No chest at all – you don’t get cinematic and teleport. you stay on platforms. If you die you respawn in starting spot
This needs a quick fix as fast as possible.
AoE 150 ferocity for party instead of the 5 minor spite trait (might when below % hp)
I haven’t felt like playing GW2 in a long time. I’ve pretty much only been playing because of not knowing what else to do because I want to still play an MMO. This one I thought would fit the bill.
Still debating whether or not I want to keep it installed. I ponder it daily.
Try to find enjoyment in an area of the game you never explored completely. I know you like hard jumping puzzles/goating, maybe try Scavenger Chasm in Malchor’s Leap? Or the one in Lornar Pass with griffons. Yesterday I was walking in Iron Marches in Dragonbrand, I’ve never been there before, I felt like exploring a new map

This is certainly a bug. I can understand ranger axe throw being replaced by the proper axe skin, I don’t understand “life blast” being a dagger. I understand if thief throws proper skin of his dagger with #4, but wtf life blast… I want to blast my foe with life force, I don’t want to throw infinite amount of tiny daggers -.- This is extremely immersion breaking.
How far can you guys solo in TA Aetherpath? (Using +1 for ooze puzzle, and +3 for electric floor, but solo the rest)

I really doubt you can get pass sparki&slick :c Maybe with some dire set, never tried, but I rly doubt a berserker/assassin build can manage solo in this fight, this is an encounter that gets harder over time and has too many factors for a soloer x.x
even if you kill sparki, slick will spam even more oil pools, good luck with that DoT + his auto + his jump attack(fear) + the constant need of pulling ooze or being eaten by DoT + his big hp pool
I also don’t know if you’re saying it’s bad or it’s good. Anyway we have now a topic about this skill so I can share my opinion.
This is very nice elite for solo/duo situation especially for mesmer, as it provides long chill and burn, has a mini “ice bow” attack, big hp pool, he hits for 1K per bite (not much, but it’s something!)
It can be used as mesmer to make initial burn at shoggroth and then upkeep it with thievery (bad party situations).
but most importantly, this wolf will draw aggro from everything in the game for as long as he lives and this is awesome
I believe ANet designed this wolf to ‘help’ begginers so they made him being aggroed everytime xD
I would also recommend it for condi necro soloers, as it’s free burn (and chill and aggro)

When you are necromancer and use marjory dagger, your #1 attack from death shroud makes you shoot marjory dagger instead of the usual projectile… this is so ugly and almost invisible, please fix this bug!

Fav – Arah. It’s a city I dreamed of exploring since GW1, always been wondering how does it look like… + Seeing Lupicus for the first time was a thrilling experience – again, I saw their bones in GW1 and wondered how would they look like.
Apart from that, I love skipping. I love when I watch people die on skips. I love lupicus fight. etc.
I must note, my second fav is aether, I really like it
Most hated – CoF. Simply because EVERYTHING, even chairs, is lava. It’s so dull and ugly, brrr…
I’m going to use Divinity’s Reach just as a baseline for how large the smallest dungeons in the game ought to be.
In terms of actual real estate, all dungeons should cover at least as much ground as Divinity’s Reach, and many should be even larger than that.
In addition, they should get rid of these linear story paths – and make dungeons truly exploration based – they should just be places you go to delve as deep as you can, facing whatever challenges you find along the way.
I don’t like how the dungeons resembled personal story – and how the actual path you take is just go from one room to the next, kill a few things, go to the next room.
I want vast – VAST – cavern complexes and castles. Going miles into the earth.
And I want to be able to log out inside a dungeon and resume when I log back in. Dungeons could take several days to explore the entirety of them.
Also, they should have small DE’s just like the open world.
Talking about Skyrim, it’s a shame we don’t get to fight with lesser, smaller dragons in this game :C

Discovery: elementalist #5 on earth focus (obsidian flesh) grants probably the same invulnerability – I just absorbed AC Spider Queen poison field projectile (it didn’t drop the aoe, Invulnerable popped out and that’s it). I assume it will work on ooze too.

If you are too low level for monsters, you deal glancing hits. If you attack a monster and it’s invulnerable, it probably mean’s the monster can’t get to you, so the anti-cheat system makes the mob immortal, so you can’t afk-kill
The Bane (charr arena) should really be used for either: pvp 1v1/2v2/whatever arena
or: solo/duo/5man/whatever boss fights with rewards for killing them + gambits. they should be very hard though, if they gonna be replayed over and over

I would also like Minions in Dungeons to have much much more HP and scale stats from the master.
Minions only inherit the necromancer’s Condition Damage, Condition Duration, and Boon Duration attributes. <——- they should inherit everything
Please do not change ooze font puzzle. It works as intended. Do you really want to make everything pug-friendly? This game is too easy in its current state. It’s a learn to play issue, not a design issue. Even Caithe gives some tips for new players. Seriously, if they can’t do this it’s their problem, they are too bad. Why does the game have to lower it’s level to noobs, instead of noobs advancing their levels? If you can’t do something, you figure out what you are doing wrong, instead of deleting content.
Please, bring more coordination puzzles in dungeons. They are awesome.
Developers said that they wont introduce hard mode dungeons, because explorable dungeons are meant to be hard mode, and story mode is meant to be casual friendly.
On a side note, I agree with the dredge fractal revamp. Doing puzzles is much better than killing endless waves of trash mobs. That’s why I want Ooze Font to stay.
If someone in your party doesn’t communicate and yet you decide to keep him in your dungeon – it’s your own fault, not the design fault.
Look at dungeons this way: they are not meant for everybody. People shouldn’t expect “hardcore” content to be meant for everyone…
I have a question for people for hardcore aetherpath players, everytime I get in melee range (EVERY TIME) he throws me in the air and straight into the lighting field, I tried using stability, break stun, position myself better. Nothing seems to work, it,s rather annoying and I haven’t been able to succefully dodge it, any tips on that?
But stability works. With stability he will launch you in the air a little, but won’t move you. This attack has no casting time though. And remember you can break stun.
He doesn’t throw you to the electric field on purpose – he throws people exactly behind him, so yes, you should position better
Necro was my main, and patches like this are the reason why I now have a lvl 80 char for every profession.

aether: electric panels puzzle – pulling hologram
aether: clockheart fight – for additional hologram pushing (and eventually soloing/playing safe – clockheart in melee deals perma weakness)
aether: ooze font – for additional elemental pushing
also if your party decides at Clockheart to do the “wipe and stack” tactic, you can pull clockheart with gs. (in a way that he wont throw gear, you need to hit him and los immediately so he can’t use the skill, elementalist fireball is easier for this, because its a flying projectile, so ele can los before it hits)

I know of someone who received a ban after literally AFK 2-manning, face-tanking some boss kills in full Cleric gear. The ban message was extremely vague, and he had done nothing else out of the ordinary that he suspected could warrant a ban.
Yeah that’s why I’m curious, the dev post says “Avoiding mechanics by standing in a singular area isn’t an exploit, it’s possible bad dungeon design”

I hate it the most when people exploit Belka by making her not teleport (thus removing fundamental mechanic of the encounter), record it and upload as if it was a legit run.
Gw2 should have a party leader system. Leader being the only one able to kick others. When leader leaves, somebody else gets the leader rank. It’s not perfect, one person can troll or be jerk, but it’s the best option possible.

I disagree with the Aetherpath suggestion… it’s 80lvl high-end pve dungeon path, I don’t want it to become easier. More holograms in Clockheart fight? Are you serious? This is end-boss, it’s supposed to be hard, If you fail to kill hologram at boss, another one spawns elsewhere. If you fail to do this at all, you can still interrupt his power attack, even if he has shield on >.>
If aether is going to be changed, I would only make the cinematics skippable.
Aetherpath is my favorite dungeon in the game. In general, it rewards situational awareness, movement, and the smart use of control abilities, rather than stacking and raw DPS. For those same reasons, it’s also a total pug killer, which is why it’s done less.
It’s as close to a hard mode as we’re going to get for GW2 dungeons.

Explorable mode was meant to be the hard version of a dungeon. Story mode was meant to be casual-friendly. I am against making explorable dungeons easier. I want ooze font to stay – it’s very simple puzzle once your team know the strategy (pulling elementals to the back of the room).

Yeah – what means does Tyria have to interpret such mysterious visions? I think the best would be renovating Eye of the North and using the Scrying Pool to understand the vision. What else do we have. Sylvari secondborn witch, I don’t remember her name. Scholar Yissa might know if it’s about Mursaat. Maybe communicating with The Forgotten, or asking Kormir to help via Door of Komalie portal? She is the goddes of truth in the end, and she is so close to us (assuming she still lives inside her realm there).
The druids live in the maguuma for so long, maybe they would recognise something.
or we can simply heal Pale Tree so she can explain everything, but it would be boring…
