A heretic’s voice in your head
A stargazer, releaser
Auras are the biggest thing I want back. Really, they’re the only thing I want back. I can’t even tell when I have them anymore.
For WvW, you can’t run at high settings and get 60 FPS in fights. The game is incapable of using the resources it has available. My CPU rarely ever goes above 50% load and GPU rarely above 40% load, and I still drop to ~15-20fps in big fights.
im using quadcore cpu so my theory is this game only use 2 cores
Which the 64bit client were suppose to fix and didnt.
The 64-bit client allowed the client to access to more than 4GB of RAM to prevent Out Of Memory crashes. Nothing else.

Agreed. It’s the snowball effect for the stronger side, just like tactivators. Needs to go.
Wish I had the full Radiant set, but I don’t see myself making it to 30k AP.
Instant ridiculous queues on every map. Way to go, guys. 150+ on EB, 40-60 on the BLs. You should just revert this right now.
Who is going to play this anymore with queues of 150+…BAD MOVE
This was NORMAL for reset night just a couple of years ago. Get used to it. You will realize that having a queue is far better than risking no queue with imbalance.
I agree, the mortar is an absolute monster, especially since the damage ring is bugged invisible 90% of the time so you have no idea where the 4k burn ticks are coming from.
I did a little more research and it seems to be more of a Wiindows 10 issue than anything else.
I guess this topic can be closed since it’s not arenanet’s responsibility here.
My client randomly minimizes. I do not have to be touching the keyboard or mouse for it to happen, and I can do nothing to forcefully reproduce it. Happens about every hour or so. It creates horrifying situations in WvW, and has gotten me killed more than once. Happens full-screen or windowed.
I don’t have a specific date for when this started, but I know it didn’t happen before HoT.
I have no other programs running except background stuff like Nod32, Steam, etc. Nothing else up on my screen.
I run a dual-monitor setup, if that matters. Nvidia card. Windows 10.
1. roamers are almost always thieves which take 0 skill to get a kill with
2. roamers almost always try to gank people
3. roamers target people who want nothing to do with you
basically no one likes you because you’re annoying
I think I see more people in EoTM than I do in WvW maps.
EoTM is sucking WvW population.
And removing it is going to be a good thing how? If more people want to play eotm, what makes you think they’d want to even keep playing the game if eotm is removed? That’s like saying Orr has more people than Gendarran Fields so Orr needs to be removed.
You know, it’s kinda funny. EotM has balance and none of the problems that EB and the Desert BLs have.
We could get rid of those and just make EotM the main WvW and we’d solve everything.
In which way is EotM balanced? (honest question)
Rotating servers takes care of population and there’s no tactics (at least I dont think they’re there, Ive never seen them used)

I do not want them in WvW. If they were to stay, they should only be usable by a guild ONCE every 24 hours, and even then I frown at the idea of it existing.
Why reward someone with extra firepower if they’re able to hold an objective for an extended period of time? The snowball effect is not good, and it is not fair.
Happens to me in the Desert BLs, but it’s rare. I don’t spend much time in Orr.

But yes, you’re not the only person this happens to. Happens to some of my guildmates as well.
run a tracert to an arenanet server. you will see ping times for every node your packets cross, and you will be able to identify where the problem is. If it’s not the last hop, then you need to take it up with your ISP.
1. ELIMINATION of tactics. They completely ruin everything.
2. Timezone coverage
3. Maps that I don’t get lost in
4. Maps that don’t take excessive time to move across
That’s all.
So the fact I work shifts and sometimes play early morning, sometimes prime and sometimes night means most of my work or efforts should be made worthless?
Yes. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. It is 100% impossible to satisfy everyone, unfortunately, without destroying fairness and balance, which currently does not exist anyways. You would not be losing anything you’ve already contributed, since it was already nulled.
Using timezones to make a hypothetical assumption on the activity of the WvW population is incredibly bad design compared to using the actual active WvW population no matter the time.
I disagree, and I gave 5 reasons why in my post. You didn’t give any.
Obviously coverage is a problem for every server except T1.
Why not make the evening hours, 6-9pm (of the respective timezone), be the ONLY block of the day that contributes to the score? WvW could be open 24/7 for skirmishing and practicing and bragging, but the evening hours where server occupation is at its peak is when WvW should really count.
1. It means maps can and will be queued for for maximum turnout when it matters
2. Servers can focus on skill and multitasking and not sweeping empty maps with no effort
3. No more waking up with 50 PPT because someone stayed up all night to lead another server
4. Scores stay competitive to the end of the matchup
5. Morale doesn’t break
Haven’t seen anyone talking about this anywhere, but wouldn’t it be cool if we could invade other servers in their pve zones? I know we got wvw, but it’s not always too easy to find people to gank or whatever you want to do. I think a invasion system kinda like Dark Souls have wold be pretty cool to have in gw2. What do you guys think?
It doesn’t matter what server you belong to anymore, everyone plays in the same instanced maps. You already play with everyone in the game. You used to be able to ‘guest’ on other servers but it was just PvE.
If you want to fight other players, then go to PvP, WvW, EotM, or Obsidian Sanctum.
It’s the power core event and the entire map is subjected to horrifying ping times until the event ends. Pretty sure anet knows about it. I can barely autoattack while it’s going.
I tried guard with a dps build about a year ago and hated it. Tried a tanky build last week and fell in love.
As title says.
We knocked SOS out of a t2 spot for last week for the first time in forever. SOS typically loses their t2 matches by a large margin.
DB WON in T2.
SOS moves back up and DB moves back down into ZZZ t3 matchup.
wtf?!
Because there was a very small chance that SoS could drop and DB come up. DB is still rank 7 and SoS is still rank 6. That’s all. It was a T3 server in a T2 matchup. Eventually DB will stay move into T2 permanently.

I want to say how discouraging it is to make significant progress on capturing anything, and the enemy not have to try at all to wipe you out.
Fog, airship defense, emergency waypoint, banners, etc
I like that ArenaNet is trying to spice things up, but they may as well give fury and might for killstreaks if this stuff is allowed. That’s how unfair these things are.
I feel cheated when a group pulls the emergency WP and changes BLs at the last minute to destroy your last 20 minutes of effort, and I feel bad for following my commander when he does the same thing.
Had it happen to me again today. Could not get out of the water, and eventually got warped across part of the map.
Ranger has some of the best elites in the game.
Strength of the pack giving fury, swiftness, AND stab, not to mention regen if your traited for it, is a huge advantage in fights
The theres entangle.. if youre a condi build using krait runes, you can deal some serious damage and control effects to an enemy group.
Don’t get me wrong. I want new maps, but not these new maps. They’re one gigantic maze. I HATE coming in to the map and having to catch up to the main group, it’s easily a 10-15 minute run and that’s if I don’t get wrecked by roamers.
Click on Media at the top of your screen, senpai.
I did my normal routine of opening some specific chests across all of my characters a little later than normal, around 11:20pm server time.
When reset came around just now, the chests are already open for 3 of my characters, meaning the chests reset earlier than they should have.
All three of these falls happened within four minutes of each other tonight. The final fall killed me and I was unable to be resurrected.
Extra info: Ive never had this bug in the entirety of playing the game. After restarting my client it was no longer an issue.
There’s a limit to what GW2 can do, unfortunately. Even with my rig, full potential of the hardware isn’t used. I rarely see my CPU go about 60% usage across all cores. i7-6700k @ 4.4 and a GTX 970. Anyways, here are my settings I use.
Toggling Effect LOD makes a HUGE difference if there is a lot going on, but you sacrifice your ability to see enemy attacks, which sucks horribly.
If you want hero point credit, just go to WvW or EotM and run around with a group. As you rank up, you’ll get a currency that can be traded in for hero points from both central tyria and the magumma jungle.
I specifically remember them saying it was an exclusive, one-time-only item.
And then they put it on sale two more times.
So yes, it will be back eventually. Give it a month or two.
A Dire build will be the most versatile, with Shortbow and Axe/Torch. You’ll have great def/vit and still be able to pump out loads of damage. Best of all, the 41-50 scale Mistlock wont make things difficult because you won’t be doing critical hits.
If you wanted to be able to switch between it and druid, you could use apothecary trinkets, but I would stay away from using staff since it doesn’t do any condition damage. The avatar state provides the healing.
protip: superior runes of the krait are amazing with condi ranger
You need serious power for GW2.
As a reference, my HTPC with an i5-4690S can only get 30 FPS on low-med settings.
For a laptop, you will HAVE to make sure you get a quad core i7, and a dedicated GPU. A mobile i5 will keep you around 20 fps tops.
It sounds like youre describing screen-tearing. In your game settings, make sure Vertical Sync is turned on. If it is disabled, it will cause what you’re describing.
The game is highly CPU reliant, more than GPU, but I doubt hardware is the problem here.
You can run a -repair command on the client for starters. If that doesn’t work, try deleting the .dat file and letting it redownload when you launch the game.
Bought the Guild Golem Blueprints and they were not delivered. Many of my other guildies bought it too and spoke up with the same problem.
That’s not a bug. It’s total damage delivered over time. It’s not delivering 3000, 3500, and 4000, it’s doing 500 damage each time and showing you the total. Lots of skills show damage in this manner.
You think it’s bad now? Wait till everyone realizes you need gift of fortune for Ad Infinitum. That could happen this tuesday, assuming anet actually releases the rest of the collection for it.
ArenaNet really just needs to update the minimum hardware requirements for the game. GW2 isn’t meant for toasters.
Was about to buy gems when I saw it. Would like to have that fixed before I make any purchases or before someone finds an exploit for it..
Full Dire with Krait runes. Shortbow and Axe/Torch.
Play as human so you have access to the racial condi-clear skill.
Super tanky and loads of damage.
Hmmm I believe youre working on Unbound, not Ad Infinitum. Just saying.
I’ll say I haven’t gotten a single Shard since HoT came out, and I do fotm every day.
I know they changed the scale, but I dunno about the drop rate.
Either way, Im almost positive Im going to need a stack of Shards for Ad Infinitum, so I hope they make a change.
I jumped from an i5-3570k @ 4.2ghz to an i7-6700k @ 4.5ghz and the difference is huge.
GW2 cant even come close to maxing it out, while my 3570k stayed under 95% load most of the time
In one of the recent updates, Auras had their appearance changed. Is there a way to revert them in the settings? If not, is it something you can add, maybe a ‘clutter’ option? I ran aura-sharing Ele in WvW, and I feel like I look like a joke with a thin, egg-shaped aura around me and my allies all the time.
Thanks
The timer is what makes it a bad experience. You have to find the perfect blend of builds to be able to take inevitable damage, but be able to dish out the damage right back at it, but do it in less than 10 minutes.
The mechanics aren’t hard. The timer is.
Yes, it’s by design. It’s always been like this.
I dont have a complaint about the Balls, they’re not that hard to get.
The Stabilizing Matrices though.. Im not going to have anywhere near enough for Unbound, even after completing the collection. Ive already salvaged most of my rings for the first two backpieces.
Is this some kind of joke? People can play with whoever they want to. You’re not entitled to have them in your presence.
