Ectoplasm salvage rates drop yet again

Well take into account that some salvages give you upto 3 globs. You will average about 1 glob per rare with the master salvage kit.

Well the good thing about the karka is that they have a chance to drop t6 blood. Being an elementalist I do not find the volley attack of the young karka to difficult. I just reflect it back and let them kill themselves or block it with swirling winds (off hand focus). The main thing I hate about the karka is that 1min retaliation buff veterans have. Still it is another place for me to get orichalcum at.

@icecat4528 Rares are difficult to get unless it is a zerg type of event with multiple mobs. Otherwise you can spent an hour in the zone without seeing any. That is what it is like for me when I do a gathering runs in Orr.

The only ascended gear I have seen are accessories trinkets and back pieces. So player with those items will not have a huge advantage. If you want to 1v2 or 1v3 that is all about skill and your build.

Lunaria/Solaria 40 all stats, 5% crit damage, 1mf and 5 agony resist if (infused). Those are the best 2 rings. Similiar to the Triforge amulet(80g in AH). Those will be the most valued rings to find.

Signet of Restoration vs Glyph of Harmony

in Elementalist

Posted by: Ulion.5476

Ulion.5476

Best for hps Ether Renewal > Signet of Restoration > Glyph of Harmony. The passive for Signet of Restoration gives you as much hps as Glyph of Harmony but if SoR is on cooldown you lose a ton most of your healing. This make Written in stone a requirement for it or you have rely on the passive and not use the active heal unless you know you are about to win. Ether Renewal is the best heal but it takes double the time to use and can be interrupted. Glyph of Harmony is the safest heal to use. Either way do a farming run or Spvp to test them yourself and choose the one you like the best.

Triforge Pendant

Ulion.5476

With the amount of time it takes to craft some mystic forge items the triforge should be upgraded. Ascended suppose to be inbetween exotic and legendary, some of the good-looking exotic already cost as between 80-300g in mats compared to the 400g in mat for a legendary (assuming your precursor is 100g). So the foefire essense, winterbite, triforge, etc should all get an upgrade to ascended.

Legendarys are over the top

Here’s a simple solution that everyone should be able to agree on: let achievement points go towards legendary components or legendaries themselves. That way you could actually work towards a legendary by actually enjoying and participating in all facets of the game and not just mindlessly grinding, playing the TP, or exploiting.

THIS^

You can still grind that by using agent of entropy. 200 salvage =2 achievement points. I have gained about 300 points because of that.

I see a lot of people saying it’s happening, but what manipulation is taking place?

He is talking about flipping items. Order an item at a low price them resell it at full price. Overall the player that are making legendaries so fast are spending most of their game time farming in Orr. Making +10gold a day. I just do not find farming above 2hrs a day to be fun so I am taking my time.

Legendarys are over the top

Well you picked one of the most popular and expensive legendaries to make. Orichalcum and the armored scales, can be slowly farmed from making mystic clovers and orichalcum map runs, 30min per map 2 maps 10 nodes ~15ingots a day (if you are just going for nodes). I have already farmed about ~1000 orichalcum ingots from a my daily map runs. The precursors prices are stupidly expensives but warriors/guardians are very popular classes to play. Sellers can get away with that price since their is a high demand for those ultra rare items and some players have that much money(not sure how).

Still it is a issue bought up by many players. I just feel that it is suppose to take ~100g on exotic for the mystic forge to get one. That is not happening for most players and some player think that attempting to get a precursor with rares is better because you can make more attempts. I find that to be flawed because the chances of getting a exotic about 1/20 so getting a precursor from rares would have a worst chance.

The price of globs have been slowly increase with the ban on some bots and players starting to buy the 500 they need for their legendaries. But you can reduce the cost of globs by buying rares to salvage. Still glob have increased by 1 silver a day this week.

Legendaries are suppose to take some time to make so slowly buy the materials for them. Atm it will take me one more month to get the karma globs and icy runes for my legendary (I am making a cheap one). So it will take 100days or so from start to finish.

We can get some great condition removal. With Cleansing Fire, Cleansing Wave(the skill and the trait), and Evasive Arcana you can be nearly immune to conditions. It is a complaint from necros, that the bunker builds not only ele, are quite adapt at removing conditions.

In beta was using a signet/aura type build with signet of water and cleansing fire. Condition builds can stack up alot of damage within 10sec and easily reapply it. It was just the low hp that I had issues with.

Unless I am up against multiple opponents underwater I do not run out of cc and blinds. My main attunement is air and each volley damage about ~1200 total damage. A good hit with tidal wave (~6hits or so)can do about 9k if you have an exotic weapon.

Staff is great if you are in a group and are not being focused, otherwise you will not fare well against anyone solo. If you want to solo in WvW use S/F you gain a ton of survivability or D/D for burst. I have solo’d camps, won a couple of 1v3 and killed a target in the middle of a zerg without support or dieing. 20-30-10-0-10 S/F aura build.

I only tried a bunker build back in beta but decided against it since condition spec can easily destroy someone with low hp. I think I had around 13k hp and 3100 armor back then. Other than that bunker builds have great survivability. I guess their are few players that spec for conditions in tpvp with some professions that have group condition removals available.

A problem I have with the guide is that Focus should have the highest survivablity. Staff and Focus both have 4 stars. When you look at all of the healing water skills most are 20sec cd but all of the spamable heals will heal you for ~1400 damage in 20sec.

Healing rain has a long cd and you have to stand still to use it meaning it is not the best for solo combat, while the focus comparable survivability skill is obsidian flesh which make you immune to damage for 4sec. When a enemy or enemies are attacking you which would you rather have?

You can daze them with comet or knockdown one gale both can be used to start a combo chain or run. Also, Focus has multiple ways to deal with range based damage (swirling winds, magnetic wave, obsidian flesh). The only thing staff has over focus in survivability are slows.

You can tank for awhile with a S/F blind build. You can kill a opponent blind for 10sec or so. After that you will have to use the other control skills(inv, daze, reflect, freeze) but your target should be dead before you multiple blinds are on cd for to long. You can take on 3-4 enemies with all of your utilities skills. It is easiest to kill multiple opponent with staff but S/F blind build can lock down a single opponent better.

I use a valkyrie set for dungeons Power/vitality/critical damage and a masterwork magic find set for farming. The masterwork MF set gives you the same amount of MF as a exotic set just slightly less damage. I will make a exotic MF set when i get the money for it.
