this item was complete TRASH compared to other (pretty much ANY OTHER ) item from thee gem store….
only reason to get one is if someone buys u a ton of gems and you have them to spare

It would be a honestly good idea to upgrade this item for everyone who bought it AT LEAST to a masters, mainly to replace the mystic salvage kit (which is cheaper to get… SIGNIFICANTLY!!!!!!!!!)
i could see 10c /use, 800 gems, unlimited uses, and same as masters. all it would do is replace the mystic recipe for the forge, (small fee each time u use it though), but you dont have to ALWAYS ave it in the store. basic just makes no sense unless it is UNDER 200 gems (lets face it, basic is crap to begin w/)

They m,issed the countless bugs that THEY dont care about but ALOT of their gamers do that have been their since the beta. hell alot of them have gotten worse with game updates (not better) and i just seams like they dont care about the same things the gamers do anymore
since actions speak loader than words, this must mean they dont care. I mean if you blatantly ignored someone, wouldnt that mean you didnt care about them and that you wanted them to leave you alone about it?
I think the dodge roll is a great idea.
What I think is a bad idea, is having various classes have unequal access to additional invulnerability skills. That creates an imbalance. What I also think is a bad idea, is the reliance on red circles to indicate danger. In any other game, you’d simply see what you’re supposed to dodge. The art department has failed immensely in this regard. The red circles are a band aid, to what is clearly a flaw in the design of the game’s visuals.
i would still like to see better uses of dodge, and i would like to see the stack on alpha subject and ROLL INTO his attack fail, so that you actually have to fight him instead of cheat.. so tired of ppl thinking you have to do that cheat to beat him….
anet missing possible income left and right, should really have implemented this from the start!

I am trying to figure out why it is that sometimes when i use the back button on the forum threads, it will cycle between acting like a back button and a forward button?
i.e if i post a reply and i try to go back to the main topic area (i.e. bugs or suggestions), once i get back to the first page i was on, on THAT thread, back will become forward button, i click it again and its back to back, and it just keeps cycling like that.
you would actually need to code a script to get it t do that, which IS NOT normal or the way ts supposed to behave. if i wanted to, i would make a script t do it myself on my user end, or i would simply google and download one

when everyone has a speed buff, no one has a speed buff. Might as well ask for all speed buffs to be taken away.

i disagree, i think the dodge roll was a good idea… just too buggy and needs alot of work
for example, if i am experiencing lag, it WILL NOT matter which direction i hold down, i WILL dodge in a random direction (even set up mouse left and right scroll for left and right dodge for when i am in game, and that doesnt work)
But when i DO dodge away, i have gotten hit (i.e. colossas boss that can 1-hit me with his hammer) which doesnt make since if i am dodging, which just goes to show that it is NOT simple invulnerability.
they need to make dodge direction register on the computers end, not server, even though the dodge roll needs to be registered on the server. then they could make it if u dodge into an attack u take double dmg and get kd. and if you dodge away, ur immune to kd and actually dodge the attack
if he would fix the bugs inherited in the system, it would be significantly better
Imagine a mesmer with +25% speed running away from you in WvW, that’s why they don’t have too many skills that apply swiftness.
i got on better. imagine a mesmer using sword focus for the swiftness ability and the imaginary leap ability. 6 is the mantra for healing, 7 is blink, 8 is mantra for condition removal, 9 is feedback, and 0 is mass invis.
start of with imaginary leap and vear of in a direction oposite of were your planning, as they chase u and not the clone, u use swap (imaginary leap secondary ability, sword skill) followed by focus run ability then mass invis. traits have to be set up in a way that each time you dodge you create a clone. this allows you to make clones to attack, confusing enemy while your invis. other skillz are for defensive reasons (range attacks, immobilize (blink) and cripple)
basically, as long as you dont mess up, u can run from anything pretty effectively
and this comes from a zerker mes :P
and if u use blink and a sword w/ a focus, theirs a few more tricks mesmres can employ, tricks no other class can do, closest being thf
I really love the ability of currently 5 classes to run 25% faster all the time.
It makes doing maps in PvE and running around in WvW so much better. I also use swiftness, to get that little more speed form time to time, but it pains me that 3 out of my 8 characters (1 for each class) are so slow…Especially Mesmer that has almost none swiftness ability, except for focus 4th skill, but let’s face it. It’s way too little speed boost for this class even with all utility skills.
Guardian? Why am I always forced to run with the staff for almost constant swiftness?
Engineer is best of those 3 for me but also it pains me.Please ANET make all characters run the same speed to make it equal a bit in WvW and for convenience in PvE.
umm… actually for guardians, use “retreat” for constant swiftness (lasts alot longer)
plus if you notice, when someone is watching a movie and a monster attacks them, 1 of 2 things happen. either the person is invunerable and the mob keeps attacking, like in a dungeon, which means that u can farm mobs off of players watching a cut scene. the other is the player takes damage like when watching a vista.
the only other way would be like they already do do in dungeons and FotM

I don’t understand your concern. You want to watch the battlefield before you join – activate the camera and observe for how long you want and enjoy the show, you wanna rush straight away, ok, no one is stopping you. Event is going as any other event now.
This would be another option for anyone to experience how other players fare and in a new way.
ummm… starting an event means running oer to the area its taking place, to do it any other way would mean to make an instance of it, and that many instances would be server/connection heavy, and they would need to do A LOT more server maintenance, or have significantly bigger servers

I don’t even try to think of removing a way for moving quickly to distant maps, no no. I just hate the teleporting on the same map over and over because someone said – hey there’s a champion ready near this WP, later another champion at other WP.
Maybe a little timer would suffice – 5 minutes, maybe 10 to discourage ppl to just blink. Of course this would lead to a lof frustration if someone teleported and missed the boss and he have to teleport to other location but this is what I am talking about – “kitten, I’ve missed Shattered. Nothing to do here.”
I want for players to have something to do even when the main event passed.I can feel it myself, especially after Claw, Tequatl and Shatterer are defeated – I stand for a few seconds thinking what to do next, where to go. I never think – ok, let’s roam here a bit and see what I can do HERE.

removing any aspect of it and you remove an aspect ppl already use it for.
a better idea would be to make it more rewarding to not use a wp in the same area your already in (except for towns) unless you are dead. like increase the silver cost 2-5 times if your using a wp w/i the same map
OHH and when anet released the wallet, it scanned you bank and each of your characters inventory (meaning their was something in the update that affected inventory), and how can you claim you do extensive testing when they didn’t even catch something like this?
its a bug that got released during this last living story, or the update before that.
anyway, im starting to think that anet releases these bugs on purpose, i mean how else could they be so perfectly hidden in the updates, yet seam designed almost too perfectly

As I’ve said, every player can do it but INDEPENDENTLY from each other, so if one wants to fight form the start – ok, go there and join the fray! But if someone want to have some overview, he can activate the camera and will see the battle and the first player who is rushing just now.
No one will be blocked or will have to wait for other players.
so if were all supposed to be working on the event together… how is that accomplished if were doing it independently? just doesn’t make sense from a programming/gaming aspect
Of course that every thing added to the game may impact the performance but I don’t believe that new events spread over the entire map could significantly lower your pleasure from gaming.
Few more timers and variables responsible for keeping the states of these events shouldn’t be much of a problem, imo.

2 more you add, more is on server, more has to be updated, the laggier the game is, the less one is able to play it
3 ppl with low system requirement will suffer much more SEVERLY than ppl with money, making this more of a rich mans mmo
IMO the simplest solution would be to talk to some NPC. By default your name would not be on this plate but if you asked/demanded it, your name would appear.
that’s still requiring the player to do something that they wouldn’t have to do, or know how to do in the first place
and if your solution to that is a hint.. well they still haven’t fixed the hints or he bugs inthem
much simpler would be to talk to an npc to get your name on it, but then ppl would complain abut not knowing about or something
I understand that the waypoint system that is now in game have so much grown into the skin of everyone that almost no one will want any change to it. However my point stands – it’s not helping enjoying the world.
Create fresh character, forget about Pavilon, farming champions and world bosses. Take this character and go on an adventure. Immerse into the world. Fight your way to next waypoint who is your anchor in case you die, not point in a web that you can blink to anytime you want.
Btw. is there anywhere at least explained why I can teleport from any place in the world, even underground to any of the Waypoints? I know that they are made by Asura but why any young Sylvari can disappear from one point to appear in another?
umm… a lot of gamers would disagree with you, and no the asurans DID NOT make the wp’s, they made the asuran gates (notice the word asuran before that)

why would i want to stay stay in a the shiverpeaks when ive gotten bored w/ them and i would much rather enjoy the view halfway up in metrica provence’s jump puzzel, or if i wanted to go to a dungeon

no.. stuff like this increases the amunt of info your computer needs to sync w/ the server, making it worse for players w/ lower internet conections
besides, what about the players who dont and WOULDNT want their names on that monument or plate

agreed, but not at the expense of increased bandwidth or system resources. remember their are a lot of emotes that not only dont work, but dont have an error message. i would really like to see them release some of the emotes from gw1 (like /flute and /guitar) along w/ some other things
Anet is talking that they want to have a living world. If I understand this concept properly, all you wanna implement is rotations for events depending on a season and a story that can be expanded all you want bit by bit. And new territories and enemies need to have some background – why are they suddenly in game.

EVERY EVENT SHOULD HAVE THIS MECHANIC to give us intro of what’s to come – centaurs attack town – we can launch this cinematic camera to dynamically show us what is going on, that people are dying, screams are heard, monsters ale laughing.
Tyria SHOULD BE FILLED with small events – children are taken by drakes to their lair to feed the young that are hatching and crying mother asks us to help her. This event should not be showed on map for everyone to zerg there and just we’ll get medieval on their… eggs. This should be personal – do we want to help or not?
This would alter the personality statistic of charisma, dignity or ferocity and available dialog options in these little events. If we were neutral, we could choose anything we want – to help, to walk away, to kill everything, to liberate children and demand money for them. When our personality shifted, these options would be more and more limited. Brute would beat the women and take all her money, diplomatic would receive money from nearest town for help, noble would gain more karma.
yes and no. could you imagine if you were doing an even and you had to wait for other players to finish watching some bs cut scene just to get it underway? especially one that you’ve seen a million times

For me teleporting from one WP to another is taking away the best this gave to offer – being in this fantastic and beautiful world. Everyone wants only to be in one place where certaing something is going which is going to give shinies (where champion mob spawn). You pay a little fee and you just travel any distance in a second.
no it doesnt it adds to it, and they CULD NOT keep the name of gw if they did not have this system implemented. besides, why the hell would i want to spend an hr running from one spot to another, with a full inventory for at least half that time, just to reach 1 spot i need for world completion or an achievement. if anything, their is a couple areas they need to add wp’s o just cuz of the sheer annoyance of getting tot hose spots.
on top of that, if i wanted to enjoy the beauty of the game, y do i have to run over to what i want to see, instead of just wp their and actually being able to enjoy it more.
What i would like to see is for them to remove the wall/floor/ mountain bugs and “impassible invisible” walls so that i CAN jump up somewhere and enjoy the beauty of the game even mroe
as my mes, i always run w/ condition removal, because im a zerg w/ no defense. So in other words, your major problem is confusion and u cannot fix it, mine is immobilize and cripple, so i HAVE to run w/ condition removal and blink if i don’t want to be simply screwed over because of those conditions
in other words, run with a balance build, after all i have to cut back on some of my pure power to have something that keeps me long enough to kite a few ppl, or if ii am mapping, mass invis just to confuse them were i keep going and for them to never be able to kill me as long as i keep running (its a sword, dodge, invis, and blink trick. still working on part of the word part, working out timing and believably of it)
i would still like to have a second hard mode that you would have to unlock, after all it is one of the things i like about GW1
other than that i do agree with what you said, that they need at LEAST ONE COMPLETE BUILD THAT HAS BEEN TESTED AND BUGS ACTUALLY GET FIXED IN, AND NOT JUST SWEPT UNDER THE CARPET LIKE THEY ALWAYS SEAM TO BE!
funny think is is that i have tones of the recipes and tons of the clockwork devices, but i will not make them or sell the recipes on the AH after the event, ill prob just destroy all my extras.
Only reason y ive used any of the recipes is just to have the recipe, besides ALOT of people HAVE NOT seen a good mesmer, which just makes it less likely they will now

it needs to be fixed, these types of bugs are the things that really ruin the game for me. after all whats the point of playing whne you constantly have to content w/ bugs
after a little bit of having to content w/ them i just don’t feel like playing, and i become more stressed out after words than i was when i started playing, which is the opposite effect of what the game is supposed to do
So, plainly, by not fixing these issues, anet is simply biting themselves in their rear end

LOL but if they added a hard mode, theirs other parts of the game that the difficulty could be turned up at
remember, they are trying to balance out the players that like phalanges and dont, which you cannot make all of them happy all of them time.
but by giving an over all hardmode option, they can go back to the original gw1 idea that every time you enter a zone, only you and your pt are permitted for ONLY the hard mode. Meaning that if i formed a pt for hardmode and went exploring, they only ppl i would run into would be my party, no one else, but if i were to do the same thing on normal mode, it would be just like playing the game as it is now

as far as the others, id have to play w/ my guard more. I usually run around w/ mace and shield and staff in pt, and gs w/ mace and shield when i solo
i agree, i would like to see the money rewards scale to lvl as the gold does, i also think karma should have a bit of a scale too, although it would be best to take it one step at a time, so that things that happened w/ the wallet dont happen again (anet’s shortsightedness)

if you have were they HAVE to be in your party, then not so bad, but i still wouldnt exactly be thrilled on the idea b/c then you would have ppl looking for/ making only +mf pt’s which would screw over drop rates even more for people, and really mess up the economy in the auction house (granted +mf gear will go up, and as a crafter, that would be a definite bonus, but other ppl who buy gear from the AH wouldn’t think so)
I honestly feel like this was an attempt to make mesmers more useless. You already nurfed portal to not work half the time, and you have yet to fix it, and now your giving the ability to anyone? making mesmers ever more useless?
at least a while back you finally unerfed mes by making their GS aoe, but that was also a handy cap b/c now their is only 1 ranged weapon they can use to avoid the AoE affect, like when you do TA p f/U. Mesmers are almost completely useless here, especially a zerker mes
Destroyers have an immunity to burning and I hate it as an engineer.
I can imagine Guardian and Elementalists hate it too. World of Warcraft had resists when it first release, and they got rid of it because it’s established as bad and just annoying.

ummm… oaks and pinesouls are not around wood harvesting places that much, infact they are usually only around in the places that are harder to farm or you need to be a higher lvl to get to, so it really wouldn’t affect it that much, but would add in extra dynamics to it.
After all, didnt you see what the forest of Fangorn do to the orcs that chopped down their trees? it would add in a bit of reality, besides its not like they cant move spawn points to make less/more of them around. it may actually be good, they can add more wood in to harvest, just add it in to the areas w/ oaks or pinesouls.
besides, why cant you just run past them like all the enemies around the ore nodes? isn’t that harder since they aggro you before you even start to harvest?
the best thing about this living story is the ability to farm… but that means to grind…. which just isn’t that fun
Each of the living stories i have done, have had some issue that just seamed like you released something to make ppl want to buy gems and not to actually make game play fun or better…. and the last living story was horrible….. but for me that’s all the little bugs that they had all over the place… some of the ones are still their

I agree, this is actually why i do not do a lot of WvW
But i do think this idea needs to be expanded upon. maybe make a starter amount that gets multiplied by the number of ppl then has a penalty cost (exponential increase for larger parties), and then divided among the number of players. this can be implemented in groups, say larger than 5 or 6 ppl, that way if only 5 ppl run around, they can get all the benefits and no punishment. you can even make tiers, so that every time they get so many ppl (like 5, 20, 50, 100+), you receive overall less reward for participating. i.e. 5 or less would be no punishment, then -10% for 6-20, -25% for 21-50, 50% for 51-100 and 75% for more than 100 (not exact, just an example, why i say we need to expand this, otherwise developers will just implement their own one instead of something he gamers came up with, which MAY in turn have less revisions to and make the gamers happy)
You can make this as an overpowered buff (not sure on the name), or something of that sorts, that decreases personal bonus while so many allies are w/i range
I would also say give it a cool down, so that way if someone leaves the large group, it’ll take a few seconds to take effect, that way you cannot have some ppl leave before the event is over (or killing), so that they cant power lvl up other ppl and exploit the system

So anet allows you to use the +1 at the side of each post to show that you either like it, or agree w/ the person, but what if you didn’t?
If their were to be a -1 option as well (only 1 can be selected on the account logged in) it would actually give the developers a better feedback of what the gamers want
