the elite ability’s third attack should have a different animation… they simply used the same as the stomp animation… and weaponless just like a regular stomp

I dont think anyone will take DD and Acro in the same spec, since Trickery is mandatory, this build is way to defensive, we cant even fill the +1 “role” we have atm.
Without burst we are useless…

the only down side i see from getting physicals is the nerf to improv since with a new ability type the chance of resetting the CD’s of one particular type goes down from 20% to 16%.
Uh.. Am I missing something? Was there a reveal / article or is this all speculation based on data-mined stuff? Cuz uh.. Eles got a sword datamined and I believe Wars found different/scrapped abilities.

Heart Seeker not traveling longer distance wile you have the quickness is on the patch notes, it is intended.
they changed it so leaps don’t go further with swiftness or travel less distance when crippled. however, since quickness and slow alter the duration of the skill, with the leap speed being the same, these do alter the distance.
for example, if we would normally leap 300 in the space of 1.5 seconds, and we’re given quickness, we now leap at the same speed for 1 second, only achieving a distance of 200.
when slowed, the result will be the opposite, with leaps taking longer but carrying the user further.

also Basilisk Venom now does not stack, if you want the full duration you need to wait 1 sec before you take the second hit, cuz it now overwrites the duration and that is also in the patch notes.
I use the same spec but with improv instead of executioner. Works fine for me.

Nah, no hate, tbh i dont really care about wich weapon we’ll get but on that video, those were NPC’s it means nothing…
that or it is an engi, they use medium armor too and have rifles.

Damage is not that high, but I’ve been having fun with it. Obviously some personal tweaks can be made.
p/p might seem an odd choice compared to p/d, but the use of carrion gear allows me to put out semi-ok direct damage with unload, which also helps proc the on-crit sigils with lower precision. Plus I have an easy ranged interrupt to proc more torment and stop heals or whatnot. BP is useful for the things it’s useful for.
Offhand dagger I don’t think is as necessary because the dagger toss doesn’t add anything, and CnD isn’t really necessary due to all the stealth the build already has. The only thing it really adds is additional torment from the #3, but yeah.
looks cool on paper but P/p is not a condi weapon set although it has 2 condi abilities, just like D/D. I’ll have to give it a try
Also, on a side note, Trappers Respite should be ticked a bit, the trap should be dropped on the thief’s feet BEFORE the role back instead of the at the end of the animation, it would give us control over were to land the trap, just like caltrops work instead of dropping it somewhere we don’t actually need it.
Also, if the trap should REPLACE itself as we use the healing skill again and the trap was not triggered, instead of maintaining the first trap dropped and not dropping any more traps if the first one isn’t triggered. (a thread about this should be created to don’t you think?)

I sometimes get racked by condies or retaliation, also you need to be careful with reflection, if you manage that, it’s a win!

Aion had 1 v 1 arena/ “gamemode” and it was super mega giga ultra hyper supra maxi tera uber fun and rewarding.
This was in a hard trinity game , and where the game was actually balanced on team fights (ahem, no! gw2 it’s not, stop lying to yourself ).A game where you had HARD COUNTERS classes . Do you realize now ? you had to 1 v 1 a hard counter, 80% failure rate against it , and man that was rewarding when you
beat the crap out of that one .
You had like 2 mins to prepare for the fight and it was 2 out 3 rounds . The maps had side objectives(like channeling orbs that gave points/ and lots of others ) that were there to help in this case.
If you were defeated in a fight that won’t end the round and this was great as you could come back, if the enemy used his big spell / long cooldown skills.
You had a ticket a day to participate in this kind of mini tournament. but you could stack them ( gather 5 of them in the week and do 5 mini tournaments in a row in the weekend)This could soooooooo be in Gw2 . but no…. this is friendly community promoting and bla and bla and blabla circle-jer*ing .
If they wanted to be competitive/rewarding we would have :
– Ladders(correspondent to leagues)
- leagues( corespondedt to mmr)
- 1v1
- maybe(2v2 or 3v3 on Conquest so we can party with a friend against other 2 players ),
- dishonered
- profession mmr ,
- targeting
- no lvl1 player in Ranked arenanone of the mentions actually are right now in the game, they just said nice words about them.

will NEVER happen cuz that would mean A-net would have to balance professions for 1v1 and they have admittedly said that they do not balance based on 1v1 situations but on team play.
so yeah, join a 1v1 private server like the rest of us and enjoy.

thief? lol unless a fire/air sigil procs thieves hit like mosquito in downstate, as for necros, they can easily down a player at 100% health and kill them wile in downstate, it is by far the strongest downstate in game, all others are more or less at the same lvl.
Arena net like to ensure every Set up gets its moment in the light to keep the meta changing so nobody gets bored of playing the exact same thing.
err…. D/p and S/d + SB is all we have since beta. So much for not getting bored of the same spec and weapon set…

Karl is the ONLY dev that i know that plays thief, willingly or not, he is the only one that has publicly assumed to play the profession.
If they threw thieves a bone, the QQ from other classes would be endless. They can’t do it. We are the scape goat of the game.

after all this time, warriors, wearing heavy armor and carrying eavy weapons are still the fastest profession to get from point A to B, no other profession can outrun them or even catch them if they decide to flee… and don’t bother trying to CC them cuz it does not work they just keep going… it’s insane…
is this ever going to be addressed? even if they don’t get nerfed, will other professions be able to at least manage to stay in range?

Even if the thief specialisation is awesome for pvp i will not buy it at it’s current price, i will buy it wen it’s on discount, even then i will not buy it for more than 20€.
Imo a trate line and a weapon set is not woth 50€.
