible preset face.
Maybe Anet you should take a vote on what armor ppl would like more next time.

I did too. My Ele wanted some decent looking Heels. However, the curly toe needs to go! =D (Actually, the curly reminds me of Genie Shoes)

Awe i love the boots as they are! just a flat tip? thats like every other boot out there.

Personally I love it- I LOVE the shoes for my female mesmer

But what I don’t love is the fact that it gives you a preset face and body type.
The option of having the glowy skin or not should be added- bc I love the way my mesmer looks without the blue skin.

The actual overall armor parts- are beautiful.
Maybe add a chest covering so that nothing is exposed.

Really disappointed when I found out that I’m a side character in some ‘under-qualified to be a commander’ Sylvari’s story.

I find that it’s a lovely focus but one of the few that has no real effect except for large music notes- that are barely noticeable.
Now this is purely cosmetic – when I crafted it and found myself kinda shrugging it off – ‘visual-wise’

I hope this Legendary is not done being developed.

Hello! I recently started playing a warrior!
My first class that I stuck with was a Mesmer- which I played religiously and won my first champ title a few months back.

So, on with warrior-

Im confused with what to go with, such as what weapons to use, with complying runes etc.
The build I might be looking for is just one that’s fairly easy to start with I suppose..

No I don’t expect to pick it up immediately, I don’t mind gradual learning.
So far I like Shield out of the weapons. I play a Norn warrior and an Asura. My Asura is lvl 80, and I am not full zerk on her. I use her mainly for PvE.

Any tips for a semi-beginner warrior would be much appreciated! <33

I think there needs to be more armor for females that doesn’t subject their bodies in a sexual manner- it would be mind blowing.
More armors that look better on Charr and Asura as well- maybe even a little more design between male and female- not much but just small touches here and there.

All in all I would love more fur armors that are Norn related- but nothing skimpy- who wears armor that shows mid drift in -10 degree weather? What’s that point of wearing long sleeves if your breasts, abs, or back are partially are showing?
AN overall redesign needs to be done. But I don’t see it happening.

I made The Minstrel, and placed it on one of my mesmer- who I wanted to be nothing like my other mesmer in build- so I want the focus to go on my main mesmer.
How would I go about unsoulbinding it?
Would the transmutation splitter work afterwards to get the stats back along with the infusions?

Since the last patch on Dec 10th I have noticed problems with my Illusionary Warden and Phantasmal Warlock not attacking.
When I call them out skill 3 on staff, and skill 5 on focus they stand in front of the enemy and presume to do nothing until they are killed.
It has happened multiple times in a row each day.

When I go into the Skyhammer gate- and I see it happen to other players as well, is I enter then it kicks me out over and over
and I’m not actually able to get to Skyhammer-one time it pushed me through the ground and I fell to my death.
I thought I was just pressing F too fast or something or pressing it twice by accident- and nope, it just bugs out for me.

As a mesmer player I hate fighting GS mesmer- Rarely do I see “Champion Illusionist” on a gs mesmer but they all seem to think they are more than worthy of having it- more often do I see it on players who are willing to try all kinds of builds in order to find what suits them.
A GS mesmer’s worst enemy is the terrain or dodge rolling, but unlike most classes ele cannot swap weapons- so sigil of energy is out immediately if you can just pay attention to their movements- stay as close to a gs mesmer as possible bc they cant take a hit- and the farther away you are from them the more damage they do and while they are waiting for there 15s or so cd for the only skill they can rely on – the phantasmal berserker- so as long as you can watch out for that you’re clear; I know what you mean but frustrating. Conditions melt any gs mesmer faster than you can blink, I’ve seen it and I’ve been that lame gs mesmer who got melted by ele burst/conditions.
GS takes 0 skill as a mesmer meaning it does nothing to stretch what a mesmer can really offer, it’s about like going Hambow for a warrior these days. Don’t expect much when you see mesmers anymore since most will run GS and have little to no survivability. It’s pretty generic.

Great advice, and always remember you are on your own time schedule, no need to feel rushed- but that doesn’t mean procrastinate!
Get on do what you can and you will achieve your goal.
Im nearly done with my second legendary and Im going at my own pace, doing my daily everyday including my pvp daily, and I do many steps listed above in the OP.
I don’t plan on getting any more after this though, 2 is enough for me.
I bought my second precursor since it is listed for under 100g -The Bard. The first one I planned on farming for the gold but luckily my sister made it in the MF and that helped me out a bit- she wasn’t even after The Legend.

I doubt that. You will probably have to transmute skins. Its a nice change each side (PVE/PVP) has its own unique skins you can earn and if you want to you can just transmute them. Fair solution for everyone and anet gets a nice boost in sells for transmutation stones.

I use Tranz stones now,so that isn’t a big deal.I didn’t run Arah for the stats,I ran it for the skins.

Can you trans skins from PVE gear onto a PVP piece already and vice versa? Because this sentence “Players will be able to earn gear in PvP that can be carried over to PvE and vice versa.” implies to me that its not possible yet. I don’t play sPvP so i don’t know but that is what i get from this sentence.
