Along with the constant crashing + no bladed armor top, me and my sister can’t log into GW2 past the log in character select screen. Anyone else experience this?

I wish theyed bring back hot join for new players and ppl to test their builds- and keep ranked for those who are really great team players – I have avoided PvP since the change- I always get teamed with newbies, I have 4 champ titles and tribal set- I know im not a horrible player so I why do I(we) get punished going against organized teams when I just want to Solo play like how it used to be – add the better matchups in with it though (like there ever were any to begin with) I am a PvPer not a PvEer but I’ve been stuck doing pve (eck) because it literally drove me out with always going against really great organized teams.
I dont believe they are out yet and if so, they must be reward based like killing a major mordrem boss like a diadrem or whatever they are called – the giant ‘female’ mordrem. Im not even 10% sure on that one though.
So I just got out of two full rotations of T4 day night day/night maps fully tiered and protected with boss completion on both times. One person received the bladed gloves armor box…. leading me and a few others to think the drop is almost precursor rare, which is ridiculous. You can purchase the rest of the armor from a vendor, and obtain the hood from a story reward completion and it makes 0 sense as to why one piece is unobtainable thanks to horrific RNG.
I and many others got HoT for better rewards, character/story progression, professions, the map and other reasons- not for this horrible loot RNG with hours of grinding and no guarantee you will be compensated other than with just a few greens and blues and crowbars. I do not mean to sound like I am whining but I’m just somewhat fed-up with the reward system for grinding out a full t4 map rotation – multiple ones at that, and still nothing for anyone next to the crashing randomly it’s getting old fast.
I honestly do not mind grinding the same events as long as it’s for an obtainable goal, not one that has no guarantee of the piece you will get at a low low chance.
SO my map just got out of a very very successful t4 day map and we killed all night bosses but did not get to t4 night Is this the way to get it? get all T4 day and night? with all bosses?
It’s ridiculous to get if it’s a small chance to even receive it for all that farming.

It is almost the same system as Silverwastes. You can buy 5 pieces at vendor but chest has to be looted from the final pop up chest when the map wins everything. – Daytime Tier4. Nightime I don’t know about..I never seen anym map getting to full tier 3 and I can’t tell if there is tier 4.
T4 is full bar, the chest is rewarded on day/night switch
ppl get lazy around t2 and give up or they just want to farm hero/masteries and hijack the map from events
It looks like a fractal reward, not a legendary one and is very unimpressive.
I will have 0 intention of ever considering it even for the legendary value of it.
I was told it’s possible through t4 rewards, but I’ve been in nearly 10 t4 maps with 200% and have yet to get anything so Im beginning to believe the drop is precursor rare- is this the case?
I constantly crash, no sign or trigger that I am aware of.
It happens at least 2 times an hour- im getting fed up because I lose all credit to everything and makes event grinding in those maps pointless.
Noone has gotten it yet. Not to my knowledge – and if so it’s so low of a chance it’s stupid- why make the other pieces accessible through NPC vendor and the chest almost impossible to get? I’ve been in 5 tier 4 maps, 200% completion and still the same crappy rewards and no chest. Makes the grind and time feel like we’re all sitting waiting just for greens and blues with less than 10% or whatever the chance is because it’s obviously a low chance of getting it. It needs to be 50/50 with 200% participation. It doesn’t matter if everyone has it – but I feel like this is a tunnel with no end of farming events and 0 chance of a great reward.
It is frustrating 100%.

it’s hard to get a full map that works and when it does at least 3 events are bugged and then everyone gives up and well gg.
I also feel that the coin reward is extra low but mats are generously high in reward which is okay but i would at least like to make a little bit more silver than i spend on buying salvage kits – i swear ive lost gold bc of the low coin drop reward.
aren’t they buyable from the guy at the first vb wp? for airship things and some gold, you need itzel 2 to speak to him properly, but you can see what he’s selling.
All the armor pieces except the coat are available via NPC which is only obtainable through t3 full completion 200% participation, and its a small chance to even get it then, it says “a chance to obtain bladed armor”
this probably seems really stupid and noobish – but ive been stuck at rank 1 do i need mastery points to get? and if so how would i get them if i cant rank up? idk if that makes any sense but my friends are up in 4+ rank and wont explain to me clearly what im doing wrong or not doing at all
i have full bars in rank 1 of the lore stuff and cant complete it, why? do i need mastery impossible to get points? this is probably a stupid question but im lost and overwhelmed
Stuck at rank 1 mastery it seems, my 2 guildies who i team up with for most events have run the same events with me since the start and have aquired ranks but i am stuck at 1 and cannot do anything – not sure why maybe im just not understanding something

Well… I don’t see it impossible – I mean nothing is necessarily IMPOSSIBLE. If you had to look at it from a lore perspective-
You have to realize many humans would judge you very harshly same goes for Charr due to the Searing of Ascalon 200 years or so before gw2- Look at Rytlock and Logan, and then look at Gwen and Pyre from Gw1 it’s the same relationship but it’s more circumstantial in gw1.
It would largely depend on your characters backgrounds. Like say if you from a noble family, you would be expected to carry on the family name being married to another aristocrat and it would be highly looked down upon if you were to come out as a couple to the noble court, you’d definitely be the talk of the town.
If his Charr was from an outcast no name gladium it would be possible and maybe more accepted, but his warband may greatly disapprove & best case scenario might take the stance of “just keep it out of my sight” type deal. You also have your separatists those who are against the Charr-Human treaty and your intimate relationship, if ever found out by a supporter of the terrorist group would become a prime target probably ending in the persecution/ murder of either him or the both of you- (in a real life GW perspective.)
Also what brought you two together? A Charr wouldn’t find attractive in what humans find attractive in each other such as ‘Large eyes, small wastes in females, perfect teeth, toned muscles. etc’ Charr look more of the traits of their partners such as ‘Strength, Honor and leadership’ rather than aesthetic looks. Sex wouldn’t be discarded from the table it’s where you want to take it between you two. I don’t think it would be painful either – even though Charr are cat-like beasts I don’t believe they have the same anatomical qualities of a male cat causing mating to be… painful.
Asura would judge you heavily and probably want to look at you both from a scientific standpoint and try to determine what abnormalities attracted you to each other. Maybe even want to examine your brain waves through dissection and use you as some sort of example.
Humans would show great prejudice and maybe some curiosity and view you two as having some sort of ‘kink’ Charr I believe would be the same on some level in some degree.
Sylvari wouldn’t mind your relationship and would probably use it as an example of ‘Love has no bounds’ and Norn definitely wouldn’t hold either of you as strange since they tend to be more carefree and “The more the merrier” type.
Still your relationship would be out of the norm, but that’s what life is partially about – taking the next step forward leaving behind the old prejudices.
I play a female Charr and am leaning out of the PvP and Pve parts of the game and have considered RP- I have wondered this.
I don’t like the reset system which basically means no matter how far you go you will be reset back to 0 eventually and be put back with the new players and have to build themselves up again – is that how it works? Because if so, I am not a fan of that.
I also hope they don’t bring back Tribal armor set for pve’rs to farm and claim as if they had been there before the pvp change- I hate farming but I achieved what I wanted before the change and still PvP regularly, but I feel it is TOO easy atm- and maybe.. maybe this change will be okay? idk I still don’t fully understand it I am just expressing how I feel about it.
I have champ illusionist and being someone who’s played mesmer since launch I was SO excited at the idea of time control – since your only time skill as a mesmer is to speed up time – chrono really brings something else buuuutttttt I was almost untouchable in any 1v1 matchup – burn engi could take me down though. I used torch in place of shield + I used the wells. It was a little sad and I had to stop actually trying so that people would stop PMing me awful things because they had 0 chance in a 1v1 situation so holding back was the only way to make it fair- that is NOT how a class should be played.
Chrono is fun but there are things broken about it like the f5 skill, doesn’t always activate as it should and it activates too fast without phantasms- and you can use skills 2 times? that’s… like idk— a little insane – like 2 moas? OP much? The traits don’t necessarily work in balance with one another because you’d be greatly sacrificing one trait for something smaller that might have a chance for working but you still need that lesser trait in order to make your build more viable but at the same time it doesn’t flow. I like the time well idea – but removing conditions – it may do that but half the time there is no indication to your team that it is what they do, healing well needs to have a brighter indication and more – idk blue? if it were more of a blue it may translate better as a heal. The wells are soo telegraph and are only good to keep the enemy player off a point for a short duration, shield block doesn’t spawn a phantasm – at least from my experience playing with it nonstop – it never activated the phantasm + the alacrity trait doesn’t activate unless you have it on which can make your build too reliant on CD alacrity charges forcing you to randomly shatter in hopes to use a skill again.
There are some pretty big fixes that need to done to it- but nerfing it to the ground like ele and ranger were for a long time is not it.
I don’t like stronghold, the first day it was out during beta play a few months ago people were aggrivated at new players playing it for the first time and not knowing what to do. So my first impression of it was ‘even though this is a new pvp mode concept you need to already be pro at it’ which makes little to no sense. I rather just play regular matches.
Guardians cannot beat a condi engi – no matter how good the guardian is.
The condi will catch up too fast – and by that point youre out of condi removal.
Engi is a Guardians bane.
Just try to avoid them in 1v1 and target them in team fights.
But realistically sometimes you jut cannot avoid them SOO
You could always range them with scepter/focus or sword/focus and reflect with the sword and cast wall of reflection to help with any projectiles they shell out (but does not work with grenades/not sure about mortar) and you can use your WoR to condi cleanse with a burst skill- hammer will surprise them, start by casting banish and before it actually hits; make sure the engi is targeted and has no blocks/ stability up [Banish+Judge’s intervention] will always catch anyone off guard and gives you the upper hand for a few moments so use that time to burst them down.

Created a new character. No Traveler title and no HoM achievements, so 7884 AP.
Back on my Guardian I still have 7984 AP. 100 more then my new character, but the correct amount. It’s the newly created one that has no HoM achievements but should have them.

My HoM title and rewards have been revoked I had Guild Warrior.
I went into HoM and it’s as if i don’t have a gw1 account which I do. I have Eotn, Factions and Prophecies.
I have 10 pts in Hall of Monuments, And was finally able to claim my rewards in gw2 this afternoon but not so long after I got a letter telling me my title and items were revoked, why was it taken away from me? I worked for those rewards and now I am being punished? Has this happened to anyone else?

Make story more personal and about us, I could care less about commander trahearne or destiny’s edge when really we are just a stand in and not even a supporting actor in our own story line.
Make norn spirits more personal and somehow involved in their beginning story.

Human origin – somewhat complete but as a noble we should have a title and a claim to things, even a large house not just be a rich aristocrat. as commoner – we should live in a mediocre house that’s cozy. a street rat- let us take shelter in the sewers or a shack.
When I picked Raven for my norn mesmer – I was excited to see what my story held – and it was a real underwhelming feeling that I experienced knowing that spirits did not matter to the core of your norn or their story.

ele can’t handle CC, range and strong condition builds. they are NOT op.
ele burning is not OP unless you just stand in their fire attacks ele condi can not take you down engi and guard burning is the OP burn.
I try to keep my nasty comments to myself because I don’t want to make myself the butt face of the team – I just sigh and move on if it gets bad.
In ranked and unranked ppl go bonkers often.
One time I got kitten threats in a whisper by 3 different ppl after a strong victory – they were all in a guild together
so yeah PvP gets immature and ridiculously hostile at times.

No, I find ele a little challenging to say the least, but my sister who has champ magus and who played ele since beta – suggested to me PvE on my ele first learn the combo’s and what weapons I’d prefer and THEN go into PvP and test my skillz.
She also said that on ele you have to learn your rotation and might stacking in and out of battle, and once you learn that you learn how to stack might fast- pay attention to attunements, but you dont want to hurry and switch attunes and then be on a CD trying to get back to fire for ex.
Im glad I got my illusionist title before the PvP change when you actually had to do ranked in order to achieve that. Mesmer was different in some ways then, and Ele was nowhere to be seen in PvP they were literally the worst class at that time along with ranger while Thief dominated with perma stealth.
I just hope they don’t nerf mesmer to unplayable (which I don’t think will happen) as Ele was at some point in the beginning in all game modes.
All mesmer are shatter now – which is what I started on when I was in PvP diapers, it was a good starter build but became blah after some time; I don’t PvP on my mesmer anymore since I’d basically be forced to be a shatter variant build if I wanted to be effective. I hate that – no real build diversity.
If you want to be able to outplay a mesmer then you need to play one and learn how to survive as a mesmer in order to learn how to outplay them- then you can see the attacks and rotations coming your surivival will go up higher than you think
Dumbing a class down just so YOU can feel validated is really stupid. L2P.
Here are some pointers from a Champion Illusionist.
-AoE, CC, and condition heavy builds will take down a mesmer. Trust me.
-When a mesmer stealths she will normally hit you with her hardest bursts so be prepared.
-Play a mesmer and learn their weaknesses and strengths.
-There is no shame in avoiding a mesmer fight even though every single mesmer with the new patch is a shatter and VERY predictable.
I’m sure I am not alone in saying that personal story is too short and feels rushed and half done.
My first official character was a Norn Mesmer and I was with Raven spirit all the way thinking it had some sort of impact onto my mesmer and really it had none and i was kinda let down seeing that norn spirit is not necessarily a personal one and should be removed altogether since it has 0 effect- same with afternoon, morning etc Sylvari so on and so forth with all the classes – we need more about us in the story and enough about story stealing,Trahearne, Caithe or Logan – We are just tag alongs in some other person’s storyline.
Overall make us feel like our character isn’t just placed on the backburner in the story.
Add an eerie ruins map and add a survival where we still use our builds and weapons but itstead of capture the point it will be elimination – maybe even a 1v1 survival where you are put in a easy to navigate maze and you essentially hunt down one another.
-Before the big PvP change when you actually had to do ranked in order to get your champion titles, Skyhammer hadn’t been out very long and I was on a team of 3 mesmer myself included and 1 engi so we were down a player, things didn’t look good and we were losing by 200 pts. All of a sudden we did a 360 turnaround and we won. It was like something out of an 80s movie- with the 80s rock song and all, it was awesome.
But I can’t say that I recall what map it was when I got my Champ Illusionist title but I was like ‘yay’ when I did
-Pushing a thief out of SR with GS skill 5, they fell off the Skyhammer ledge and she/he went “Nice” as they fell.
-Portaling my whole team to victory and we were against a tough team in ranked. My sister, who was on power necro at the time – had portaled and lich formed as soon as she stepped out of it – the enemy team never saw it because I popped mass invis just before we walked through, we took out the whole team on middle and far point. It was great.
-My other biggest achievement was getting map on my mesmer it took 100yrs it seemed like.
-And making my legendaries on my mesmer was my third.
Any time I think of mounts in MMOs I think of pay to win and “look at me because I have this ridiculous over sized mount.” Mounts in games are designed for faster travel across HUGE worlds that don’t have a way point every 20 yards.

IF we get mounts which I pray to Lyssa we do not, then we should take away 90% of the waypoints since all of the maps are designed around way points and easy travel & not allow them in the PvP lobby, WvW and especially NOT in towns since all I can imagine is annoyances like ‘blocking’ the bank, other players to troll them and merchants and only to say look at me look at me. yeah we have alot of customizable armor and people often call gw fashion wars but mounts are in the same category of aestheticism.
So we get a beautiful Dwayna outfit similar to the gw1 outfit, and a pretty rad Balthazar outfit…please don’t stop there Anet.
Continue on with Melandru, since next to Kormir, is completely ignored.
I dream that a beautiful Lyssa outfit will be on its way… I hope!
Grenth I think is a no-brainer but we have enough Grenth, Balthazar, and Dwayna in the game as it is.
