I assume you mean with Blood Reckoning? Maybe that’s a big issue then, because I have always used healing signet. I guess the passive heal just isn’t enough at this point. I probably need to get better at using Blood Reckoning in that case. I agree it is sad about Power PS though. I get that Berserker meta was the norm for years and it got really stale, but I don’t think making condi so much stronger is a better alternative. I wish they were just equally viable, but hey…no sense in dwelling on that I guess.

Also, part of surviving fractals is killing kitten quickly and make less room for mistakes. I honestly dont understand why would you use healing signet when Blood reckoning is so kitten strong

You’re probably aware of the recent nerf to Arc Divider. If you thought it’s hard to heal in time before, right now it’s straight up impossible

I wish they were equal too, but that’s not that state the game is in right now. The game constantly changes, the meta shifts, and things are different to day now than before and they are different from what will be in the future, I understood that I shouldnt be fighting it.
Just try the CPS build, Im sure you’ll get used to it and love it eventually
And dont forget there’s an expansion soon !

The reason you’re not surviving is simply the nature of your play. Warriors heal by doing damage, which means puts a power PS build at 2 disadvantages:
1. Your whole damage is coming from Melee, meaning it’s dangerous to heal.
2. Nature of Power Vs Condi. See, the main damage mitigation for Power dmg is Toughness, which simply reduces the amount of dmg you do. For condi, the main damage mitigation is Vitality, which increases the amount of damage you need to do. Since on Condi your numbers will generally be higher than Power, you will heal more.

Also, specifically for fractals, Toughness scales a bit harsher than Vitality does, and as a result power builds lose more damage than Condis with the scaling

I was very sad about it too at first, Power PS is simply useless right now outside of very specific scenarios [Molten boss, Underwater combat and KC],
But I was pleasantly surprised with the CPS build, it’s more fun, it’s easy to use and it’s just straight up better.

While I do agree , it’s like you’re looking for something to complain about… It’s 1 click every few hours, Wth is this bothering you so much? why would Anet make a change about a single godkitten click every few hours?

Rev is good, especially Condi rev got a considerable buff recently
But currently Rev isn’t part of PvE meta and is a pretty bad choice for Raiding since some ppl get way too hung up on meta builds and might kick you from a raiding group just for being a Rev :\

But, rev has become way more popular recently since WvW became popular again after the recent update, and Rev is just invaluable in WvW. Also the buff to condi rev made him more popular in sPvP as far as I know, but I dont play this mode so much so you should probably wait for a more informed answer on that

Just emphasizing that Rev isnt bad for PvE, it’s just not meta and some ppl get hung up on that, and it’s awful.

Btw: Just want to say that I’ve been having this debate with myself as well and I ended up going for Warrior main. The current meta is really fun, and it’s just so much fun constantly playing with 25 might I recommend checking it out, but ofc it’s very subjective.

Every class is good at certain things. The things medium armor classes aren’t just that good for large scale, what can you do?

Thieves are obviously a very selfish class and clearly better at ganks and havoc. You could get a druid as a healer, I don’t see the problem with that honestly, and you could argue that Engi is a very good AoE class. I don’t know it well enough to know it’s capabilities though

In all honestly, I really want to play this build with Scepter/Warhorn. Whats your opinion on that? I dont like staff as much, and D/Wh has like zero range, which is very bad for WvW and surviving in general [And it’s an Ele we’re talking about here]

Hello. I’d very nice like to hear my Ele for healing, problems is I don’t know how useful can it be
Where and when are healer Eles wanted? 100CM is the first thing that comes in mind but I wouldn’t gear a character JUST for that. How about WvW? Raids? Would definitely like to learn about the the demand.

Also I would thank anyone who could share their build, especially if the gear has carry over to a other made modes (Wvw and Fractals, for examples)

“don’t matters” is definitely an overstatement, everyone matter and are entitled to their style of gameplay

BUT, I’ve seen it 100 times before: commander trying to pull off tricks and set up orders ahead, but half the zerg just can’t keep up because they’re not listening to him and we all end up up wiping.
TS is a very light program, I don’t understand why would you give up the immense benefits it offers for style of play like WvW. Playing without it straight up hinders your progress and therefore the world’s

There is a big difference between being rewarded for your dedication and literally getting rewards up to 7 times as fast.

-There’s currently 14 people ACTUALLY eligible for the “7 times” as fast
-It’s an incredibly long term goal, most people and even rather dedicated ones are at 2~3 pips extra over new people
-For the love of god stop whining about how fast other people get rewards and focus on you getting them. if you want the backpack so much go play the game and rank up. It’s like kindergarden in this thread

Am I the only one who’s been getting really bad screen freezes since I’ve installed the patch?
The game loads up, I have about 5 seconds to walk around, then the game freezes. Trying to alt+tab is futile, tried bringing up Cntrl+Alt+Delete brought up the windows screen but didnt bring up the Task manager. It’s like the PC is still running fine, but unable to graphically change anything from the frozen screen and the only choice is restarting the PC . (Done so about 4 times the last 10 minutes)

Would love some help, it was only after the patch was done installing ~_~

Hello! I haven’t been playing my Necro in a long while now and Im willing to get back to it
Before I’m getting all the necessary gear and stuff I wanted to ask about the state of Necro currently- How well is he accepted in raids? is there really an alternative for the Condi build or is it the only way to go? [I’m not really getting suffice information from the qT website about the viability of the builds]

And about sPvP- Whats a good build to get back to solo queuing? Whats the current strengths and weakness you feel I should get updated on?

I’ve tried to do “My Friends, The Smiths” in act I where you have to revive all those smiths
I’ve found their bodies but I wasn’t able to press F to revive them :|

I’m back in the game after a few months of traveling, and I’m looking to get join for a guild
I mainly PvE [Raid, daily fractals, etc], but also have fun PvPing and WvWing [FA currently] every once in a while

I main power Warr, also have a Guad and Rev fully ascended, and Ele+Mes ~90% Ascended

My only request is to join a friendly, FAIRLY active guild to casually socialize and run some content with. My main problem is that I’m in EU time zone [GMT+3] and need a guild with an active player base at these times

Tried to have some balance between damage and sustain, although I kinda doubt this build will sustain much at frontlines, and seeing how Hammer has a pretty large range and does good damage, I suppose rev might be more appropriate for midlines …

I’m looking for a guild that regularly raids and I can find partners at,
My timezone is GMT+2 so the active times should be somewhere comfortable for GMT players, but I’m also quite flexible on that.
I have full ascended gear and a variety of professions (Warr as main, Mesmer, Necro, Guardian and Rev).
Got TS and Discord with Mic, ofc.
And additionally I’m quite experienced with the VG encounter, also I haven’t got to try many other encounters.

What I’m not flexible about are 2 things:
1st, rep requirement. I already have a main guild and I’m not willing to constantly rep (Unless we’re at the time of a raid ofc), I’m just looking for a community.
2nd, patience. Not looking for elitist that kick and scream, I want to have a nice time. As I said, I’m not all that experienced with all the encounters so I’ll need a learning curve, but I’m a quick learner.

Side note:
I’ll be extremely happy if I could find partners for higher tier fractals (Currently I’m a T3 and building myself up, although it’s quite annoying PUGing all the time), although that’s not a requirement.

Yea Im pretty sure Rifle is superior for power builds
I try to play it somewhat like a GS, doin’ Signet of fury (since Headbutt is a close up thing)—>Berserker—>Gun flame—>Volley—>Gun flame—>Blood reckoning—>Gun flame
But then I get lost :\ I barely get a 3rd gun flame most of the time

For times when you just can’t melee, you’re on a meta build and you just have to use that rifle.
Whats the top DPS skill rotation?

So the problem is that I’m lagging heavily (2k+ Ping) at evening time (My time zone), which is basically the prime time of the game and the most people are logged in
At daytime I don’t have any problem at all, ping around 100~300, but somewhere at 6 PM (GMT+3) the ping sky rockets to 2k.

I’m from Israel (meaning REALLY far away from the servers)
Initially when I played the game I had no lagging issues at all for more than 2 years. This problem started about a year ago. I struggled with it for a while, tried doing whatever I can but eventually I just had to quit the game
I started playing again like 2 weeks ago and the problem persists…

As it stands I’m unable to play my favorite game because of kitten technical issues, be it my PC or the servers, I really need some help

Ele has always been my favorite class, though I have abandoned it quite a few times simply because I feel extremely squishy
Not only is it extremely squishy in nature, but on a D/W build (what I like playing, honestly) there isn’t even an option to weapon swap and use range
I’d really like some tips, especially on bosses, I’m feeling a barely survive even the simplest encounters :|

I’m a returning player, I haven’t been playing since beginning of 2016 and I’m excited to get back to the game
My favorite mode used to be WvW back in the day where you could find quite large population in it daily, though the mode has been dying since (And the final nail in the coffin was HoT and Desert Borderlands …)

I understood there were some significant changes during this year, I’d be extremely thankful if anyone could just generally explain the major changes and where things are right now.

Also I’d love to find a WvW focused guild, would be happy if anyone contacted me in private (I’m in FA, if it still matters.)

I’ve taken a break from the game for a few months, logged in today and all the changes were quite overwhelming, I’m not sure what to do next.

I have a request, I hope some people will be nice enough to help me-
I need a breakdown of the significant changes since then (Like new maps, raids and whatnot)
Breakdown of the meta (Shortly where each profession stands… I remember Warriors being in a really bad place in PvP for example, Guards being in a bad place at PvE and such)

And the most important thing- Whats the status on WvW overhaul? This was put off for a while, I have no idea if they made the changes already or not, but I’ve waited a long time for this. I used to be a mainly WvW player, and it was in a horrible state for quite a long time

I haven’t played since then dropped Gliding in vanilla GW2 maps and the last raid wing was dropped, so about 10 months I think?

There is no response from nodes 3, 8 and 9 so its hard to determine where they are located. It looks like there may be some service outages or issues. Since you said this only started within the week I would try another run at ping plotter if you are still having the issue. If it produces the same results I would contact your ISP and ask for their help, its not their issue but they have the knowledge and ability to help. You could submit a support ticket to Anet but I don’t think there is much they will be able to do on this.

Your connection to any servers to Seattle is not fine. It’s not just the game. Your ISP probably won’t do anything about it unfortunately. They can tell the providers at the nodes to fix or upgrade them but that’s about it as far as I’m aware.

Hey, I’ve been playing Guild Wars 2 for more than 2 years now
I’m from Israel, though I never had any latency issues.

During the last week I haven’t been able to play at all.
On uncrowded times I seem to have a really high ping (Latency of 4~5 seconds), and on crowded times I just can’t even login. The game is trying to load for like 40~60 seconds, and then says that the client crashed .

I haven’t had any issues with my internet connection anywhere else, so I honestly have no idea what causing all this :\

Because honestly this build is really selfish for Zerg play,
And if you’re talking about that roaming then I’m definitely not the person to answer

Personally, I’ve played a Charrdian for a while at first I kinda liked it but after a while I just a started to see how clunky the animations are, and how honestly none of the outfits fits charrs, everything looks awful.

Went Norn after this and never looked back, definitely the way to go for me awesome animations with the best outfits by far

Hello, I’d like to reroll my Charr guardian into a Norn one. Problem is, my current guardian is my first character and I’m afraid I won’t be getting birthday gifts from the time I first opened my account.

Charr guardian you said? In that case, screw the birthday gifts and purge this abomination for good.

(… as others have pointed out, the birthday-gifts are character-bound. However, there are several items that end up being account-bound, such as the scrolls, minis or dye. If you have other characters created around launch, I don’t think that deleting this char(r ) is much of an issue).

He was created several months after launch, meaning he still doesn’t have his 3rd birthday gift but should get it soon…
Anyhow, I guess I’ll just delete another character or something

Yes the Hammer dps was tested. You can find the videos on youtube and reddit. It’s the third best dps for raids behind Tempest and Thief (especially for Sabetha).
