Tazza does not drop anything at all.
ACP1/P3 is fastest for the average player. The cutscenes are also very long, giving you enough time to switch even after the bosses are dead.
This is true indeed, provided you get one of your party members to watch the cut scene, this is a must for pugs of cource.
+1 of course, however with the speed they fix these kind of crutial issues I would expect a fix a year from now.
Those who cannot be killed.
Just wait a few days… The content isn’t even that exiting. Don’t wait too long though, since it will probably be dead content before lonng
Not trying to troll, but you need to put a bit more info in your OP. Skills stop working…when? where? which? I’m sure more folks would reply to your topic with their own issue if there was a little more detail.
I would if I knew… Its just random, mostly at zergs I guess but its happened in dungeons too, don’t really know what triggers it. They just don’t activate when I use them and everyone tells me “just get downed”
Anyone tested this after the Jan 21 patch?
They actually announce when they fix bugs that need fixing. it would have been on the notes.
Search does not work blah blah.. This bug is truly annoying.
This is actually a game breaking bug and i think it should be a priority to be fixed. If you share my frustration let your voice be heard!
I don’t know what it is, Waldir, but yours is even more beautiful than mine, and that’s saying something. Did you dye it somehow? Infuse it?
It’s glorious, is what I’m saying.
It feels a lot heaver than most back items..
So… now she time traveled too? or did she already do that? i don’t remember.
Yeah! i love how the heart become partially full when they are not finished! l love this improvements!
Actually all sigils share cool down times, something that will change tomorrow. I would hold on a bit and look at the changes coming.
I too would like to thank that person. I bough one for about 50g and posted right away for 80g determined that that’s how much I was going to profit from it, after a few months sitting on the tp I was surpriced to see it go but a bit regretfull now that it has gone passed 90g.
Thanks for the reponces and willingness to test. Seems to me like this is something that should be noted on the wiki after over a year that the game has been live.
At the time I had a GS with my swap being S/F.. WoR, Retreat, Purging Flames as my utilities.
As I was in the dread fractal (where a lot of them have rifles ) I assmed I used wall of reflection and the mob getting hit by his own bullet counted towards my achivrment. This, however is my own assumption and was looking for a similar experience from the player base or a confirmation.
If this was the case it would make getting these achivements easyer with different professions.
While wealding a GS… How is this possible? Got it last night durring a fractal. Wiki doesn’t st anything about this being possible.
I bet it’s force and night.
Force and night do not stack…. Maybe force and +5% crit chance.
Force and crit chance do not stack either?
Thought the meta was force and bloodlust or force and air/fire.

True story: With my very first try (3 rare scepters + 1 Mystic Forge Stone) I got Storm. After that I experimented a bit with exotics and Mystic Forge Stone and never got anything more valuable than 4 gold. Once I lost 250 gold doing this, I hit the brakes.
Sounds like you hit the brakes 250g too late.
This " My kitten is bigger than yours" discussion again? The other one about the necro ended up getting kitten down bulecause it contributed to absolutely nothing… Its been 4 pages, lets close this up already.
This is probably the 20th thread of the same topic, and the answer will still be: no
Squeaky wheel gets the oil
maybe people are doing the Worldtour since they had plenty of time to do the LS.
This. Since there hasn’t been any LS to chase after a large number of server do the “World Boss Train” at reset which can leave you with a good ammount of ecto at the end. Multiply that by the ammount of players doing it and you have a big supply of ecto coming in everyday.
Inside joke? … I find it hard to believe the forge or anything in the game for that matter is 100% random, I’m sure there are a few if(){}else() statements thrown here and there.
Lets not forget that Nick was the first introduction of time gating/ince per account per day into the Guild Wars universe. He’s the source of our sufferings!
We just wanted to respond to the image that has been data-mined from the Edge of the Mists testing branch.
This is a testing branch. We conduct internal experiments for various territories on our testing branches. This particular experiment is not being tested for the West.
As always, keep in mind that we test a lot more than we ship, so data-mining is no guarantee of anything. If we have announcements to make about future content, we’ll make them through the usual official channels.
I guess this confirms that it is an actual possibility and not a joke of some sort like a lot of us were speculating.
But … How does that make anet any money?
Jk, we deff have been needing this for a long time.
Story mode does not reward tokens, explorable mode does.
I honestly think new legendaries will be introduced with new weapon types (like the so requested 2 Handed Axe). It makes sence.
Full damage builds are pretty much the only way to go in PvE. Guardian has enough support without defensive traits and armor. You can still use Wall of Reflection, Hold the Line, Stand Your Ground, Retreat, etc.
Full damage Guardians can potentially out DPS Warriors.
I run 10/25/0/25/10 taking traits to maximize damage and lower my WoR cool down. Not sure if it’s the best one though
edit: You’ll want Sword/Focus and Greatsword. Vulnerability on blind trait will let you stack tons of Vulnerability to help increase the party’s DPS
Agree, as a guardian, one must learn to prevent dmg, not soak it and heal over it.
While removing the party chat upon being kicked could be a design oversight, sometimes I feel like it was done to minimize the ammount of reports (kind of like how you can’t see names in wvw) … Maybe I’m just paranoid?

No word from ANet.
Plus, it’s better to sell them for 4.95 silver than to just throw them away. o_o)-b
Wrong, on the fractured livestream it was said they would be salvageble in the future.
And have Black Lion Chests also come with Black Lion Keys when you buy keys off the Gem Store.
This makes no sense
Anet cares very little about interface or the functionallity/convinience of the TP… You can tell by the gray simple buttons. Why are other buttons on the game a nice brush strock? Like the dialog and loot buttons. When the game was first launched I though “oh well they will work on these visual/convinience details soon enough” Well they didn’t.
I believe you would still do slightly more damage with the ascended weapon even at night.
The ascended weapon’s Weapon strength is +5% damage, but the Power stat increase adds in an extra sliver of % damage. If my understanding is correct, the + 5%/+ 10% damage is done on the final damage, so the ascended weapon would actually do a little bit more than 10% overall.
eg. using fake numbers as an example, and extremely simplified:
exotic: 100 base damage + 10% sigil = 110 damage
ascended: (105 base damage + 1 damage from power) + 5% sigil = 111.3 damageAlso, you need to factor in the extra precision and the extra crit damage (assuming you’re not dealing with crit immune foes).
The precision may actually be negligible to the point where the crit chance doesn’t increase.
I’m not 100% sure how crit damage increase calculation works, but regardless whether the +damage % on the sigils are added within the crit damage multiplier or before/after, the ascended weapon still edges over it because of the base damage (weapon strength & power) increase over the exotic weapon makes the multiplier work in favor of the larger base damage.
Thank you so much for taking the time to come up with these number! I guess i gotta go craft me an other GS :/
So basically your both greatswords have the same dps on a night dungeon. In my ascended gs i use sigil of night and i have an exotic gs with sigil of force.
.
Does this mean that you do 15% More dmg at night(Sigil + extra stats) and only 5% (Sigil) more during the day/open world?
(edited by Waldir.2571)
No, it inst that kind of topic. I was actually looking to see if anyone with a good understanding of number and percentages could give me some advice.
Before Ascended was introduced i ran with 2 GS, one with Sgil of nigh and an other with +5% dmg for obvious reasons. I finally made an ascended GS so i put the %5 dmg Sigil on it since i like the Ghastly GS to have the Night Sigil cause it makes it clear when it is night time. However,Ii started thinking and… if the ascended GS is %5 Stronger than the Exotic (Its what I’ve been told) wont I be losing %5 of that dmg leaving me at the same %? What should be the set up here? like i said I only like the Sigil placement cause of the nigh effect the Ghastly GS has. Thanks in advance!
File attached.
Just wait, before you know well get the typical, “With the new ascended extractor you can salvage your ascended items for a chance at getting T7 materials! Only 250 gems (while supplies last)”
I had no idea that coding an MMO was as easy as simply switching out a few scripts.
For something like wiping your story progress to zero, it absolutely should be that easy…
Unless you have very poor programming practices … which is unfortunately, possible — witness Anet’s inability to match skill descriptions with their actual functionality; for example the slayer potions bug where you take x% more damage from the listed foe instead of x% less.
Trust me, you don’t want programmers to write the descriptions. That’s what the tech writers are for.
What I meant was that there should be code that automatically gives the appropriate data to the description. So the tech writer would write the description while the actual numbers (e.g. “weakness: 3 seconds,” or “apply burning every 4 attacks”) would be plugged in automatically as a variable (the “3” and “4”).
I’m not sure if it’s as much of an issue right now, but a while back, we’d have lots of these numbers not updated when the skill was changed — implying they were inputted by hand!
This seems to be the case… At least in gw1 the numbers updated accordingly. While I don’t know what their programing language looks like I’m sure its complicated, however, I find this to be lazy programming. Programmer are considered to be some of laziest people in the business but only because they will make things update/run automatically so they won’t have to go back in. Gw2 programmers seem to be the exception to this rule.
This will never happen because Legendary armor (when it comes out) will possess this feature.
Someday I hope they will add a race change in gemstore, Asura brains are hard at work I’m sure.
Well The lil rats have managed to come with with Perfect Sex changes (Even your voice changes) This is great for a man living inside a woman’s body… But what about an Asura Living inside a Norn’s Body… It gets rather lonely in there.
I don’t think it’s as hard as you think. Everything you mentioned: Skills, appearance, story should be determined by entries in a database — it should not be hard to change — it could be as easy as a few search and replace scripts.
The most difficult issue would be what to do with the story, but I say: wipe your story progress to 0. That’s the price you have to pay to change races.
As for cost: certainly it should cost at least as much as a total makeover kit since it has more functionality. I see no problems with that.
The problem with wiping the story means someone could, say, level up to 40 while doing all the story missions, change their race, then do all those missions again and gain easy experience.
The only way that could work would be to remove any exp and rewards from missions that were previously done. Or reset their level too.
Make a lvl 80 requirement.
And I agree with everything lord said… Its not as hard as you think.
Good Idea. I can’t believe nobody has had this issue or thought of certain ways around this before.
It’s a good thing you post this suggestion in a forum that accumulates lots of dev feedback.
If you have nothing nice to say…
Yes you can. I have not tried it with jewels but if you can transmutate them more than likely it works.
I saw on a different thead other calculation which come up with the same conclusion… Ascended vs Ascended you will be hitting harder but you will be getting hit harder since the increase in damage is greater than the increase in armor.
They have said before they don’t mind people putting videos up. The the monetization factor is something that’s against the terms and conditions but they also said that they wold not go after anyone doing it. As far as YouTube flagging videos on their own… I don’t know if anet would even bother stepping up to help since the majority of videos do make it into YouTube.
