Bladetrail huge damage BUG - all info how to replicate it
in Warrior
Posted by: Waar Kijk Je Naar.8713
I couldn’t reliably reproduce it but still got it once
1. Does this mean that, say for achievement to finish 5 events, I can finish 2 events with one character, then 3 with another? Same with enemy types killed, etc.
2. Does magic find improve reward from achievement?
3. What time does the achievements actually reset? I happen to play from a different time zone, so keeping time does get a bit messy for me.
1. Yes, you can do it on multiple characters just fine.
2. No, magic find only works on monster drops, nothing else.
3. Midnight (00:00) UTC/GMT. Use a time converter (or calculate yourself), how late this is for your specific timezone.
If you get 2-4 rares every 10-12 hours you probably hit the farming cap.
Got 3 in 30 minutes yesterday, without any magic find.
For those that don’t know what “training” is. I will define. Training is when you cause aggro to be established upon yourself and you lead a line of these mobs into someone else. Thus leaving them to with these mobs on them, which can cause their character to get killed.
REALLY? REALLY? Seriously, I thank people when they pull monsters for me. Farming is a lot faster if you don’t have to pull them yourself.
You should too, that’s etiquette.
When playing with a PuG always let everyone ping his/her weapons, armor and jewels. Kick directly if not specced for damage or lacking lvl 80 exotics. Root out the problem at the source. CoF path 2 shouldn’t take 50 minutes.

Hi guys, another formar skald from daoc
Loving the spec as I feel more useful to my groups.
Will be dinging level 80 over the weekend and still unsure what I should be doing regaurding armor? I have about 120k of karma, but should I be getting rampager crafted rather than spending the karma on t3 armor ?
T3 armor is bought with gold, and Orr Karma armor has bad stats for most specs.
No, it works like this because of balance issues
-Kill 60 monsters
-Kill 15 different types of monsters
-Gather 20 times
-Participate in 5 events
Hey look, a daily quest.
Looks ugly to me.
Ghastly Greatsword looks much better. Or, for those who like fiery-looking swords, the one from CoF.
Implying you don’t make any money from doing dungeons?
~50s, minus repairs?
If you’re after money/armor, dungeons aren’t the place to go. Unless you’re looking for skins.
My question would be then: can I experience the story in this game until the very end by playing alone (hiring henchmen, heroes)?
Yes, the first 2 campaigns (Prophecies, Factions) provide Henchmen for every mission if you don’t play with other people.
Nightfall(and EotN) take this a bit further, providing access to Henchmen for every mission, but also allowing you to unlock Heroes at certain points in the storyline and sidequests. Heroes are essentially customizeable Henchmen (can choose their weapons, skills, armor upgrades).
Personally I’d say it’s totally worth it, as long as you are willing to invest time in it. I have played GW1 for 3000 hours so maybe my opinion is a bit biased.
While condition builds are the way to go on Thiefs, they’re rather bad in group play, mostly because conditions (mainly Bleed) stack only 25 times. 1 Thief alone can go over that if he does his job well, so if you have multiple people with bleeds, the whole group is at a disadvantage.
Then again I think stuff like this doesn’t happen all that often.
Why wouldn’t they want necromancers! Necros have high HP pools, can have an entourage of minions, and… lifesteal! Hello! As for rangers they have pets, many of which I’m sure are optimal for dungeons.
Tbh Necro’s and Rangers deal less than average damage.
Personally I care little for such differences, but apparently some people do.
Warrior: No. Elites aren’t very good, but Utility skills are even worse.
Mesmer: Yes. Time Warp is decent in large groups but the cooldown is too long for it to be any good. Rather have a skill that allows for 1 extra illusion.
Guardian: Yes, no good elites.
Thief: Yes, no good elites.
Elementalist: Fiery Greatsword is nice, too bad it has such a look cooldown. Kinda like Mesmer, it’s not really worth the cooldown.
Still isn’t worth it. 10€ (800 gems) gets you between 3 and 4 gold.
Hoard gems till new items get added to the gemstore and the price will go up.
But for the the most part buying armor with gold is a terrible idea. If you’re not interested in saving karma for a legendary then using karma to buy gear in Orr is much better, and it covers a wider range of stats. Explorable mode dungeons is probably the best way to obtain armor. Buying armor with gold (crafted armor) is pointless as it’s overpriced, and doesn’t even cover all the different stat combinations possible. Half my P/V/T light gear came from Orr karma gear, the other half from AC explorable.
Farming gold at a rate of 3-4 per hour (Lyssa meta event) means you can buy 1-2 exotic pieces an hour. I’d like you get 300-500 dungeon tokens per hour.
Exactly. Doing explorable dungeons is probably the worst way to obtain armor. It’s only good for skins.
Lots of tooltips are still incorrect aswell (or have errors in them).
Best fix: maximum price of any item at 100g.
Force people to sell at reasonable prices.
Achieving such damage leaves one with very low survivability. Don’t forget that HB roots the user, so they’re exposing themselves even more.
Typical case of “high risk, high reward”, imo.
Also got 2 skins on the same day. Sadly both were shoulderpads.
Of course you don’t.
So remember kids, when an overpowered profession attacks you in stealth and kills you in 4 seconds, L2P. Every other profession is just as powerful!
Fortunately there isn’t such a profession. Dealing damage breaks stealth. Dying in 4 seconds means you don’t dodge.
So it indeed is a L2P issue.
I saw a warrior in Queensdale kill a Troll far quicker than me, so i say Nerf the Warrior into oblivion too …
Warriors can focus more on burst damage, so your argument is invalid.
The issue is L2P a profession that isn’t thief – for you. You seem new to GW2. I think you need to stop playing thief and play professions like Necro and Engineer to get a better understanding of the game. You may develop skill that doesn’t involve spamming 2 and being overpowered.
Again, I don’t play Thief. Never have, probably never will. I dislike stealth mechanics. I play GW2 from the first minute of BWE1, so I’m not really new. I’ve got a lvl 80 Warrior, Mesmer, Elementalist and Engineer, so I think I have enough understanding of the game.
I don’t have any problems countering glass-cannon Thieves, so it’s still a L2P issue. Maybe press V every once in a while when fighting Thieves.
Of course you don’t.

There’s more people in Cursed Shore though, so it’s much easier to find a group there. If still having trouble, hit me up ingame/send me a pm and maybe I can help out a bit. That is, if you’re on Gandara (or when guesting is implemented).
Roflstomper Warrior: Power/Critical /Critical Damage + Bolas, Bull’s Charge, Endure Pain + Greatsword = 100 crit, 2,5x crit damage, might on crit, etc,. Low survivability but can pretty much kill every single enemy in <5 seconds.
Tanky Warrior: You’d need to go with Mace/Shield, Toughness/Vitality/Power, Defensive traits. Don’t know if this is any good though. Guardians are better “tanks”.
When I visit my hall of monument, it’s rundown. Weren’t we suppose to see GW1 stuff here?
Its run down yes, do you actually have stuff in it? like have u done gw 1 requirements? and if so did you talk to the historian in the back room?
It’s really empty. I have 50/50, talked to everyone both in GW1 and GW2, and it’s still empty. I don’t think it’s a bug though. However I do hope it eventually gets filled in some update.
If this link doesn’t work, fill in my name without the account number.

Cursed Shore is worse. Grab a greatsword and use skills like Whirlwind Attack, Rush, Bull’s Charge and Signet of Rage if you want to skip foes so badly.
But, as always, the best solution is to group up with others.
I just love how all the Thieves come to the forums to defend their ability to kill someone in under 6 seconds and in such a fashion that the other person can’t do a darn thing.
Thieves are most definitely 100% OP in PvP compared to other professions. You’re only saying otherwise because, like others, you play thief and don’t want them to be nerfed.
I don’t play Thief. Thieves are not OP. The majority of “Thief is OP”-comments can be answered by “L2P”. People just need to dodge. Can’t see the enemy? Don’t just stand there until you get backstabbed.
Warriors can also kill people in under 6 seconds, yet you see nobody whining about them. Because they, like Thieves, can be easily countered by anyone who knows what he’s doing.
People usually act like “I can’t do a thing before he kills me” which is just complete nonsense. If a Thief can kill you in 6 seconds, you can also kill him in 6 seconds, because he would need a glasscannon build. And FYI, stealth doesn’t make them invulnerable.
If they get nerfed, I hope it will be a PvP-only nerf. Thieves seem average in PvE and I cannot imagine them getting nerfed for PvE reasons. That said, I think most of the whining about Thieves being (too) strong in PvP is mostly exaggerated and I hope Anet knows better than to nerf them.
Decent PvE Thief build: Dagger/Dagger, stack condition damage and bleed duration, use Death Blossom.
Please use http://translate.google.com/ its really hard to understand what are you trying to say, and then ppl dont know what to respond.
No it’s not, it’s easy as long as you use your brain and not goof around insulting.
lol )) i use google translate..result you see )))))))
Google Translate doesn’t put all these ))))))))))))))))))Parentheses in your post.
JUST “NON STOP” RESSURECTION BROKEN ALL FUN in WvWvW map !!!! and many things are useless with infinite revival
Yeah, because being forced to wait, say, 10 minutes, or an hour, or a week before you can play, IS SO MUCH FUN!
Still works in Orr, so no.
Yeah sometimes you get a green. Usually it’s blues though.
Balance ? What are u playing , warrior ? Ask some ranger or elementalist or necro , about balance.
Fact is , gw2 just need a bit to move from terribad pvp to really good one. But i still dont see that bit.
Ask some Warrior how he can deal decent damage from atop a wall when trying to defend a tower/keep. Exactly, a ranger, elementalist or necro would do a better job.
Just because those professions are less focussed on burst and more on range, conditions and versatility doesn’t make them worse by default. I don’t see a warrior chilling, poisoning and crippling whole armies of players.
GW2 is kinda like wow , carebear pvp game.
Wut? GW2 has competitive skill-based PvP while WoW has unbalanced stats/grind-based PvP. How can you say they are alike?
From a PvE perspective, yes. Not because Mesmers might be nerfed in the future, but because they’re very weak in PvE. If you want to be viable in PvE, don’t play Mesmer.
They’re very nice in WvW/PvP though (players are easily fooled by illusions), but you might wanna have a 2nd character with a different profession incase they get nerfed.
PS.
“Happen almost any popular MMO game”
This is where GW2 was to be different, no grinding, no need for xxxxx amounts of money, and no profit for bots. Guess what, its not, its sae as aion, lineage, wow…..
Yeah, because you still need xxxxx amounts of money. Weapon skins costing 100g upwards worth of materials, cultural armorsets costing 120g, some runes costing 5g each, etc etc. Money is more valuable than Karma and Gems and that’s a problem.
100b Warriors aren’t exactly difficult to beat 1v1 if you can avoid the combo.
Good 100b Warriors don’t let you avoid the combo.
Link to source of “time nerf”?
Back to GW1’s “every 3 hours” system seems a good idea.
So far tonight this update (Nov 5 2012) has brought a whole slew of new bugs
5. Candy Corn nodes randomly appear for an instant and then vanish. While they are visible, it’s possible to get stuck on them.
This has been happening ever since they were “removed”, and wasn’t introduced by yesterdays patch.
Some of my characters don’t have a guild anymore while others still do. It’s not just a problem with representing or whatever, the entire guild is just gone on certain characters.
On Friday November 16th at noon PST (20:00 GMT) the weekend will kick off with an Event in Lion’s Arch that you don’t want to miss. This will trigger events in other parts of Tyria as well.
Let’s hope that this time it’s really something I don’t want to miss, instead of a boring 30-second cutscene. Preferably something useful, like a 25-slot bag or a free bank tab.
First of all, I don’t know why people would run 5 signet builds in any circumstance when FGJ gives more damage. And it buffs your party too.
Probably because they’ve been running with 5 signets since level 30, when the +40 precision major trait is overpowered.
I do more damage than any beserker gear warrior, due simply to one fact, I never go down with all my vitality/toughness. I dont need to rely on crit, axe does constant damage with fast auto attacks, couple it with 33% to apply vuln and sigil of fraility.
I don’t go down either with full Berserkers armor with Ruby Orbs, Ruby Jewelry with Exquisite Ruby Jewels and a Berserkers Greatsword with a Sigil of Fire. It’s this neat little thing called dodging.
I can keep up Fury permanently, giving me a 95% Critical chance. This goes over 100% when at Tier 2 or 3 of Adrenaline. Crits do 2,5x the damage of normal attacks. Crits have a 33% chance to apply Bleed and a 33% chance to apply Vuln. Crits apply might. Furthermore Crits have a 30% chance to apply an AoE fire blast every 5 seconds.
Please tell me again how you do more damage with a non-crit axe and vitality/toughness…. Honestly I would do more damage than you even if I equipped a bow and only used the 1st skill.
That said, using 5 signets is dumb. “For Great Justice” is better than Signet of Might and Signet of Fury is useless if you already have 100% crit chance, so might wanna swap that out for “On my Mark” against bosses and Stomp vs normal foes. Or Endure Pain if you’re a coward.
The old classic: What’s the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
Not forgetting that 40% of people who play GW2 are actually female….
I appreciate the new free content but can we please for the luv of god fix the current events and bugs first please.
As outlined in 1 of the blogposts, they’ve got different teams working on different things. New content is getting added and bugs are being fixed at the same time.
What is thanksgiving about?
Eating stuffed turkey, I think.
I understand that a lot of people really love the way the game is designed to be Linear and dumbed down [….]
Stopped reading after this. Really? Dumbed down? Really?
Vigil Keep, Durmand Priory, one of the “parks” in Divinity’s Reach, and the one I prefer the most: Idea Incubation Lab in Rata Sum.
Ok, no mounts, I see. “Majority” of the playerbase dsnt want a mount. I guess u made an ingame poll and u know the best :/ Too bad, mounts would be cool in GW2!
You seem to forget we had these kinds of discussions years ago. Yes, years.
Read through this before replying to this topic again, please.
Oh look it’s this thread again. When will you people stop trying?
Not only is this posted in the wrong subforum, it has been suggested before. It should be clear by now that a big majority of GW2’s players would not like mounts to be added.
Loving the spec as I feel more useful to my groups.
