I’m leader of a guild, but I’m not using this as a cheap recruitment thing.

I notice guildies come and go from my guild who use Guilds as an upgraded PUG, where they can bad mouth the random players and then the player fights back and expects us to kick.

Theyre not all bad, but finding one thats right for you(and for leaders to find players who are right for the guild) is a challenge.

Eh, if it is that big a bother I just turn emotes off.

I mean I dont need to SEE that someone is dancing, in text when theyre like two feet away from me.

People who call out RPers in say/map chat make me laugh, if it’s that big a bother just block em losers…

I think this is more of a sign that that LFG tool needs some better … tools. Some sort of search/filtering capability.

Yeah, some sliders for ‘what levels are allowed/denied entry’ would be nice for starters.

Advertising ‘selling parties’ is a bit of a thin line to me but mean, just ignore them if theyre that bad

thats the whole allure to doing this event, if they straight up said ‘yeaaaaah halloween these will be back then’ do you think people would farm as hard? Hell no

This event is still glitched for me. I do not receive experience from killing enemies, I do not receive drops from enemies I kill, I do not receive experience, karma, or gold from completed events, and enemies do not count as kills for sigils, runes, and traits.

Please work on a fix asap.

What you describe are not glitches. That seems to be working as intended.

That can’t be right. why would this event be for new players if they could not level and gain loot from it?

It was designed by people who did NOT think it through.

No karma
No loot
No exp
Rewards tagging and moving on, not working together to finish.
Meager tokens for your effort
A gold barrier that the poorer members can’t get past by playing this new content.
Long down times between map incursions
Promotes zerging by those not tagging and moving on
No map finale with good rewards
Penalizes the new accounts at every stage of playing the new content that was put in a level accessible map for them to try out.

I’m not sure anet couldn’t have messed up harder if they tried.

In MMOs Guilds don’t run after players, it’s players run after guilds so a won’t get any response from a hardcore guild that will tell you “you’re welcome to join us etc”. You should look at posts.

I lead a guild and I’ve managed to get some pretty awesome players by doing this.

Makes them important and not just a member like a lot of these 200+ member guilds(not throwing shade at anybody, that’s the last thing I want to do but that statement is beyond silly :P)

Other than that megaserver means you can play with anyone on any map, from any server!

I am the leader of a small but growing squad of guys and girls known as “iLLuminatriots” or [iLL] and we are located on Gate of Madness in North America
We started a while back but just lately are catching on and picking up steam!

-We are a PvX guild, we basically do it all, Dungeons, Fractals,(A bit of WvW) if someone wants to do it, we basically have done it, or are willing to do it.
-I and a few of the other members are in the Eastern Standard Timezone, so we are most active from around 8PM EST to about 1PM EST most nights. Don’t look at this as a REQUIREMENT, but if you are on in the afternoon and join us, more often than not you’ll see us at night rather than afternoon, it’s our prime time basically.

I like iLLuminatriots to be a safezone so bullying/elitism towards fellow members will NOT be tolerated, we can all take a joke but there’s a fine line between joke and hurting somebody’s feelings. We rather not straddle that line.

I should mention aswell we are a guild that requires 100% Rep guild, not because we want to limit people but because often than not if people don’t rep, we dont get to know them. Which is what iLL is all about, we’re a social group and if someone is not repping, we dont get to interact, thus just a number.

When you’re a member of iLLuminatriots you are MORE than just another name on the list or another pug in a zerg, you’re in a circle of people who accept you, and enjoy you.

The problem is, if you ask people to leave quietly, they cuss you out half the time.

So you kick and then they get mad and whisper/trash talk.

I put “experienced” and end up with people coming in saying “first timer”

Even in dungeons when someone goes “F’n pugs” I always respond “So get friends then so you dont have to pug”

I think it’s funny people still fight over hardcore vs casual. Don’t associate with the other and you’ll be fine.
