Because I do aether daily and it amuses me how always warriors die due to the spinning attack if they have aggro. I don’t play warrior often, but I think gs3 + 2 dodges should be inuf to survive it. He casts it too often though, so the 3 sec block would be nice I guess (sword block would be interrupted because it’s not such attack like lupi’s frienzed blast :<)
As a mesmer, I just use dodge+blurred frenzy so it’s a faceroll xD

Take berserker anyway. You can take shield for foreman Spur’s spin attack to survive.
just click ESC when casting the counterattack and you interrupt it
its also useful when killing p1 boss. take the healing skill Mirror and interrupt it when its about to be completed. this way you can reflect projectile every 4 seconds.

i tried it on mesmer yesterday. its fun to see it few times, but when pugs really start doing it as 100% current strategy it kinda breaks my heart

I did some testing.
Distortion from 3 clones + jumping inside elite ooze = NO SPLIT
Distortion from 3 clones + jumping inside ancient ooze = NO SPLIT
Distortion from 3 clones + jumping inside ancient ooze smashed into wall = luck dependant. 1 champ may appear.
Bugged phantasmal warden.
…if Lupicus would visit grawl shaman in 50lvl fotm o.O
remember agony doesn’t work on mobs.
Next time I’m going to use distortion from 3 clones and go INSIDE the ooze.

I tried this second time and it didn’t work.
What I know for sure, when I used distortion from 3 clones, and one of the gunks flied accidentally at me, I had the text ‘invulnerable", gunk disappeared, and only 1 champion was spawned. That’s why I tried feedback. When I used feedback for the first time I also used mass invi, so idk maybe it was just because of the stealth. I think using untraited wardens could destroy the gunks for sure but it would be very hard to time it properly….
I suppose the 2 gunks are unblockable projectiles. Sorry for the misinformation

When it evades you can use feedback and the champs wont spawn
edit: i was wrong, feedback doesn’t work. though you can use distortion from 3 clones and jump inside it to absorb the gunks, and champs will not appear!

did anyone figure out how to destroy the healing seeds in challenge mode? i didn’t. i had to outdps the healing of the seeds and i died 2 times, eventually killed the boss on the first try and got achievement. i needed to be fast though. i think destroying the healing seeds would be easier but reading their shield buff didnt teach me anything. i couldn’t damage them. good thing it’s over.
PS. ANet, please add MORE challenging achievements. these aren’t challenging at all. I want hard achievements with UNIQUE rewards like a title for a really hard accomplishment.
you need dna buff , then you can destroy it .
and how do you get it?
Rework mantras. Make them basically 3 charges. And the trait which increased their numbers previously, should make them stronger. Like healing mantra heal more (and % of heal for others in aoe), condi mantra strip more condis, stability mantra break stun from others and longer stability + vigor, distraction mantra stunning target, pain mantra more dmg, aoe, stripping boons.
And add elite mantra that launches target away. (force unleash)
Another idea, or rather bug fix: make phantasms and clones use our % dmg increase! Phantasm is MY attack, MY spell, why doesn’t it deal 10% more dmg? sigil says it increases MINE dmg and phantasm is obviously my dmg….

I agree 100%… especially when the achievement is “jump to avoid dmg”
this is engineer related bug. they destroy holding objects when changing kits on skill bar, something like that
I just can’t stand that I have to go through all the cinematics and dialogs all the time when I want to repeat the fight for achievement. There should be a ‘Skip Mote’ to proceed straight to the fight. Really.

I dont know what happened but for few days my skills are not really responsive. For example, I always could weapon swap and instant click a skill like block. Now, I weapon swap and click the block, but nothing happens. I have to wait like 1 sec for the character to use it. Even without weapon swap my skills don’t react on time.
When I try to whisper to somebody, occasionally nothing happens. I right click comeone in Y or G and choose “whisper” and then nothing. Chat doesn’t open, etc.
And then… like 5-10 minutes later, suddenly out of nowhere, the whisper chat opens. If i click to disable writing, it opens again and it continues as many times as I tried to whisper before. It’s very frustrating bug.
it should absorb every projectiles it blocked through casting time and then unleash them in the same order
i did lvl 50 with pugs. toughness ring. i feel cheated.

Mesmer burst can be pretty awesome on spear and against a wall. Their #2 skill is like a mini fgs. 5>3>mirror images>f1>2>auto

illusionary elasticy should work for clones on staff too :/
tip for mesmers: run shatter build and take portal. when the terminal is going to be destroyed, run to corner, spawn portal, get teleported and AVOID COMBAT, then wp to the waypoint at Belka and spawn portal. use terminal again and continue the fight
they only situation where i use shatter build (44006) in pve is arah p2 end boss – brie, where illusions deal 0 dmg.
maybe even crystalline entities. and that would be it o.o
oh and i used shatter build in the living story instance in fort salma, where you need to kill 3 mobs ultra fast before they kill seraph, to get achievement. apart from that i don’t see where else would it be optimal.
ANet should just make it possible to swap weapon skills like utilities, they could for example edit every skill to be condition dealing or direct dmg dealing etc, the same with leap – forward or backwards :P
Illusions have problems with attacking a large underwater structures like King Crab in Malchor’s Leap. They swim around it all the time and do nothing
