Ofc its not legitimate. Why are the lodestones so expensive? Bcs more ppl want twilight/sunrise than any other legendary. If twilight(and Dreamer) would be ugly, im pretty sure onyx price would be comparable to glacial. Demand makes the price. The problem is not that charged lodestones would drop less than glacial, the problem is that charged are more desired, bcs more ppl like legendary GS than any other legendary weapon. Therefore the higher price on GS is legitimate.

There are many other weapons that require lodestones. Infinite Light, for example.

The gem “issue” is a symptom of the real problem which is a market that’s in total upheaval due to the banning of bots and investors creating artificial inflation to profit off of it.

Fix those two issues and gem prices will drop again.

My bet is that they simply decided to move from original design, maybe due to whining coming from gamur gurls.

I’m waiting like a week for devs to comment on GS Legendary bug. But I guess fixing account medals is a luxury, when game is ridden with far more serious bugs.

In the German forum there was the proposal of an island as guild instance. I think that wasn’t discussed here until now? It could start with an half-ruined fort, a scruffy village and a lot of feral space. Then the guild can start to upgrade the island bit by bit: strengthen the walls and doors (like in WvW), build and decorate a festival hall, “buy” vendors and crafting workshops, start a tavern as place for banquets and character-weddings, install an armory, define pieces of the island as building places for character houses, buy an asura waypoint, … You could even think about a derelicted mine as a small dungeon.

Read it just now and it sounds amazing. It can be used for personal housing as well.

Basically, in addition to housing in a standard home instance, they can add specific instances, which have specific themes.

For example, they can add a Forest Instance, which is a big patch of land, surrounded by trees, with a river, flowing nearby.
You can improve both house and surrounding lands.
As example, on level 3+ of house growth you can build a watermill on river and/or irrigation system, which enables your ability to grow a certain kind of flora.

Great thing is, this proposal is not that hard to implement. Just throw an NPC, who lets you choose and buy new instance and who can port you there.
Creating an instance itself is not hard, assuming that it is just a bunch of new small maps.
And upgrading your infrastructure (can be done trough the same NPC) simply takes you to another variation of such map, where upgrade already exists.

They can even allow to buy instance of every kind and make achievements for ownership and progression of all instances, similar to dungeon explorer or cultural clothes achievements.

A mesmer can drop from the platform that the chest is on to the rocks below and survive with the half fall trait, my mesmer did it with 1000 hp or so left, and successfully port people up for the chest and to fight the champ. Find a decent mesmer, problem solved.

Personally, I dislike neighborhoods.

They can’t be handcrafted and end up being a bland grass-covered plain or something similar.
Your neighboring houses are always abandoned and/or ignored, no one lives there. It’s very depressing.
It takes away feeling of being unique and damages immersion overall.

Making tons of gold is the only difficult thing in GW2. If you want something else, then you want an easy way to get a precursor.

LotRO has the best housing system to date, imho. Finding some way to improve upon it would be ideal.

Houses in Lotro are too bland and boring,imo. I also dislike neighborhood system, it takes away feeling of being unique.

The lodestones in particular – the more popular ones are going are currently running up 200g or more on top of the 100g for Icy Runestones and 200g+ for T6 materials.

Charged lodestones is the only problem for Legendary I see. You can’t farm them, because there is only a dozen of Sparks in whole game and CoE dungeon is not a solution either, because you need to find additional 4 people, willing to farm for these stones.

For the millionth time, this game does not require any skills. It’s casual. There is NO hardcore content whatsoever.
