Do you think the game demands new living story content every two weeks as a sort of sacrifice?

I’m just so dissapointed After SAB this was probably my favorite game within the game and i was really looking forward to playing it again this year with some friends who weren’t around last year.

We learned that this is not a bug, it is an intended change. But they are making it sound like there is literally nothing they could have done. I admit that i know zero things about coding but im pretty sure if they wanted to make toypocalypse doable with party members instead of random hotjoining people, that is something they could have done. And if this is an intended change and not something that happened accidentally then they had time to make the changes to toypocalypse so that everyone could be happy.
Also on a little side not, be a little nicer to Gaile guys, she is in charge of talking to us and not in charge of making all these decisions, without her no one will ever hear our complaining

Did not a single person jump into these wintersday activities to make sure they worked before you rereleased them this year?

I love collecting tonics and would love if they had some space to themselves

Im not sure if this should go here or in the living story section but i am really annoyed at the collection achievement for the endless tonics. I LOVEEE tonics and have quite a few including the endless wintersday tonic which transforms me into every single one of those things. I dont want to get each individual tonic when i have one that is already better than them. Wouldn’t it be nice if for wintersday anet also made it so that the endless wintersday tonic gave you that collection achievement? Or do you guys think the point of a collection is to collect a bunch of things and my complaint is silly?

Did you notice the SAB references in that new jumping puzzle? It hurt me deep down…

I am very sad how quickly people stopped complaining about this My friend just today asked where i got my 8bit yellow bird staff from and if he could get one.

SAB is something i used to convince three of my friends to buy guild wars 2.

So no sab for now and maybe not later :/ maybe if we express enough interest in it they will reconsider. At the very least i hope they release the old worlds so i can get all the skins for the wardrobe.

They really need to just release world 1&2 again even if they cant find time make the third and fourth world :/

Well they make the game for us right? So maybe if enough people express the emotion that they want it back even if it doesn’t fit in with the story they will reconsider?

I urge everyone with this problem to submit a bug report, I did and they got me squared away within a day or two!

No, you don’t need to craft Backpiece 1 again. In fact, you skipped ahead several steps and saved a LOT of money in the process.

And you will STILL get the intermediate skin awarded back in a future patch.

But, by all means, go on telling everybody how you got the short end of the stick.

You dont understand, i at the very least am not saving any money because i already spent all the money for all the other ingredients for the second backpiece. The only thing i need is the seed, i did this in the belief that anet has always pulled through for me in the past. And they didnt say they would be awarded in a future patch, they said they would work on a way for us to unlock it, which sounds a lot more like us buying it than us getting for free.

I doubt you take player suggestions into account, But it seems safe to assume that sending everyone in the game a free cultivated seed is out of the question or i assume you would have done that already. Why not just add the cultivated seed as something purchaseable from laurel merchants for a few laurels? Im sure some people will complain that were having to pay to fix your mistakes, but i for one would just be happy to get this whole problem dealt with.

To be honest i wasn’t really worried about this whole situation because i figured anet would have it fixed in a few days. But this really ruined my trust with them I really hope they reconsider this decision.

To everyone saying that we should be happy because were saving gold on not having to make the second backpiece, That would be true except i and im sure many others already bought/crafted/farmed everything else i need for the second step of the exotic one. The way it was worded makes it sound like ill be able to buy the skin with laurels or something later, instead of crafting it which would mean all the ingredients i bought (which some were pretty expensive) are now completely useless unless i want to spend even more money to craft the first one again. This is why we are angry.

If you can do 50 runs and play on the U.S servers i run a fractal about two hours after reset with three or four guildies and would never kick you from the group for trying to survive the grubs <3

Hey im not sure if this is the right section or not, but i was just wondering if anywhere on these many forum pages anet has said when super adventure box will be coming out with world three? Last year it was the back to school update and school is getting ready to start again. I know we are right in the middle of the living story season 2, but they said they would take breaks for seasonal stuff.

When is then cutoff for sign ups to this tournament? And to sign up i would just reply to this topic with something like

So I do fractal 50 pretty often ( gotta get that fabled fractal tonic) And my group just to ascalon and there are some pretty big changes it seems. A few new archers on this rubble, and im not sure if this is supposed to happen or not but the monks all kept two shotting us with “heal area”. Has anyone else had trouble with this one lately?

Hi on apr 29th i submitted ticket 580832 about my account being banned after a long absence of mine from playing. They got the problem fixed in about 2 hours and i was unbanned. upon logging in i found that all my stuff was gone that could have been sold. So i replied to the email that told me i was unbanned since it says to reply with questions or concerns. I replied telling Vince that i would like to be considered for an account rollback. In 24 hours i had not received a reply so i sent another reply to vince asking for some kind of response letting me know if they were working on it, i also told him in that reply that if i didn’t get a response in four or five hours i was going to submit a new ticket specifically about the account rollback. on april 30th i submitted ticket number 582878 mentioning that i had recently gotten my account unbanned because i had lost control of it but needed an account rollback because of all the stuff i lost. Today on may 2nd i replied to the confirmation email i got about that ticket asking if any progress was being made or if at the very least i could get some kind of answer i got another confirmation email saying that it had started a new ticket (586639) Does that mean they had already closed my last one without telling me? Or was replying to that confirmation email not the right way to do it? A bunch of the members of my guild are getting together on saturday in real life for the first time to do guild missions and it would really suck if this couldn’t be resolved by then.

I dont know if responding makes it more likely for devs to respond but i would like them to fix this too.

I dont know if this has been addressed somewhere else or not but i couldn’t find it so im making a new topic. For the past three days ive been unable to receive a reward chest for doing fotm 50’s while my guildies who i run with are still getting a new one every day. Im not hesitant to run anymore until i hear that this problem was addressed as fractals take a pretty long time to run. If i could hear from someone who had this problem and got it fixed or just someone pointing me to where they said they fixed it id appreciate it.

My guild’s voip service is currently full of people complaining about this is making our missions take so much longer

True, i agree with you on that point. Do you think it would be out of the question for people who get rolled back to receive a title? Or possibly something else unique? That’s all i want and am hoping for.

As someone who was leveling a fourth character for Fractals, what do you think about the fractal levels becoming account bound?

Account bound level announcement hurt me the most. I could cope with level being brought down to 30, but I’m loosing way more than 20 legit levels this way… I just wished I knew it’ll eventually become account bound so all the time wasted leveling my alts in low level fractals getting little to no rewards, could be put in a better use towards making a legendary or doing dungeons. I still don’t feel as hurt as a friend of mine that managed to get 7 characters up to upper level 40 over the past year.

Soon it will happen to WvW progression, PvP progression, items, etc where it gets erased in order to roll out new content.

They are setting a precedent that could destroy the future of the game.

I’ve been fighting since the moment the information been released on Tuesday. I’ve written countless posts regarding the issue and reading through many opinions of various types of players. And from what I’m seeing is that most of the players are either fine or happy with it. The only hurt playerbase is the one that put the most amount of time and investment in fractals. And that’s a very small group compared to everyone else.

Developer’s involvement in the matter is very small to non-existant at this point. It has been almost three days since the debate started and they’ve been avoiding answering anything of value to us. The only thing we got after three days is that they’re reading and gathering feedback. Therefore no action has been taken and accounting for the amount of time that’s left before the actual release, no action will be taken because of time shortage.

There’s one thing that they don’t fully realize. And that is the fact that two weeks later after the next update will come out, all those players that they’re trying to please with fractals will move on to the next patch, leaving fractals behind. Small percentage will catch the fractal fever we’ve had for a year now, but aside from that, it’ll all be left behind just like it was till now. Except for all those hurt people working their way back up to what’s been rightfully earned the first time around.

We’ve build quite a community around fractals, helping people taht are new to it, getting others interested. Obviously we have some elitists here and there, but that’s expected. But now our community is being destroyed jsut to please other community for a short amount of time, untill we’re forgotten and left behind yet again.

As the matter of fact I’ve yet to see any WvW or PvP update that people were this unhappy about. Even GvG communities are being pleased with the Obsidian Sanctum arena where they can do their thing without affecting WvW in any way.

You are, of course, missing entirely the possibility that the Developers might think this patch will actually increase the number of players regularly running Fractals. I’m not saying that I necessarily agree, but I definitely could see that as happening.

It could be that the rewards and leaderboards are actually enough to keep people running 48s. In which case it makes sense that everyone is reset to 30 so that we start on an equal footing.

Perhaps this is really just another “Short-term loss for long-term gain” scenario. The Developers likely realized people would be upset with lost progress, but ultimately decided that such immediately loss was better for Fractals in the long run.

But making everyone start at 30 isn’t equal footing. Making everyone start at 0 would be equal footing, but making it start at 30 is as close to equal footing as you can get while not moving the majority back much if at all.

Because 30+ fractals now have some sort of challenge they didn’t have before. If they capped it at 50 then 30+ must now be pretty hard with the “new instabilities”. Gonna have to wait and see what they did.

Ok, but do you at least understand why we would be angry at having our progress rolled back?

If the point that your claiming was never made was that 30-49 is easy, that was made earlier

If i understand correctly, the second upgrade requiring the glob of mist essence will give it the slot that can hold upgradeable AR, although an empty slot. Still pretty nice in my opinion.

My favorite one to see by far is a mesmer, with being able to mimic an agony axe and portals to help any jumping impaired players through uncategorized, they brighten my day every time.
