Have been playing that game for 23 years so far, quit it recently. Too much Pay To Win, exploiters anti-gank guilds seem to be biased so yeah, screw it I stick to GW2 for now.

Kinda started feeling haunted and lonely in the guilds I used to be part of since most of them play during the time I usually supposed to be sleeping so yeah decided I’d better find a more appropriate one
I am all-sided player. I like SPvP, somewhat WvW and also do PvE sometimes too as lesser evil (150 AR in fractals). Would prefer Desolation server guild with my time zone UTC+09:00.

Revenant main flies away

Except for it’s hard to find a good guild with devoted pvp players that won’t discuss totally unrelated thing in or before the match. Not to mention losing in parties like that, may give birth to mutual mistrust among members in the future. So nah, no thanks, I’d rather focus on increasing individual skill than constantly running into situations like that. Not saying it doesn’t worth a shot to try to find a group/guild/party like that but totally not while the season is open already.

Asked guildmates yesterday on what class would they want me to play in raid. The choice was between thief and revenant, they told me take thief because damage > boon duration.

I see people complaining about lose streaks on the forums, raging over necromancer’s class low skill cap and generally being negative about Anet’s attempts for going full e-sports and but don’t get me wrong, I do think necro’s been overtuned and stuck in last tier of sapphire myself with terrible 13 loses winstreak. Moreover, the only good friend that played this game quit 2 days ago and sold his account because he felt that offended by the matchmaking. But whatever.
What I wanted to say is each time I come into this forum subsection, after another depressing game with teammates that litterally make my hands weaken out of hopelessness of the situations they cause, I actually start feeling better reading those posts of people kittened off by class balancing or matchmaking so yeah, please keep on

I also think this in unaccaptable behavior. As long as spoken player and his group help meta event and participates – why the kitten somebody should pick on them for not joining a squad? Last time I carried some new guys through HoT meta events and somebody started picking on us and spamming squad invitations, it ended up pretty bad with me spitting salty acid in map chat once some comm kittentag started kittening about that.
Same comes with people cursing at “randoms” asking for help with HPs during some meta events.

And blob fights are usually full of condi cleanse.

Say whatever you want. I’ve got a veteran in my first guild, has been playing (quite frequently btw) since the start – not a single precursor drop, everything he got cost him hours of grind. And here is my friend I play with, getting spark and zap within 10 mins from the same event and then opening like 20 encryptions each day and getting 2 aetherized hammers within a week. Yeah, Anet? Why not I guess.

Dunno, I never used hammer just for CoS (although I suspect something is wrong with it’s dmg calculating formula :/) . It’s AA is slow indeed but it hits up to 5 targets with not bad numbers while 4 isn’t just a projectiles shield but also a dark combo field (hello lifesteal sustain ^^). 3 is also kinda good dodge ability PLUS it’s not bad at disarming DH’s traps on a node or inside opposite server’s blob.
Zerk stats, blob. Hammer with 4 combo field, Shiro’s heal and quickness…which blob’s comm do you want us to take down in seconds? kek

WvW wise it’s not the best roamer/blob class now too. I see less revenants running around even though the nerf to hammer 2 was only increase of it’s cd by 2 seconds xD There are so much more viable builds out there for roaming (condi mesmer dipkitten with NanNan ammount of confusion e.g). For PvE? Well, had some chuckle with my the guild I used to run raids and they told me that they’d only take Rev for it’s facet of nature since there are classes that provide more dps and 100% fury is achievable by other means without revenant easy.

As for sPvP. Condi cleanse is simply miserable, can’t stack ressistance like before. Without invocation (seirously, who the hell would take it nowdays in competitive over devastation or corruption) and Shiro there is only like 1 stun breaker. And meeting a competent necro as mallyx is usually totally nuts xD Condi bombs and boon corruption and low cd condition transfers melt you like butter.

I’d rather prefer the overhaul, the class felt raw from the start. With amazing weapon choice and with all legends being useful. insert sarcasm here

All I wanted to say is I played a necro and was having a small breakfast at the same time with a cup of tea, something I couldn’t allow myself on revenant since reward was higher than risk for me.

For a marauder or even berserker I think some bunkers of last season would struggle hard in terms of survivability.

The flow of players in the first 3 divisions is too big now, thus there can be people that simply grinded it through or got “lucky”. If I’d be wise I’d not try hard at all the first days xD The more days past since the first day of this league, the more competent players will be in higher divisions (yeah, all those assumably kittened teammates of yours). That’s also where the 50/50 and meta would start working, the mechanism doesn’t have the layers yet.

Faced a team of players twice yesterday, according to game they were 4 men premade however the fith guy that was with them was in the party too every time I tried to right click > party invite him. Some new way to exploit?

There is only one condi class now (if they are in a match and usually there are at least 3 of them each match I played so far) – NE-CRO-MAN-CER. Greedy, selfish dipkitten condi class. Just like Elementalist was last season was with their “no-condi politics”. “Oh you pushed yourself so hard laying those condis on me, let me givem back to ya”. “Booon?? No my PRECIOUUUSSS, only me can haz it – you have conditions instead”. Think even condi mesmer would handle it better now than revenants.
I switched to power revenant myself, with sigils generosity and purity in main weapon, helps somewhat. Even getting “top condiitons removed” stat in the end of a matchup sometimes -.-

P.S Ofc you could throw some condi pressure at necros and hide behind and obstacle before they transfer conditions back at you, slowly burning them but that’s 1 trick pony.

Haven’t done much sPvP until today this season. Played this morning on my 20 lvl necromancer I left for season achievements progression, won 15 games in a row, then lost two in a row. After that got on my thief to finish some profession achievements too and had terrible lose streak idk. Played thief since I started playing this game while that lvl 20 necromancer of mine…I never actually played it, lvl it with books xD Having it easier even than on my revenant.

Okay, noone answered on my thread so I’ll ask here. Is it still working that when you try to invite somebody, while already being in a spvp match, to a party there won’t be an option for that if they are already in one?
Because today I’ve ran into 3 different premades of 4 (1 the same premade 2 times in a row, with the same solo pug in their team. Inocent coincidence?). Each time I checked all of them were in a party, including 1 supposed PUG with them and they ran as a team.

Salty sarcasm aside. Chill and Confusion, these two are just too kittening overpowered IMHO. Reapers stacking it and Mesmers (even if they play like bots) stacking 8 stack of confusion in not time is a bloody joke.

Right click target to lock onto it. Should be fine casting it as long as its in front or to the side of you.

You can’t use those abilities even if you target lock (right click) them with action camera. For example if you lock the target with thief and try to use Shadow Shot or Head Shot it will simply eat your initiative points without any effect. While with Free Camera you can have your target behind you or outside of your screen and use those abilities without any problem.

I decided to try this camera mode recently, kinda liked it (decided I’d better try it in pve first) since it easier to AA with this however once new PvP season started and I went on my thief and rev I found out that most target type abilities like Shadow Shot of thief or Phase Traversal (not to mention you can’t jump to targets that out of your range with this ability if they are out of range too) of revenant won’t work unless you look at the target directly.
This is such handicap, I can’t even describe it the moment I realized why wasn’t my Shadow Shot working sometimes on my thief xD What would we need this camera for Anet? Could we please have an option that would allow us to use our target abilities even if don’t have direct sight contact with the target like with Free Camera mode?

The reason why I liked PvP more in online games is probably because people playing PvP very often pay more attention to their builds than in PvE and come with some really fun and new ideas. This is also the reason I like playing unranked games once I am dead tired of that repetitive boring kitten I see in ranked games. For me it’s really fun to see some non-standard build pulling absolutely crazy stuff on you and I don’t really care if a guy keeps farming me by CD as long as it’s something new. Figuring how does it work and why that’s it.

Boon strip/corruption, high poison uptime, heavy cc, and well timed condition bombs. Well played Reaper should always win, unless going against LB druid who can actually kite.

Interrupt traits that cause confusion from warriors and thieves are also incredibly strong. Pulmonary Impact trait on thief is SOOO strong if a druid decides to camp staff and auto you, as the staff auto is the easiest skill to interrupt in the game and is often spammed.

Looks tough, might as well never 1vs1 them. Would a meta glass canon d/p thief be good enough? Slotting trickery and putting away condi cleanse on dodge though :/
