TC has been punished routinely. I am pretty sure the BG/KN/TC matchup last two weeks counts. Basically it went DB late night, followed by BG until about 3:00pm PST. Holding the northern section of our Borderlands was a treat we had to bust our kittens to enjoy.

In an Ideal World:

T1 – BG/JQ/SoR
T2 – KN/TC/FA
T3 – SoS/DB/Yaks
T4 – Mag/SBI/CD
T5 – ??? no clue beyond this point

Seriously. Last month I tried to do dungeons but I just couldn’t bring myself to do something I hate for laurels so this month I am much happier that you’re not trying to cram Fractals/Dungeons down my throat with “incentives.”

Thank you for getting more back on track with your mantra of “play how you want” and less with “we will only reward you properly if you’re running dungeons.”

PiNK and maybe 1-2 others show up from time to time (20+ players), but usually TC is a mix of tiny 1-20 person guilds just banding together to attack or defend a target.

Don’t get me wrong, TC has players, but just watch guild tags this week and you will see what I mean.

TC mostly operates in a militia style so there are plenty of small fights to be had. For areas around supply camps this holds especially true.

Fun fact: Maurice LaMarche voice of GW1’s Vexx was also the voice of the Brain in the Animaniacs. Clearly all Asura channel the Brain. And if you’re channeling Pinky, well then you’re a bookah!

Full time WvW players are like pack of hungry animals, if Anet didn’t starve us to near-death, ignore us completely for months on end like a neglected puppy in a cardboard box full of barbwire and hand out the beating to the side of said box with a big bat… just to annoy us a bit more.

We’d actually be happy

We’d be happy and not have to kill every single living thing we come across
We wouldn’t have to break everyone’s stuff just for 1s45c a hit
We’d not have the necessary level of sheer hatred to murder 1000’s of people in the space of a few hours BECAUSE THEY TOUCH OUR STUFF.

That level of desperation, hatred and an unhealthy dose of antisocial personality disorder, is what makes a wvw player.

It is super nice that this isn’t a bug. We’re still pretty straved here. I play WvW for hours upon hours and my reward is losing money. lol. I could only imagine my mind if WvW actually gave me something. :x

You know, like those PvE folks and their tens of gold. SO RICH.

That makes me so sad.

That this bug will be fixed in less than a week…and all these other issues have persisted for months. Ugh.

Honestly, if my character wasn’t a mesmer I would be pretty upself about some of the builds I have to tip toe around.

The moderators here are not support. All specific instances of a support ticket (regardless of content) will be deleted. This is just how every MMO I’ve played does it.

Gosh it would be nice if Anet actually gave a kitten about WvW and then we wouldn’t have to pretend we can find an answer.

Personally I think all corpses should auto respawn at the basic waypoint in 5 minutes and the wvw AFK timer should be bumped up to 15 minutes of inactivity = boot. This would help queues as well as solve this “problem.” Or be more extreme and make it 3 minutes so it gives zergs more of a reason to push during a field battle so they can rez the fallen or…

There are about a hundred and one simple things Anet could do to improve the WvW metagame and the crumby mechanics but they won’t. Join sPvP instead and pay for tickets lolololololol

I think no one would miss thieves but thieves if they were entirely removed from WvW, much like the culling they use to achieve a 100% stealth rate. XD

Asking thieves + dead mesmers to not try and take back a keep/tower is like asking another server to not bunch up and portal bomb. It has become a play mechanic that uses the crumby culling system to be effective and its a pain in the butt.

In other words, it takes a degree of coordination and a lack of attention from the defending server to be effective. Portal bombs wouldn’t be effective with proper scouting and reporting just like defenders in towers and keep reduces the effectiveness of a dead mesmer / thief combo. Granted preventing this combo from flipping a keep or a garrison is much more personnel intensive.

Basically, it is a part of the stupid buggy mess that is WvW. Thanks anet!

I am burned out on WvW being a HUGE after-thought from Anet developers. Endless bugs/exploits, entire “reward” systems being removed when the solution to fixing them was simple and endlessly repeated by the WvW community. Drops that have become progressively more worthless. Culling becoming a diaster, exploits taking 2+ months to fix, Thieves + culling issues creating a perma-stealth capable class etc etc.

It is enough to make anyone go “Well, Kitten this!” We are not where Anet wants us to be. They want us in their boring e-sport: sPvP. sPvP doesn’t support emergent gameplay on the same scale that WvW manages to do in its very Beta state.

Yeah you could say I am burned…

I know there are changes to achievements and possibly titles as well as changes to when orange swords are displayed (more than 20 people attacking the same target) but beyond that I am clueless.

Does anyone know what the long awaited WvW patch will contain this upcoming month?

There is a disparity of WvW players during non-NA primetime hours. Weird. I wonder if this is why TC will lose (nothing) again this week too?

The player spawn zones are really too big in my opinion, but considering that the simplest bugs in WvW take 3-6 months to fix, I would expect anything out of this thread.

The past two days have been interesting! I am pretty sure at one point BG had like 5+ golems built and ready to go in TC BL from like 11pm – 4:00am (server time).

So…what’s going on with the queues? Entire guilds aren’t getting into the maps and the largest group most maps have is around 25.

TC had this problem last week. SoR wouldn’t believe it, but it has been happening since the patch.

Lets be honest, if a server has the capability to take control os the 3 orbs, that doesnt make it an unbalanced mechanic, it shows that the other 2 server lacked the strategy and capability of defending their high value target. Simple as that. It like a chess game, if you don’t protect your king, you lose

Chess is much more “fair” than WvW.

1 king
1 queen
2 rooks
2 bishops
2 knights
8 pawns

Both sides have these pieces and each piece is of the same value. WvW is not chess. WvW is a coverage/population/morale/skill game with thousands of people. Chess can be played with two people, or even one person just fine.
