There’re so many threads similar to this I’m not sure my comment will be seen at all, and it’s probably already been said, but I honestly don’t think ANet knows what they want to do with the necromancer or how to make it an ‘attrition’ class.

People complain about how necros have a second HP via Deathshroud/Lifeforce and how necros have the highest base health pool of the light classes; if you play necro, you see that they don’t have any reliable skills available to them that can be used to disengage so a high base HP is necessary. I’m not saying necros should be like eles in any way, but I see eles and despite their low base HP, I feel (at least with D/D eles) that they have good/decent sustain via switching to water attunement, Cone of Cold, Cleansing Wave, Evasive Arcana and arguably Signet of Restoration.

I suppose you could argue that’s a different sort of sustain, but that’s just my opinion. I’m not sure if it holds any water or is particularly valid but yeah. I don’t know~

Didn’t you hear? Everyone has to play according to the ppt-focused master plan grand strategy type thing. If you want to just go onto a WvW map and fight whoever the hell you want as if WvW is a casual game mode then you get scolded on the forums.

It must be hard being the WvW weatherman.

Blood Fiend is a god awful skill/heal. I don’t want something like warrior’s healing signet (I wouldn’t complain but we all know it would get nerfed), but maybe something the elementalist’s healing signet, in that we gain a small amount of health per attack as the passive effect and then a burst heal as the active effect? I don’t know.

At first I was angry about TC coming to MagBL just to fight SoS; but then I got warm fuzzies when I realized that they were looking for fights and realized that, even on mag’s BL, the best ones are with SoS.

If by best you mean the ones they can win.

Yeah, they were winning so much that we stood back and watched AGG and NS destroy their queue map blob to keep it fair(it was a classic mishmash blob too, nothing resembling coordination; just hurling bags…I mean bodies at us.)

Well, Agg is leaving soon (sometime next week I heard), so so much for the best fights being with SOS lol. It was very kind of the Australian National Army to deliver lootbags to us on TCBL and EB this morning though.

There is no way to stop the blob… it is all-encompassing and will soon engulf and consume us until there is nothing left. But it all seriousness, whilst I like the idea, I can definitely see the cons of it just further strengthening the existing zerg trend though it would also empower smaller groups.

I’d love to have my party of 5 people be able to build siege without having to run back and forth. TL;DR: Yes, it empowers smaller havoc groups but it doesn’t solve the zerg dilemma.

I know it’s not a water field; I’m referring to the groups who will be running eles and who will be dropping Staff Water #3 and #5.

So are they nerfing PU/Blackwater?

I kind of think, in theory, it works really well. But in my experience in zerg fights, if I’m running with an organised group, I’m not going to drop Well of Blood down on our stack when we pull out as it risks overwriting the water field which will heal for more when you have quite a few people blasting on it. Moreover, speed imo is the other advantage that the water field + blast combo has over Well of Blood. Having our group sit in one spot for 10 secs is a bit risky.

I like the heal from the Transfusion trait but I feel right now, as it stands, healing is something other classes (namely elementalist) do better.

If you have enough boon duration, you can just cycle Warhorn #5 (Locust Swarm) and Spectral Walk and tada, perma swiftness.

Do you guys not get bored of this? :/

Update for all those coming in on page 7… 50% posts from Starscream, 25% of BG trolling Starscream, and 25% of TC posting that there is no 2v1 (I believe you TC <3 ). You do know you don’t get a special forum badge or anything for post count right? Maybe they are paying you 1c per post. I’ve heard forum warriors with your level of dedication are going for at least 2-3c a post, so you are a real bargain.

Seriously though BG, I just waited in queue for 30 minutes, and zoned in to see about 25 afk in spawn. If you aren’t playing then get out.

Are you sure we make up 25% lol? I think you should change that to 75% Starscream and 25% BG… like 8 of the posts on this page are his (or hers?).

Oh okay, I was wondering. I only noticed because I use axe a lot and this was pretty annoying.

I don’t know if this has already been mentioned (I did use the search function and found nothing on ‘axes’ or ‘necromancers’!) but using the axe autoattack on ambient creatures such as rabbits puts us in combat when I’m pretty sure that it shouldn’t.

Using the autoattacks on any other of the necromancer weapons doesn’t put us in combat as far as I’m aware so this is something that needs to be fixed on the axe.
