thief: killing 1500 enemies without using stealth… hum… then the warrior should have to kill 1500 players without spending adrenaline, necros without fearing, engies without torrents, rangers without bows mesmers without clones and so on…
Disabling shot does exactly what it is suppose to, disable the thief, you cant dodge, you cant use any other skill, you never know were the thief will backpedal , most of the times it rubber bands…
TL;DR Working as intended.
Not to mention. That it takes more time to kill a torrent then a thief or a mesmer…
You can find it in your Finishers tab (locked) were can we unlock it? its not (yet) on BLTP… nor can I find any info on it on the web.
Well looking back at anet’s behavior in this circumstances, we should not expect anything besides tool tip fixes.

The second part of the skill (when you are doing the “moonwalker”) you can’t control your character, can’t dodge, can’t do anything. It totally disables us.
Fix for this? Put it back as it was before you messed it up! There, fixed!
How to deal with them?
I have tried and tried time and time again and… Bunker eles just will not die… Even with poisons they manage to heal though or cleanse it before healing…
Perms fear necros… I can’t barely touch them… It’s insane the amount of chain fears they can do… We would need 4 stun takers to deal with them or stability that we do not have…
Have any of you find a way to deal with them or you simply avoid 1v1 these guys like i do?!

1, Has no cooldowns which lowers the skill required – its just spam
2, Breaks the only game mode anet have given the players
3, With all this, is still the best profession at combat

Not really. I am beyond crying to be honest. That was 6 months ago. I don’t play anymore because of the same old game mode. It is really hilarious to be honest. They give you one game mode and then give 1 class 3x the mobility of any other class. So thief just breaks the game. It is mechanically broken. Also happens to be the best class in combat, in pretty much every situation – 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, 5v5. It is still the best.
But anet don’t care. That is really that simple!
If the thief profession is half as good as you say, why not play it yourself?!

I’dd preffere the “normal duel” wherever you are, just like any other mmo out there…
Rigging the rotation is an interesting idea to avoid long queues with filters. I’m not actually sure if that would results in shorter queues than the matchmaking algorithm finding the best set of 10 people all with overlapping map filters. It would certainly still get slower the more maps you veto.
In either case, anything that increases queue times or effectively creates separate queues is probably not something we want to implement if it can be avoided.
I understand, the example I did is valid when there are few ppl queuing, when there are more, there will be various different map rotations with different maps at the same given time, meaning the queues would be just as long as they currently are since all maps are rotating at the same time.

Skyhammer is only an example of a map that some people have vocalized that they like less than others. There will always be maps that people like more and less than others. What I’m trying to get from you guys is to think of how a map voting system could work with regards to all player preferences. How could we ensure that players can always get chances to play their favorite maps?
easy, instead of voting, add a UI were players can check/un-check the maps they would / wouldn’t not like to play on.
If skyhammer pops they it will pop ONLY for players who have the box checked, obviously the more maps you have “enabled” the less waiting time for a queue to pop.
So if I check 3 maps only I know that it will take longer for a map to pop for me then if I check 5 but hey, it’s my choice.
A fixed map rotation could be implemented to improve this “map choice system”
You could use the one already running on hotjoins and it would work like this.
So ppl chose the maps they want to play on and queue. If the next map on the rotation is checked by this player would be added to this map, if this this player does not have this map enabled he will have to wait for the next map on the rotation to open up and so on.
this way SkyHammer will still pop as much as any other map to players who chose to have it enable for queuing.
I personally do not like skyhammer to much but I would still queue for all maps to avoid longer queues, for players that don’t really care they can go into hotjoins wile waiting for a map they enjoy to pop.

check this out, 2 weekends over 40 soloq played 5 wins went from rating 522 to under 80% due to non stop 4v5 + horrendous teams!

Unless you are pressing one physical key per each individual action, it is not permitted. Anything that presses multiple buttons per single user button-press or key-press is not allowed.
many ppl are doing this and apparently there is nothing you can do about it.
Since last Friday I played over 30 soloq matches and won a total of 4.
My rating was 522 now I’m at 92% beat that!
I dont mind loosing / winning streaks, it’s the reason why they happen that bothers me, the MM system is matching teams with a huge rating gap between them instead of spreading the players on both teams, it is placing all the high rated players in on team and the low rated on the other and that’s just wrong. It is sentencing the game even before it begins.
If there is no other high rank team to match them against then split them into the lower ranked teams queued at the time instead of feeding them noobs for easy 500-60 matches….
I don’t see a problem with it, when I see the animation I sop attacking.
I can see the dmg on it be slightly reduced but tbh i see no problem with reatal as it is now.

MM system need alot of improvement…
i.e. the last 4 days I did over 20 soloq and won 4, I was rated 522 and now I’m at 94% due to constantly being put in teams with low rated players vs teams were every one stomps with dragon finishers. the system should split the players evenly, high and low ranked players in both teams not ALL the high ranked in one team and the cannon fodder in the other…
Habit I guess, I take long brakes from time to time.
With every patch all of things get improved but alot of stuff gets worse or simply more notoriously worse. (I hope that makes sense)

Feel free to play it if you what though, I will never enter a 8v8 server EVER. These servers are for ppl that don’t know how to play and rely on numbers to win, not on skill.

I’d support the first suggestion. I think the main thing holding that back is that there would have to be a lock on character switching—no switching after queue pops or after entering the match.
The second suggestion already exists in solo arena. Hopefully something similar can be done for when two pug groups face each other in team arena.
I don’t see a problem with ppl changing professions before the game starts but the system should not allow them to change to a profession that already has 2 elements in the same team.
As for the second, I don’t think it already exists, I have seen and been into several matches were the winder is decided even before the match starts, since all high rated players are all in the same team and low ranked players in the other, this should never happen.
If it is the case that there is no other team of the same rating available to face them they should be split between the 2 teams to have an even fight, I don’t believe this is happening wight now.

Ill start.
1 – MM system should take in consideration the professions being grouped in the same team to prevent teams from having 3+ players with the same profession.
The MM system is grouping players of the same ratio into the same team, and if there is no other ream with similar ratio it will match them with a lower/higher rated team, this will result in an easy win for the top rated team and a frustrating steamrollering defeat for the lower rated team.
2 – In the situation above, were there are 2 teams with very different ratings, the teams should be MIXED, mixing higher rated players with lower rated to even out the teams.
I am rank 322 at the moment and I played yesterday (I was around rank 400) 3 games at EU prime time (9 p.m.). In 2 of this games the matchmaking system gave me the possibility to play with or against Sizer. Sizer is rank 2.
Maybe the player pool is very small. Maybe the system has a problem.
haha had this too yesterday and i was on 97%
one match i even had Collero and Forsaker in Enemy team and noone in my team was ranked and one guy was even 40%
this matchmaking is not fun it even is ANTIfun and make me hating this game more and more

2 days agoI was at 725 and was matched against Collero and Forsaker multuple times, as a result I’m now at 97% and did not play yesterday…
tbh this MM system is pushing me away from sPvP instead of pulling me into it, if you know what i mean…

With the new reward tracks there is allot of ppl going into arenas since the reward track progression is limited in hot-joins forcing them into solo q.
Problem is they go into solo queue playing like they do in hot-joins and even though experienced players tell them what to do they ignore or simply don’t even read the chat…
Wile were at it, please improve the match making system, let it also take in consideration the professions and specs being pared, I have had games were one side was 5 bunkers (2 warriors 2 guardians and 1 engy) facing teams of squishes (2 thieves 2 eles 1 mesmer)

HamBow is and has been for a long time now, and by the looks of it, they will continue to be for many month…
Animation based game play in which 5 out of 8 of the playable professions have stealth. Go figure.

Since when thieves became tanky? A bad thief will die in 2 hits, a bad necro/engi/war/guard will die only after 2 hours and still get points from this dumb conquest mode.
Same goes for an Ele, even if they are tanky D/D they cannot sleep while holding a point like those classes can, too much passive defenses.
Thieves have found a new trick… it’s called perma-evade and perma-bleed.
Just so you know a perma bleed thief (as you call it) cant perma evade and has very limited access to vigor and use P/D. Perma evade thieves only have bleeds on Shorbow and uses S/D

All very good ideas!! But imagine YOU are on a team arena or tournament and get dc for some reason (ISP, power cut, rooter, whatever) and when you try to come back to help your friends in the match… UPS!!! “Be back in 30min guys, gl!!”
Don’t be short minded, think about the consequences of your suggestions in all possible scenarios, not just the one that suits you at given time.
Some dev told us to report them as bots.
They will then look into it and see what he was doing at the time of the reports.

It is called “I WIN BUTTON” It is the only ability in game that cant be undone, Basilisk venom use to be like that but only lasted 1 second then it got nerfed to a mere interrupt and they call it ELITE skill…
Moa lasts 10, impossible to remove and will get you dead almost every time.

The only reason I play is because I like the game and have fun with it, since it is a GAME and you play it, you must be having fun to otherwise you wouldn’t.
I stopped playing for 3-4 month because for me it was not fun anymore, and came back after April 15th and have been playing consistently since then.
If you need a brake, take it.
have you ever been feared by a necro, you Stun baker it to be feared again and die before the fear ends? I have and it is frustrating because there is no way to counter it, it is a “I WIN” Button.
Thieves spamming 2 or 3 are effective versus squishy speced professions, versus bunker specs it is a lost fight.
1- thief will eventually kill the bunker after a VERY long fight
2- Bunker kills thief with attrition
3- thief gives up and goes away
what my team does is we send 3 to the buff 10 sec before it pops.
if there is no one there, one cap the others move back to there positions, if we lose it we spread out and repap the nodes right after they get them minimizing the points they get from the buff.

P/D is quite good in Hotjoins and low % solo q, when you get to top 1k it is a wast of a team spot.

We certainly could be better about mentioning we’ve read a thread. Some people have suggested a red ‘seen by dev’ mark on threads which would awesome. If I were to post something every time I skim through a thread, it would mostly likely just be copy-paste “I’m reading this thread” or “I’m following this thread” which may cause more anger (due to lack of thoughtful response) than appreciation. Community team members are really helpful when relaying information back and forth between devs and players. ( Like Allie :’( )
I’m not saying you guys should post on every thread you read obviously xD
But it wouldn’t hurt to post on on or two threads, it means the world to us when a red post pops and it takes almost no effort from your side

Conquest is the reason for having so many bunkers. They are necessary.
If anet gives us new game mods that do t involve staying inside a circle for as long as possible, then we might have a more diverse meta.
Unfortunately that will not happen as soon as we’d like, took them 6month to come up with a map with no capture points, no primary nor secondary objectives. It has nothing at all, they say it is a “death match / dueling” map but its SO GOOD that ppl keep dueling in Forest of Niflhel…
