I saw a few people mention reporting the guy, even if he did it on purpose is that a reportable offense?

That would be really cool, and they have already kind of broken the trump on ideas like that with the sab floating cubes.

It doesn’t happen every time, but when it happens it only happens during that time frame.

About 6 times i have dced at the end of a tribulation mode run of the super adventure box after i killed the cage but before i get the chest and get ported to the next place. It really hurts my soul.

I remember my most memorable moment was when me and a friend had ICC’s and were with another friend who didn’t and we were all doing the tribulation mode for world 2. And our friend without the ICC kept running out of continue coins, so whenever he did we would dig with our shovels until he got enough baubles to buy another one from moto down in the pit so he wouldn’t get kicked out. But then he went to the bathroom while we were doing the shovels one time, and i got a rabbit and also wasn’t paying attention and it knocked him off and killed him before he had enough baubles to buy another coin. I felt so bad that i actually bought him an ICC before he got back.

Someone said they wanted new fractal maps, i just wanted to chime in to say that i don’t think they can really add new fractal maps anymore because of the static schedule. One of the things they talked about with that schedule is how helpful it would be for speedrunners and record keeping but adding any new maps would completely disrupt that entire system. And i honestly think they did that on purpose as an excuse to not have to make any new fractal maps.

Sab never forgets. I actually logged onto the forums for the first time in like a month just to join the hype train from shamans datamining.

Correct me if im wrong, but don’t you now need to meet a certain rank requirement before you are allowed to play unranked? I feel like i ran into this problem recently trying to do some pvp guild missions.

I agree actually. I’m not one to complain about things generally and just assume that i need to get better. But since HOT dropped whenever i enter a team fight i just feel CCed to death over and over. And when my team wins i feel like my team did that in a lot of the team fights.

I also thought it sounded like every single fractal level was going to get its own special instability. I thought that was one of the reasons they gave for the static schedule. I was really looking forward to it and was very disappointed in what we got. IE the same bland instability for 10 or so levels.

Your answer is really unhelpful, they have released stuff at very different times.

I know they gave us the date but lots of the people i want to go with are a bit busy. If we could have the time it is planned to be released then they could specifically plan to have that time of day free.

i would also really enjoy it if they fixed this.

Fractal mastery collection achievement says that i am missing three fractal weapons but i have all of them in my wardrobe

Pesonally I disliked SAB and I like the idea it being out. I dont like the idea of forcing people to play such content (yup achi points/unique skins etc forcing ppl to play it) when it is timegated and so (!) frustraiting.
I would like to see such content for April Fools just like an “little silly thingy”, but without any special revards/achivs.

There are achievements and exclusive rewards tied to every single thing they release, temporary or not. Citing that as a reason you want something that someone else enjoys to not be re released is pretty selfish.

This will definitely get merged into the SAB thread. but i agree that it has been way too long that they have not refunded this item. They sold something for recurring content and then stopped rereleasing that content. It is understandable if something breaks but if something breaks you refund the item. If i paid for my meal ahead of time and then the kitchen broke i would expect the refund to be given quickly and with an apology.

I actually did have this bug about a week ago. We wiped and it worked fine the next time.

I also don’t see the point of telling us about this. Those guilds can’t talk to us about it and i assume gaile can’t tell us how they are doing so it really does just feel as unnecessary as someone saying they made coffee today in the office. I will admit that my saltiness might be increased by how excited i was to beta test the raids.

I hope sab comes back and will be very happy if it ever does. And they should bring it out as soon as possible because of the ICC or at least refund the ICC. But realistically it is never coming back. There will always be something they want to spend resources on more than sab. Fixing Hot, Living world season 3, next expansion, guild wars 4 (4 will be so great that they skip 3 altogether.).

I would spend gems on sab related gem store items >.>

Sadly they will probably just wait for people to die down and stop asking about this change instead of reverting it.

In a way I do too since PvP is not that scary of a monster people think it to be.. well, it might be if you head into actual PvP rooms but there are daily rooms where you can progress your reward track by 25% per day, so you could get those 2 shards of glory in 4 days… or 3, depending where on the track are the shards located.

I admit I am one of those who think PvP is scary, and the horror stories of getting bashed to all hell b/c you don’t exactly know what you’re doing aren’t helping. If one of the new legs is feasible for me to get, I might go visit though and hope I get someone newb-friendly to explain. Unless I chicken out and go buy that stuff

Remember when anet maid new fractal maps? Good times… because as of now we are getting the same dozen we have all been doing the last 2-3 years.

As far as I know, the majority of fotm maps are getting large overhauls.

Could you find the source for that because as far as i know they aren’t changing any of the maps.

I wish they weren’t tradeable. The current legendaries already have the feel of needing to do most parts of the game to get them. I like this change.

From what i read and how i understood it, these fun sounding scavenger hunts will only be for new legendary weapons. But you will be able to do one to get one of the old precursors

Dungeons are not the same as home instances. Dungeons require a group to complete, more or less, and are also considered a group activity that necessitates the need for the LFG tool. Home instances are no such thing.

I know you said more or less but you still said dungeon require a group to complete which is not true at all. The only thing group oriented about dungeons is that you are allowed to enter with a group, an aspect that home instances and dungeons share.

I assume there is already a thread on this issue but i couldn’t find it. I believe the name of the collection is the treasure hunter collection and its in the rare category and includes things like the goblet of kings and exotic box from fractals. The very first item on the collection is not obtainable because you buy it from someone who shows up after an event that never starts! It seems the only time you can get this event is right after they patch something into the game. The wiki say’s this has been a known bug since july of this year and i was wondering if anyone knew a different way to get the item or at least a way to know exactly when they are going to patch the game so i can plan to be here.

I would also love to grab the super finisher, when SAB was around back then i wasn’t into pvp so i did not grab it but since then i have started to find pvp much more fun and would love to show my SAB love.

I remember this one from when i did map completion and i am ….pretty sure there was actually a different temple you had to uncontest to get that statue working right. Alternatively you could use something that makes you invulnerable or get like 4 guardian friends to keep giving you aegis

It really does say something about a game i think when one of the only big things to strive for in an mmo has been broken for over a year.

“We’re investigating the connection between guild mission reset times and raids reset times, and we will know more in the upcoming weeks.” Don’t they decide what the connection is between those two things? Or do you think by that they meant that they are deciding if the two need to be together?
P.S.Gaile, i dont know where you got this info of course but it seems’ as likely as anything else that someone told you something and then changed there mind, so i was wondering if other people you work with understand how the community gets when they receive false information from our lord and saviour arenanet?

I am not sure what we can expect or assume anymore. But if we could get an official answer about when new reset’s are going to be that would be great. Or just an official answer saying they will actually be on monday from now on but this last week was a fluke.

I was just thinking about how much i would like to upgrade my yellow staff with a bit of red….

I am very disappointed as well My guild cancelled guild missions this weekend because of what we read on the forums and now it turns out we could have earned all of our stuff like regular this week

As I mentioned in my previous reply, this is a real issue for guild missions, and this isn’t just a one week problem.

If the reset is permanently moved to a weekday, it kills the ability for a guild to host two weekend mission outings to allow players to make-up missions the following weekend. If your guild doesn’t already do this, then it may take some extra explanation:

Weekend session #1 occurs sometime before reset and allows players who were unable to attend the prior week’s guild outing to get rewards for all the missions for the about-to-end week.

Weekend session #2 occurs sometime after reset and is essentially the main guild mission outing for players to get mission rewards for the newest week. Players who can’t attend this outing can attend the following weekend’s pre-reset session to get the mission rewards.

By moving the reset to a weekday, the strategy above is no longer an option. Regardless of when a guild session is held on a weekend, the missions would not be able to straddle the reset time, and thus they would count toward the same week.

So why not move the guild sessions to Mondays so we can straddle the new reset? Our players have significantly more availability on weekends which is the main reason why we do guild events on weekends. I suspect that higher weekend availability is true for many other guilds as well. Weekdays pose many time constraints to our players due to jobs, school or other obligations. As a result, if we tried shifting our pre/post guild mission sessions to Mondays to try to straddle the reset, several guild members might not be able to attend either session, and many might only be able to ever attend the post-reset session. Due to conflicts with work or school a large number of players would never be able to attend the pre-reset session to try to make up mission they missed during the prior week’s post-reset session.

What if you did it backwards, so to speak. The first mission of the week is Monday at some point at whatever time you have that has the most people that can attend (or even some other day. Doesn’t have to be Monday). The catch up mission for those who missed the one during the week is the same catch up mission time that you’ve been having.

Maybe i am misunderstanding your question but i feel like they already addressed those points by saying that some people’s availability limit them to only really being able to play on the weekends.

Then they can do the one on Saturday.

But what if they do not have enough people to run a guild mission except on the weekend? And before anyone says that they can’t cater to everyone, i don’t think its a super rare thing that someone might not have the time to devote to an mmo unless it’s the weekend.

I’m just suggesting things they can try when this goes live. I never said it was a perfect solution but an option to consider.

That is a great solution. But hopefully we won’t have to find a way around it because anet will listen to the community and move reset back to the weekend. I don’t believe i have seen anyone happy that is was on monday, just people complaining about complaining.

There was already a sab petition that got a large amount of signatures. I think the problem with trying anything like that now is that a lot of people that did care about sab have probably stopped playing. And the chunk of players we have gotten since then have never tried sab so wouldn’t support it.
