When guild leaders call out “Let’s Logan Thackeray Out”, you would drop everything… stop mid-battle, stop mining, stop collecting loot, and run the kitten out of there and cast any and all speed boons until you got home portal…

Treehern with his mighty sword saladbowel didn’t strike me as the leader type. In fact he seemed like such a beta male I don’t know how he managed to stay alive in Tyria at all.
Really bad characterisation.
Firstly, Caladbolg is a real-life legendary sword, thought to be the source of the Excalibur myths no less.

Engineer has “utility”, but it’s useless utility compared to the D/D ele.

Grenades are way too fiddly and slow to use, Flame throwers are bugged to all heck and miss 75% of the time, even when things are in melee range and cannot hit static objects at all…as are bombs too weak, actually everything on Engi is too weak damage wise.
Sorry if off topic but when someone says a class is god made it makes me think how bad the balance in this game actually is…

Sounds like you don’t know how to play Engineer, or just being a troll.
I personally think the game is runing great. In pve you get your mobs around events and then people go their own way. If you go to pvp or wvw there is tons of coop. It is a great balence and I think it works. If you want to get a party for pve just go to LA and spam a few times Im sure youll find someone there.

I agree, making legionaries soul bound means you never swap this weapon between characters… meaning if you lose that character you lose that weapon… FOREVER.
Nope, it’s too much trouble to allow switch of race like that.
1) The starter city and personal story would have to be changed, cutting out mid way to jump into another seems to throw the player at a disadvantage.
2) Personal racial abilities, Humans can summoned the gods, Asura have tech, Sylvari have plant like turrets and healing… Switch midway ruins the abilites and then you got all these gamers complaining why they can no longer summon the Hounds of Balthazar.
3) Armor. If you are wearing cultural armor for your race then suddenly change, you would be without armor.
You best bet is to re-roll a new race, complete the unique story for that character. You have 5 character slots, and it’s really not that hard at all to level in this game.
I picture a war between cute cuddly toys trying to rescue Tixx against twisted monster toys…
I can totally see the Mad Court hijacking the Winter Airship and having it show up in cities in strange angles like they can’t really drive or park it correctly.

I am looking for a skin that looks like that, that doesn’t come from running CoE. I’m not a big fan of that dungeon (kind of hate it), and was looking for an alternate way of acquiring that skin.
Buckle down, do the dungeon. People have that gear so it can be done.
CoE is the ONLY place you can get that armor.
Do the dungeon, master that puppy (flaws and all), and wear that gear proudly.
How many people do you see walking around with CoE, SE, or Arah armor?

If I use MF gear in a group, I become healing and buffing character to make up for my Power attack loss.
You can pull off healing when using ranged, and I still get my fill in useful treasure.
I’m a Engineer.
I haven’t had one complaint from my guild, in fact they ask me to change into support sometimes and I get to use my MF gear.
I can definitely see a problem with warrior/guardian switching in support with MF gear… so there is that issue.
The choir bells got me thinking more musical instruments would be cool to play in game. People playing random songs on a piano or guitar would be pretty fun for RP.
This OP is ALWAYS writing in the forums about how this game is hard.
I seen him post about how dungeons are hard, and how he prefers to buy the gear. I was so repulsed so I had to ask if he even had his 80 gear, and he said he did.
Now he’s complaining about leveling… no surprise there.

I was a hardcore GW2 fanboy, but Wintersday has seriously got me rethinking my games.
Yeah unfortunately I’ve seen a good number of people going around with 100% swiftness uptime running around collecting as many gifts as possible and just dashing out once mobs spawn. Kind of lame… but it’s an MMO – there will always be this kind of player.

True..but did you notice all of the other stuff that he has? Most of the gift boxes contain a random chance for one of those things. Worst case, you open a bunch and have enough to purchase one outright.

My server is doing really well in WvW, but now we got this immigration flood from other servers. Along this shift we are getting these Loser Commanders from other servers that bringing their “F-game” tactics and zerging our server forces into the hole.
Nothing makes a wet pamper out of a server quite like “Tourists”…
Just imagine some 14 year old gamer girl marrying a 30 year old man in game…
