An OP class is a class that, in most general combat situations, outperforms the other classes by a reasonable margin.
So far I do not think we have classes like that.
we have the majority of classes that do well across the board, and then a couple that just dont do much of anything.

You should not be able to kill a cleric druid 1v1 but also the cleric should not be able to kill you either due to its lack of DPS

the balancing i am seeing the devs do does not reflect this method at all.
we see contradicting things like the recent nerfs to the druid. where a zerker druid is able to heal better than a cleric druid
(i use druid as an example a lot because i main one)

I disagree. Upgrades for a guild should be based on percentages that directly relate to a guild’s size or activity level. What’s not fair is for small guilds to carry the same weight as much larger guilds.
And I think it’s a bad idea overall to discourage smaller guilds. The world is big enough (or should be) for both types of groups.
This is a double edge sword.
Lets assume you are leader of a large guild and upgrading it would cost 1 million gold (due to your epic size). now your friend is in a 2 person guild with his wife and it only costs him 100 gold to upgrade it, because its a proportional system.
Step 1 Create a new guild with you and your officer
Step 2 pay 100 gold to upgrade
Step 3 Migrate your Epic guild (weeding out the inactives)
Step 4….
Step 5 Profit.
My opinion on guilds.
It should have been time based
I am in a 12 man guild, its small. its friendly, its fun and we play other games together too. the guild has been active since launch. I think that if we are active and participate, then we should be able to progress in our guild updates at a reasonable pace.
Instead of Material requirements it could have been event based.
just like claiming the guild hall that required a “mission” the same should have happened with the upgrades. For the Mine, you need to clear out caves of bats, kill the boss, hire some miners. Every week (guild hall mission) you need to clear out the mine as a mission to keep mining. im just brainstorming here.
have 3 missions, 1 to keep getting ressources, 1 to upgrade the hall and 1 to defend the hall.
The problem with the current system is that you have to pick either you or the guild. (this system is worse on pvp where you have to sacrifice your own character development) Our new members (like new to guild wars)
I will never feel right asking them to dish out their own gold and materials for the guild. On the other hand i would use them as meatshields in a mission. In all seriousness the new recruit would have more fun being part of a mission (scale them to 80 like in WvW) than having to farm materials and then give them to the guild instead of leveling their crafting or selling them for some cashy cash
All of those are tweaks. Nothing listed is even remotely a rework, just shifts in numbers or adding/removing an element onto the current version and not altering functionality.
Multiple tweaks has a way of creating substantial unbalance.

- #3 fix bug that puts us in combat
- #4 add a bleed and increase root to 3 seconds similar to entagle elite skill but at 50% effectiveness
- #5 make it last 15 seconds and is a dome (like mesmer skills)

- #1 Radius slightly larger and instant
- #2 Make it trap like mechanics
- #3 don’t change

- #5 change completely, make a new one similar to staff 5 but CA version
4 glyphs (first make the only new druid skills available under water, so far none are)

- all ultility (including the elite) glyphs should have their powers and range increased and their cooldown from 20 seconds to 30+ so more power more cooldown. so many times i am fighting mobs, i get out of melee range and I pop my elite, and none get tethered,
- add a small heal factor to activating the glyphs (on par with the new staff #2

the solution is to NOT generate AF if there is no target.
disabling auto attack is like saying

So same as the rev with 2 active legends the ranger will have 2 active different pets
P.s. elite would only work if select 4 types of pets are used. So if you have a pig equiped you would not have the f5 option to absorb.

Except now you can’t use the weights either on the gym floor, you can only use the machines. If you want to use the weights you need to pay for the pool

it’s not about the time you put into the event or time spent out of the event. it’s about your contribution to the event. (or your party’s contribution)
example (using arbitrary numbers for ease of calculations)
in a pewpew event 10 enemies spawn,
to get gold you need to get credit for 9-10 kills
to get silver you need to get credit 5-8 kills
to get bronze you need to get credit 3-5 kills
in a escort mission. you would get rewards based on the time spent protecting the target. (assuming 10 minutes to get from point A to point B. this is variable of course)
10 whole minutes = gold
less than 10 more than 5 = silver
less than 5 more than 2 = bronze
in a limited quantity fetch mission “thanks for your help” (10 items)
7 or more = gold
3-7 = silver
1-2 = bronze
Boss Events (this one is tricky)
use a calculation that allows % damage dealt “if solo” then split into G/S/B
use a calculation that allows % damage dealt “if party” then split into G/S/B
+ bonus 10% if spent 100% time (no deaths)in the event AND get a silver reward or more
the issue is that time is the wrong metric to use to calculate inactivity.

most people should be getting the silver reward as
gold is for exceptional participation
bronze is to allow people that came late to still get something,

While I miss the damage its a change for the better. Having a pet lay down a smoke field willy nilly would be another reason for people to shun rangers for.
I completely agree. One of my guildmates mains a Ranger and now I don’t have to set my status to offline whenever he logs on to run dungeons and Fractals of the Mists anymore.
This just proves how broken ranger pets are. you either tell them not to take xyz pets or block/offline/ignore/don’t invite them to fun stuff
In my opinion to the worse. Combofield blind sure, but most things on higher maps are immune to blind….. Better to have things that actually bites on the enemies as active skills.

I think the issue comes with the delay of the heal bombs.
- Verdant Etching and Grace of the Land (also CF#2) takes way too long to activate from the moment the “trap” is set and activation of the seed. By that time the party member is a mile away (or dead)
- CF#3 although it takes a while to drop, the radius is large enough that you can catch people in it. but the healing factor feels very weak considering the cooldown.
- Staff 2. kitten that thing takes a long time to reach the target, does minimal damage, and heals for the same amount as Staff1. (so whats the point of using it)
- Pets can now keep their names

nah that would be a semi reasonable nerf, if you want to pull an A-net nerf you need to go beyond nerf.
so AS ICD will be increased to once per day, reset at daily.
a good build for a ranger/ druid is probably rerolling a necromancer or a guardian. (pets and bows and traps)
Just talk to us Anet, at least you can explain to us any trouble that may be going on in the studio regarding Druid Balance conflicts. Maybe we can be best at providing a better idea for solving what ever troubles you all have with the Druid while still making is useful.

Justine, please resist the urge to be immature and condescending towards other players constantly. It gets tiresome and is entirely unhelpful, and it makes you look bad moreso than anybody else. More communication would benefit the Ranger community and help prevent mishaps like those involved with We Heal as One!, Celestial Avatar Force degeneration, Lingering Light, and the Smokescale pet. There will always be complaining on the forums, but that is no excuse for lack of communication.
Those were not “accident” changes. I think Lingering Light nerf was proposed, looked at, and just let happen knowing it would rub people the wrong way. As for my not-so-friendliness, I blame it on the ranger forum. But I will stop posting for awhile and see if it helps.

Also, the necromancers got 1 nerf, but that is ok since they explained the whole reasoning behind these changes and the community reacted "oh yeah that makes sense ok not cool but ok lets move on. Us rangers we get a nerf without explanation, reasoning or anything. also, if the nerfs were reasonable, ICD increased from 3 seconds to 5 seconds we would be ok its a nerf… sure not cool but ok lets move on. but no we get a IDC increased from 3 seconds to “does not cooldown can only be used once per account”

+1 man, I too was not fond of the Druid, but I learned to like him and now i am in love with him. finally i get a good build… a build that still is sub par with everyone esle but is fun to play, and its gets shoved to the ground bringing that build from sub par to completely useless.

Grace of the land needs a nerf, not this. The aoe damage buff is too strong. And only requires 1 druid, making 2 druids useless.
just give it a few days, they will destroy Grace of the Land aswell. but first they need to kill Ancient seed.

its 1 gold to swap pets and 20 silver to use their F2 skill.
also if they lose a pvp match they lose 5 pvp ranks

Go play druid PvP (which in my opinion was the only thing I would ever use this trait in) and you’ll find that, hey kitten me Druid still works fine. I will have to dissagree with you, giving the druid DPS is not the solution. CC and Heal Bombs is its thing. Same as the necro shroud where its only has 1 role, the druid’s celestial form should have the same.
on the other hand i agree with your statement that the druid is forcing me to play out of my condi ranger into a healing support spec. (if i want to use my elite, alternatively i can remain a sub par class (ranger)).
Monk should have been a 2nd new class with these exact abilities the druid has, and the druid should have become more of a HEAVY CC (like the mesmer) using vines and/or banners debuffing enemies.

Please don’t start with this crap. If you think 95% is extreme then you haven’t played PvE at a high level at all.
Mesmer illusions have 7-10k HP at most, mobs in fractal 50 swing for 7k autoattacks and some abilities hit as hard as 16-20k damage. We need that level of mitigation to sustain more fragile minions.
20k x .05 = 1k dmg.
I may not lvl 50 fractal but that seems excessive. Any other place in pve/wvw(yeah there are npcs ingame beside pve/lvl 50 fractal) it will 100% carry. I’m not upset, I can take the most glass pet over devourer and not have to manage pet or watch healthbar anymore.
Now multiply that by multiple sources. I take it you haven’t done Verdant Brink dynamic events on a mesmer. The amount of deadly AoE spam, especially on the Wyvern encounter, requires THAT kind of mitigation.
Correction 20k x 0.5 = 10k dmg. that equals dead pet
95% of 20k = 1k, which may be a bit too high but they are looking at it. I figure it’ll get down to the 60-70% mark eventually.
Very very very happy with the change, i’m glad spirits are being made viable and my pet won’t drop dead as I walk into a raid zone!

sry you also did your math the wrong direction. 95% of 20k is 19k (not 1k). so if your pet gets hit for 20k damage it will be reduced by 19k thus only receiving 1k damage.
so in the end it is EXTREMELY favorable towards rangers. Specially in PvP and WvW where people tend to ignore our pets.
So I found out the hard way, in the Jade Maw Fractal (20) you can’t pick up crystals while in Celestial Form. I believe you just can’t pick up anything while in that form.
Is this working as intended? Or do I need to cancel it just to pick up something.

AoE skills lock onto enemy targets that is fine… except staff 5 (the wall) is not an AoE but still locks onto target… kind of useless when you want it in front of the target
