you know what? raids vg should be made harder by boosting vg hp and cc bar so that, only 0.1% of gw2 players total population are able to counter the boss. the rest can keep trying everyday hours and hours to get it done or never get it done! :P you want challenging content there you go!

or, you can make Easy, Medium and Hard mode, so we can have higher % of guild wars population to be able to access it. more people play, you keep your players happy.

Yes. Done it with the TS community, that is how we got the Smash the dragon. continue damage after breaking first CC bar using the launch pad, will push the dragon’s hp bar to lower which bring in the heal crystal. after heal crystal, next CC bar comes and the next CC break, big dps will kill the dragon as a result – “Smash the dragon” achievement done.
this needs coordination from everyone in the map, everyone to use the launch pad. Skll 1 on launch pad is very strong also for damage.
it is the intention of Anet to make this kitten event for people to try to communicate via map chat getting everyone to coordinate together and achieve what it needs.
and btw, the backpieve reward is pretty. i like it.

btw, all other achievement is easy peasy, but————- smash the dragon, and no fly achievement are two that needs MAP COORDINATION. needs people to work together. if one say 1, the other do 2.. it wont work.

Ele better heal.. but druid …dat party damage boost is nice

we joined the organised community group and managed to get the smash the dragon two days ago. as for no fly, we will need to do more, but we dont need no fly for 10/10 reward
are you in EU? the EU ts community host a few attempts daily.

me and my husband has perma 400-600 ping, after a few weeks of raiding, we are getting tired now .. and gradually letting it go.

all i have to say is that… it really sux!!

btw, thanks for the EU community event organiser, we managed to get “smash the dragon” two days ago

speaking from down under (Australia) playing in EU server. we have difficulty in using the launch pad. i played with my husband sitting next to me, when i use the launch pad, i see my character spin and launch up and spin forever in the air towards the direction of the shatterer (glider couldnt open even if i hold it down the entire time), when she reached the maximum height, she came down spinning and land on the ground sometimes dead, soemtimes still alive. While looking at my husband’s computer, my character actually were on the launch pad entire time spining and then after a long while spinning, she dissapeared and appear afar i guess she gets teleport immediately to the location which she landed.

somtimes, the launch pad skills doesnt appear too.
a bit dissapointed in general how the game mechanic does not cover for higher ping players. we would appreciate that if in the future addition, the game will not be too harsh to us. and Thank you for the glider fix. we can actually fly now. hopefully same fix will happen for mushroom jump/launch pad etc.

Im a bit concern with how our team can manage the dps without gliding………

Fire, one advice if it helps. just dont think about it, theres plenty of other things we can do in the game. just step away and take what it comes. my husband and i plays in EU and we are oceanic players, hving average ping 400 and sometimes 600, we raid twice a week (approximately 3 to 4 hours per week) Monday and Saturday, whatever we can get from the raid we leave it as tht. This week we only managed to get VG done. last last week we got both vg and gorse within first 40 mins. but last week we had disaster. :P
Also we have two children one is 8 months old, one is 5, so we cant really play a lot. and our play time is EU morning when everyone either go to work or sleep. I am glad that we have a big bunch of people that willing to come and help us whenever we are forming to me its not about getting a full run but its about doing what we can at best. people that comes to help us, they either cleared the entire wing already or maxed their shard. so there are nice ppl out there, I just learnt to take it easy as times goes. you know the song, let it go, let it go :P
we basically almost giving up trying. just do what we can.

btw, thanks for fixing the glider, its amazing we can fly like others now, the ping hurt us so much in raids. u hv to be in my shoe to know how frustrating it is.

Thanks angie.. we finally got it last night after a few days attempts. i got a few friends around to come and help and pming those who wants ap what to do.. we basically try to balancing the cc and dps so we get to push the boss to the last phase. :p bit tricky but it works. Anyway, we will be around to help others.
We had to manage the squad chat as there are ppl who are willing to help and there are ppl who doesnt feel like helping others :p

thanks for sharing. we might try that. I have perma ping 400, and die a lot in gorse. very frustrating at times.. this might help but would you mind sharing your build? herald keeping perma protection up and who is doing the perma regen?

it has been few attempts me and my husband tried to get the nuhoch lane achievement, I even tried to tag up in a hope i can get people to do it with us.. but people do not listen and always kill it very fast.. they don’t seem to care to take the boss to the last phase.
seems like, those who missed the achievement in the earlier days during the game just came out will never get the achievement. We couldn’t participate in this meta events earlier due to many good reasons. the set up of achievement should be made possible for any attempt not just the start of the launch of game.

Please fix this so we can do this boss for achievement without ruining by others who already had the achievement and don’t care to help.

Bcos at current state.. they hv made ele even more easy to play and more offensive thsn before.. without hving to do many stuff ..thts how i feel.

i been having a lot of fun with overloading since after update and hot when everyone was crying about how rubbish tempest is etc etc and how useless warhorn is blah blah.. now that more people adopting it.. i can see nerf is coming! :P plssssss dont nerf

i started condition burn tempest for vale guard when it first started.. did S/x (i like offhands dagger or warhorn), using fire and earth traits maximising condi damage by converting toughness and power into condi damage with traits Power Overwhelming & Strength of Stone — sometimes i take Pyromancer’s Training instead of power overwhelming. Also use Written in Stone for fire signets.
For utility I take signets of fire and feel the burn, glyph of storms and glyph of elementals..
I think its playable ^.^

my feel is .. probably wont be so soon. because they need to have a good population in current raid first before releasing the new part.. otherwise it wont be a good transition into new wings.. and people that has already completed the current raid are still doing it on weekly basis and will continue to do so for a while.

we do full fractal daily run everyday! :P everyday, there is 1 person in the team at least get an asc chest. yesterday was asc glove to a friend. this week, i gotten 2 asc chests, one weapon the other gloves. i think its from the high lvl fractal daily chest.
two days ago, i got an asc weapon, while another friend tag along he gotten a weapon chest. so.. yeh do the 3x 50-100 fractal daily i believe it has higher chance.

btw.. what about a team of 10 necros

easier to find people or jump into group on monday after reset.. so this is probably the best time to do raids if you are new.. and learn through the hardway if you dont have a dedicated team xD

after i jump.. i hold space bar down… and hope for the best.. many times i died instead.. or fly way way above the clouds to visit jesus

I salv a few amulet using guild commendations and get zero drop………. so i salv my rangee’s asc glove /screamss and got 1

^ for raids – for dps race, every dps count .. hence if cant dodge kd.. it will be lost of dps overtime

dungeon & fractals. any profession is fine.. pretty much easy run with eye shut or you can play multi tasking.
with raids, 200ping u can dodge boss attack alright. .. I have 400ping at best harder to time some attacks

if we play in NA there is a lag too at 200 ave ping.

it hurts have to admit and worse if 3 heading to green circle at the same time. dodge out and dodge back in. also use some skills to negate damage if not push them away.

we do suffer a bit the ping while playing in EU. theres a few other aussie players in our guild. i am not sure if it is worth for you to try swaping to EU server but if you really have no one to play with, perhaps it is worth trying.

use exo gear from WVWVW vendor (as they can be salv back for expensive runes), get asc trinkets, and if can get asc weapon it will be great!
we enjoyed raid. its fun. but if it scale down a little for second boss, it will be better. as oceanic player in EU server, we lag. the lag affect gliding and also jumping platform and bomb throwing timer. … so if we can adjust this to fit better for the lag we experienced for oceanic players in EU server it will be appreciated
