Hmm, if Stealth we a boon, and Reveal were a condition, that would mean that thieves could have stacks of Stealth, but remain visible because of Reveal. That means that an invisible thief could steal a visible thief’s Stealth, remaining invisible indefinitely! :-D
Of course, with the new Flanking Strike trait, a simple attack from behind may be able to remove Revealed, giving a thief an instant Backstab opportunity! :-D
No, reveal debuff make u immune to stealth, so u wouldn’t get stealth boon when under reveal, but u would get “immune” on ur head.
Edit: And with reveal becoming a condition, it could be cleansed (or even converted back to stealth) and u woulnd’t have to wait to get stealth again, which would make thief builds who heavily rely on stealth more broken.
But also means it’s way harder to hit, since auto would fire toward the direction the enemy is going, while ground targeting would just shot where u clicked, and keep the cursor position on the enemy is both hard and mentaly stressful (look at granade probelmatics).
A question: Why did u not attain to the old plan, and made it blast finsiher when traited? Also since it’s no a blast finisher, why is it AA ground targeting?
They did not clarify this, everything is possible by looking at those big trait changes though.
It’s a boon, and will probably stack duration.
BUT!
It may only stack duration a limited number of time, meaning u won’t get more stack when u reached the maximum untill the first isn’t expired. (probably they’ll put a cap of 3 time u can prolong the duration)
As per title, lately when I play GW2 a crash report appear out of nowhere, but I can keep playing the game like nothing happen, in fact I left that report alone and managed to finish CoE P1, but since I hate to have that window on the game screen, I closed it and like always the game close with it.

I’m excited too, mortar that become a kit, without any cd on swap (Lyssa runes here I come), potentialy an AA that is a blast finisher and the old mortar added to F5 (new toolbelt elite slot);
we definitly get more choice for elite slot (probably more choice than any other professions), since we get Supply Drop that become a turret (wonder how that will work) and Elixir X F5 that is an AoE Moa, not to mention the new elite we get with specializzation.
Personaly I didn’t test it, but it’s not rare that updates mess up turret AI, actualy, there are numerous cases if u look back at turrets history where many features didn’t work as intended.
They are in line with all other summons now, except that turrets can be traited for reduced damage amongst other things.
Stop that, they cannot critical hit, recive boon, recive healing, and move*.
So no, they are not in line with other minions, they are just trash tier (always has been imo).
*While not moving open the door to strategic point controll, it gives an important weakness: it severly impare mobility of the engineer.
Edit: as Rozbuska said, turret needs a complete rework to be in the meta.

i had something else in mind, like if u get revealed multiple time in a fix period of time (let’s say 20 seconds) the revelaed debuff grows each time u get revealed;
that could if anything leave some conterplay to those cheesy builds that abuse the hell out of stealth mechanism, but of course some1 also think that revealed debuff should disappear and have stealth on demand ¯\(®-®)/¯.Point is, no one specs for max evasion AND max stealth. (if they do, they have no damage) Stealth is no invulnerability, what’s stopping you from spamming your AA where the thief disappeared? If your AA chain continues or an air/fire sigil procs, you know you hit them. Thieves are the weakest defensive class in the game, the only things we have to make up for this are stealth, evasion and shadowsteps. It’s not hard to move out of the way of Cloak and Dagger or interrupt the Heartseeker in Black Powder. You’re just blinded by the imagined “cheese” of stealth that you forget all about the counterplay that exists.
I have no problem with thief in PvP, actualy when I see 1 alone I know I won’t have any difficult to force him into stealth away from me, both call for reinforcement or go to another point;
this does not work on WvW, becuse they got all the time they want since there is no point cap (this is zerg job) and can kit all the way arround untill u make a mistake and turn into a bag 8D, not that I soloroam anymore, so it’s not my problem anyway.
lastly, I used to soloroam with condi thief once, and only got facerolled when I met a PU mesmer and had to fall back, but had so much fun stomping all the others who could barely touch me at all.

Ugh, u already are getting to have both Panic Stike, Shadow Rejuvinating and Sleight of hand, and now u want Sleight of hand baseline? What for, chose another GM trait and have 4 of them?!?

P.s. Just saw Panic strike isn’t even GM trait anymore, meaning u actualy can get Excecutioner along with it, and thus making it 5 GM traits.
P.p.s. And IP isn’t even that powerful to be justified as GM trait, ofc it’s mandatory for shatter but not powerful.
All thief thinks stealth is their only way to mitigate damage: and that’s the problem.
They forget that they have access to a lot of Vigor (and if they trait to acrobatics, even a dodge refill on dodge lol) which grants them the ability to dodge a lot more than any other profession, and evasion work son 98% of the attacks in the game, which mitigate all damage;
They have access to a lot of blind (those who uses D/P, probably the most popular weapon set in PvP) which again mitigate all the damage from 1 attack (easy to reapply given the smokefield duration);
They also have access to many mobility skill, which can warp them from a place to another, granting both escape or gap close, many of them beeing stunbreakers, making most of the CC useless on thief.
Said that, there should be a distinction between WvW (where stealth is overly abused by both condi and power builds) and PvP (where the up said mitigation system are more used than stealth, given the fact that point cap is 1 of the major aspect of this mode, and the size/shape of the maps themselfs), I would just higher again the revealed debuff only in WvW (up to 7-8 seconds) which would only hurt those who build their char arround stealth mechanism, thus discouraging low risk “high reward” gameplay in those maps.
U can instakill turret with almost every build (unless u are using braindead cleric/shaman), or unless u are a necro which cannot trigger marks on turret (not directly); I can’t realy see some1 having any hard time demolish turrets in 1-2 seconds now.
And about bring turret in lines with other pets, did we realy forget that they cannot be healed, cannot recive boon, cannot critical hit and cannot move? Sureley all of this is a “fair” trade off for the “big damage” they deal, and the “Huge” CC they provide on their death (stability some1?);
Phantasm and clones are a different story, they are supposed to die fast, and in my opinion they provide a better effect than turret on that, phantasm in particular do always launch a powerful attack before death, and have nowhere the cd of turrets (except phearps utility phantasm, but who take those?)
Said that, I won’t be missing turret builds, since I use celengineer with granade, tool and Slick Shoes (yes, they are asking to nerf those as well), so see ya the next nerf (IP, Gear shield, slick shoes, Overcharged shoot and Healing turret)

People have been complaining about Gear Shield and IP long before Turrets were complained about. Slick Shoes has been complained about since the Stability change. This is nothing new at all son. Healing Turret isn’t problematic though. It’s in the same spot as Healing Signet and Consume Conditions where all the alternative heals just ain’t up to par.
Well, I have a feeling that we’ll see another nerfhammer on engi then, looking how effective it was for turret, I’m realy concerned.

Yes, sorry, I tried on some minis and it works on all of them so far, some just don’t have the knockdown animation.

Yes, but by making others know about it, u can decrease the ppl who uses a specific profession for the daily, thus decreasing profession stack in unranked/ranked.
I don’t know if it is intended or not, but with slick shoes (engineer Toolbar skill) u can knock down ur own pet (I tried with panda).
It’s relay simple to get daily win: go custom arena, look at the team with less ppl in, join, some1 instajoin the winning team, leave the team, wait until the balance volunteer pop up, rejoin the losing team and play (or just cap a point and leav the team again, u’ll get the winning bonus and the daily anyway)
Perplexity got nerfed a lot, I don’t think they can be alone a big problem, especialy if u manage to bring 1 or 2 condi cleanse.

There is a reason why IP is not getting nerfed ever again:

Having the same issue with 2 of my char now, 1 went into Labyrinthine, the other just got out a match in PvP; can’t realy play like this, those dc are unbearable.
It was definitely CD doing this. As It happened tonight on DBBL everyone on the map could see the treb on the hill exactly where the screenshots within this post have shown.
All siege weapons keep track of who built it, which is why you can kick someone else off of a trebuchet you’ve built. Is it really that difficult for ArenaNet to send someone into the map to take a look and figure who is doing it? Is the game really that opaque to the people who built and run it?
Like I said before, Anet isn’t dumb and aware of issue. If they are cheating in any way, something will be done about it, but since nothing has been done and anet isn’t responding to you that means that they aren’t cheating.
Anet isn’t going to comeback to forums and let you know where they are and how to get to them. They aren’t going to help you win your WvW battles.
If Anet isn’t saying anything is to avoid spreading any voice about possible map exploit, especialy in WvW;
BTW, this must involve a hack, there is no way u can climb up there in normal means.
I personaly checked the area arround the wurm, I can say for sure there is no way up without using a third program that allows u to fly.
Is this real? He joined sPvP for “Accident”? Nearly impossible, as the NPC states clearly that it has ranked stats, and they increase or decrease by winning or losing; he could’ve joined a regular match simply by using the list of server in the PvP labell option.

I’m pretty sure turrets don’t crit, I always see white numbers when they hit.
I’m pretty sure right now u don’t get anything if the player close its client, even if u downed them, at least last time it happened (today) I didn’t get anything although I manage to down that guy (I’m pretty sure I hit enough for credit).
Unfortunatly, even thoguh I completed the meta, I found myself with 0 tickets (deletted the viable instead the voided ones due mistake, and Anet won’t refund me -.-’’)
