An elemental will die instantly, Im on a T2 server. FGS might be useful for movement and fights to some people, but not for staff Ele.

I’ll say that some if them have their use in PvE, but in WvW, I might use Tornado once a week in very specific situations. Nothing else is useful.

I’d like to suggest something like an attunement (not skill) cooldown-reset, or 10-20 seconds of an aura application based on attunement.

Why would they put GW2 on Steam and force themselves to give money to Valve? There is literally no benefit for anyone except Valve.

Thieves are the only class in the game that make me not want to play PvP/WvW. They can turn the game from fun and challenging to unfairly one-sided.

There needs to be a cap on stealth outside of PvE, like a max of 3-4 seconds for every 10.

Im sure ANet is looking into it. That 50% increase for cpu-bound games would be extremely valuable to GW2, though I imagine it would be a huge project for them.

Wait wait wait. Do you have your monitor plugged into the motherboard or the GTX 980?

GW2 is heavily CPU reliant. My GTX 970 barely gets above 50% load while my 3570k is overclocked to 4.3GHz and stays 80-95% load. In large events, I have to turn down the Character Model Limit to Low or Lowest to keep a good framerate.

Turning off Shadows, Shaders, and Postprocessing helps a lot as well.

I use this as my phone wallpaper. Just had to rotate my monitor to get the right res and aspect.

GW2 freaks out when you try to run it in fullscreen and messes everything up. Screen goes blank and can’t alt-tab, alt-f4, or even kill it in the task manager. You actually have to power the machine off to get out of it. Windowed mode works fine, though.

I know Win10 is in the ‘technical preview’ stage and not actually released, but it would be nice to have it fixed before the full release.

Really wish I had the Shattered wings, but other than that, I’m happy. Everything is ascended except for the armor.

Not all armor can be flashy. Just search out what you like, then work for it.

The farm is really only good for ascended mats and obsidian shards unless you’re lucky. Out of ~300 bags, I only got 2 exotics, and totaled less than 3g on the TP. Pretty sure the exotic rate is way lower in these bags than normal exotic boxes/bags.

I actually had this issue happen with Jormag recently. I was able to read the crash report and see that it was a memory error. Apparently, a megaserver’s worth of players charging towards a ginormous dragon on max graphic settings has been the first thing I’ve ever encountered that required more than 8GB of memory (to be fair, with a total of 3 displays and a number of other open windows). My solution was to buy another 8GB of memory, and I haven’t had a problem since.

A memory error does not mean you have insufficient RAM. No game on the market uses a full 8GB even with supersampled textures.

Seems pretty obvious to me that Anet did not want this new Sclerite shell to be upgraded into an Ascended version.

The other piece was gotten from a special one time event and clearly as other posters have mentioned its 2 different items.

Considering that a major point of the event was to let users get their hands on legacy items, I’d say that they accidentally enabled a version of Sclerite that wasn’t meant to be available, especially considering that it says “CAN BE UPGRADED IN THE MYSTIC FORGE”

Which means they put the wrong version in the patch. That’s pretty evident considering it even says it can be upgraded in the Forge. Not sure how they’re going to fix this…might just have to send a ticket.

Honestly I’d say the loot is fine, people just make the Pavillion event take way longer than it should. Everyone wants to stack on one commander, and that takes half an hour to kill everything because it scales up. If they split up into small groups, the bosses die very quickly.

I have everything I need, but it’s not listed as an item than can be placed into the forge.

I think it would be a really good idea for patch notes to be mailed out to everyone in-game. There’s so many wasted bodies in the maps that still think the zerg tactic works.

With that said, we did succeed on JQ main channel with 10 seconds left on the last knight.

I’ve had this problem for several weeks every other day, but restarting the game fixes it. Eventually all audio disappears except for ambient noise, like water or wind. Playing with English text and audio.

But like I said, restarting the game fixes it.

I’m having the same problem. Sometime I got drops, sometimes I get nothing.

I do pretty heavy DPS, too.

All infused back items cost 250 ecto, and are only used because they grant an extra agony slot.

I wasted so much time and gold to make the ascended just to find out it doesn’t have a carrion option past exotic.. I wouldn’t have made it had I know this, and I wouldn’t have made a level 500 armorsmith, either D:<

GW2 maxes out high-end cpu’s in areas with a lot of activity. The only thing you can do about that is lower your settings.

I love my elementalist, I’d go with that. Scepter in main hand for ranged attacks, dagger in off hand for the mobs that get too close.

I made it to level 80 before I even knew hearts were karma vendors, and that’s a good thing. I had 62k karma by the time I found my first 80 karma vendor. Bought some armor, and I farmed some events to get another 22k for another piece of armor. No need to waste karma when the TP is full of cheap items, unless you’re just rolling in gold.

Depends on what you like to use, really. You could even use crests if you can’t find what you want with runes or orbs.

So the crest doesn’t say anything aside from “apply to an item with an unused upgrade slot” and the stats. I was able to put the crest on my helm, but on no other armor. Is this a bug, or am I only allowed to use one crest on my entire set of equipment?

In the Straights of Devastation and Malchor’s Leap, ~20-30% of all of the events are bugged. Caravans sit in town and do nothing, escorts don’t spawn, escorts do spawn but inside walls, events just stop progressing and wait for something that has already happened, etc.

You can go to the Temple of Lyssa right now and see that the event won’t progress any further. It’s been like that for days, and it’s a rather large and important event. Can’t get the karma vendor until it’s finished
