What’s the point of doing the DS event? I honestly don’t get it. I’ve completed it 4 times and walked away wondering why I did it each time. It’s fun, but the rewards are borderline non-existent unless you’re lucky enough to get the Mordrem Saber. Why aren’t any of the new map currencies given?

I’d like to follow up and say thanks to ANet for helping me regain my losses. Received a replacement recipe in the mail and used it on a Weaponsmith character this time with no problem

I bought the Exalted Greatsword Core for 500 Aurillium. I consumed it on a character that has 500 Huntsman, and expected it to be applied to that crafting area.

Instead, it has applied itself to either Artificing or Weaponsmithing, meaning Ive wasted many hours of playing. Other players have had the same issue.

Most curious thing happened, my FPS counter from nVidia Shadowplay doesn’t work in the 64 bit version.

I just checked and it’s still working on the 32 bit version :P

I wonder if this is related to something I ran into last night. MSI Afterburner would not record when I ran the 64-bit client.

Has anyone been able to record gameplay footage while running the 64 bit client?

I can confirm that I had to change the name to be able to record with Nvidia Shadowplay.

I’ve used the new client for about 4.5 hours today and had no crashes on nearly maxed settings. I even did Octovine and the Mouth of Mordremoth without issue.

I never knew GW2 could utilize so much RAM but I’m glad we’re back to being stable! Thanks for the quick response.

I haven’t been able to do any large event without crashing. I haven’t gotten credit for ANY of it because I can’t get back in my map after I get kicked out, even when Im in a party.

For example, I just lost a full two hours of participation in Dragon Stand. Client crashed a mere 4 or 5 minutes before the event succeeded, and I could not get back to my party in the right map. This was my first attempt at this event.

I understand Anet is working on the crashes…but the game is broken. At a minimum I’d like to get the rewards if I can’t get back in.

During the final fight, Canach stalled and I had to let myself die to reset him. It was the second time when he was going to deploy his shield. He was stunned and never recovered from it, and the boss stayed invulnerable.

There is no back item, only the glider.

The amount of people not reading the entire dev post is amazing.

You don’t have to show ‘legendary’ effort at all to rank up in pvp or in wvw.

The opportunity to obtain a legendary should be based off of extreme demonstrations of skill at a minimum, which means not something from casual PvP or WvW.

I’d rather farm Teq for two years for a Hoard than step foot into a PvP arena for a Legendary, but that’s just me.

This is awesome, and others in my guild feel the same about it. We’d love to see an Android app or a mobile web app!

Currently it takes up 21.7GB. Since the requirement is 35GB, that means you’ll be downloading ~13GB.

Im not a dev, so I won’t spout off anything silly, but I hope it’s ready when you say it’s planned for.

Seems he targets minions or players outside of the platform where you fight him. When he crosses the barrier, he gets teleported back to the center. Then he crosses the barrier again, etc. He eventually got stuck on a pillar, which made the whole fight very easy.

There is no benefit to neither ArenaNet nor players for putting GW2 on Steam.

A vendor that sold everything probably would have been a much easier path for everyone compared to the boxes. Runes, Sigils, Food/Utility, Armor, Trinkets, etc, and not just the limited selection that was given.

This isn’t a bug, by the way. Hopefully they make changes when they start on the 2nd expansion.

Had this a couple of days ago in a fractal. The only thing I could hear was the mesmer portal noise. Frames dropped from 60 to about 15. I let it go for about 5 minutes and it never corrected itself. Client froze when I tried to close it to desktop, and had to open the task manager to kill it.

Nothing that happens on any of your beta characters will affect your real account. Your beta characters are tied to a copy.

They can’t do a full reset. They promised they wouldn’t and people acted on that, grinding up masteries and the like.

What you can do is delete your beta alts and make new ones. You’ll get three more boxes of gear for each, along with food and utility, and can set your build anew. I agree a vendor would be much handier than the boxes, but failing that you can have your reset while the rest of us keep the builds we put together and the waypoints we unlocked without having to spend 30 minutes redoing all that per alt.

This doesn’t solve my problem of not having access to the runes and utility items and food I need, though.

I want to have access to the items in my bank again, since I can’t get them from the TP in the beta. The items I need are not given from the boxes at the beginning.

If nothing else, a Rune/Sigil/Food/Utility vendor would solve everything, just as long as they actually sold all of the higher-tier items, and I think it would be way easier to manage than giving everyone boxes.

I don’t mind if I lose the progress I had made, Im going to lose it anyways since it’s just a beta. I just want my builds ironed out.

In an open area, you can set them higher. If you’re in a populated zone, then it’s going to hurt. The only thing I change is Character Model Limit to High when I go to WvW, and that’s just to make sure I can see everyone.

I believe it’s capped to everyone in 750 range.

The jpeg screenshots have always looked horrible, doesnt matter that they got knocked further down. The -bmp option is easy to set and only takes a few seconds.

I honestly wish they’d just reset all server rankings.

They intentionally left items out so that you couldn’t just splurge on everything with laurels. It encourages participation in the living story.

If you trashed the skin before the wardrobe changes came out, you can get the skin again, just send a ticket with proof of your achievement.

Rev (with Soldier gear and food buffs) has less damage and less survivability than my staff Ele (Soldier/Cleric) with no food, not to mention my Ele gives incredible support to allies.

So, one specific person on Server A has figured out that that he can easily sweep Server B in the early morning hours, as in 2am-7am EST, and that person happens to be a commander on Server A. This one specific person also happens to stay awake for three days straight at the end of every week, ensuring that everything we work for early in the week is for nothing. This person often build golems and sits on them until our dead time to make it as easy as possible.

I’m not saying competition is bad, but to flip the score on the last day because no one is on…that’s pretty kittenty and demoralizing for everyone that tried. Our server is full, and even if it wasn’t, it’s not like an EU or Asian guild is just going to decide to come to Server B for coverage during this time frame.

I would like to point out that Tequatl’s defense was insane tonight, again. I should not be hitting 400-600’s as a Valkyrie ranger with longbow. I could do 4x that before the patch.

Last night at reset, we failed Tequatl with a full, organized map. He had insane defense, not to mention no one could actually crit him. I was only hitting him for ~600’s, while normally Im getting 1.5-2k’s (pre-crit patch).

This morning with TTS, everything went fine and Teq’s defense was normal, and had normal damage to go with it.

This with Delicious Rice Balls and Potent Sharpening Stones is a wonderful thing in WvW.

This was the second Mordrem Heart I gave to him this morning, if that matters.

Love these changes! Took a little bit of a hit On my Ele with cantrip recharge being moved, but Im getting buffs in all the right places!

I started experiencing high skill lag at Karka Queen about a month or so ago. I run in WvW on a T2 server with large fights, and I never have skill lag there. Only at Karka.

I have a very good computer and a decent internet connection.

Crashed 6 or 7 times in 15 minutes, with one of them completely locking my PC up forcing a hard reset, all while doing Leathworking from 1-300. I submitted a bug report with each instance except for the time everything locked up.
