The tooltip says 5, but does that mean all 2 (or 3) grenades together can hit 5 targets or does it mean every single grenade can hit 5 people?
Yep, but you would have to do the math to find the exact number. What’s your idea, btw?
I try to create an grenadier-engineer build and try to find out when it is better to invest in critical chance + ferocity rather than in power.
Can a high critical chance together with high critical damage compensate for lack of power?
What do you pour your trait-points into?
@Swag Captain: Can you link me a build for this?
There are so many good looking shields in the game, I would like to create a character that uses a shield.
Three classes can carry a shield: warrior, guardian and engineer.
Which of the classes I should choose?
Warrior has a defence against projectiles with the right trait, but is it worth the points?
Guardian can grant protection and absorb projectiles, but with a hammer and wall of reflection one can reach the same.
Engineer has good abilities with a shield, but since you can than only carry a pistol in the other hand this would have to be a condition damage build.
What to do?
Does someone know a build focused on Lightning Hammer, maybe with 6 points in fire for persisting flames?
With my Tequatl and Great Jungle Worm group, you have to be there at least 1 hour before the events – otherwise the server is full.
Same problem with crown pavilion, you always need to wait until a place is free on the server.
This is very frustrating, such events need coordination via teamspeak.
Is there no way to solve this problem and get people who want to play as a team on one server quickly?
I want to play a warrior but I don’t want to use a greatsword (every warrior I see seems to run around with that, it seems boring).
My character will be an Asura and I find that fighting with 2 weapons looks funny with them, so I think I will use an axe for the main hand.
Also, I don’t like to play berserker builds, I need some toughness.
Does someone know a build with good defence and group support?
I seek a pistol/pistol build for PvP.
My idea is to pick out a target, get him down and vanish.
I often saw thieves who were unfinishable, they used stealth 3 times in succession.
How do they do that, what build do they use?
“god knows when I see the next”
If you’re 35, at 36.
In-Game : /wiki Traits
Link: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Traits#Trait_pointsSorry, but any time easily accessible information is questioned, I feel compelled to make posts like this.
Thanks for the link.
I think 1 trait-point every 5 levels starting with level 15 would be better.
I’m levelling an elementalist, she is level 35 now.
Last skill point I got when on level 30, god knows when I see the next.
Elementalist is not an easy class, with the old system my character would have much better stats on the level.
I think the skill system should be changed back.
Because the account of a friend has been hacked I re-activated the authentication per e-mail system.
But I have great troubles with it, I get error messages since 2 days and often I cannot log in for hours.
What is the problem?
I never played a Mesmer, but now I like to try and I would like to level my character in PvP.
Now I need a build and my idea is to create a build based on Maim the Disillusioned.
Is a torment-build good for PvP?
Which talents should I take and what rune and amulet?
What is best: critical damage, condition damage or hybrid?
no, rather it is you dont get the benefits of traveler while under swiftness.
But the other buffs I get?
Is it true that when you equip 6 Superior Runes of the Traveler you cannot profit from swiftness?
How much toughness does a thief need for PvE, dungeons and fractals up to level 20?
How much is too much and causes aggro problems?
The general idea is to apply blindness and vulnerability to enemies via F1, flashing blade and ray of judgment while buffing allies with might via F1 and empowering might.
Opinions?
@obal: Thanks for the link, I just cannot understand how that guy can have 2127 armor with 916 toughness and berserker stuff.
Where does it come from?
I have a guardian on 80 now and want to go dungeon farming.
So I made a build that can work with hammer or greatsword, depending on what the group wants/needs.
But since I never played a guardian other than in PvE I’m not sure if it’s any good, so please have a look on my build:
It would be great when Signet of Inspiration would be changed to give a 25% speed bonus all the time instead of randomly giving swiftness.
I need 2 major talents to complete my build but although I reached level 76 I do not get talent-points any more.
What’s wrong?
Just for fun I made this Ele build.
With earth attunement it does over 11 000 bleeding damage with 2nd staff attack.
What is the best class for killing stuff with condition damage in WvWvW?
Is there a formula for this?
When I take a set of runes that increases protection duration, will it also affect the duration of Symbol of Protection from the hammer?
I would like to try it, but I have no idea how to get started.
Which class, what build, which arena?
I have a thief and a necromancer on level 80 and I’m levelling a guardian.
Can someone help with some tips?
So I cannot get perma blind for more than one enemy at the same time?
When you combine Justice is Blind (Radiance V) with Permeating Wrath (Virtues XI) do you get an AoE blind effect?
With or without activating Virtue of Justice?
So: do you have a good build for me?

Please.
Other city outfits can always be bought from the gem store for those who wish to have them but every race should have an unique style.
1. I Need an allrounder build for PvE, dungeons, zerg WvW and the fractals (max level 30).
Is that possible?
2. Is a spirit weapon build good for that job?
I want to have some unique city cloth, I don’t like my cute Asura girl to wear them same stuff as humans and Norn!
I have lots of them in my bank, can I make some meaningful use of them?
PvE and dungeons.
I don’t like the short bow because of the positioning requirement for bleed.
So I tried to make a condition damage build with axe instead.
That’s it.
With the hammer build you can apply perma protection which is a net 33% damage reduction which is waaaaay more superior to any toughness you can get from your gear.
What about mace/shield? 2x protection and faster than hammer.
What about a build based on having up retaliation as often as possible?
Would that work for fractals?
Currently getting a pet is like picking up a towel from the floor: You just click on the animal and you have it and the pet has all skills from the beginning.
Why not give rangers the option to tame their animals and to train them up, unlocking their special abilities with some mini-quests?
everything at fractal 50 will pretty much 1shot you anyway,
I don’t want to do fractals at level 50.
I want to go level 30 only.
Guardian,
20/25/0/0/25
Greatsword+Swordfocus
Zerker+scholarrunes+Force/nightsigilsor
15/25/0/20/10
Hammer+whateveryouneed
Zerker+scholarrunes+force/nightsigils10/30/0/5/25 is still alright (until the update) and 15/15/0/20/20 also works
Why so little toughness?
So: What guardian build is good for the fractals?
Like Natsu said : Either the Dungeon Meta, or the Hammer build. The difference come from the Protection that the hammer give you in melee. In dungeon, you don’t really need protection at all, but in fractal, some Bosses are harder to melee so having 1 Guardian giving constant protection in melee can help a great deal. The guardian will lose a bit of dps, but if the whole party can melee and not range the boss, then you gain a great deal of DPS.
I don’t like hammer because it is so slow.
So: What guardian build is good for the fractals?
I want to create a character for farming the fractals but I’m not sure which class.
First I thought upon a guardian but than I had the idea that warrior would perhaps be better.
What is your advice?
Level would be up to 30.
Can someone here come up with a Death Shroud build for PvE & WvWvW (zerg) for the time after the patch?
I like to join this thread.
I tried to make a build for solo roaming and would like to know if it will work.
The build is based on poisons.
Build.
I tried to create a build based on reflecting damage and I came up with this.
Would be great if I could get some help to make it better. :-)

But you would not need offensive pressure when they kill themselves.
