It was stated somewhere in one of the dev responses recently that armor skins take quite abit of development time so they aren’t focusing of that.
Whether or not that’s true, I’m not sure..(you figure they could at least make 1 armor set in 1 year….), but that was their response. I’d look for the response, but I’m at work haha
Well technically they do have 1 armour set, so year 1 is covered :P
As to the time it takes, look at the problems CURRENT armour has with clipping/cutting/hiding/not actually being where they should. If there was just 1 race, this wouldn’t be as much of an issue, its the kitten giants/midgets/cats!

Instead of nerfing the living crap out of stealth, make leap finishers through smoke fields not stack (like mesmer haste). That would eliminate ‘perma stealth thieves’…which is just a gimic build anyway. If you are talking about stealthing every 3 secs…no. MAYBE bump it to 4 but no where close to 10….

Yes this has been brought up many times before, and I 100% agree with it. I’ve also encountered bugs when going from water to land, sometimes the names transfer…Shark Bait is not a name for a bird…

I LOVE GUILD WARS 2!!! Following are suggestions I would like to see implemented.
1) Make all Soul Bound items Account Bound
—> Precedent: Hero/Wallet panel2) Make all weapons and armor skins with unlimited use once acquired

--> Precedent: Eye of the North Guild Wars 1 Unlocked Rewards3) Stop making achievements so difficult that it’s not actually fun to play the game

1) Yes to some items, not to Armour/Trinkets/Weapons. Was the same way with GW1 (assuming you customized your weapons to get 10% more dmg). You can still save the skins if you want via transmute stones , which is another reason why I think they will never do this). But items you buy from vendors (like the quaggen tonics) would be nice if they were account bound instead of soulbound. YES to the stupid soulbound runes! Make those account bound if anything please.
2) People have been asking for a PvP like locker for PvE for sometime now. I don’t think ALL skins should go there, but skins and such from limited content (special event skins) absolutely! (while you are at it, make the skins from PvP unlimited withdraws (I know you can redeposit the gear, but what if I have multiple toons with the same armour type…I’m a cloths horse and like to change outfits a lot).
3) No. They are ACHIEVEMENTS, not participation ribbons. You are not forced to get them all (or any for that matter).
Edit: A possible solution to your concern about the availability of Transmutation Crystals (lv80): introduce a formula to make the Transmutation Stones(lv1-79) into Transmutation Crystals (lv80).

what i want is a little more money or unique weapons dropped by enemy players. i think ~70% of the pve farm is enough. i dont want too much pve nabz in wvw :p
other think what i miss is the body block system from gw1. no more blobbing, no more mindless runing, but more tactic.
The main issue with increased loot (and why I think they don’t do it) is it promotes zerging, something I think they want to try to limit/remove. I agree better drops would be nice (not what some people are saying…I have no clue why people keep bringing up precursors….outside MF I’ve seen just as many drop from WvW then PvE), and would say between 50-60% of the average PvE farm would be fine. I say 50-60% because I could WvW all day long, while I can only farm for 1-2 hours at most. I don’t WvW for the loot, but the enjoyment of it.
Body block is seriously lacking in this game, but then again, I’m a huge fan of the holy trinity more then every man for himself.
For the thief: I think venoms would be better then suggested. Also, have 3 stolen items would not work (3 fears…yum!)
For the ranger: Would depend on the strength of the heal and any rework done with current ranger heals. I agree pets need better controls though. No to opening strike on stealth as a passive, yes to Remorseless being lowered in the tree. No to replacing skills while in stealth. Rangers honestly don’t need more stealth.
For the Guardian: Unless they replace Renewed Focus with something other then a book, no. What would be the passive effect of renewed focus as an f4?
For the Warrior: Hell no. Warriors don’t need more might/fury spam, nor should they get a passive break stun ability, or a passive condition removal. I agree warriors need better options of condition removal, but this would be too much. No other class inherently (as in a 0 trait/no weapon build) can break stun/remove conditions. Warriors also don’t need better ways of getting adrenaline. They need more reasons to use their adrenaline instead of keeping it maxed most of the time.
For the elementalist: I’m sorry, I honestly don’t know what you are saying here
For the engineer: I don’t understand what you want as the second part of that statement.
For the Necromancer: you didn’t include how long each skill lasts. But 50% move speed on 3 inherent skills is not going to happen. Nor is 3 marks on the staff auto (in or out of ds) I like the idea of ds being weapon based, but by doing this, you effectively give the necro 4 inhenrent abilities, and 4 weapon sets (2 weapon sets, plus the 2 from this improved ds). Overall, these changes would not work (necro would be very OP after these).
For the mesmer: All I got from this was nerfs…do you want cry of frustration to do 7s at 1, 5s each at 2 and 3s each at 3? or 7s total at 1, 5s total at 2 and 3s total at 3? so it’s best to shatter at 2? Same problem with Diversion, except now the worst time is at 2 (1s->2/5s->1s…or 1s->1/5s->1/2sec total…) I don’t follow the recharge of Distortion. Recharge of distortion? or all shatters?
Badges still have a use (albeit a little limited) superior siege, or you could always just buy the original gear (zerker unless they have fixed the other sets) to salvage/mf. And they will never do the badges -> gems conversion (they would have to do the same for PvE badges too). I do agree that badges have a semi useless role after a while, let’s just be grateful that they no longer take up room in our banks :P
I don’t agree 100% with 1 and 3. If they made 1 optional I’m all for that, and 3 I don’t fully understand what you are suggestion. 2 is very valid, and has been brought up many times (anet had gone so far as to say they aren’t satisfied at all with the commander system, so it’s just a matter of time…but how long no one knows). Here’s hoping that some of them get some attention soon
I was buying sieges and selling them from tp to make some gold but their price gone so low, so it’s not so convenient way to buy sieges anymore. Badges are just waiting for their use in my wallet
and there’s no pve badges as I know, and pve has many high-return farm options for new players. But many endgame users(which have all items including legendaries) don’t care about pve, they just want competitive pk features(for wvw and other new zones) in order to continue playing this game. a wvw player must earn same gold as pve players, they shouldn’t force you to play pve to earn high amount of gold like current state of the game.
my 3rd suggestion was about guild activities in wvw. as long as you kill opponents in wvw, you make your guild gain honor points. your guild unlocks new wvw features with these honor points, and gets in guild wvw leaderboard rankings. i suggested customizable capes as an optional feature, which you unlock them with guild honor points, best looking ones require extreme amount of honor points etc.
In that case suggestion 3 sounds good. But WvW should never earn the same amount as a PvE farm. WvW offers many rewards at the same time, which is the problem. Badges, karma, drops and gold…all this while doing something fun! In PvE you can normally only farm 2-3 of those at the same time (exceptions always exist). It doesn’t matter that karma or badges might be useless to you, you still get them which will dilute the things you may want.
Someone else suggested a while ago changing the rewards to scale with difficulty (ie taking a t3 tower/keep would reward you with much better rewards, while paper towers/keeps reward you with roughly the same as drops now). Defense should also be improved, but I acknowledge that this may be difficult, as what constitutes a defense. Killing players while outside normally doesn’t reward you with gold, while staying indoor firing ac will normally guarantee gold, even if you only hit a few people. Maybe they could also offer better rewards or some kind of boss chest for taking keeps/sm.
Oh, btw, the PvE badges I was talking about were the dungeon tokens.
As a warrior you have only 2 options to defend against blindness spamming.
1.- Run whenever you are blinded and receive damage while kiting.
2.- Equip shake it off, signet of stamina, barzerker stance and remove 1 or 6 conditions and be fine for 1 second, but then receive another 6 conditions and wait for 60 seconds for your skills to cooldown for another chance to remove conditions.Or you use range weapons or use the full weaponrange and stay outside of the field hile you hitting the thief.

Dear devs, I have some suggestions for wvw as a wvw fan.
Please make wvw ranks somehow visible to friendly units(i suggest rank icons next to our names), so our ranks and character development can be seen by other players. So we can brag about our wvw ranks, playtime etc. :P
With current system no one knows that your character is in a good or bad wvw condition.
Well, this is an mmo so we need a little competition, there’s no point to grind for high ranks to compete other players. (except new wvw skills specs etc.)
It would be good if we had wvw rank icons next to our nicknames just like battlefield 2. (online fps game)

Implementation of private or guild wvw commander system is needed. Most of wvw players play in wvw oriented guilds, and they do private raids in wvw. We use ctrl+t to target/mark our clan leader/commander in order to have a private commander. It would be good if we had a seperate private commander tag in map which is only visible to guild members.

wvw server leaderboards aren’t enough, we should earn honor points for our guild and upgrade our guild with these wvw honor points for new wvw features. also guilds will compete to get a good position in guild wvw leaderboards with these honor points. you can also add capes like in gw1 which we will be able to unlock better ones with guild honor points.

and please let us convert badges to gems/gold or other currencies. For ex. 250 badges -> 80-100 gems

If the Ranger’s pet couldn’t become a handicap, noone would care so much about its issues.
There are too many situations where the pet can not deliver on its promise and therefore leaves the Ranger handicapped.
Handicap:
- Ranger has less power scaling (because it has a pet to make up for it)Situations where it’s not worth the handicap:
- PvE areas that use a lot of AoE damage (most new content)
- WvW walls preventing the pet from pathing to the target
- WvW zergs killing pets before they get anywhere
- Any area with pathing issues. Harpy fractal for example.The handicap has to go. It has to be changed. We’ve played a year with this power scaling reduction and it’s not the proper solution. Something else needs to be done instead.
Noone would be bothered with the pet issues, if it could never handicap the player. It would just be a class mechanic: Sometimes useful, sometimes not useful.
But as it stands, the AI is expected to deliver in any situation, because the reduction in power scaling is also happening in any situation.
While I agree the pet needs to be looked into (mostly pathing/ability to keep your pet on passive until YOU decide for it to attack), the “WvW walls preventing the pet from pathing to the target” issue isn’t something that needs to be fixed (well, actually, they need to fix the bug they reintroduced). Pets SHOULDN’T be able to attack players on top of walls or inside a tower with it’s walls up (same with illusions imo but that’s another matter). Unless you are talking about pets getting stuck at a broken wall, in which case that does need to get fixed (again pathing issues that I mentioned at the start).
So, I take it that everyone has experienced how overpowered conditions are in WvW at the moment, i would like to hear your guys opinion on it.
In my opinion, ANet need to add a cool down on conditions that are removed. Even if its for 2 or 3 seconds that the condition cannot be applied to you after you remove it, it will still give an even advantage towards the player that is not playing a condition build.
Conditions simply over run condition removal, for example, you remove a condition and its put straight back onto you again…….. Whats the point in removing it?
I would like to hear your guys thought on this condition cool down after removing it.
Sure, so long as they also introduce a phys dmg immunity. You gain immunity from all damage after a heal for a few seconds. Damage simply over run heals, for example, you heal and and immediately get hit again…….. Whats the point in healing?

I could see them not letting you change the colours of all effects/auras (like the legendary weapons might be a bit more problematic), but this would be a HUGE + for me if you could change the colour of weapons (effects too if you are feeling generous). right now the only way to win at the higher tiers is to have a larger zerg and more people online than the other servers.

By your own admission, you play on a higher tier server, and by your logic, the only way to win at the higher tiers is to have a larger zerg, and you are telling him he needs to L2P? Since when did zerging require any kind of skill?
If you really want this suggestion to have any weight, rethink your idea, cuz right now YOU aren’t realizing how badly this would hurt WvW. I’m sorry to burst your bubble, but 20 000 deaths OVER THE COURSE OF 1 WEEK is way too small. I’m going to focus on this number, because you seem to think this number is HUGE and only bads will reach this number.
20 000 allows an average of less then 3000 deaths per day. Or less 750 deaths per BL/EB per DAY. Sound like a lot? IF 100 people died 8 times each over the course of each day, you would loose. IF 200 people over the course of a day died 4 times each you loose (well they only have to die 3.6 times each). Do you think more or less then 200 people enter each EB/BL each DAY? and do you think they die more or less then 4 times each?
How many people does your server normally field each day? I’m guessing the number is higher then 200. How often do they die (add the good players to the bad, don’t just take the average of your servers best group)?

1) I’m fully aware of the amount of PvE that is in WvW. What I think you fail to recognize is it’s a PvP zone. I’m not one of those that tells people to get out if they are here only to harvest nodes, or map the zone, or do anything that isn’t PvP oriented, that’s their business. The scenario in which you described that extra event from occurring would just kitten off the WvWders. Preventing PvP in a PvP zone (yes, WvW is a PvP zone, that’s why we can attack other players) is a bad idea. I know where you are coming from (playing against 2 servers where you control almost all the maps isn’t all that fun) but this solution would not help matters. It would help PvE players way more then WvW players.
MAYBE, if your event you were tied to another random WvW map that would warrant further investigation (like if you “conquer” your own WvW you gain the chance of WvWder in the tier above you, but I have no clue how they would implement this).
2) The “Spy thing” happens all the time, but their effects aren’t as bad as they are made out to be (just very annoying when it does happen).
3) You have far more faith in their combat log then I do. ATM, when you dc in combat, it is considered a death. If you were to add this as an exception to your “counter” then people would be alt f4ing to save this counter. No other way around this (I know, DCs aren’t a huge part of WvW, it was just 1 example of how the counter could be manipulated/exploited).
4) (which was actually 5) I still don’t see how this would discourage GC builds. I don’t play one myself, and rarely die to them (unless it’s mes kitten that I don’t see coming). GC builds (at least on my server) are either used for roaming or lazy zerg farm. In either case, your change won’t change how they play. (again, at least on my server)
5. There wouldn’t really be much of a split in the community. I said nothing to stop up-levels or people who don’t pvp as much from coming in AFTER their server has beaten two others through reinforcements. This would be their time to reap the benefits of out playing other servers and ask those that did the fighting their strategies and builds. Also you have to be horrible to run out reinforcements on every single map and cause a loss. It would be a server wide effort and something a small group of people could NOT do even over the course of the week.
5) (4) WHAT??!? This is even worst then how I interpreted your OP. So if you are up-leveled, you plan for them to come to WvW AFTER WvW is over. How does this make any kind of sense man? And using your original number of 5000 reinforcements per map (I know this number is fluid and can change), I also think you are underestimating the number of people that die in every map, every day. Maybe if you have low pop servers this isn’t as much of an issue, but on higher pop servers the number of deaths is rather large.
1. Also, what else would you do after you went around capping all the unoccupied towers and camps etc because two servers died so much they depleted their reinforcements? You would just leave an empty world until reset if two terrible servers completely destroyed themselves on a tuesday?
I will leave this alone, as you are just trying to solve a problem that your new system would implement. As it stands right now, if two terrible servers completely destroyed themselves on a tuesday, they would just come back the next day.

If ALL feminine words were never used again (or conversely all masculine words), then it wouldn’t be sexist at all. In fact it would make everything unisex, which, as someone pointed out already is slowly happening. What I think you are thinking of is “if all female counter-words were gone, we would only have male”, which isn’t 100% accurate. What we would have left are just words. We give meaning to the sex of words by focusing on that part, instead of the other, which is simply most words are just words with no sex at all.
Now if you meant counter-titles, that is a whole other matter. Since Anet has created a new world called Tyria (not new to gw2, but new as in separate from ours), they can choose which titles are going to be used, and which aren’t.
How is that treating everyone the same? Saying that female counter words aren’t necessary? Why were they made then?
Think about WHEN they were made. Just because something WAS used at some point, doesn’t mean it SHOULD still be used today. Many female counter words were created to show a need for distinction between male and female, which is sexist.
1) Why would you offer, as a possible ending, a PvE style encounter to a PvP(ish) zone?
2)You are going to penalize players for Disconnects (honest disconnect, not a-f4, while in combat).
3)This would encourage Spies to have a much more active role in how the week turns out (lemmings off cliffs over and over and over).
4)You are trying to hurt players that aren’t as good as others by inviting other players from berating the “noobier” players for dying. This would create a much more hostile environment, where servers start attacking their own.
5) This would not discourage Glass Cannon builds at all. From a GC PoV, so long as they kill at least 2 people for every one of their death, they’ve done good.
I could go on, but I think I’ll stop for now. Horribly bad idea, not fully thought out, would do nothing but tear the WvW community apart IMO.
Now ppl can get in WvW when you build up a character without any limit.
Spy is a problem which make wvw lovers crazy, and low level noobies really playing irresponsible, and commanders can do nothing about these.
1, If Anet set some limit for exemple ‘’minimum 40 level to get in wvw’’ will decrease some spy(it’s hard to eliminate all spies. If they insist to spy, they have to level up in this server, and pay more to level up. He probably get some friend in this server by leveling up. maybe they dont want to spy their friend anymore.)
2, And WvW is not a place for you to level up.
1) If your goal is to limit spies, adding a min level will do next to nothing (if not nothing at all) to stop this. It’s very easy to transfer materials to an alt account and power lv them up to (in your case 40). All it will do is aggravate people on your own server who choose to experience/level up in WvW.
What would you do if I were to suggest you needed to be WvW lv 40+ before you were allowed in others Bl? WvW lv 80 before people allowed in EB? I’m guessing you would laugh at that suggestion, but it would deter “spying” more then just putting a min lv req…(please don’t take this is a suggestion from me…)
2)Who are you to tell/suggest to others that WvW is not a place for them to level. It’s an up-leveled zone, so anet obviously wanted this to happen.
I know that my suggestion is not a very good way to change. But if you really care about these problems, plz don’t just criticize my suggestion, but help to give some better solutions. We are here to give suggestions, not to criticize each other.
Most ppl who come here to give suggestions do realize the shortness of the game, not just bored to post some random stuff.
This place is to offer suggestions, and also to criticize others suggestions. If they didn’t want that, then this forum would be locked from replying. Your suggestions aren’t that good, and people are telling you as much. It’s not our fault if you can’t take a little bit of criticism. If we had better ideas, I’m sure we would mention them, but as it stands, your suggestions would do all kinds of harm, with no good.

I don’t play zerker builds, and have beat all of the achievements. Most of it on a Knights geared sword/focus n scepter/focus guardian or a Knights geared sword/shield n rifle warrior. Liadri 8 orbs was done with a p/d condition thief (most (75%+) of that was auto attacks), so I have no clue what you are talking about when you say your condition ranger can’t beat her normally (with or without your pet). Sorry.
Same reason Kholer has Scoripion Wire.
Also, I’ll take Path of Scars over Wire any day.
I think Kholer is more thief than ranger anyways…although his scorpion wire does work on multiple people at the same time…
Just to clarify, 2 players, 1 Deadeye. I got both the Humble and Risk Taker achievements, but not the triple threat even though we had a total of 3 gambits.
This is a bug, you need to do the 3 gambit achievement by itself for some reason (if you get another achievement that run, I don’t think you can get the 3 gambit achievement as well for some reason). I got my 1 gambit, 5 gambit, and humble achievements on 1 run (but didn’t get the 3 gambit achievement).
Yeah they really shouldn’t, but Anet frequently have a kind of knee-jerk reaction to things like this that they didn’t forsee.
As I understand it, the reason for the change was because people were sending their starting tickets from alts to their main, and perhaps creating new characters over and over and getting more? So that meant they wouldn’t have to spend a long time farming them up, and thus Anet stopped it.
I dunno why they didn’t just leave them as they are, and not give new tickets to characters created after the start of the event, but whatever.
tl;dr – you’re being punished because of a few “exploiters”.
I think it was the creating alts that did it. A better fix would have been to just mail you a bunch of tickets ONCE per account (instead of mailing each and every character), and leave the rest of the tickets account bound. Nothing like leveling a character, and getting ticket after ticket after ticket…shes lv 14, and has no hope of doing gauntlet stuff…
I have to agree. Hearing the announcer say you only have a few secs left when you just started gets old. They should have limited this to the area around each arena. When you look at chat you can sometimes see all announcers say the same phrase, at the same time, over and over. It’s one of the reasons I turned off NPC chat.
The version I saw was slightly different – 2 players, 1 opponent.
I’ve seen both that, and when 2 players get to fight 2 bosses (I’ve even seen 2 liadri…and yes, they have double the spawn, and probably double the floor crap but that at least is on top of each other). I’ve also seen someone getting ported in with nothing to fight, and he had to wp out. It’s probably a bug (the 2 players 2 bosses has been arround since the start).

It is not her that is hard, it is the colour of the floor, the camera, and the bugs.
The floor pattern has a set pattern that you can follow. I agree some of the bugs in the gauntlet are a little annoying (try doing Liadri hard hard mode when you join the arena of someone farming dead eye…those mines don’t go away…). While they could have done better with the floor, it’s more then doable with the set patterns. Try lowering the graphics settings if you haven’t yet, that might help your problems a bit.
You made, according to your manifesto, a game for anyone to play. So regardless of skill people understandably want to get their achievements done. They want to at least finish Queen’s Gauntlet the best way they can.
Why do people take what they said in their manifesto (a game for anyone to play) to mean that everything should be easy to get by everyone who tries or barely tries. This is why for this event ANET put in 2 achievement categories. For those that didn’t want/couldn’t beat the gauntlet, they could still enjoy the other side of this living story event.
Their is nothing preventing you from trying to beat these bosses and taking part, but no where in their manifesto did they ever say that everything is achievable by everyone. IF that were the case, I want to place first in one of their PvP tourneys. I think they should nerf the competition soo much that I can win. Or, as a casual player, I think the Emperor achievement (buy every piece of culture gear…so between 700-800 gold) needs to be nerfed so you only need 6 pieces from each race.
This event WILL be coming back at some point. If you don’t get all the achievements this time round, you can always try again when it comes back. I for one do not wish for them to nerf this encounter. No, I have not got all the achievements yet. Yes I plan to continue trying to get them by changing my build around, or trying it with a different character. IF I don’t get them all, I will wait till later, maybe then I’ll be able to complete it.
EDIT: The only thing that needs changing is making the entire gauntlet it’s own instance (you can keep it a public instance, but separate it from the zerg farm below), and have a closer wp (or better yet insta rez when you get “defeated”).

I actually like the way they carry the weapon…and I made my human mesmer look like a barbie, so if she started lugging that thing around like a lumberjack carries his ax I might get worried.
Still no Character Limit/Quality checkbox for PVE (or at the very least in major cities, especially after culling will be turned off).
In case no one else said this yet, this option is coming when culling gets turned off (official post confirmed this here).

starts a very negative tone, and since you can’t tell if you meant this to be in jest, or light humoured, people will take it negatively more often then not. You also said things like

I took this as an attack, so if I did, odds are at least a few others did, and if one of those others works at anet…Their have been many posters who posted similar sentiments, and (as far as I can remember) all those threads were closed soon after. Maybe coincidence, maybe not.

I think there is still a bug with thieves guild and subject 7, when one of the guild thieves uses scorpion wire he yanks one of the oozes outside the dome (it sits on the walkway, friendly, and never goes away). If I were home I could show kitten of more then a few oozes chilling with the people waiting in q. I’ve also had someone else join my Liadri attempt, which spawned…another Liadri. was interesting to say the least…
Eh I don’t really agree. I like how Anet is doing the presents. Everyone gets the same mini pet when they turn 1, so nobody is “luckier” or “favored”.
If it was RNG based, a lot of people would be upset because they didn’t get the mini they wanted, and would whine like nobody’s business on the forums. Well, I guess they do that anyway, but I assume it could get worse.
Even if the RNG minis weren’t account bound, and were able to be traded on the TP, some minis would cost considerably more than others. All I need to say is compare Lord Faren’s mini to Lady Kasmeer’s mini. Lord Faren is around 2 gold while Kasmeer hovers around 20 gold. An even bigger difference is the Jackalope and the Undead Chicken. They’re both exotics, but the chicken is about 70 gold, and the jackalope hovers around 150-160 gold. How about that exotic baby karka mini that goes for 200 gold? All of those minis are exotics, but some are clearly more popular than others. The same thing would happen to RNG birthday minis. 7 of the 10 RNG birthday minis would sell for 1 gold, while the 3 favorites would go for hundreds of gold. Then people would flock to the forums complaining about how they got the cheap mini for their birthday and not the expensive one, and how they can’t afford to buy the expensive ones because they’re not “rich enough”.
The system Anet has is fine. It mimics the achievement award system, and I have no problem with it.
How about mimicking the skin part of the achievement system, and offer us a choice of mini pets for our birthday They could even remain account bound, so long as we we’re given x number of the same mini pet? I think the reason for MANY of the complaints comes solely from the fact that my second and third (and 4th….etc) character will give me…the same mini pet (I’m not referring to those that created 8 characters on day 1 to make a profit like some posts have been suggesting, but for anyone that has more then 1 character on their account…eventually they will reach 1 year in age). And I’m guessing if they are like other mini pets given to us you won’t be able to sell or mf them…It’s like another version of that stupid Mini Risen Priests of Balthazar…
What possible items could they add that were WvW related though? The only thing I can think of are superior style BPs, but if you are a casual WvWder (as in those ppl that just play on fridays) I doubt they would buy this…
Quick ideas:
1) Battle standards
2) Instruments of war (battle drums?)
3) Custom siege skins
4) Custom tower/keep skins
5) Custom tower/keep guardsetc etc
K, now I just hate you. Every time I lay down my siege, I’m going to think “why doesn’t this look cooler”, or when I’m defending something, I’ll think of how much cooler it would be to defend this place if it were a gingerbread house…
The combat log doesn’t register everything. In fact it doesn’t register most. I can see my damage versus some players, then against others my combat log doesn’t even register that I started attacking them, let alone kill them. At least this is what I’ve noticed….it could also be that insta skill hack, but I have yet to see that personally.
Conditions also rarely show up.

Pretty much this. But I think they are wrong with this assumption. Tons of players play it at least once (friday) a week and that one day in a week would be reason enough for players to buy something WvW related from the gemstore, imo.

Not really. What you posted is not what anyone has asked for in this thread. Making wxp account bound instead of character bound is 100% reasonable if only for the fact that the other side of pvp already has account based lvs.
That is how they did it in GW1, so I doubt they would change it for GW2.
We use to be able to do 3x or 4x the number of emotes currently available to us, so sadly what you said might not hold true (not to mention that so far we know of only 1 mini instead of the RNG from GW1)…

Not to mention the fact that because of the new Royal Terrace in DR, you better believe every city will get one. This should already be something every city has – and should be there for free. Anet should encourage people to use their races cities – not ensure they all just hang around Lion’s Arch all day.
This was a big problem with GW1 as well. Every main city of the game was dead except for Lion’s Arch (in Tyria, anyway). They should want Charr to hang out in the Black Citadel – Asura to hang out in Rata sum, etc.
A) You need to pay an absurd amount of gems for this convenience. So let’s not act like it’s a huge deal.
B) AC was also always very populated (in Tyria), but the main reason LA was always full was it was the main trade hub in Tyria. With no Trading Post/Auction hall, we were forced to spam our wares to sell them. Why would I go to some outpost in the hopes that someone there would buy my stuff, instead of meeting in 1 area where people knew things were being sold. Every MMO (if guild wars 2 can be considered an MMO) in existence forms these meeting places, be it for trade, group forming, or general Akitteng to show off your toon.
The whole point in LA is that it’s a meeting place for all races. That way we can all go to one area instead of being isolated in our own towns. Would I like to use the other towns? sure, but it will almost always be on a temporary basis, unless 1 town starts to offer more then LA does (permanent SAB! I would live in that town!).
On the other hand, one who plays multiple cahracters in WvW (I am leveling currently my 4th character for WvW) has a wider understanding of them and knows how to face other professions, for he knows it’s weaknesses and streanghts. I am mostly playing as a roamer WvW and leveling WvW ranks on my different alts is a pain, so I have given up on WvW ranks all together. .

But, take that logic into s/tPvP. You can get to a very high rank with one toon, then start playing a new alt and it still have all the benefits of the high rank (more skins, different finishers….). Soulbound wxp is just one more example of how this game hates alts (like the recent change to the jubilee tickets…).
WXP is character progression after level 80. if you want WXP account bound, why not ask for levels to be account bound too?
Then shouldn’t titles be character bound? Shouldn’t PvP ranks be character bound? Shouldn’t dungeon tokens be character bound? This game is full of stuff that you can “achieve or progress” on one character, and transfer that work to another character. You can level an alt character to 80 very very quickly (hell you can craft it to 80 in a 1-2 hours), try leveling to wvw rank past 20 in that same amount of time…

On the matter of the OP, if your server isn’t aware or able to stop Mesmers from doing this, this is a L2P issue. It’s akin to complaints about Mesmers porting in allies cuz your side forgot to sweep, or didn’t sweep well enough.
I DCed during the opening ceremony and didn’t have a problem getting back in.
Couldn’t they have made the ones in the mail soul bound, but the ones from drops account bound? Seems like a huge waste getting them on my very low lv alts…
