Honestly, you guys need to work on your community in this time, forget about the score. While I wasn’t going to say anything, I’ve gotten quite a few tells from your guilds asking to transfer here. The main reason they are saying, the TC they joined before is not what the TC is now. Apparently you guys are trying to create an alliance or military council or something over there now to compete and it’s ruining the smaller guilds? Stay true to what got you guys here, don’t try to be like anyone else, you are TC, forget the councils, forget the dictatorships, alliances, all that BS. Just do what you guys do and make stronger what got you here in the first place.

This post reflects my feelings about the state of TCs WvW. No, I am not going to join a VoIP server. I am going to listen to Spotify and talk to friends.

I don’t want to win I want to enjoy the community we had. Splitting TC into VoIP and not VoIP has been something I’ve opposed since day one.

I will still be around hoping for good things come February but the state of our WvW community and the state of the game is not helping.

Everyone needs to realize that we can talk about these sorts of issues but we have to do it with a great deal of tact! Cheaters ruin our collective fun!

Here we go, another locked thread… We (servers, collectively) need to come up with a way to talk about exploit issues.

I really think GW2 needs peer review tools like LoL has. Or at the very least, an open guild that people can join to smooth over the effects of any cheating. While the cheating doesn’t really change the game, the enjoyment we all get from WvW is lessened by these types.

Of course, Anet should just remove the ability to exploit but I am sure they have “top men” on it.

You (IoJ) should be used to that from BG (Oceanic) / SoR (More NA) though. As for TC, we will try and hold on more than a week in T2, but I have my pessimistic reservations. That said, I will be watching this match with great interest! So make some great battle reports and score updates for me please?

Anet, the next month is critical. What you’re seeing here is not typical forum tears from 12 year olds with no clue.

And for Kittens-sake, fix the tower/keep/castle wall jumping. For the love of Dolyaks tone down breakout events. For the love of Rurik fix the invulnerable spots in the borderlands, its small but it generates a HUGE amount of reports for your reports team. Moving one or two bounding boxes will drastically reduce report volume from WvW’ers.

The invulnerable spot isn’t a “game changer” in the mechanical sense but it shows the WvW’ers that month after month and patch after patch, that you’re not agile in fixing even the smallest of problems.

One thing we have to remember… we’ve already bought the game. Any more profit Anet can expect to make off of us is from the gem store… and us WvWers tend not to care about that sort of stuff as much. If Anet is concerned at all about profit they’ll spend most of their energy on the PvE “collector” type players… It’s plain business sense, disappointing though it may be.

Then make skins for Rams, Arrow Carts, Balista, Catapults, and Trebs. If I could launch over sized banicle- encrusted Treb payloads at little kittens that need to die, I would sink / gold / money into the gem store to get it.

Instead, we get presents, from a one off PvE holiday event. Just like we got pumpkins from a one off PvE holiday event. They have this functionality. They should use it to make money! Make money from WvW = more people working on WvW = more money…

Anet’s monitization is criminal and that department is either being grossly mismanaged or its full of incompetents. Oh whatever. Not like anyone reads anything.

This is going to be so awkward when were back in a week. The rating system is, odd. Then again CD or FA might get somehow bumped down by IoJ and then bounced back up from T4 in two weeks time.

Don’t get me wrong, as a glass cannon Mesmer I melt thieves if they don’t get the total jump on me.

However, killing someone in 3 hits that can be hasted is, oh I don’t know BULL-Kitten? Two of those attacks are done from the protection of relative stealth. Steal is more or less instant cast.

My friend directly said “Getting killed in 3-4 hits by thieves [in WvW]” was their reason for quitting and they have not been on since.

(The only way I survive an ambush as a Mesmer is to blink away from the opening three attacks as they happen, if all 3 go off in the 1-3 second window I am dead. Add lag in there and usually I am dead before it even shows up on my end.)

If I didn’t have that blink (Staff #2) I would be dead every time.

I like to be up front about the dying. Because there is going to be plenty of it. <3

TC is a pretty great server that uses /team a lot and egos are often checked at the spawn.

Edit: I’ve gone to lengths to shout in Lion’s Arch about the Mist Wars and how every sword helps! It helps when your borderland is on the verge of collapse during off hours.

I am sure if I really wanted to I could dramatically boost TC’s WvW participation with some well written messages to get people interested in dying for a cause.

The point is the NPC overshadows players. That is not good. At all. The only NPC that overshadows single players in Dota2 is Roshan and attempting to kill him is a huge risk.

There is no risk in the breakout event. And the commander Navelgazer hits like Roshan.

Any time after level 30 – if you like PvP you will have a blast all the way to 80. This is my opinion, but having that elite skill is pretty important to a good time! Also you have gear with better stat selections so you can focus a build to more your playstyle and what your class offers.

No reason not to start at level 2 if there aren’t any queue’s imo.

It is about 10x as easy to level in WvW after 30 than before it. At levels less than ten you will be getting ~10exp per kill. You will have to WvW for ages to get to 30 and that is when your class begins to shine.

Class, professions w/e.

I think there should be a cross server guild called “Report [HAX]” and have people there cooperate to drive exploiters from WvW etc. That would be nice and someone should totally do that while I am work.

Please let them know that such exploitation will not be tolerated.

It was those Clowns (hehe) for me last week in CD BL Bay. I would never forget a face like that. Not that Anet will do anything. Name and shame is our only option.

I reported someone on TC for exploiting in WvW and two months later they are still running around no problem. It was all very documented. Also this person has like 4 legendary items so either they are silly rich and love to spend or an exploiter that didn’t get the ban hammer. My faith in Arena net dealing with this type of kittenry is low to say the least.

I look forward to my infraction for whatever made up reason the mod chooses!

I can say as a TC insomniac and someone that has fought CD’s and FA’s night/morning crew (I’m PST) that a 450 person guild would crush any T3 server’s night presence if they fielded 30 people in the borderlands.

I am almost certain most WvWer’s do not like it and either outright hate or desperately want it scaled down and not just be a “free tower” if your 10+ people have any competency at all.

Here is some fun math for you.
10 people with +15 supply (not hard to get) = 150 supply

2 nearly free catapults / other semi free siege cost from Commander Kitten: less than 10 supply.

So, now we have 140 supply.

Regular catapult – 50 supply, so that leaves you 2 more catapults and you have 40 supply to put up another cart/balista as well.

That equals 4 shielded catapults hammering a most likely wooden fort. When the fort is wooden, the walls were 10% as the shields dropped with 4 catapults.

Now lets go back and say we use only Guild Catapults (25 supply each)

140 / 25 = 5 Guild Catapults + the 2 “free” catapults = 7 shielded catapults. Good luck not having your wooden/stone walls breached in record time. If you have Steel walls I am sure you would have an opportunity to actually attack the siege.

This call be done with a “force” of ten people who do not run for supply at all and with relative ease. Does anyone play test anything?
