Hello I am the worst gamer ever

I am 30 years old, clumsy at the controls, and a causal gamer with work and school…
YET
I can play a little, and I survive most fights, and I have lvl 80 dungeon gear, and the new ascended amulet.

If you feel bad for lacking skill, I am worse…

but still I have all this stuff… so what does that tell you?

Meh okay.. If not a definative answer.. Is it on their to do list? xD

Yes and NO

They said they were working on it months ago…

The Tales of Tyria Show on youtube got information that ANet once again placed it on the backburner… and “We don’t have it and not working on it” was the response given…

Don’t expect to see it til the near end of this year or even next year…

No I am not trolling, but it would be great to see ANet respond to this topic…

No, the Precursor market is not controlled by goldsellers.

With all the people complaining about being lied to and disrespected, you’d think they’d be gone by now.

It’s a tough question. I want to say no because there’s no gated gear grind to artificially lengthen your play time. And then I realized how silly it is to pay to have your content be gated.

What do you call ascended gear? An amulet takes 30 days to get…

I’m getting mine in the next 5 days…
and I am a horrible player… so what does that say?

Things like buying roses for other people is kinda on their “Don’t give a Kitten” pile…

I think it might be an oversight since gems are account bound- they would have to make a whole new mechanic to make it gift-able.
Maybe they figured some flowers are better than none?
Maybe in the future we will be able to send gifts

There’s a word for that back in my day…

Elite players?

I personally never seen this but I seen players who hate it when a warrior walks into a dungeon with weak magic find armor or just plain ill equipped.

Now salty I am trying to find your argument, but it sounds like you are venting after being booted from bad party. I would suggest getting over it and finding a new party, if it happens that you die a lot … try to figure out the stats you need to survive or increase your role in the party.

Stop reading other people’s idea of builds, make your own… that way you know how to play that build. If you can’t tank, aoe some damage, if you can’t do that, go to healing and support, if you can’t do that… figure out what you WANT to do.

Ok seriously.... (Divinity's Reach)

Soulstar.7812

Well for one, it creates more group depth and teamwork than what we have currently. When the roles depend on each other rather than just work along side each other with rather homogeneous effects, many players find that to be more satisfying. After all, i bought this game thinking it was an MMORPG, not an online cooperative action / adventure game with platforming elements.

Firstly, no, it doesn’t. It places the fate of an entire group in the hands of 1-2 players who, if untalented, can ruin the experience for EVERYONE else. Failing because someone else failed at their one job? That is unacceptable to me. And it happened so often in GW1 that when GW2 promised “no trinity”, I was 100% on board with it before I’d even played so much as one second of the game. Losing because another player lacks skill isn’t my idea of fun. Me rescuing my entire party from certain failure in a dungeon by using my own dodging skills and clever tactics? THAT is good game play.

Secondly, let’s pretend for a moment that it does “create more group depth”. In what ways exactly? I see you say this all the time, but when asked for specifics, you can never actually provide examples of how this game’s combat is so vastly inferior to GW1’s. You just keep repeating the same thing. So now I’m putting you on the spot: how does GW1’s trinity gameplay “create more group depth”? I want specific examples.

I have responded, but it’s too long to put as a post so i am adding an attachment.

You know as an Engineer, I aoe damage but in less than a second I switch kits and become a healer…

This whole post seem ridiculous to me…

You can heal, sure, but you don’t become a healer in the true sense. Sustained, reliable, distinct…none of those descriptors fit with any healing options or even the base mechanics in this game. Obviously the breaking point is that many feel that homogeneous, indirect, and thoughtless healing on an irregular or burst basis is sufficient to act as a satisfactory and again, distinct support / healer role.

I see this as something all classes can do in one form or another. Those flavor differences are not viable, mechanical distinctions in my opinion. They don’t add much depth or risk / reward when they are not active, specialized role mechanics, but mere additions to the “jack of all trades, master of none” scheme that every profession in GW2 is a victim of.

Again this is just my opinion. What’s unsatisfactory to me may be satisfactory to you.

Not a true healer? LMAO

ok what part of healing others and buffing/debuffing makes me different from your definition of a healer….

tell me which part of my skills prevents me from doing so…

The Cantha Thread [Merged]

Cantha was my favorite GW1 region to work on. And I worked on every GW release. I know a lot of the dev team loved it and would love to revisit it. I kinda agree with critickitten about the negative aspect of tight corridors. Most of that came from hitting technological limits while trying to keep the epic quality of the concept art. I think we could do some really amazing things with those themes in our new engine. Certainly nothing is ruled out. I certainly encourage anyone to express your desire for a Cantha region in GW2 in a positive and friendly way. It could be years away, but it’s worth asking for.

my list:
1- Add more skills to our weapons (not right now but in future expansion cuz I know you need money to run the game and i’m willing to pay cuz this was the way in GW1 and it worked).this will make the game more fun and give a boost to PvP.

2-Add GvG. I’m not sure why it is not in the game are you affraid it will kill WvW.

3-Kill marshal Trahearne in the future story.

Why is WvW achievements mixing with PVE game?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Soulstar.7812

Soulstar.7812

WvW is PvE, and t/sPvP is PvP.
That seems to be what ANet defines the realms of play as. If you, the player, don’t agree then that doesn’t affect the game, only your enjoyment of the game.

The achievements known as dailies and monthlies are optional extras, you are by no means required to do them (until they added laurels for ascended necklaces) which makes it a case of bad form to complain about certain facets of the monthly because you don’t like to participate in that area.

Rrrrrrrrright
So it not their fault for forcing me to play a certain way… it’s my fault.

Why is WvW kills involved with Monthly Achievements?

Why am I forced to play WvW?… I thought this was about choice on what I wanted to play. I actually have to hop on WvW and hop on a zerg just to get the laurels for the monthly.

I am sure WvW players would be angry if they were forced to play PVE game.

This monthly achievements involve finding 30 jumping puzzles, and WvW… neither one is to my liking, honestly. Is this part of “PLAYING MY WAY” they were trying to sell me?

Divinity's Reach's Lonely Streets...

in Suggestions

Posted by: Soulstar.7812

Soulstar.7812

It makes me sad when i go to my home in Divinities Reach… It’s such a beautifully detailed city yet it feels empty when i go there…

So much effort has gone into creating so many huge and amazing cities in Gw2 but they go unseen by many because the game is designed in a way that doesn’t require you to be there apart from a few personal story quests.

I would like them to be:

  • more lively populated and have more of a social community feel to them.
  • a place where adventurers can meet and party up before going on there adventures.
  • a place where i can be more immersed in the world without literally role-playing.
Basically i want them to have more of a purpose!

My suggestion is simply to make event alerting npc’s for dynamic events be inside the cities as well. Maybe place npc’s in certain places to initiate some events?
Example: An npc run’s round divinities reach pleading for help, for a giant is attacking a village in Gendarran Fields! If you speak to him he will mark where it is on your map. Go and kill him and come back.

It probably won’t happen, but I can’t think of any reason for it not to be implemented.

I’ve got 100% world completion, but i’ve barely scratched the surface of all the fun events there are in the world to be completed and it’s not in my nature to run around in circles hoping something will pop up for me to do so i think this suggestion is 2 problems solved in 1 small adjustment.

You should have gone for the RP heavy servers, like Tarnish Coast.
