Considering how the story is told in Heart of Thorns? Nope.
If they can’t give us substantial lore about the Exalted, the Hylek, and the specialisations, I don’t like the idea of having a new race pop up without a single shred of good story to back it all up.
That would be one of the biggest dissapoint in the whole game.
As did I, earlier today I finally got my last vista and zilch for rewards.
I reported it as a bug in support but idk if anything will be done personally.

In all seriousness though, maybe since she is a ‘crystal’ dragon have silvery crystals that hover around us or near, unlike the jade ones while equipped with Shiro. Or maybe just sparkle like Vaporeon from Pokemon Stadium for N64.
I’ve never played a Charr mostly because I have a hard time picking markings and colors which is also why I never really played Sylvari, but that’s changed because I adore my syl and my new Charr – but I can’t help but notice how Charr have a horrible back gap between their weapons/backpiece and their actual back.
Is this an ongoing issue? or something that recently happened?
I just don’t think it should be ignored especially being a main race in Gw2.

I’m a lore nerd and I’d take playable Tengu over new lore for existing races any day. Those polar bear dudes would be cool too.
This game is a game, not a book. Gimme more play options and I’ll fill in the lore / RP bits myself.
an all polar bear race- sounds kind of dull with no character diversity other than names like ‘glittering ocean wave’, ‘harrowing sound’ or ‘walks in starlight’ and plus doesn’t wow already have a bear race? but hey go figure!

Arena.net already struggle at providing content for the five existing races.
Sylvaris have the best. Humans inherit from GW1 and benefits the huge amount of players sticking to them. Asuras, Charrs, and Norns needs some love.
We can hope for balance through further content, but we’re only at the beginning of HoT and we could wait 2/3 years before going onto an other dragon.
What about Charr/Human negociations?
What about Norns/Svanirs cohabitation?
After everything that happened in Caudecus’ Manor, did he get in trouble?
What evolutions for Inquest/Flame Legion/Separatists/Svanirs ?
We see them but do not get any insight on their leaders and plans.
How is evolving Human/Centaur war ?
And thousands of others questions !
I agree with all of that before a new race is introduced but if one was i would want tengu!

Gray? Green? No… Just no… Gray is a terrible color to be on the World Map being vast as it is since Gray Hero Points would be so much tougher to see. We need something that stands out.

I completely agree the old Hero Points (even to a quick eye) were much easier to see regarding Hero Points that were obtained vs. Hero Points that were not obtained.
With that being said in mind, I do not think Anet should revert the new Hero Points back to the old ‘look’ of Hero Points but to update the new look of Hero Points where they are blue like the old Hero Points so they are not the same yellow color as Renowned Hearts.

I suspect that a lot of people have not even thought about new hair styles or faces, especially with a new expansion to play with (and complain about). I understand it might be a high priority for you but I suspect a lot of players would much rather Anet (including the artists and modellers who make hair styles) focus on other things for now.
there are alot of things that are on my mind not just this, but a small bit out of alot of things i like about the game is makeovers, i actually look forward to pretty things
call me materialistic but i kind of expected a huge grand release with HoT which wasnt as grand as i thought itd be tbh
also I’ve seen some of the new human hairs (all bun hairstyles with a greek flair and 1 norn female hair that is also seen in the silverwastes on the ugly npc that sells the carapace boxes)due to a makeover bug that revealed them early.
but everyone has their priorities, dont hate me because i want new cosmetic hairs to oogle at

Was really hoping for at least something worth staying on longer for with HoT getting boring fast was looking forward to this patch but another let down.
Cloud Strife hair would be amazing. Or something fantasy based that isn’t just for these kitten super Saiyan Charrs and salads. <.<
they should’ve never even added the ‘goku’ hair for charr in the first place tbh, and id be disgusted if they DID throw in that awful gravity defying hair, please no never, it goes along with those ridiculous wings.. Squall’s hair is more practical tbh.
I expected GW1 with major mmo bling. Ingame VOIP option. A guild interface and bank controls far more advanced than what we got. Configurable UI. Particle sliders. Actual dynamic events rather than infinitely repeatable events. QoL features that are in games released 10+ years ago. I expected the Manifesto to be an actual “thing”.
I didn’t expect the content would be increasingly driven by NES nostalgia. I didn’t expect the story writing to be driven by emulating TV programs, terrible common tropes and social justice warriors.. I did expect the Lore of GW to be respected. I didn’t expect the personal story would be so glaringly bad. I really did not expect the super server merge and loss of all server community. I did not foresee “zerging” would be the preferred play. It’s always been an insult, to me.
I play here when I am taking breaks from GW or EQ2. I will not buy HoT. I do not like platforming, mario or LoZ, so, no point. I wont commit to anymore purchases until they quit floundering around and decide what they want to be.
Haven’t uninstalled cause I love my Norn and the environment is so pretty, when not blocked by a 600 lb winged, glowing GokuCharr or a blinding wall of particle effects. Waiting for a better MMO with better standards of immersion and an actual design destination. Wings.. really. Et Tu, GW2?

I remember there was also this thing about Elementalists being stronger on certain plains of the earth such as when standing in water, they gained a buff while creating fire fonts and standing on it they gained buffs for that- I was excited about that
along with being a Norn – I fell in love with Jora and was really hoping that our spirit animals were more personal and meaningful like how it was expressed in Gw1:Eotn- but another let down. I love my Norn too, but I’ll always feel like a big human with no special qualities other than the fact I based her to to look like Julia Voth
Side note, hair had better motion such as it would fall over your shoulder and move more dynamically – but due to tearing and stretching that was removed.
SO alot of us thought we’d be getting new cosmetic options for the makeover kits on the release of HoT to make it feel more complete, but I imagine bug fixes were the #1 priority and still are – but aren’t we overdue for something?

There are still things to do, world boss events, dungeons, pvp- the regular gw2 content HoT is an expansion but more of a farm fest for events youll get more personal story, new armors, explorable map and new weapons if you dont care for that stuff then don’t purchase it.
A guardian will almost always die against conditions (engi) unless she has the right support from 1 other player or more, since bunk guards tend to do their best in groups depending on the build.
I used to play bunk religiously and could defend against 3 players depending on their class and build, but I could hold them long enough for backup. I never had problems with zerks especially stun locks it may be a L2P issue which doesn’t make you a bad player but possibly you need to pay more attention to your skills and time management of them- stick to another player if going alone is your issue there is no shame in that – you can hold a point better and keep that player alive longer to support point gain.
So, you’re saying that Guardians playing regulary during ESLs got L2P issues with sustaining themselves? Are you serious?
No I didn’t literally say that. I didn’t direct anything towards those ESL players, Im speaking generally about bunker guards.
What I AM saying is they die vs sustained condition in a 1v1.
I said ‘depending on the build’ such as Altruistic healing is better for +1 team support especially against a power based team more so than a virtue bunk would in terms of team healing but virtue bunks are great at keeping points – I think the idea of a bunk is a supposed to be a tanky class against any other class which I feel should be true but Anet designed zerker&condi to be queen of the ring condi being the death to bunk and medi guards. Altruistic bunkers don’t do bad alone but they tend not to do great for long periods in a 1v2 or 3 and that’s not my fault or anyone else’s unless you you stand there and take it in the face while uselessly spamming your skills then it IS a L2p issue.

Bring SoloQ back! It keeps the casuals playing PvP and the more competitive players where they belong which is against challenging teams and not driving out the casual, solo, and new players making them(the premade teams) more OP because they can’t get a decent match up for either sides, imo.
I think they are trying to promote more team play, but they are going the wrong way about it, why not make a solo ranked/unranked and team ranked/unranked? Maybe that won’t fix the initial problem but it might do better than what’s being done- and yes I know we have the option to join random matches that are mostly for dailies and are just troll fests in the dueling servers – but that might not be obvious to new players and casuals giving them another horrible experience.
PvP caters only to the experienced awesome players and maybe that’s what Anet wants.
Is it even still called hotjoin? Sorry, I played PvP back when RotC was around even got my tribal set that I hope isn’t brought back.
Anyways how could you remove hotjoin Anet? How will new players get used to PvP and test builds? How will veterans test new builds? Oh that’s right mesh everyone together in one melting pot of unranked gg, you will drive away the new players because you have no way to introduce them into PvP except throw them straight into the crap and conform only to team players who are the ones who have the upper hand at this point. I was a solo PvPer and I preferred NOT to PvE but now I have no choice unless I want to join a team- which I prefer not too.
Anet bring back Solo play or Hotjoin one of the two please to outroot the new players from the gambling vets who prefer to solo- thanks

Where I disagree: I’m often in verdant brink and have a lack of commanders who actually know how to lead and only promote zerging which in turn leads to events being ignored especially night events where people seem to think that killing bosses is the only thing that needs to be addressed.
I was actually going to get my mentor tag today sometime so that I can help with rally points and escort missions which are the most ignored events in night VB.
Where I do Agree: It is NOT a WvW appropriate commander tag, and should be used appropriately in VB AB and the other maps.
It is not a special snowflake tag and flaunting it around standing in DR is about as annoying as seeing a commander in PvP or just standing in DR flaunting their looks – it’s useless.
I think commander needs an upgrade maybe put ‘Commander’ in front of the names and players who have the tag equipped or change their names and chat to the color of their tag to better identify who is who.
I agree 100% Tired of 2-4 hour map grinding with a reward of a crowbar and a bag of rare armor as your ultimate payoff.

Just make the coat a more common drop, it’s too rare and frankly NOT worth the 2-4 hour map grind and the best part is you get a random drop of bladed armor not just the chest- so you might just get a bladed piece but it most certainly will not be the one you want.
Anet c’mon – this isn’t a good way to keep people in the map by leaving them to dangle with crappy rewards given. I actually like doing the events but this is ridiculous and getting old fast.

Eitherway I really like it as well- and no, I do not believe it has been released yet OR just noone has gotten the drop.
Been through multiple T4’s night and day rotations 200% participation and still no one on any of the maps I was on ever got a box reward. I figured it was a bug since at least SOMEONE should get it – must be a drop bug or has yet to be included into the game or something of that nature.
Drop needs to be increased by a lot to make farming and grinding for it to not seem so useless and pointless.
I crash randomly ( i thought was zoned to HoT maps but I was wrong) I crash at any map – and I never ever used to- im about done with GW2 with all the patches that fix one thing and break 2 more.

Women have too many animations! take it away! there to one animation, simple women animations good women good be happy and make a sandwich now with your one animation. simple women just the way we want you because women cant be complicated with +2 animations.
